Once again, this chapter is all for those who love Black & White! ENJOY!

Primary: Black & White.

Dark Light:

Black felt as if he was floating. Floating in nothingness… it felt oddly relaxing. He couldn't see or move his body. He had no body right now. It was just his thoughts. Perhaps he ascended into a higher plane of existence, while his body was trapped in a ball/stone.

Since he couldn't do anything except think, he thought about everything that had happened. Starting with the most recent. So, Reshiram sucks in everything in the vicinity whenever it reverts into the Light Stone, huh? Including people. Lesson learned: stay away from tired Reshiram/Zekrom. That probably explained why there were small pebbles levitating around Reshiram when it first awoke before gravity took over.

What was happening before being sucked into the Light Stone? Black's mind was instantly filled with thoughts about her. White. She saw him getting sucked in. She tried to save him, but he stopped her. Why? He was afraid that she would get sealed in with him. But he also stopped her from getting help.

Black thought about his actions and the possible reasoning of them. He wanted to show her that he was keeping her promise. The advertisement of the BW Agency. And he wanted to show it to her before things went out of hand. He thought that getting sealed into the Light Stone meant a high probability that he would never see her again.

… He missed her greatly. But he was glad that she was safe and not sealed in with him. And in hindsight, he was glad that he stopped White from going to get help. That way, he could deliver his final thoughts to her. Of course, getting sealed while White was looking at him was probably going to hurt her greatly.

As Black thought, a few of his actions didn't make a lot of sense. For one, why were his last words asking her about the remaining debt? None of the "take good care of yourself" or things like that. So why? Come to think of it, it was the exact same question he asked when he first separated from White in the Gear Station. So why were his last words always asking her about the debt? Yes, he wanted to pay her back, but if all remaining debt was gone, he had no more reasons to stay with her. Did he want to get away from her?

Black knew that it wasn't true. He wanted to stay with her. So why did he keep on asking? The answer soon came to his mind. He was going to show care for her by offering to stay with her even though all his debt got cleared.

White never mentioned the debt to him, except that one time when they first met. And both times when he mentioned it, she looked sad. Of course, both times were immediately followed by separation, so that could be explained. But still, she looked sad for a different reason. She didn't want to be apart from him. Could it be that she was afraid the he might just leave her if all the debt was gone?

If so, then this was quite ironic. If he kept asking her about the debt each time he was about to be separated from her, then sooner or later, the debt would be paid off and he'd be gone temporarily before he reunited with her. Oh, it would be terribly ironic if the debt was all paid off right now and he got sealed in the Light Stone.

Black focused on his memories, and at White's face when she told him of the remaining debt. Since he never heard her answer this time, he could only focus on her expression from the Gear Station. She was hesitant. Fearful. Afraid that he might leave her. And when he made her the promise… He remembered catching a glimpse of her expression before the train moved too far away. She looked surprised but so… happy.

It was clear now. She cared greatly for him too, and quite possibly even loved him. Love. What was love? Black never really thought about it. But since that was all he could do right now, he explored the thought. Did White love him? Perhaps. It would explain why she was hesitant to talk to him about the remaining debt. And it would explain why she looked so happy and longing when he made her that promise.

Now, did he love her? Also perhaps. He had no incentive to make her that promise at the Gear Station. And also no reason to show her that he kept that promise. Even though White was the one who asked him if he could advertise her company at the Pokémon League, since she never mentioned it again, he had no reason to make and keep that promise. But he did anyways. Why?

He wanted her happy. And making such a promise would be pleasantly surprising for her. Keeping that promise would be equally pleasantly surprising. And if he showed her that he was willing to stay with her even after the debt was gone…

Of course, he knew that staying with her was detrimental to his dreams. Even though White had tried Pokémon battles and showed great potential, she wasn't a battle fanatic. She would always seek business opportunities. If he stayed with her, one of their goals would get postponed thanks to the other. But he cared more about White than his dreams… was that love?

Regardless, it was a moot point since he was sealed in the Light Stone. But when/if he got freed, he was going to tell White everything. Debt or not, he was going to stay with her and help her with her goals even if it meant that his journey to his dreams got sidetracked. And most importantly, he was going to tell her that he loved her greatly.

Oh, White would be worried sick about him right now. And it pained him to know it. But he stood by his actions. He couldn't allow her to be sealed in with him. She had to go on with her life. And knowing her, she would look for a way to save him. Even if she had to spend all day every day.

Black felt a sudden change. He was still sealed in the Light Stone and he was still only thoughts, but something was happening. He felt… warm. And he felt… heavy. Everything around him seemed to get brighter, and he could feel it. Was Reshiram waking up from its sleep?

He didn't know how long he was sealed in like this, but it seemed that it was about to end. He heard a familiar howl. The howl of Reshiram as it slowly woke up and reverted to its true form.

Did White do it? Did she manage to find a way to free him? Or was this an unrelated incident? He certainly hoped that White was the one to save him. It would mean so much, and he would be able to see her immediately. He would be able to see her smiling face faster… She was probably ecstatic to see him again.

Black slowly felt his body returning to its physical form. He couldn't see yet. And he couldn't move. But he could still hear around him. But there was only silence. … Wait, he could hear something. As if someone was panting in the distance. … Was that White?

He soon felt his entire body aching as it finished being reverted to normal. He opened his eyes. Everything was blurry, as if it was the first time he used them in years. He tried to rub them, but his arms were super slow. Instead, he chose to blink several times to clear his vision. Little by little, things became clear. And soon, he was able to see everything.

And the first thing he saw was Zekrom lying injured on the ground in front of him, with Kyurem lying in a similar state not too far away. … What happened here? Obviously a big and chaotic battle, but… why?

He soon heard a very familiar voice.

"B – Black?"

"Miss President?"

Black quickly forced his body to move. It didn't respond quickly however, so it felt like minutes before he could find White around Zekrom. The girl was sitting on the ground while leaning into the Legendary Dragon, looking as tired and injured as the Pokémon itself. She wasn't bleeding anywhere, but she was covered in scratches, bruises, and dirt. She must have been involved very closely to the battle between Zekrom and Kyurem to be in this state.

Despite looking like she was about to faint any moment, the girl looked overjoyed to see him at long last.

"Black… You're… back," she muttered happily but weakly.

Black knelt in front of her and held her hands. "Yes. Thank you for saving me, Miss President."

White closed her eyes as her tears started to fall. "Black… You have no idea… how much I missed you. Every day for the past two years, I've dreamt about seeing you again." She opened her eyes and forced her tired body to get up to her knees and lean towards him for a hug. Black pulled her close, and she let herself relax in his embrace. "I love you so much…"

Black didn't know what to say, so he simply patted White on the back. Two years, huh? He was stuck in the Light Stone for two years? Wow. He could only imagine the emotional and mental turmoil White had to experience in that time, and the effort she poured in to save him. And his suspicions were correct. She did love him. And he loved her. But right now, no words came, and no words were necessary. He simply hugged her close and rubbed her back.

For a while, White simply enjoyed relaxing in his embrace. But then, something happened. She gathered her remaining strength and shoved the boy away from her.

Black crashed into the ground and quickly sat up, wondering what happened and why. White was still on her knees, barely maintaining balance. She slowly looked into his eyes, tears still falling from hers.

"Black… I have no regrets," she said quietly. "I saved you and I saw you again. That's all that matters now…"

Black frowned, as he had no idea why White was saying this. Was she dying? There's no way. She's not even injured as bad as Zekrom. And even then…

"Miss President!" he yelled as he suddenly realized what was happening.

"I love you Black. Never forget…" White glanced back at Zekrom as it started to shrink. She let out a bitter smile and faced Black once more. "… Welcome back. … And good bye."

Black quickly reached out for her. But in that instance, the Zekrom rapidly shrank, sucking the girl into itself at the same time. And before Black could even call for her, White had been sealed inside the Dark Stone.

The Dark Stone rolled away from Black after it hit the ground. The boy staggered towards it, unable to believe what happened. Such cruel irony… Why? … How did this…

"Miss… President…" Black stammered. He reached out for the Dark Stone but it suddenly flew out of his grasp. "No… no!" He began to chase the Dark Stone all his might, but it was way too fast. Before he even took three steps, the Dark Stone had flown through a hole in the cave's ceiling, flying far, far away. All Black could do was stare into the distance in despair. "MISS PRESIDENT! NOOOOOO!"

Did I just miss Rock Slide (see previous chapter for joke)? … Whatever. Still worth it. In case you didn't realize… the whole "sympathy" thing for the Black & White pairing IS active, but for SL and not DE. While I won't be hammering White in SL, in DE, all bets are off. And once again, for those who love Black and White (you know who you are), this is for you! … Sorry.

This chapter has the opposite purpose to that of DE #005, which had White finding Black and saving him from the stoning problem. That time, I was being nice and trying to help ease the wounds caused by Volume 51. In this chapter, I am pouring the battery acid and tap-dancing on the wound. Observe!

Ahem. Black is sealed in Light Stone in Volume 51, at the end of the BW arc. Oh, boohoo. And of course, most of you are waiting super impatiently for Volume 52 so that you can get closure. THAT is merely futile hope! Volume 52 will be the start of the BW2 arc. As such, only Rakutsu and Faitsu will appear in the main spotlight. White won't even be in focus. And she won't be able to rescue Black until probably Volume 54, or whenever the BW2 arc is ending. And THAT will take a long while to get here. Why? Because ORAS will be the center of attention by the time the BW2 arc gets anywhere. Of course you know this is true. But it takes one little dastardly reminder to have the misery return! … Well, for some of you. Conclusion? Thou art SCREWED! And imagine, after all that, this happened. Black comes out of the Light Stone, only to see White being sealed in the Dark Stone. "NOOOOO" indeed. And Black can be a total jerk and say: "Well, at least I don't have to keep that promise anymore…" or "See you in two years, Miss President!" … And then he can completely forget about her!

Have fun waiting for Black and White's reunion! … Such a sadistic mon-

Next up: Ruby & Sapphire. Hell, it's about time. Seriously.
