I was supposed to work on finishing my unlikely chapter, or at least make more progress- but writing this story is so much more theraputic and with all the stress in my life right now I think I needed it. So here you go!
"And what answer did you get?"
"f(x)= 3lnx^5?"
"I think my work here is done." Kyoya sat back in his chair with a satisfied smirk. My calculus exam was next period, and if I got a B or higher then I would pass the class. I could pass the class and stay at Ouran. I could stay with Tamaki. And Kyoya. And all of my other new friends.
"What if they give me the test and I don't know anything?" Like what happened for all the other tests.
"Impossible. I tutored you and I say your ready, so you're ready." He offered me an upturned lip that wasn't a smirk or a smile. His eyes were black. They weren't like my father's. I felt myself fidget in my seat. I was nervous. I wanted to make Tamaki happy. "Come, lets get you situated in your class so you are comfortable." He stood and I followed.
When I received the test, my teacher was surprised that I had my pencil out. I heard the girl next to me snicker. I thought of birds and violet eyes. I thought of black eyes and how they understood me. I thought of bunnies and strawberries. I thought of redheads and beaches. I wanted to stay. I wanted to live. I would prove the girl and my teacher wrong. Kyoya was right, I was ready.
I waited with my classmates for the first time for the test results the next morning. I told Kyoya I thought I did well. Tamaki was happy. He let me use his teddy bear pencil in chemistry.
"What's she doing here?"
"She never does well."
"Well? She never passes."
"Does she think sleeping through her exam will give her a better grade?" They snickered. I felt like I was curling in on myself. I didn't like the way they looked at me. Like I was dirty. I clenched my hands. I felt angry again. I felt angry and lonely. I wanted Tamaki to be there.
"Kaharu-san?" I jumped a little as someone put their hand on my shoulder. I turned to see a girl that sat with Tamaki during the host club. I didn't know her name. would she laugh like the others? "Don't worry about them. Tamaki has been telling us how hard you studied, I'm sure you did great." She smiled. I smiled back.
"Thanks." The thought of Tamaki talking about me made me blush. The crowd started to move towards the screen that the grades were posted on. It flashed on and people began pushing and standing on their toes.
I was nervous. Tamaki said he would be here. I felt another hand tap my shoulder. This time I didn't jump. It was Kyoya. I felt relieved.
"Tamaki will be here soon, do you want to wait?" He asked me. I shook my head. We stood there. I was getting nervous again. I drummed my fingers on my sides. "I'll see if I can see above anyone." He stepped forward.
I waited. Where was Tamaki?
"Kaharu-san." Kyoya got my attention. I looked up at him. I couldn't tell if it was a smirk or a smile. "B+"
I felt myself smile. I laughed. I felt light. Like a bubble. Like a bird. I don't know where the impulse came from. I hugged Kyoya. For a moment he stood there, then he patted my shoulder a few times.
"Should we not interrupt?" It was Hikaru and Kaoru. Kyoya cleared his throat and dropped his arm.
"I got a B+!" I all but squealed. I felt proud. I wanted everyone to see how well I had done. I did it all for Tamaki.
"That's great!" Kaoru exclaimed.
"We knew you could do it." Hikaru said as they gave me a combined quick hug. They kept their arms connects and started going in circles around me.
"Haru-chan! Haru-chan!" I laughed more as Honey jumped up and grabbed my neck. Mori smiled. I smiled too. I was happy.
"KAHARU-HIME!" I heard Tamaki call from down the hall. The twins stopped their merry circling and Honey let go of my neck. Tamaki ran up right to my face, his was red as he tried to catch his breath. "Well, how did you do?"
"Not so great tono." Hikaru started.
"Looks like she'll have to drop out." Kauro finished. I saw a glint in their eye that I knew was their mischievous side.
"N-no. But you studied so hard." Tamaki muttered, his face had fallen. Is violet eyes appeared sad. "The test must have been unfair- I'm going to go talk with my father immediately, this is unexceptable." His emotions quickly changed from sad to angry. He began to stomp off but I grabbed his arm.
"B+" He looked at me and a moment of realization crossed his face.
"B…+…Kaharu I knew you could do it!" He hugged me and lifted me off the ground. I was so very happy. I laughed again.
A boy came running up to us. I knew him. He was in the ballet program. "Kaharu-san."
"Yes?" I asked hesitantly. All the host boys were watching.
"The lead just broke her ankle, you're Sleeping Beauty." I felt my eyes widen and my face grow cold and clammy. I looked up to Tamaki.
"Looks like you're an official princess now." He winked. I grabbed his hand. He squeezed mine back.
We are starting to come to a close, and an important decision needs to be made...dare I say it...sequel?
After I finish it you may change your mind to the above question ;)
I love my readers and I especially love it when they review! It honestly brightens my day- but I will always love my readers either way. See you all next time.
