"Wake up!"

Grey eyes snapped open at the command to see a panicked expression on Hermione's face. Kirsten looked at her friend rather confused as the bushy haired witch shoved her off the bed anxiously.

"Was that necessary?" Kirsten asked.

"Yes!" another voice exclaimed. Kirsten turned her head to see the outline of Mr. Weasley hovering over Ginny. It didn't take long for youngest Weasley to get up and she seemed just as confused as Kirsten. The grey eyed witch turned to see her bag being rummaged by Hermione.

"Put it on," Hermione said, throwing Kirsten her sweater. The black haired witch caught the sweater and pulled it over her head to find that Mr. Weasley already left the tent.

Something was seriously wrong.

"What the hell is going on?" Kirsten questioned.

Her question was answered when Hermione dragged her and Ginny out of the tent. No longer was the air filled with the Irish singing merrily at their win but with screams of horror. Four struggling figures were floating high in the air and Kirsten was able to recognize one of them. One of the pairs of arms flailing about in terror belonged to the Muggle man that had his memory modified. Kirsten's eyes landed on a smaller figure in the air, one that resembled a small child, spinning like a top while the other two were women struggling to pull their nightdresses up from their upside down positions.

"Oh my God," Kirsten muttered in shock.

Laughter reached Kirsten's ears and her eyes landed on a crowd of masked wizards underneath the group of levitated Muggles. They were jeering and cheering.

It didn't take more than a second for Kirsten to realize what was happening. She briefly thought of Malfoy and the majority of the Slytherins. How they were torment the Muggleborns.

These were the adult versions of them.

"We're going to help the Ministry!" Mr. Weasley shouted over the noise. She saw that Percy, Charlie, and Bill had their wands out. "You lot — get into the woods, and stick together. I'll come and fetch you when we've sorted this out!"

Mr. Weasley and his three sons sprinted toward the crowd of wizards. Her eyes caught other wizards running toward the large group of jeering wizards.

It was then that Kirsten felt somewhat odd. She felt her head was pounding slightly and she felt nauseous.

"You have a hangover," she heard Hermione tell her quietly. Kirsten briefly remembered that she had drank a bottle before the match and regretted it slightly. If she knew this would happen afterward, then she would not have drank a sip.

"Do you happen to have a hangover remedy?"

"No," Hermione said, narrowing her eyes at her in the same way Mrs. Weasley would do toward Fred and George. "And you shouldn't have been drinking anyway."

"C'mon," Fred said, grabbing Ginny's hand and began to pull her towards the woods. Kirsten followed the group toward the woods and before entering she could not help but look back. She saw Ministry wizards already surrounding the large group of tormentors, however, none of them were casting spells.

Probably so the Muggles will not fall.

Kirsten turned back around to enter the woods only to find herself in the middle of a chaotic crowd, others gone. With the colored lanterns that lit the path to the stadium extinguished, Kirsten could no longer see them. The dark figures of witches and wizards pushed her back and forth as she tried weaving her way to try and find her friends.

The grey eyed witch had to take several deep breaths to hold back the vomit that so desperately wanted to come out. It was then that Kirsten's ears were momentarily deafened by a loud blast. The sound was louder than anything she heard so far in the night and it did not help as screams erupted from the terrified witches and wizards around her. She needed to get away from the terrified crowd as her hangover got worse and continued to go through the crowd. It took several minutes for Kirsten to finally get away from the large crowd of witches and wizards.

No longer able to hold her vomit down, Kirsten bent over and let the vomit come out. She felt slightly better as she wiped her mouth with the sleeve of her sweater.

"Never again," she muttered to herself. The headache was nowhere the pain she held when heartbeats pounded in her head, but she did not like the sensation of throwing up.

"Looking for Potter, Weasley, and Granger?"

Oh great.

Kirsten rolled her eyes at the voice and looked over to see Malfoy leaning against a tree.

"No, I'd rather be around you and your awe-inspiring presence," she said, voice dripping with sarcasm.

The Slytherin moved closer to where she could see his face and saw a disturbing grin causing Kirsten to frown. She remembered the large group of jeering wizards and realized that his parents could be apart of the group.

"Tsk, tsk, Black," he drawled, still grinning at her, "I know which direction they went."

"And you're actually going to help me find them?" the lone Gryffindor retorted, raising an eyebrow and pushing herself off of the tree. A sudden light caused Kirsten to blink back in surprise and after adjusting to the light, Kirsten saw the tip of Malfoy's wand engulfed by a white light right in her face. Her hand instinctively flew down to grab her wand to find it empty.

"Granger has it," Malfoy said in an amused tone.

Kirsten usually did not get as easily irritated with Malfoy, but tonight was different.

Maybe it was the fact that she still felt nauseous.

Maybe it was he fact that she could not find her friends.

Or maybe it was the fact that she did not even have her wand handy and he was smug about it.

She just wanted to punch him in the face.

Kirsten saw his eyes take in her appearance and she could only imagine what she looked like with her curly hair a mess from sleeping and bags from lack of sleep. His nose crinkled in disgust and she could only guess it was because of the stench of vomit on her.

She never thought it possible but the smug smile on his face widened.

"And you smell awful," he added smugly. "Christmas has come early."

Kirsten rolled her eyes and ignored his statement. She didn't even care to respond as a thought hit her.

She was an idiot.

Closing her eyes, the black haired witch breathed in deeply and tried to clear her mind.

Thump, thump. Thump, thump.

Kirsten grinned slightly as she heard Malfoy's heartbeat next to her and was grateful that the potion lasted for twenty-four hours.

She pushed her mind to hear the heartbeats around her but no luck. She could not the familiar beating hearts of the Weasleys, Hermione, or Harry.

She needed to push further.

To find them.

Kirsten frowned as she could not go past a certain point.

This must have been what he meant by limited power when taking the potion.

The fourteen year old witch decided she might as well move further into the woods. She would be able to catch their heartbeats when getting closer to them.

"Where are you going?"

The grey eyed witch ignored Malfoy's question as she began to walk further into the woods.

Kirsten was getting close to bashing Malfoy's face against a tree. The arrogant ass had just explained to her why he was tagging along and it was to see if Hermione got caught by the throng of jeering wizards.

"If you don't leave —"

But the witch didn't finish her sentence as a peculiar heartbeat caught her attention. It was a heartbeat that she heard earlier in the top box. The one that belonged to the empty seat in the top box. The heartbeat that belonged to the house-elf was close to it as well.

The heartbeats were so close.

And Kirsten was curious.

"Black —"

"Shh!" she interrupted, placing her hand on top of his mouth. Her eyes snapped in the direction of the two beating hearts. She could hear Winky's heart beating rapidly, faster than Kirsten had heard when she was in the top box. With the help of Malfoy's lit wand, Kirsten was able to make out the figure of a man meters away. His back was facing her and she could see the small figure of Winky struggling to pull the man away. A voice called out in the distance but Kirsten ignored it as she watched the scene before her.

"You're vomit is in my —"

"MORSMORDRE!"

The man turned around and Kirsten finally got a glimpse of the man whose heartbeat she heard in the top box, however, screams and yells filled her ears as they rang through the forest. Her eyes tore away from the man and the house-elf to look up at the sky and her mouth dropped open slightly.

Hanging in the air was a vast, glittering green skull of a constellation; a serpent slithering its way out from the mouth. Kirsten glanced at the Slytherin next to her to see his jaw slacken and his face filled with panic as he quickly extinguished the light emanating from his wand.

"Avada K —"

But Kirsten did not hear the rest as a body collided with her own and pushed her down to the floor. Her body rolled on the mossy ground and away from whoever pushed her out of the way from the hurtling green light.

Unfortunately for Kirsten Black, the man who hurled the green light at her and Malfoy was standing directly in front of her. It was then that she noticed that Winky was standing next him, a beautiful silver cloak in her hands.

A cloak that she was all too familiar with.

"Master Barty! You mustn't d —"

"Crucio!"
