I do not own Attack on Titan or any characters belonging to it.

So yeah, updated. I made a one shot the other day of my favorite OT3. And also updated my de-aged Eren story. I finally got around to updating this.

Now I am contemplating lying down and wishing I had a somewhat nice man making me feel better. Haha!

Levi knew that earlier had been a triumph, getting Eren to not leap to what could have possibly been his death. But that was just a battle. There was still a war to be faced. Eren was dealing with a terrible depression, with self-hating thoughts. The Eren he knew before was strong and annoying and full of life. He wasn't the type to back down to anyone. But those damn MPs tormented him. They were the cause of this all. They were to blame for the situation on the roof. Not Eren. No, poor Eren was not to blame for anything.

The Corporal wondered if he had even thought of coming to him, to ask for help or to just vent. Eren should have known he could have come to him if anything was wrong. Or perhaps Levi should have been more obvious about it. Maybe he should have been the one to step forward and try to start talking. Perhaps if he had, then Eren might be in better condition. Well, he couldn't beat himself up about it. Nothing would change if he did. In order to help Eren, Levi knew he had to make changes now.

The morning had been well over by now, going past noon. No doubt it was lunch time. Levi figured he should try to get some food into Eren as well as himself but the brunette was still asleep. He would have to wake him up, see if he was feeling hungry and see if Eren was alright with him leaving for a short while.

Patting the other's cheek gently, Levi tried rousing him from slumber. "Eren… wake up…" He said in a soft tone, successfully waking up the other. Those teal green eyes peeked open, looking dazed for a moment until Eren's mind woke up more and looked to the one who had done the waking up. His first question was "What time is it?"

"It's past noon. Around 2:30." Levi replied, watching as Eren seemed to try shuffling down to hide more beneath the covers. He didn't seem bothered to be in Levi's room, in his bed with the man no less. But that was a good thing to the Corporal. It showed that Eren was comfortable there. Either that or he was just too tired to care.

"I was thinking of getting some food. Are you up to going with me?" Inside the room, levi could guarantee him that no one would bother them. He had spoken with Erwin and people were given strict orders to not bother him. Only for emergencies. But outside of the room, anyone could just talk as they wanted. "Can I just stay here?" Eren asked. He wasn't quite ready to go out and face people. Mikasa and Armin would flock him immediately and he just didn't want to see their concerned expressions or face their questions. Levi could sympathize.

"You can stay if you want. I'll just be right back." He wasn't comfortable with leaving Eren there on his own.

"You promise you are going to be here?" The shorter man asked.

"You promise you are going to come back?" The brunette replied.

Levi patted his head before moving away from the bed and heading for the door. Eren stayed put in the bed as he left, heading to the kitchen to get them something to eat. Some tea too.

On his own, Eren remained laying down in bed. His mind was slowly going through the events that had brought him there. He broke down during the night, going to the Corporal first to ask for him to kill him and when Levi refused, he went to the roof to try and take matters into his own hands.

He remembered standing up on that ledge and remembered every word Levi said to him and how he pulled him back. He remembered just sobbing into Levi's chest and staying there until the sun rose. And then he came here. Sitting up now, Eren ran a hand through his hair, sighing deeply and looking around. The Corporal's room. Even though the man practically just left, he was already feeling the loneliness seeping in. It was cold and painful and he didn't like it. While the young man didn't want to go out to see people, he found that he just wanted the Corporal around. He felt better with him near.

Eren stared at the door for a few minutes, waiting, wanting Levi to come right back. But he was taking a while. He was getting them food, but why couldn't he come back faster. Eren didn't like sitting here alone in the quiet. It left him to his thoughts and the voices that called him a monster. Pulling his knees to his chest, Eren put his head down and wrapped his arms around his legs. He sat in silence, growing ever uneasy.

"I'm back." Levi announced as he opened the door, shifting the food he had in his arms and shutting the door behind him with a kick of his foot. He paused when he saw Eren, all wrapped up in a ball on the bed. "You alright?" He questioned, picking up his pace to put the food down and go check on the one in the bed. Eren had shot his head up so quickly when the door opened and he heard Levi. Finally he was back. "I'm fine… just got lonely."

But now that Levi was back, he would be fine. "Come over here and eat. I won't have crumbs in my bed." Levi said. Eren pulled back the covers and got out of the bed, shuffling on over. "Your friend Sasha practically ate everything. But I managed to get us something good." Some bread and warm stew along with some tea from his own supply.

"Don't go wasting anything. Eat up." Levi was going to get this kid back into good condition and he would start with making sure Eren at everything off his plate and was sufficiently full. A healthy body would help start making a healthy mind.

Upon his insisting, the brunette started eating, occasionally looking across from him to see Levi eating as well. They stayed in silence, save for the noise of spoons hitting the bowl and the occasionally slurp coming from Eren which earned him a look from Levi each time. The bowls were soon empty, cups now void of tea and bread reduced to a few crumbs. Both were filled with food and sighing in relief.

"You know we are going to have to talk about last night at some point." The Corporal broached the subject. Eren flinched. He knew it was going to happen but nonetheless it wasn't exactly fun to hear. "I want you to know Eren…" The brunette was listening closely, though avoided looking at the other. "… I will not ever kill you. No matter how much you plead and beg. Nor will I let you kill yourself." Eren peeked at him for a moment.

"You are going to grow into an annoying adult and find yourself some girl who is willing to put up with you and you are going to have a family and be an annoying old man." Levi said. "You aren't going to die any time soon. Not if I can help it."

The Corporal was saying he wouldn't let anything happen to Eren and he was starting to really believe him. "I want to help you get better Eren and I'll do anything. I just need you to come talk to me, to anyone when something is wrong. You can't keep things bottled up. Everyone here wants to help you and they will keep you safe." Levi was sincere with every word. Everyone here would lay their life on the line for Eren. They trusted him. They wanted to get him help as well. They all hated the ones who did this to him and Levi was sure to make them pay.

"Corporal…" Eren spoke up. He wanted help; he didn't want to think these things. He wanted to believe all the words Levi said. "If I try…" Levi interrupted him. "You won't try, you will do it." He said, then allowed Eren to continue. The young titan nodded in understanding. "If I do… can you promise to grow old with me?" He didn't want to be by anyone else.

Levi was a little taken back by the request. He hadn't expected that. "Tch, brat like you saying stuff like that…" There was more silence between them. Eren knew what he said. He was comfortable around the Corporal. He felt safe with him, safer than with others. He didn't want to be around anyone but him.

'I can't make any promises' is what Levi would have said in the past. Before they finished off the titans, when they were losing comrades almost every time they went on a mission. For the first time ever, Levi could promise someone his life with some more stable certainty that he wouldn't be devoured by some titan while they were out.

"I promise."
