- Violet -

A Week Later:

Seven days had passed since the Tracy's found out about Violet's heart condition, and, since she had kept her new optimal heart rate, was allowed home for the first time in just less than a fortnight. Home. Home is where the heart is, or at least, that's what her mother told her a few years ago, and what a bad choice of words it is now. Violet had also asked a doctor if she could continue to pursue horse riding, and was allowed to, if she didn't do anything silly on her. Violet was rather much looking forward to seeing Spirit and riding her again. But a promise she made to her father which involved not actually riding her until she was back at school threw that out of the window

Violet had somehow crept back to her shy self as she stepped through the front door again, Alan had her hand.

"Vi-Vi, can I show you my pictures?" Alan asked, guiding her to the living room

"Sure Alan, where are they?" Violet replied

"Upstairs in my bedroom!" He said excitedly, Violet looked at her family. She didn't want to leave them to take her things, but they smiled at her

"You go, Vi - We'll take care of this" Her father smiled

Violet returned the smile

"So, Alan. About these pictures..." Violet smiled at him, and he led her upstairs to his bedroom.

There were 4 bedrooms in the Tracy family. One for their parents, although now, for their Parent. One which Scott and John shared, and as the eldest, their walls were covered with Athletes, since John and Scott wished to be Athletes when they were older. Then Violet and Virgil's room was covered in drawings and filled with books, but Violet's side had a few aspects of horses. And lastly, Alan and Gordon's. Gordon's side was covered with his swimming medals and certificates, but Alan's didn't have anything on them.

Violet was led to the first bedroom, which Alan and Gordon shared, and was led to his desk where several pieces of paper and colours were strewn across the desk where Alan had clearly been busy. He picked up the pictures.

"I drew these for you, Vi-Vi. Mrs Jackson said it was a good idea" Alan smiled proudly

Of course - The boys had been to school throughout the last week, much to their dismay since Violet was in hospital, but the moment they were dismissed, they came straight to the hospital.

Alan handed her the two pictures. The first one had a picture of the five Tracy sons saying 'Get Well Soon!', clearly, his teacher helped him think of that. The next was a picture of Violet in the hospital bed, smiling at Alan, who was beside her. For a 6 year old, these are pretty good

"Wow Alan! These are fantastic!" She congratulated. He beamed at her, clearly proud of his work

"Thank you Vi!" He replied

Violet gave the pictures back to Alan, who put them back on his desk.

"So what have you been doing at school Alan?" Violet asked

"We been reading The Ugly Duckling with Mrs Jackson" Alan said

"Oh, wow! What's it about? I never read it" Violet asked. She had read The Ugly Duckling several times, and had enjoyed it in her childhood. But she hadn't it read it in years

"It's about a grey duckling and all it's friends think it's ugly because its not like them, and it grows up and becomes a beautiful swan" Alan said. He was clearly proud of his knowledge

"Oh, wow! It sounds really good" Violet said

Hey...

That small fairy tale is exactly what mother must've been thinking of me as she was dying

Yeah, I know it's a bit of a filler, but the general gist is that she's home. I promise things pick up pace chapter after next definitely. Trust, me - I know

If you guys have any ideas (Although I have a few) Then I'll see if I can include them somehow. But please, keep reading and reviewing and thanks for all the reviews and follows and favourites I've recieved so far C:
