Here lies the disclaimer that states I do not own Megamind nor any of it's amazing characters

"Almost," Minion muttered to himself, tongue sticking out of one side of his toothy mouth while he flipped a few switches on the sewing machine and powered the needle down one last seam. A few snips and spikes later and, "There we go!" He tugged at the new pair of gloves a bit, testing his handiwork, before laying them down across his workbench with a smile. "That should tide him over for a few months. I should order some more fabric just in case, though. H-3-L-P-R?"

A small Brainbot, completely smooth and lacking any distinctive spikes about his dome, floated up from his resting place on the floor with a curious 'bowg?' "Remind me to order more fabric for Sir's clothes next Monday." It stilled mid-flight for a few seconds, the soft whisper of whirring mechanisms the only sound before it suddenly bobbed and bowged in confirmation.

"Excellent. We're all done in here for now, so you can go play with the other bots if you'd li—" He didn't even get to finish the sentence before the little cyborg streaked through the open doorway, and Minion shook himself with an amused chuckle before glancing back towards the clock. "Already eight in the morning? I wonder what Sir is up to…"

Clicking off the lights to his room, the mechanical ape shuffled its way through the corridors of the lair as he searched for his boss. He didn't bother poking his head into the small alcove the blue alien had claimed as his room, since the man had never consciously made an effort to sleep —"I don't need it, Minion. Eeeeevil never rests!"— so he just continued past into the main floor of the warehouse as quietly as his metal feet would allow.

He was surprised to see the back of Megamind's favorite chair as he padded into the open room. The villain rarely moved it from its usual place at his drafting table (well, apart from whenever they kidnapped Miss Ritchi, of course) so to see it sitting in the middle of the room, in front of where they kept their full length mirror, was more than a bit odd.

"Sir?" He called softly, listening intently to the quiet hum of their home for any sign that something might be amiss.

No reply.

'Is he even in it?'

"Sir?" He tried again, a bit louder.

This time the chair squeaked as its occupant shifted, and he heard his boss's familiar grumbling sigh.

'Ah, so he did fall asleep.' With a huff of amusement Minion started forward. "Sir, you should know better than to sleep in your chair. You'll wake up stiff and you know how impossible you get when—" His lecture was cut short by a sharp gasp when he rounded the edge of the leather furniture.

The mechanical arms of his suit flailed helplessly as his mind raced, trying to process what he was seeing.

There, curled firmly against the soft back of the seat, was the familiar form of none other than Roxane Ritchi. Her legs were pulled up off the ground so she could wrap her arms around them, one cheek resting heavily atop one shoulder. Tucked snugly between her legs and chest was the newly rebuilt 518, the electricity that danced behind his dome casting a soft blue light against her face.

"Miss Ritchi?!" He squeaked in surprise as he backpedaled, noisily bumping into a stray tray of tools. Panic began to set in when he noticed the noise roused the intruder, and he quickly began to twist this way and that as he searched for a way to bind her.

'Rope. Bag. Knock out spray. Forget me stick. Anything, please?!'

He was beginning to think his only choice would be to just manhandle the poor women into the invisible car when he suddenly heard Megamind's voice call his name from nearby, 'Oh, Boss is NOT going to be happy when he finds her here! I have to do something!'

He snapped his body toward where the voice came from, the apology that was on his lips falling silent when he found himself looking into the groggy green eyes of Roxanne as she blinked sleepily at him, brows furrowed together in confusion. 'Wait… Green?'

"Sir?" He ventured.

"Nnng. What do you want, Minion?"

Oh. That was definitely Megamind's voice. Hearing it come out of their frequent victim's mouth, though, was rather disturbing, and the aquatic alien could only stare, mute, as the seconds ticked by.

A feminine hand was raised to rub at his eyes. "Couldn't you see I was sleeping?"

"No, Sir. I mean, yes, you were, but, at the same time, you weren't, and I didn't realize. I shouldn't have panicked like that, would have probably noticed—"

"Minion!"

"—Sorry! It's just that, your Holo-watch, Sir…"

"My watch?" The hand that was rubbing at his face pulled back and he stared at it with narrowed eyes before recognition dawned and he slid out of the chair to spread his arms open exuberantly, "Minion! Look! Miss Ritchi must have accidentally scanned herself into my watch!"

"I can see that, Sir. She must have triggered the scan when she replied…"

He watched as his Boss pranced about, sleep all but forgotten. "I was going to go get breakfast this morning, and imagine my surprise when I turned the dial and found this in the first slot instead of that frumpy old mechanic. Oh, Minion, isn't it wonderful?"

"Wonderful, Sir?"

"Yes! Just think of all the information I could gather using Miss Ritchi's image. She has access to so much! I could just walt-zed right up to Metro Mahn and discover all of his weaknesses!"

"Yes, but, Sir, she's also famous in this town. You'd be recognized by everyone and probably approached… Everyone who knows her knows that her eyes aren't green…"

The though must have never crossed the blue man's mind, because his boisterous movements stilled and he assumed his typical thinking pose.

"The scan is also very rumpled looking, Sir," he continued, noting the clingy clothes and tousled hair. "It was scanned before she straightened herself up, so it still looks like she just went through a harrowing experience."

They both turn to stare into the mirror and he sighs when he notices just what Minion is hinting at. "You're right, not very professional looking at all. She'd never go out in public like this." Accepting the momentary defeat—because he would find a way to use this to his advantage—Megamind reached towards the face of his watch and his temporary form flickered back to the familiar villainous countenance everyone feared.

"Well then, I'm going to get us breakfast. Minion, brainstorm some solutions while I'm gone." He was just disappearing down the hall to the secret entrance when he called back across the open space, "Oh, and put my chair back at my desk!"

"Will do, Sir!" He replies loudly, and in a much quieter voice, "though I really don't think you should use Miss Ritchi's image at all…" Turning back to the tasks at hand, he reaches over and grabs the chair, pausing briefly as he starts to roll it back towards its rightful place.

'Just why was Sir sitting in front of the mirror as Roxanne, anyway?'
