Author's Note: OH. MY. GOD. I am sooooooo sorry for my long time off. Summer has been busy and frustrating but I'm finally back! Holy hell, I noticed that I haven't updated in MONTHS! I feel so bad! I'll try my best not to do that ever again. I have a new (well, new to me) computer that works much better so that should help a bit! Seriously, I hope you guys are still interested in this story, because I still want to finish it!

cortez30- Ha, yeah. Ever since I read Waiting on an Enemy I've had a thing for Kyle dressing up, he does dress up in a dress in that one! Thanks for the review!

serendipityrain711- I hope I get better at writing them in character, I feel a little rusty. Yes, that tension will not go away easily! Thanks for the review!

Kyle's POV

I walk down the stair, pushing the shirt back up as it starts to fall off my shoulder. Damn, sometimes I forget how much bigger than me Cartman is. Still, the clothes were warm and soft so I'm not complaining. They also smelled just like Cartman usually does, like cinnamon and spice, with a hint of the chocolate bars that he loves to carry around and snack on…crap that sounded weird…When did I fall so hard for him that I recognize his smell? I notice Cartman was sitting on his couch, looking up at me with a stunned expression.

Why is he looking at me like that?

I stop at the bottom of the steps, fidgeting under his gaze.

"Uh, Cartman? Why are you looking at me like that?"

That seemed to shake him out of his stupor and he turns his head and looks away.

"I'm not looking at you, day walker." He insists.

"But you were just staring at me weirdly…is there something wrong? What, do I look weird or something?" I ask self-consciously. I know I'm pretty small for my age compared to some of the other boys, and usually it doesn't bother me but I know it's more obvious right now. These clothes just seem to accentuate it.

"No, you're just…" He says, and then laughs slightly, though it comes out a bit forced. "Does your mother even feed you? You look so tiny in that."

"I eat just fine, you're just bigger because you over eat." I shoot back.

"Oh, please. This is all muscle!" Cartman replies, flexing over dramatically.

I laugh at the ridiculous actions, my anxiety lessening by the minute. Cartman grins from his place on the couch. He pats the spot next to him, gesturing for me to sit. I walk slowly over and sit down.

"So, how about we watch a movie or something? Better than nothing."

"Sure, what do you have in mind?"

Cartman gets up, walking over to a shelf filled with movies. He looks over the selection before pulling one out.

"How about this one?" He asks, holding up a movie, the cover had a woman covered with blood backing away. It read in big white letters 'Senior Slaughter 2: Reunion'.

"Unless it's too scary for you, that is…" He said slyly, waving the movie around. "I mean it is rated R, how would your mommy react if she found out her baby was watching an R rated movie?"

I glare at him. "Please, some gory movie isn't going to scare me. Anyway, what my mom doesn't know won't hurt her."

"Oh! Bad boy Kyle, breaking the rules!" He teased while he popped the movie in, grabbing the remote. He flicked the lights off as he passed the switch, leaving us in a surprising amount of darkness for the daytime, the curtains keeping out all the outside light.

"You can't watch a horror movie with the lights on." He mentions as he plops down next to me, pressing play. He leans back and casually throws his arms over to rest on the back of the couch and consequently putting one arm behind my head. I breathe quietly and try to relax. I'm comfortable with him but… we almost never spend time together alone, just the two of us, in a dark room…fuck; this is not good for my hormones.

I try to watch the movie to distract myself. It starts off pretty slow but soon the killer is hacking away at every person they come across, blood flying everywhere. I'm pretty sure humans don't even have that much blood in them. Cartman seems to be enjoying himself though, watching the stereotypical dumb blond girl running away from the killer, somehow tripping and falling over nothing. I mean seriously, how can anyone be that stupid?

My thoughts are interrupted by Cartman leaning forward to grab the bowl of cheesy poofs, setting it on his lap and stuffing a handful into his mouth. I can barely see his face in the dim light and hope that it's the same for him. I don't want him to notice my stare. It's strange how in just a couple of hours we can go from fighting to friends. That's how our relationship has always been. This morning I was glaring at him, angry at having to do what he says but now we were just sitting on his couch, watching a cheap gore movie and he even seemed to be giving me a break on the 'punishment' for losing the bet.

I don't really understand why though. Maybe he just wants to be nice so I don't tell anyone that I found him crying? I won't, of course, but maybe he thinks I will. I sign, deciding to just relax and enjoy myself. I sit up and grab the mug of tea, taking a long drink of it. I nearly drop it when I feel a warm hand on my lower back.

What is he up to?

I look back and lock eyes with Cartman. I'm probably looking as bewildered as I feel.

"You like the movie so far?"

"Well, it's super cheesy and badly written, so…" I say, raising an eyebrow. He just smirks at me.

"Those are the best ones to watch with someone."

"Why's that?"

He leans forward until his face is directly in front of mine.

"Because then you'll want to do things other than watch the movie." Cartman answer, a seductive tone I've only dreamed about coating his words.

"W-what?!" I squeak, surprised by the meaning.

Cartman just pulls back, laughing loudly.

"You should have seen your face!" He chokes out, barely able to speak through his laughter. My cheeks heat up and I glare indignantly back at him, annoyed by his 'joke'.

"Damn it Cartman! Don't say shit like that!"

"Why? Do you want it to be true?"

"Oh, fuck off…" I reply, turning away from him, setting down the warm mug and crossing my arms.

"Come on, lighten up! I'm just fucking with you."

"You always fuck with me, jackass."

"What can I say; you're fun to mess with."

I roll my eyes, but I can't say I would be happy if he did just stop messing around with me. I mean, sure I'd love if he stopped with all the anti-Semitic shit but without his constant presence my life would be…totally boring. He just has this way of lighting me up. Nobody can make me feel as…passionate as he can. I don't think my life could ever be the same without him in it.

"Come on, watch the movie, let loose. You finally get two seconds to relax and focus on something other than all that studying you've been doing."

I turn back to him, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm studying because I want to get into a good college, what about you? Do you even plan on going to college? You never seem to pay attention in class."

"What, you been studying me in class too?" Cartman replies smugly.

My cheeks heat up instantly. Damn it, why is he saying shit like that? He almost sounds…flirty.

"It's just kind of hard to not notice when you don't even bother to pretend to care what the teacher says."

"Eh, I'll be getting way better pay than those idiot teachers when I'm their age. Why should I give a shit what they say?"

"Because they're trying to teach you!" I tell him, frustrated by his nonchalance concerning his future."How do you plan to get paid better than them if you don't even pass high school?"

"I'll pass. No need to get your panties in a bunch." He told me, leaning against the back of the couch.

"Not if you don't even bother to study. I know you're capable, you just need to apply yourself."

"Why do you even care?" Cartman asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I-I just don't want you to ruin your future because you fucking lazy!" I responded.

Cartman looked at me with wide eyes, seeming surprised. Suddenly a grin spread over his face and he leaned back over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"You care about me."

"Wha-"

"You want me to have a good fuuuuture!" He sang, wrapping an arm around my shoulders nonchalantly.

My face lit up red and I ducked my face down, glaring at my lap. I felt so annoyed at how much I've been blushing. Seriously, why does he have this power over me?

"Of course I do, we're friends…Why wouldn't I care?"

"Kyle."

I raise my head at his sudden serious tone, looking him in the eye. His arm tightened around my shoulders.

"I…I need to do something. Something I've been wanting to do for a while. I was planning a whole different way to get to it but…I think now would be better."

"Okay? What is it?"

"Just…" Cartman started, turning more fully towards me. "Just close your eyes."

"Close my eyes?" I ask, looking at him suspiciously. "Why? Are you going to prank me or something?"

"No!" Cartman said frustrated, shifting uncomfortably. "I'm not! Just…please."

Wait, he…he never says please! I bite my lip, considering. Logically almost every time I've trusted him on something like this, he's just been tricking me. Considering our past I probably shouldn't listen to him or trust him, but the way he's looking at me. Cartman has this desperate look in his eyes, like he needs me to believe him. I think he's actually serious. I don't know what he needs to get off his chest, what he needs to do, but…I trust him.

Sighing, I close my eyes. My body feels tense and my hearts beating like crazy, though I don't really know why. I feel like something's coming…

My heart jumps into my throat and my eyes snap open when I feel a pair of soft, plush lips press against my own.
