Channeling my inner weeaboo by writing this while watching kuroshitsuji ii. It's been forever since I watched and this show is so cringe worthy omg but I love it. Still think Sebastian is hot af, I can't deal.
Angeline had woken to see no butler in her room, which meant he was not watching over her as much as she had grown accustomed to and she could not decided if she was disappointed or not.
After getting dressed, Angeline went into the kitchen to find Bard trying desperately to fix his burnt breakfast. She made a face upon smelling burnt meat and exited the kitchen, opting not for the kitchen or breakfast with Ciel, which meant she wouldn't be eating this morning.
Angeline paced the house, not wanting to go to the library after what happened two days ago. After several hours of simply walking, she gave in and made her way to the library. She was happy she had not bothered to put on shoes or her feet would hurt with how many times she'd paced the huge manor. She decided upon arrival to grab a few books and hole up in her room with them.
With a pile of about five books in hand, Angeline made her way back through the library. She glanced toward the window and lost hold of her books, causing them to fall to the floor as she watched Sebastian disappear from sight just a moment after she saw him staring through the window. Angrily, she stalked toward the window and threw it open, looking to her left to see Sebastian perched on the ledge beside the window, looking at her expectantly. He knew she'd look for him and could have disappeared in an instant, she knew, so why did he stay in her sight?
"Don't scare me like that!" She exclaimed exasperatedly, rubbing her temples. "I understand you need to watch over me, just keep your distance and don't act like a pervert!"
Angeline shut the window roughly and leaned against the wall, gathering her thoughts. She should be scared of him, so why did she feel safer when he was around?
Giving up on reading, Angeline went back to her room and contemplated on how to spend her day. She was given quite a lot of freedom in the Phantomhive manor so long as she stayed within its walls, but there was nothing to do by herself considering it was such a huge house. Eventually she decided she was going to go out whether Ciel liked it or not.
Quietly, Angeline made her way through the house and came upon the back door. She was just about to exit when a familiar voice sounded behind her. "What do you think you're doing?"
Angeline turned around to face Sebastian. "House arrest isn't fun, but I doubt you'd know anything about that. I'm tired of being confined."
Sebastian stared at her with a neutral expression. "I'm sure if you allowed me to accompany you, the Earl wouldn't mind a walk through the gardens."
Angeline averted her eyes, tapping her toes. Sebastian was dangerous, she knew, but she wanted so badly to go outside. "Fine," She finally agreed.
Angeline walked among the flowers slowly, feeling the sunlight touch her skin after so long in that stuffy manor. She tried her hardest to ignore Sebastian, who was walking a few feet behind her, but she could feel his gaze burning the back of her scull. She was about to turn around and request he stop, but a distant howling distracted her. She concentrated on the gardens before her and her eyes widened upon seeing a lumbering beast making his way down the aisles between flowers.
Dear God, is that a dog? she thought seconds before it descended on her. She let out a startled scream as she was tackled to the ground. She felt a long, slobbery lick go up her cheek and opened her eyes, starting as she saw a very naked man on top of her. "What the hell?" She exclaimed, beginning to fight the strange man off. She felt startled and quite frankly violated.
Within seconds Angeline was free and she gasped up at Sebastian, who had the man by the scruff. "Apologies, Angeline. Only our mangy mutt, Pluto."
Angeline coughed a few times before standing and trying to brush the dirt off her dress to no avail. She turned to Sebastian with an eyebrow raised. "You have a giant dog who turns into a person? Are there any other inhuman servants or pets around here I should know about?"
Angeline looked behind her to see Bard, Finny, and Mey-Rin standing in the garden and observing the scene. Upon noticing Angeline see them, they all busied and whistled. Angeline scoffed and turned back to Sebastian, who had lifted a fallen oak tree and thrown it at least a mile away, causing Pluto to transform and go after it.
Angeline rubbed her temples and made her way back through the gardens to go inside, deciding that right now a nap would do her nicely, and her heart stopped as she saw a white figure descending from the sky. Not now!
Before she could blink, she saw the dark Butler join Ash and they started to battle. They grappled in the sky for several minutes before they landed in a heap just feet in front of Angeline. Really, these brief and poorly planned attacks from Ash were getting old. He seemed to be so obsessed with being with her that he flew into the Phantomhive estate blindly in an attempt to get her when the butler was sidetracked. Angeline smiled as she thought that would never happen, Sebastian was simply one hell of a butler.
Angeline stepped back as the fight commenced. She watched as Ash escaped from Sebastian's grip and her stomach dropped as she was snatched away and Ash began to hoist her into the air. She saw Sebastian's eyes glint literally with murder, his usually crimson eyes glowing so bright they were almost pink.
"Sebastian!" Angeline shouted, his name ripping from her throat involuntarily. The garden grew smaller as she was pulled higher. Helpless, Angeline thought. Can't even defend yourself from this Angel, pathetic. you depend on a demon butler for survival.
Angeline was brought back from her thoughts as a butter knife buried itself into Ash's wings and he lost his grip on her. She gasped as she fell from the great height he'd dropped her from. Nice going Sebastian, she thought. I won't die from Ash, but from this fall.
She knew it wasn't true, but she was still scared to death as the ground got closer. But as always, Sebastian came through and leaped into the air, grabbing Angeline by the waist and cushioning her fall. She didn't move as she watched Ash fall after them. He snarled as he saw that Sebastian had Angeline in an embrace and charged with his eyes glazed over with hatred. Angeline braced herself against Sebastian, expecting the worst but blinked as a huge grey dog ran the Angel over.
Angeline let out a breathless laugh, seeing how Pluto tossed Ash around like a plaything but grew weary once more as Ash escaped and flew away with promise in his eyes. Promise directed at Angeline.
Sebastian carried Angeline toward the manor and Angeline, too tired and shocked by the previous events, gave no complaint.
