I always keep saying this; sorry these chapters keep taking so long. However I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for this chapter until like a month after I posted the last one, to which I realized that I already had an idea to go in: Tiki's restoration ritual. What a dumbass I can be! I've also been caught up in a couple of new stories that I started. No need to ask you to review because I know you'll review because this is my highest viewing story. But I certainly hope you all enjoy it!

Very early in the morning while it was still dark, Robin was asleep in his cot as Tharja started to get dressed.

*The test worked perfectly…* Tharja thought. *Now I can work on a more permanent potion.*

After Tharja finished getting dressed, she left the tent and looked back at Robin.

"Soon, Robin, you will be all mine…" She said to herself before leaving.

Later that morning the Shepherds continued marching toward their next destination, a shrine dedicated to the Divine Dragon. They could spare the time as Walhart's army had retreated back to the imperial capital due to the fall of both Steiger and Yen'fay. As they marched, Rei'qu kept looking at Morgan with concern.

*… Morgan…* Rei'qu kept thinking to herself.

At the front of the lines, Robin was spacing out like he was severely lost in thought. Say'ri picked up on Robin's bizarre behavior and walked to his side.

"Robin?" Say'ri spoke.

Robin didn't respond at all the first time.

"Robin, are you all right?" Say'ri asked again.

"Huh?" Robin reacted. "Oh, Say'ri. Sorry, I just… had this weird dream happen to me last night."

"What was it about?"

"I remember something about Tharja in my tent… but I don't remember anything else."

"Perhaps twas just a dream."

"Yeah… I hope so…"

Eventually Chrom and Robin had stopped moving forward which stopped the whole march.

"There's something about the air here…" Chrom said. "It's relaxing… calming…"

Lissa fell back on the ground and lied on the grass. "I know, it makes you want to just lie down here and take a nice, long nap."

"That DOES sound tempting…" Lucina said.

Robin looked around the area, but he didn't have the same feeling that everyone else was getting. "Really? It seems like any other field to me…"

"'Tis Naga's Cradle." Say'ri said. "The place the divine dragon once called home. The Voice will perform the holy rite and commune with Naga to regain her strength."

They continued toward the temple and once they reached the altar of the shrine, Tiki started praying.

"Lady Tiki?" Lucina spoke.

Tiki did not respond at all and continued praying.

"Lady Tiki?" Lucina asked again.

"Be silent, milady." Say'ri requested of Lucina. "During the rite, the Voice must not be interrupted."

"I am sorry." Lucina said. "I thought she may have fallen asleep. But she seems so peaceful… What do you think she's seeing? That is if she's dreaming?."

"I imagine-" Chrom was about to say until he noticed something approaching them in the distance. "Oh no, Risen are approaching from the south!"

"The Voice is defenseless in her current state!" Say'ri said. "We cannot allow the enemy to reach her!"

"Shepherds, form a shield around Tiki!" Robin commanded. "Do not separate from that formation for any reason!"

The Shepherds formed a wall all around Tiki and readied themselves for any Risen that might come.

Packs of flying Risen moved in to attack and the battle had officially begun. The long-range attackers like Virion, Ricken and Lissa were all picking off enemies from the back of the lines, right by Tiki while the front lines were dominated by Chrom, Frederick, Sully and Vaike. Everyone else was fighting off any stragglers that seemed to break through their front lines.

The battle went on for quite some time and the Risen were still coming without any signs of slowing down.

"Hah… hah…" Robin panted from exhaustion. "These things just won't stop…"

Say'ri had cut another Risen down before jumping back to Robin's side. "The rite should be almost finished."

"I really hope it does." Robin said. "I don't think we can take much more of this. We're all getting exhausted…"

"Aye." Say'ri nodded before cutting down another Risen. "Only now have I started to break a sweat."

"I wonder how Morgan's doing…" Robin muttered.

Morgan was also just starting to get tired from all the fighting.

"How much longer is this going to take?" Morgan asked no one in particular.

A Risen riding a gryphon flew in and tried to strike Morgan with an axe, but while Morgan was able to block it with her sword she was still knocked onto the ground. The Risen turned around to finish off Morgan.

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY SISTER!"

Severa had jumped in between the Risen and Morgan and as soon as the Risen came within striking distance, she cut the gryphon's head off and swung it again to decapitate the head of the Risen riding it. Severa turned back to Morgan and helped her up.

"Thanks, Severa." Morgan said. "Look out!"

Another Risen riding a black Pegasus was about to blast Severa with wind magic, but something had quickly come by and slashed the Risen in one swipe. The Risen immediately turned into purple haze as the girls' savior was revealed to be Rei'qu.

"Don't let your guard down just yet." Rei'qu told them before continuing to fight off the other Risen.

As Severa and Morgan managed to regain their composure, the numbers of Risen were already beginning to dwindle. The fight had continued on for at least a few more minutes until the last of the Risen had been taken out.

"YAH!" Rei'qu had stabbed the last Risen straight through the head and it faded into purple mist. "That should be the last of them."

Say'ri had walked up to Tiki just as she was starting to regain consciousness.

"Lady Tiki, we have dispatched all enemies in the area." Say'ri said.

"Thank you." Tiki said. "I'm sorry that you all risked your lives for me, but it wasn't for naught."

"You've taken in the power of the divine dragon?" Say'ri asked.

"Yes." Tiki nodded. "And now I shall offer you my assistance in the coming battles."

"Are you certain about this, Lady Tiki?" Lucina asked.

"I am." Tiki answered. "I've had enough of a life of solitude for now. And I've always longed to know the world better. Now I can help you save it."

Since the Shepherds were all worn out from the battle, they decided to set up camp at the shrine so the injured have enough time to be healed. At that time, Rei'qu was walking around the campsite until she came across Severa walking with Morgan.

"Oh, good." Rei'qu said. "I was looking for you."

"What for?" Severa asked.

"For saving Morgan earlier." Rei'qu replied. "If it weren't for you, I don't know what I'd be doing right now."

"I'm guessing you're from the future, like her, me and Lucina?" Severa asked.

"I wanted to keep it hidden, but…" Rei'qu tried to find the right words to say. "I didn't know how to act."

"Do you know who your parents are?" Morgan asked.

"Of course." Rei'qu answered. "My mother is Say'ri."

"Then who's your father?" Severa asked.

"Robin."

At first, Severa thought that she may have misheard that response, so she decided to ask again.

"I'm sorry, what was his name again?" Severa asked.

"Robin." Rei'qu answered again.

"You're… You mean a Robin that ISN'T the tactician of Ylisse, right? Definitely not THAT Robin because he's my dad."

Morgan then remembered the words that her father said to her about not telling anyone anything that would imply that Say'ri and her dad might have a relationship.

"N-no, of course not!" Morgan intervened. "That's just silly, Severa. I'm sure that Rei'qu is just pulling your chain. Right, Rei'qu?"

"Morgan, you told me that the only thing you remember is your father." Rei'qu said. "And I know you're my sister, so only Robin can be my father, right?"

"N-no… I won't accept that!" Severa started shouting. "I'm Morgan's sister! Cordelia is our mother! I refuse to believe Dad would cheat on Mom like that!"

"From what I remember, he only ever had eyes for our mother." Rei'qu said.

"No!" Severa started to run away from the camp. "It's a lie! IT'S ALL A LIE!"

"Severa, wait!" Morgan went to chase after Severa.

"I better alert Father about this." Rei'qu said as she ran for Robin's tent.

Severa kept running through a thick forest as rain had started to fall to the ground.

*I won't believe it!* Severa thought, tears starting to fall from her eyes. *I simply won't believe it!* At some point while running, Severa slipped on some mud and fell on her bottom. "Ow!"

"Guwaaaaah!"

A Risen appeared and started to approach Severa, reading to cleave her with its axe. All Severa could do was just cower in fear, her eyes still flooding with tears. Just as the Risen brought down its axe, Severa shut her eyes and waited for death to take her… but it never came. She opened up her eyes to see that someone had appeared right in front of her and stabbed the Risen in the face with a spear.

"Mom?" Severa muttered.

Cordelia fell to the ground as the Risen faded into purple mist. Upon closer inspection, Severa could see that the axe was embedded very deep into her shoulder.

"Mom!" Severa got in front of her wounded mother and held onto her. "Mom…"

Cordelia, blood dripping from the edges of her mouth, smiled and hugged Severa back. "Severa…"

"Mom, please don't die!" Severa cried. "I don't want to lose you again! Just please! … Please!"

"Severa…" Cordelia whispered. "What's important… is that you're all right…"

"This is all… my fault! I refused to believe… that Dad would be with someone other than you… And now you're hurt… because of me."

"Please…" Cordelia said as she rubbed the back of Severa's head. "I had a feeling… that we wouldn't be together… Heh, I always fell for the men I could never get."

"You… you knew?"

Cordelia nodded. "Severa… promise me…"

"No! You're not going to die! I won't let it happen again!"

"This axe ruptured one of my lungs… even if I remove it, I won't have much time left… Now promise me that if you insist on being Robin's daughter… That you'll accept your new mother."

"No! YOU'RE my mother! I won't allow myself to replace you!"

"Heh, of course you wouldn't… Even though you try to hide it, you know you love me. Just… try to get along with her… That's all I ask…"

With that, Cordelia's last breath gave out and Severa's crying started to become more intense.

"Mom? Mom! MOM!" Severa cried and cried.

A/N: How many of you suspected that I was planning to kill off Cordelia? Honestly, I would never imagine having her die in the game, just like any of the other characters. Anyway, if you're bored of waiting for this chapter, you can check out some of my other stories. I just started a Pokemon and Fairy Tail fanfic and if either of those interest you, go ahead and check them out.
