You guys are awesome! Thanks so much for all the reviews!
Disclaimer: I only own Hannah.
The first thing I noticed about my surroundings when I came to was that I was in some sort of cell, and I wasn't sure if I was on Asgard or not.
I groaned and grabbed my head as I sat up. Whoever hit me in the head hit me really hard.
I stood up carefully and looked where I was being held. I was in a dark room, but besides that I couldn't find anything truly significant about it. I just wanted to know if I was still on Asgard.
"You're still on Asgard, just so you know."
My eyes scanned the entire room quickly, trying to locate the unfamiliar voice. I saw a man standing there in armor that was black and red. The armor looked brand-new, suggesting that he had just recently had it made. The man had a beard, and looked like he was about in his early forties in earth years.
"Who are you?" I asked cautiously.
"Someone who will stop at nothing to get what he wants," he answered.
I raised an eyebrow. "And that would be...?"
"Asgard's downfall," he replied. "Can you imagine? The Realm Eternal, the protectors of the universe, reduced to nothing."
I scoffed. "And how do you expect to do that?"
"By taking you," he answered. "You're Asgard's only hope of survival. I'd never thought I'd see the day that Asgard's fate rested on a lowly mortal."
My eyes narrowed at him. "What are you planning on doing with me?"
"You?" he replied. "You're nothing more than a bargaining chip. Because you see, if I don't have Asgard by nightfall, I will kill you."
I kept a cool composer, but on the inside I was screaming. "So, either way, Asgard's doomed."
He gave me an amused smirk. "Not necessarily."
I raised an eyebrow. "Meaning?"
"You asked who I was, but the better question would be who I work for." He replied mysteriously, as if I would know who his boss was.
"And who would that be?" I asked sarcastically.
"The person who wants Loki's head on a platter," he answered nonchalantly.
Then everything clicked. "Thanos," I whispered in horror.
He snapped his fingers and pointed at me, "Bingo."
"So let me get this straight," I said. "You are going to bargain with Odin, either me or Asgard. And if you take possession of Asgard, you're going to deliever Loki to Thanos so he can do whatever he likes with him."
"You're smarter than you look," he said.
I started to remember how Loki was tortured by Thanos and The Other, and how he was pretty much brain washed into doing their bidding. I had no doubt that is exactly what happened to this man.
"Have you ever considered that Thanos is just using you to get to Loki? That he'll kill you when it's all said and done?" I inquired. "That you'll end up just like Loki?"
"That fool failed," he spat. "He couldn't do what was required of him."
"And you think you can?" I asked. "Loki was beaten by five humans with abilities unlike any other, and his brother, a god. Do you really think it would be that hard for a bunch of Asgardians to take down one man?"
"Do not doubt me mortal," he said threateningly.
But I just smiled at him. "You know, you really don't scare me."
"Then you are a fool," he said, and then he disappeared.
Third Person POV
Thor burst into the throne room. "Father, Lady Hannah is missing."
Odin turned to one of the guards. "Find the queen and bring Loki to me."
Thor waited until the guards were gone before questioning his father. "Father, why are you bringing Loki?"
Odin turned his head to Thor. "I'm giving Loki a chance to redeem himself, and, if the gods favor me, fulfill prophecy."
Thor, knowing what his father was speaking of, nodded and asked, "Does Loki know of the prophecy?"
Odin shook his head. "No, we did not tell him. If we told him, we would have run from it." Thor only nodded once.
The doors opened and Frigga stepped into the room. "We're not telling either of them, are we?"
Odin shook his head. "No, they don't like each other already. It can't be forced."
Frigga nodded her head as Loki was escorted into the room. With a nod from Odin, the shackles on his hands and feet were removed.
"You rang?" Loki inquired.
"Lady Hannah is missing," Thor stated.
"Why does this concern me?" Loki asked, as if surprised that his brother would care to think that he cared about the girl.
"She's your way to redemption," Odin said. Loki turned his head to him. "You find her, you will be free to roam Asgard, all charges will be dropped."
Loki raised his eyebrows and looked at the members of his adoptive family. They were all looking at him, waiting for his answer.
Before he could speak, a man appeared in the middle of the room. Thor narrowed his eyes when he saw him.
"Baldr," Thor said lowly.
Baldr smirked at him. "Hello, brother." He turned to Loki. "Thanos is dying to have your head." Loki glared at him.
He looked at Odin and Frigga. "Mother, Father. It really has been an age."
"What do you want?" Odin asked.
"What I've alway wanted," Baldr replied. "Asgard. I was the youngest, didn't have a chance to rule. But taking it, that was smart."
Loki rolled his eyes, but said nothing. Baldr noticed.
"Do not judge me, brother. Was it not three years ago that you were trying to take Asgard for yourself? You are just as bad as I."
Loki chuckled. "But you see, brother," he spat the last word, "I had a plan about how to go about it. You just walked in here and declared yourself king."
"Nevermind that," Odin said sharply. "Where is the Midgardian?"
"Oh, you mean that pathetic little mortal that I have trapped somewhere in the castle?" Baldr asked, as if curious.
Loki was surprised when his fists clenched when Baldr called Hannah pathetic. Why did he care?
"Where is she?" Thor asked.
"Here is my deal," Baldr started. "Either you give me Asgard, I deliver Loki to Thanos, and I let the mortal live, or you don't give me Asgard and I kill her."
"Either way Asgard's doomed," Loki said.
"That's exactly what your little mortal said," Baldr replied. "But, I decided to be generous. Either you find her by sundown, or I will kill her, take Asgard, and let Thanos do whatever he wants with him." Baldr looked at all of their faces. "Do we have a deal?"
They all nodded, and Baldr disappeared. Frigga turned to Loki. "Come, I know a spell that will help us find her."
Loki nodded and followed his mother. He wouldn't admit aloud, but it angered him to her Baldr threatening Hannah. She was just a mortal, after all. How special could she possibly be?
What could the prophecy be? Well, I know, but you don't! hahaha. JK. Hope you guys enjoyed! Please, please review!
