I'm throwing the normal ranking system out the window. In Kumo, there are no normal ranks, so to speak. I am also throwing in something for Naruto – a doujutsu. Not Sharingan or Rinnegan or a made up one, but the Byakugan. And no, I am not talking about a transplant. It will be awakened because of so and so that will be explained later.

Naruto sat at the table in his apartment, eating some rice. Yugito was also there, talking to him as she ate some chicken or something. Naruto didn't care.

"I assume you know of Kumogakure's ranking system?" Yugito asked.

Naruto shook his head.

"Let's see… for ninja in this village, as in all villages, it starts as academy student. Then you go to low genin, then high genin, then low chuunin, then high chuunin. From there, you can branch out based on your specialty." Yugito said. "Understand thus far?"

Naruto nodded.

"Good. Those who are good with psychology, torture, and information gathering go into T&I. For those who are good with people, medical techniques, and defenses, those ones become what we call battle medics. Then, those like you… you know, people good with deadly techniques, fear-inducing techniques, and stealth, we reserve as Anbu. With me so far?" Yugito explained.

Naruto once again nodded his head as he took the last bite of rice.

Yugito allowed a slight smile to show. "Alright. Then we have good all-around ninja, who become low and high jonin respectively. Then we have people who are good at heavy combat, like me, who the Raikage calls Hebīkonbattoyūzā. It means heavy combat user."

"Of course, we have defense teams, barrier teams, research teams, and so on, but that's normal. You understand though?" Yugito asked.

"Yes." Naruto replied. Yugito smiled.

"Good. The Raikage wants a blood-test done for you, you know, see your parentage and any potential bloodlines you may have."

Naruto frowned under his mask. "Will they hurt me?" He asked, uncertainty lacing his voice.

"Nah. They just draw a little blood from you, and you are done. After that, the Raikage wants to speak with you."

(LINE)

Naruto and Yugito stood in the Raikage's office, watching as the man did paperwork at his desk. He sighed and looked up.

"Good, you two are here. Naruto, I'm placing you in Anbu. I trust Yugito has filled you in on our ranking system?" The man asked, his voice booming through the office.

"Yes."

The Raikage nodded. "Good. We also received some… strange… results from your blood-test."

Yugito gave the Raikage a weird look. "What do you mean strange? Is he an alien or something?"

"He's a half-blooded Uzumaki and a quarter-blooded Namikaze. The final quarter is Hyuga. I suspect I know who his parents are." The Raikage scowled.

Naruto shrank from his gaze.

"He is the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. Albeit, he looks almost nothing like them. Naruto, take your hood and mask off." The Raikage demanded.

Naruto, with a shaking hand, pulled his hood off, exposing his white, spiky hair, and then reached for his mask. His hand stopped right as it touched the edge of the mask, but gripped it and pulled it off, exposing his scar and whisker marks.

Fear gripped Naruto's core.

"Why did you hide that you were part of three clans?" The Raikage demanded.

"I-I didn't know about Namikaze and Hyuga." Naruto's voice shook. The information still shocked him.

The Raikage stood, towering over Naruto and Yugito. His scowl keeping Naruto in place.

A sudden, sharp pain in his eyes brought Naruto to his knees, clutching at his eyes. He felt his chakra flowing to them, frantic and panicked. The pain slowly subsided, and Naruto slowly opened his eyes. His ears were ringing though, and he felt like somebody bashed his head in with a sledgehammer.

"Naruto, are you ok?" He heard a voice ask. Not long after that, he felt an arm wrap around his back and a hand place itself on his left shoulder. Naruto looked up, making Yugito and the Raikage take a step backwards.

'Why are they moving away from me? Did I do something wrong?' Naruto thought. The strange thing was, he could see a full 360 degrees around himself. It made him dizzy. He also saw his chakra pathway and two other chakra pathways. The ringing in his head and ears continued, making it harder for him to hear anything.

His eyes hurt. The pain felt like somebody had set his eyes on fire.

"Gah!" Naruto hissed. He clutched his head, rocking back and forth, waiting for the pain to subside.

He heard voices shouting, coming and going, louder and louder. But he payed no heed to them. He felt foot-steps pounding the ground as they got closer. Was something bad going to happen? Was he going blind? He didn't know.

Unshed tears gathered, blurring his vision. He felt himself be forcefully stretched out on the ground, people shouting to one another, and a needle touch his neck. Naruto squirmed, trying to get away, away from the needle. He didn't know what was in it. However, despite his struggles, the needle pierced his neck.

His vision faded form blurry to black. 'Help me…' He thought as he fell unconscious.

Naruto woke up, sitting up in a split second. Then it hit him. He grew dizzy suddenly. 'Shouldn't have sat up that fast' He thought.

He looked around, his vision back to normal. The room was white, white walls, white floor, white ceiling, and so on. There were windows, but those also had white curtains. Naruto noticed he was wearing a hospital gown.

"Good, you're awake." He heard a kind voice say.

Naruto's head jerked towards the voice. Seeing Yugito smiling at him calmed him down. Her face took a more serious look.

"What happened?" Naruto asked.

Yugito sighed. "You unlocked a pair of Byakugan eyes."

(Far away, same time)

A blond man smiled at a red-haired woman and an orange-haired girl. The man wore a pair of navy-blue pants and navy blue long-sleeve shirt. On his back there was a red swirl. The woman wore a green dress with a white apron, her red hair reaching to her mid-back. The orange-haired girl had three whisker marks on each cheek. She wore a yellow a sleeveless kimono style blouse held closed with a green obi over a short-sleeved mesh shirt with dark blue short shorts.

"Do you think we are ready to go back to Konoha, Kushina?" The man asked. The woman sighed.

"Yes. We do need to finally meet our son once more, after all. Minato, Yukari, let's go." Kushina said. The man and girl nodded, and the trio vanished.

(LINE)

The trio appeared in the Hokage's office. Hiruzen looked up from his papers, his eyes burning with anger.

"You two… You should have been there for your son. I knew you would have come back, but I did not know when. You should have warned me so I could have altered things." Hiruzen said, his voice containing a bark that bit at Minato and Kushina. They did not show their wince, and instead Minato steeled himself and asked the question.

"What happened to Naruto?" he asked.

Hiruzen glared daggers at the man. "Your son killed eight chuunin and four genin! He even defected to Kumogakure! Years of isolation with only the Kyuubi to accompany him turned him insane. He turned into an insomniac for a great time, fearing psychological torture from the Kyuubi. He followed it's every whim in fear of it."

Minato and Kushina glared angrily at Hiruzen.

"Did you tell the citizens that he held the Kyuubi?" Kushina asked, words dripping with killing intent.

"Yes. I had hoped they would see him as a hero, but they despised him and hated him instead."

Kushina's hair split into nine waving "tails." Minato started releasing his own killing intent. Yukari just stepped outside the office.

"I told you to not tell them of the nine-tails!" Minato began with a civil tone but ended with shouting. "You wouldn't be in half this mess if you hadn't told them!"

Hiruzen knew they were partly right. "then you are also in the wrong. You should have taken your son with you."

(Time-skip: two months)

Naruto walked through the forest, carefully, making sure to not make a single sound. You never know if another shinobi is there to kill you or not.

Suddenly, a blond man, a red-haired woman, and an orange-haired girl appeared in front of him.

"Who are you and state your business in the land of fire." The blond man said.

Naruto's eyes widened. It was the fourth Hokage! Alive and well, so it seemed. Naruto deduced that the woman must have been Kushina Uzumaki. Only Uzumaki clan members have red hair, as far as Naruto knew. The orange-haired girl must have been their daughter.

Only… she also had whisker marks… just like Naruto.

Since his hood was up, it pushed his hair forwards a bit, covering his eyes in a shadow. However, that was for naught when Naruto jumped forwards, his hood coming down in the process, with ice blades in reverse grip in both hands.

Minato's eyes widened. 'Ice release? What the hell?' He thought, before blocking both blades with a tri-pronged kunai. Naruto stabbed the blades into the ground and jumped away, hand in a half ram sign.

Thick mist rolled in.

"Who are you?" Kushina's voice called through the mist. "If you do not comply, we will have to take you prisoner."

A voice right net to her ear alarmed her.

"Naruto Kōri no Shi, the last name you'll ever hear."

Kushina jumped up right as a hail of senbon stabbed into the ground where she just was.

"N-Naruto?!" Kushina shouted in surprise.

Chains shot from Kushina's back and swept through the mist, finding their target. The mist cleared and Naruto was revealed struggling in the grasp of the chains.

Minato and Yukari looked questioningly at Kushina.

"What are you doing, Kaa-san?" Yukari asked.

"What was your name again? Your first name?" Kushina asked Naruto, ignoring the other two standing beside her.

Naruto started trembling in the chains, things around him slowly freezing, the air getting colder and colder. Minato appeared beside Naruto, kunai at Naruto's neck.

"My wife asked you a question." Minato said menacingly.

Naruto looked back and forth from the man to the woman. His eyes getting more and more frantic. He was trapped. They would hurt him, he was sure of it. Fear gripped his core, his heart started pounding his chest, and his hands shook.

Minato sighed and pulled the boy's mask off with his other hand. Minato backed away in shock at seeing the whisker marks. Yukari just stood there, along with her mother, jaws agape.

The chains slowly brought Naruto closer to Kushina, who held her arms out. Naruto, not knowing what was going on, continued to panic, and his efforts doubled in his struggles. His Byakugan activated itself for the second time in Naruto's life in fear. However, Kushina ignored that and wrapped Naruto in her arms.

Her chains slowly unwrapped, mostly freeing Naruto. However, Naruto dropped to his feet with a sweeping kick, catching Kushina off guard, making her fall over. Naruto leapt back and threw Senbon at both Kushina and Yukari, distracting Minato.

Minato stopped all the senbon via grabbing them mid-air and flashed right in front of Naruto. "It is good to see you, my son. I had hoped it wouldn't be like this, but I'm afraid it had to." Minato said calmly.

"I am not your son! Hyoton: frost shot!" Naruto threw a spear made of ice at Minato, who back-handed it and sent it flying off course.

"Stop son. We will not harm you." Minato said. Naruto turned and ran as fast as he could, making the ground before him turn to ice while skating on said ice.

"No time for goodbye, he said as he faded away." Naruto whispered to himself. He looked back, and there was Kushina, Minato, and Yukari there keeping up with him. Kushina and Yukari had chains sprouted out of their backs and using those to keep up. Minato simply ran alongside Naruto.

Naruto jumped, turning towards them, and threw frozen senbon at them. Naruto turned and landed once more, and continued skating with added momentum. Minato deflected the senbon with a kunai easily.

"Naruto, please, stop this!" Minato shouted to Naruto, who kept running way. Naruto sped through hand-signs, gathering up his yang chakra and ice chakra.

"Frozen Overdrive." Naruto whispered. The air around him got colder than before. His arms and legs grew a little longer, his fingers becoming thing and long, nails longer and sharper. Light blue and black lines streaked from head to toe. His eyes turned all black except for an ice-blue circle in the middle.

Energy flooded his system. He felt stronger and faster, nimbler. His white hair grew a little longer, now reaching his shoulders. The tips at the end turned from ice-blue to black. He needed to get away from these people. The new dark energy allowed him to bypass his previous limits, so he ran faster than ever before.

They would kill him, surely, if they caught him. He soon was able to lose Kushina and Yukari, but not Minato. Minato still ran alongside him as if it was no problem, without breaking a sweat even.

Quickly thinking, Naruto came up with a comment he knew would make the man freeze. "I hate you!" Naruto shouted at the man. Sure enough, the man's eyes widened, and he slowed down, enough for Naruto to get away.

He felt the man's presence again. Minato must have used that stupid seal!

Naruto threw his cloak off and tried to run faster. He knew the price of running so fast would catch up to him, but it would be better than being captured.

"Why do you hate me? I know I wasn't there for you and all, but why?" Minato asked as he ran next to Naruto. Naruto noticed the man actually started to sweat a bit from the running.

Naruto didn't bother to answer. That was just a stupid question. Naruto vanished in a shunshin. Minato slowed down, skidding to a stop, looking off in the distance. A tear rolled down his face. "I screwed up really bad, didn't I?" He asked himself.

(LINE)

Naruto appeared in his apartment in Kumogakure. His jutsu canceled, and he returned to normal, except for his hair. Then the price of running so fast hit him like a speeding train. His everything ached. His gut felt like it was twisting in on itself. He hurt emotionally and mentally. The new revelation just plain hurt. His entire childhood was a lie. He was told he was an orphan, that his parents died, that he would never have parents.

But here it was… his parents, and apparently, a sister he never knew about. A deep hatred manifested itself in him. However, before he could continue to think about it, the wrenching pain came back, over and over.

Walking into his kitchen unsteadily, Naruto found a small bottle on the counter. Some sort of pain-reliver. He didn't remember the name. Taking a pill out of it, he put it in his mouth and swallowed. Making his way to his room, Naruto kept a hand on the wall and another on his gut, hunched over because of the pain.

Before he could make it to his room, Naruto tripped and fell onto his side. He noted that a bit of blood had been flowing from his mouth. Not much, but some, nonetheless. Then he blacked out.

(Time-skip: one day)

Naruto woke with a silent groan. Everything still hurt, but not as bad. He looked around, vaguely noting that he wasn't on the floor anymore. He was on his bed. 'How did I get here?' Naruto thought. He saw a woman, blond, sitting next to him on the floor, with her head leaned up against the bed. Turning so his back faced the back of her head, Naruto delved into his mind.

Thinking back on what happened, Naruto felt… surprisingly neutral. But the more he thought, the angrier he became. They had left him, so they could spend their full attention on his 'sister.' That meant they didn't even care, did they?

Hatred manifested itself in his core. They left him to rot! To be tortured by the Konohagakure villagers and the nine-tailed beast his entire childhood! There was only one way to fix this. Revenge. He would kill them, slowly, painfully. They would cry for mercy, but he would not heed their cries. After all, he'd just be showing them a fraction of what he had to endure. They would probably break, just like he did, under the stress.

He'd take it to the edge, make them wish for death, he told himself. Then he'd let them heal, only to start it all over again! Every day, until they break, he vowed. After all, that's what the Kyuubi did to him. It's only fair to return the favor! He'd show them the hell they put him in.

When they were finally broken, Naruto would end them, put them out of his misery. Then he'd burn Konoha to the ground. All of them, save two people. A man named Teuchi and his daughter, Ayame. He'd let them live, but only because they never glared at him. Other than that, he didn't give a rat's ass about them.

However, Naruto needed to become stronger. The Frozen Overdrive was enough to double his abilities, but even then, he knew he couldn't kill the fourth Hokage in battle. Nor would he be able to kill the two other Uzumaki.

He needed something they wouldn't expect. Naruto made mental notes on the two adults' abilities. His sister most likely took after her mother.

Then it hit him. He'd have to infiltrate that village, take it down from the inside-out. Earn their trust, and then stab them in the back when they thought they had an ally.

He heard shifting and stirring beside him.

"Naruto, I know you're awake." The woman said. It was Yugito. Naruto pushed himself up, so he sat with his back against the head of the bed. He looked wearily at the woman. The looked genuinely worried. A faint dusting of pink covered his cheeks. The woman grew more alarmed.

"Are you running a temperature?" She asked worried. Naruto shook his head, but Yugito ignored him, putting the back of her hand against his fore-head.

"Hm... a little colder than normal, but it's warming up, I think. What happened?" She asked.

So, Naruto told her what happened. Yugito listened with rapt attention, asking him questions here and there, but provided support for Naruto at the same time.

Naruto felt something strange. His eyes felt stingy and wet. Then he felt liquid run down one of his cheeks. 'Crying? Why? Is this just me or is it my body doing this? I don't understand.' Naruto thought. Yugito wiped his tear with her thumb and pulled him into a hug.

Naruto felt another sensation appear, in his chest. He felt weighed down. Then he felt something else. He knew it was for the woman hugging him, but he didn't know what it was. That scared him a little. He feared the unknown.

"Let it out Naruto, let it all out." Yugito said calmly, rocking back and forth. Naruto didn't know why, but his eyes felt even more stingy and wet, and liquid raced down his cheeks even more. His chest hurt, and he didn't know why. The problem was, the more the liquid raced down his cheeks, the more his chest hurt.

'I'm weak…' Naruto thought. Weak to be crying. Weak to be showing his pain to somebody else. Weak that he couldn't fix it on his own. Weakness was intolerable, Naruto believed. Weakness had to be hidden and destroyed, turned into strength, improved.

Yugito kept speaking calmly, gently rubbing his back as she rocked back and forth.

So, Naruto finally let go. He let go of the sadness, his fear, his depression. He let it all out. But he held onto his hatred. He needed to nurture that. Let it grow, and then unleash it upon the fourth Hokage and his family.

After a while, Naruto couldn't tell how long, the tears stopped rolling down his cheeks. Yugito still held him in a hug, supporting him, still helping him. That pink tint returned to his cheeks.

He thought about everybody he had ever met. Yugito was the only one who had ever comforted him, helped him, supported him, and nice to him. Whereas everybody else was either neutral or hated him. He felt his rage calm when he thought of Yugito. Every time he thought of her, the same pink dusting would return to his cheeks. He felt happier.

That was new. Naruto thought he could never be happy, that his life was geared in such a way that he'd never have a happy ending. Before, it always led to an isolated and miserable end, one that promised as much pain as possible, one that would drag him down in the end. But ever since he met Yugito, a new road appeared. It was happy. It did promise some pain, but not as bad. Not as unbearable. It was better.

Right then, Naruto knew. After he got revenge, he would spend his days with Yugito. He felt happy, knowing that he now had a new mission in life.

(A/N Section)

Hello. Yes, I bet you didn't see that coming. The whole, Naruto's parents are alive thing. I tried to further the relationship with Naruto and Yugito. I hope that I don't blow it, but knowing myself, I'll probably blow it. But I'll have fun on the way, so… yeah. Still, if anybody is good with that sort of stuff, please let me know… I am not that good at it. Anyways, if you have any questions, please ask. I always look at the new reviews and private messages, so don't worry about not being noticed. I'll answer with a private message to let you know.

Tell me what you thought of this, and… yeah. I'll stop talking now. You have better things to do, I have better things to do, so bye!
