This chapter is one of my personal favorites. So I'll dedicate it to Lectro Underground for sticking with me since the beginning. Now there will be some suggestive hints, but oh well! :P the song used here is Katy Perry's Star struck. It is actually a 'night core' version so you can all go to my profile for the link and listen to it while reading. And that version belongs to ReaperLovers so thanks to them as well.
Hope you all enjoy it.
Chapter 9
DREW POV.
Oh come on! Be night already. I thought wickedly as we walked through the so-called 'Monster Town'. This morning when we woke up Misty and Paul told us everything about their plan and the elite 8. The girls were going to be the ones to do most of the job, but this time I didn't mind. I rubbed my hands together just thinking about it. The plan was… oh never mind! In short tonight we would be rocking the Royal Club.
"Mist, think about it once again please." May whined.
"Shut it, May. For the millionth time, I have thought this through and it will work perfectly if you don't mess up." Misty replied rubbing her temples.
"But we have been walking around for hours and there not a sign of a single person here." She said
"Actually, June it has only been an hour." Gary said chewing on some candy. "Hey, how dare you steal that." Leaf whacked him in the head.
"Also there are no persons here, only monsters." Dawn commented with disgust while Ash was pretending to claw at Paul's back. Paul turned around baring his teeth "Hey, Paul is a vampire." Ash pointed to his canines. "Shut it, Thunder-boy." Paul growled. "And he growls like a werewolf." Ash continued, oblivious to Paul's glare. Paul punched him (playfully, according to Paul) in the gut causing Ash to hunch over in pain. "And he punches like The Hulk." Ash spat on the street while everyone laughed and Paul rolled his eyes.
We continued walking and joking like this for another few minutes. I was looking around at the houses; all painted in red, crimson, black or gold, these creatures used all shades that gave you creeps but still made the houses look royal. Each looked like a copy of the other. I wonder if we were going in circles around this city, but Paul assured us that we were moving the right way. Both Misty and Paul had a map in their hands and talking silently, Gary was telling May and Leaf about how fun Clubs used to be back home with Leaf calling him a 'Pervert' every time he described the girls. Dawn walked beside me with Ash who was eating some kind of berry. Where he got it from, I have no idea.
"Look Drew, that is so pretty." Dawn pointed to a glowing flower with light pink petals and another with warm yellow petals. Being in the city of the devil, we had not expected there to be such sweet smelling flowers. I wanted one or two and give it to Dawn as well but she warned me about not knowing if they were even normal. So we just settled for admiring them.
"Okay here it is." Misty pointed to a huge store painted black with glowing gold letters on the top 'Royal Boutique.' "You guys go get five V. registered. After we are done with our clothes, you boys can get your clothing and I'll get them a job." She continued pointing towards her three friends. Misty dragged the reluctant looking girls to the store and we headed to the huge counter near the club with Ash groaning about walking so much.
Third person's view
Gary and Drew were talking to the two werewolves, buff security guards showing them the passes for themselves, who had poised as two extremely hot and single men. They were chatting in low tones pointing to Paul who stood behind them, hands shoved in his pockets. The guards looked over to the 'couple' that Ash and Misty pretended to be. Ash had his hand on Misty's waist while she stood with her hands on his chest. How flustered both of them were at this moment was only known to the rest of the boys, who silently snickered. Paul grabbed the back of Gary's shirt and shoved the passes in the Guard's hand, who looked down and then allowed them to enter.
As they entered they were escorted by a woman who wore booty shorts and bikini top to their V.I.P area. Every now and again the woman would flick her hot pink hair and would wink at the boys. Gary winked back and walked to the semicircular, black couch. The woman looked like a fan girl already as she left the teens to themselves.
"Whoa, its huge." Ash murmured. "You can say that again." Drew said a little dazed. "Whoa, its huge." Ash repeated while Misty smacked him and the rest of them sweat dropped. The Royal Club was bigger than they thought. Towards the front there was a big stage for dancers and to perform; to the right was the bar, with a long black and shiny shelf and many bar stools in front of it. The barmaids were cleaning the glasses, serving drinks and obviously flirting. To the left of the stage was the sitting area for normal, not so rich townspeople. The area in front of the stage was empty, maybe the place for people to dance and party. The V.I.P area had the front and the best view of the stage; it had many black couches like theirs with a crystal table in front for drinks. Every couch had its own bunny girl serving drinks and tending to their needs. Behind their couch was a huge crystal staircase which reflected colorful lights of the club back beautifully. The staircase led to another royal looking area with a huge throne in the middle. Misty guessed it was for the Demon King.
Paul sat in the centre with his arms resting on the back of the couch and legs just touching the crystal table in front of him. Drew and Gary left for a little while and Ash sat a little away from Paul with Misty cuddled up to him. All the boys wore shirts of their respective color with the top few buttons left unbuttoned, and sleeves rolled up. Along with this they wore black jeans; Gray's was a little ripped and Paul had skull chains dangling off of his. This attire gave them a casual-formal look. Misty had to admit they looked really good and tonight they would even have many monster girls ogling at them.
Misty was pleased with what she chose to wear. Even though she wasn't fond of cocktail dresses but this one was simple yet matched her style. It was a royal blue satin dress which left one shoulder bare. The left arm had a loose elbow length sleeve which was a little ruffled at the shoulder. The dress was plain and went to her mid thighs. She wore silver danglers and heels with it, and finished the look with short straight hair let loose. (Check out my profile for the link to the picture of the dress)
Ash held Misty close to him stroking her hair. They were so soft and pretty, Misty herself was very pretty to Ash especially no matter what she wore. He was good friends with her so hugging her like this seemed very normal to him. He could smell that she had a nice body scent, just like the ocean. He looked towards Paul and started talking with him in low voices while he drank wine.
Gary left his friends on the couch and headed straight for the bar. He was simply dying to see Leaf in what sexy barmaid costume she wore. He smirked as random girls flirted with him, now don't get him wrong, he is a playboy so he is bound to like the attention that girls give him; now that is one thing that will never change about him. He walked along the counter looking for Leaf and that was when he spotted her. He could only recognize her because of her long chestnut colored hair. He ran a hand through his spikes and walked towards the sexy barmaid.
To say Leaf was annoyed was an understatement. To start with she had a really short sexy light green dress that flaunted her hourglass figure. Well that was not really the bad thing because she liked this dress and chose it herself. It was a strapless dress with a thick black cloth belt like thingy on her lower waist. The dress was backless with two green straps running horizontally to hold the dress in place. She wore netted black stockings and black high cow girl boots and black cowgirl hat. She had let her hair stay loose so it could cover her back from the hungry looks that she was getting. She was faking smiles and cleaning the counter when suddenly she could feel someone breathing on her neck.
She looked up and backed away, it was some guy very lean and well muscled. He was wearing a hood so she could not see much of his face, just his toothy grin. She faked a smile and asked "Would you like something, sir?"
"Sir?!" he said and laughed. "Babe, you are enough for me tonight." He said huskily.
She gave him what was supposed to be a flirty smile and looked around. She thanked Girantina when she spotted Gary coming towards her, fuming. Even though this was not the time to think about it but she thought that Gary looked hot. She blinked quickly when he reached the counter and slammed his hand lightly on the sparkling shelf. He leaned forward and held her chin bringing her ear closer to his mouth.
"Come on Chika, you are needed." He said winking. Leaf could detect smugness and a little anger in his voice. "And who needs me?" she leaned on the counter with her arms crossed and eyes fluttering. "Ahan, why don't you come and see?" he replied smirking.
"Come on babe, leave the loser, I'll give you more." The hooded guy said pulling Leaf up so that now she was sitting on her knees on the counter itself. She could sense many women giving her jealous looks. Gary flicked the stranger's hand away, trying to keep his cool. Leaf saw that he was getting impatient so she hopped down the counter into Gary's lap. He looked down at her a little shocked but then smirked victoriously at the guy who frowned and simply left.
Leaf jumped off of Gary and dusted her dress, patting it down. "Aww, but I was enjoying that." He whined standing up beside her. "Tough luck" she stuck her tongue out popping the gum and they headed to their friends.
May was bored, very bored. Bored of boys trying to flirt with her, bored of being sugar sweet and serving drinks dressed as a bunny girl, and bored of not having someone to argue with. Yep, she missed her friends and Drew and she just wanted the two guys who have been following her to just stop. She left the tray at a table and pulled her short frilly skirt down. She wore a bright red strapless bunny girl dress whose skirt was laced with white at the border. The dress had a huge white bow that tied behind her back showing off her curves. She wore red netted stockings and with gloves that reached her elbows. Her hair was in two low pigtails with a cute bunny ears headband holding back her flicks. (Link on my profile)
May picked up the tray with refilled glasses when someone took it from her. She looked up pissed and found two boys standing there, their faces covered by hoods and shades. "Be my Bunny girl, sweetie." One of them said bluntly and flirtatiously while the other one set the tray down. "Who may you be?" May asked sharply. "Are you new here? Have you never gotten out of your house or what?" the second one said gaping at her question.
May grew confused, is she supposed to know them? Oh dear, what now? "Come now, serve me and I'll think about forgiving you, Hun." The first one said while running a hand down her arm. She immediately pulled away but his smirk turned to a scowl. Uh oh, bad move May, she mentally scolded. But to hide her nervous expression she lifted the tray and turned around. That's when she heard a sound something like a clap and she turned around. There what she saw surprised and pleased her at the same time.
The strange guy held his hand low like he was about to slap something, and his wrist was tightly held by an expressionless Drew whose eyes glinted challengingly. Drew pushed the other guy's hand away and said "Sorry dude but you are late, she is my bunny girl and you are not going to spank her."
May felt a nerve throb in her temple but she smiled anyways at Drew's words and leaned her head on his shoulder. Drew held her by the waist and led her away from two strange scowling men. "You are welcome, June." Drew smirked. "But I didn't say thank you, Drew. Are your ears ringing?" she retorted. "Oh but you just did, 'bunny girl'." He flicked his hair. She huffed and stomped on his foot with her belles and stalked away. He caught her wrist and yanked her in the other direction. "Silly June, you are going the wrong way." He teased.
Count to ten and everything will be okay. 1,2,3 don't worry you won't mess up, 4,5,6 you have done this so many times so chill, 7,8,9 it's no big deal. NO! IT IS A VERY BIG DEAL, A HUGE DEAL. Dawn was hyperventilating, fruitlessly trying to calm her nerves down. If you think the boys, Misty, May or Leaf had a tough job then Dawn's was ten times worse. I mean, they did not have to dance in front of a huge crowd, or try to catch the demon king's attention, and they certainly did not have to flirt with monster boys and bloody hell seduce the demon king !
Dawn twisted her fingers in her lacy skirt and waited for her to be announced on stage. She was well prepared and ready but now she doubted she could even stand without her legs shaking. Oh no, she thought and put her head in her hands, I am going to make a fool out of myself. Someone cleared their throat and she looked up, the D.J's assistant was standing there and she motioned towards the stage, signaling Dawn was up in 5 minutes. Dawn sighed getting up and walked to her set-up trembling and cursing Paul and Misty for their stupid plan.
"Oh come on, be done with it already." May whined at the D.J who was announcing the king's arrival since the last five minutes. The spot light was on the throne and everyone had turned to look at the king. "Patience, May." Paul snapped and that is when he entered.
The king was certainly not what any of the eight had expected, he was not cruel old man like Leaf thought or someone with bat wings and horns like Ash pictured him to be. The girl's jaws dropped at the sight of the man in front of them. He was just so, so hot. His scarlet spiky bangs were a little messy but still appealing. He was a pale young boy about the age of 18, well muscled with quite normal clothes on. He wore a satin crimson shirt with most buttons unbuttoned leaving the monster girls to swoon at his pale well built chest. He wore black pants and shoes. But the most mesmerizing part of him was his eyes which were sparkly silver like the moon. His lips curved into a smirk as he sat down.
There were four cloaked and hooded women flanking his sides. All a person could see were their blood red lips and hourglass figures. The boys were also shocked and Ash closed Misty's mouth which brought her back to reality. They all turned back around and shook their heads. Leaf fell back into the couch beside Gary and May sat between Gary and Paul. Paul took a sip of the red wine and went back to being emotionless.
"I don't think it was such a good plan now." Misty said slowly and Drew nodded. "Did we do the right thing by sending her for that job." Gary asked twirling Leaf's hair in his fingers, this caused Leaf to shiver. "He better keep his filthy hands off of Dawn." Paul said blankly but they all could hear anger and concern in his voice.
"Wow, just Wow…" Ash muttered.
"What is it, Ashy-boy?" Drew asked.
"Paul just called Dawn by her name and not troublesome." He said causing Misty to smack him and everyone to smile, even Paul had a small smile on his face.
"And now, just for the king we present a very arousing and beautiful dance performance. The new lady shall take the floor. Give it up for The Black Rose." The D.J cheered and everyone clapped hard, hooting.
Paul sat up straighter and everyone was a little tense. Suddenly the whole club went silent, so silent that you could hear a pin drop. There was dark all around only a spotlight on the stage which looked like the moonlight. The floor of the stage slid away letting a circular ring rise from the floor. It rose a feet above the stage floor, floating and glowing.
Everyone's eyes widened when they saw that someone was chained in the middle of the ring. The person's skin was illuminated by the spotlight and the midnight colored hair shined as they covered her face that was hung like she was dead. Her pale hands and bare legs spread out, chains holding them tight. She was barefooted only her dress was a fancy one. The steaming black corset top stuck to her body and baby pink laces bordered its sweet heart neck line, criss-crossing and forming tiny pink bows from her chest to her low waist. She wore a baby pink lacy skirt that ended just above her mid thighs and were held to the corset by a pink lace ribbon bow.
Everyone's heart was thumping even the Devil looked fascinated. And that is when the music started slow, while she raised her head up. This was only for a few seconds as soon there were drum beats and the complete ring with chains exploded into glitter. The girl jumped high summer-salting in the air and landing on her fours like a cat.
Just as the first word of the song came out she was standing her hair like straight silk strands were messed up, but out of her face. Every boy's jaw dropped and many wolf-whistled.
Nice legs, Daisy dukes, makes a man go [whistle](boys actually whistled)
Thats the way they all come through like [whistle whistle]
Low-cut, see-through shirts that make you [whistle]
Thats the way she come through like [whistles]
She was cat walking, and swinging her hips at every 'whistle'. She was lip sing the lyrics while running a hand up her legs and leaning forward to show a little more cleavage.
Cause I just set them up, just set them up, just set them up, just set them up,
She was at the edge of the stage sitting with her legs open a little more than necessary. She had an innocent smile on her face as she swung her legs and pouted like a little girl. The monster boys were now very close to her almost touching her smooth legs. Paul's wine glass was clenched in his fist while he took another sip, his eyes not leaving the lady in front. Ash seemed to be a little confused but enjoying. Misty was looking at Dawn and then the king.
Cause I just set them up, just set them up, just set them up to knock them down.
And Dawn pushed a boy away casually but hard enough to make him fall to the floor dazed. Then she jumped down and walked through.
I think I should know, how, to make love to something innocent without leaving my fingerprints out,
Now, L.O.V.E's just another word I never learned to pronounce.
She was dancing to the fast beat, gracefully and seductively. Sometimes she would bend then twirl. She pulled a boy by his collar when she lipped the words 'make love'. Then she pushed him away and ran forwards jumping and flipping. She landed perfectly in a side split.
How, do I say I'm sorry 'cause the word is never gonna come out,
Now, L.O.V.E's just another word i never learned to pronounce.
She was up and off the floor. And when she lipped 'l.o.v.e' she had her finger on her pouty lips with her eyebrows furrowed and she walked towards the V.I.P area swaying her body and a naughty expression on her face. The drum beats just made her move faster.
Tight jeans, Double D's makin' me go [whistles]
All the people on the street know [whistles whistles]
She stood on the crystal tables cart-wheeling making the boys drool seeing her fair body. She was walking from couch to couch plopping down near some random guy, then pushing him away.
Iced-out, lit-up make the kids go [whistles]
All the people on the street know [whistle whistle]
She ran her hand over some boys' hoods as she walked towards her friends in the middle. Dawn plopped down on the table in front of Paul as put her hands on her neck and bit down on her lips.
'Cause I just set them up, just set them up, just set them up to knock them down
She fell backwards with a naughty look directly into Paul's lap. She was still letting her body move turning on many boys as she pulled Paul's face closer so that they were staring directly into each other's eyes.
All her friends leaned closer together and Paul sipped his drink letting a few drops fall on Dawn's face and coloring her lips cherry. Behind her smoky eyes and clouded with fake lust they could see she was scared.
'Cause I just set them up, just set them up, just set them up to knock them down
To others it looked like she was just lip sing the song but she was telling her friends something completely different. "Those hoods hide the faces of the ones we seek." She shivered a little and murmured "I can't do it, I just can't."
Drew, Gary and Ash were trying to calm her and the girls were softly encouraging her. But only Paul's words were what she heard over the loud music "Shh, I know you can, you are strong Troublesome." It was very short and quick but that gave Dawn courage. As the beats of the song picked up she smiled and lightly flicked Paul's nose while getting up and off the table.
I think I should know, how, to make love to something innocent without leaving my fingerprints out,
Now, L-O-V-E's just another word i never learned to pronounce,
She was at the base of the staircase that would lead her to Silver and on her way she had to face the four hooded boys she had just talked about. But her friends trusted her and she could not, and would not lead them down.
She started climbing up, spinning and moving her arms and legs gracefully. But as she was past one boy she tripped and fell.
How, do I say I'm sorry cause the word is never gonna come out,
Now, L.O.V.E's just another word I never learned to pronounce.
To cover up her mistake she now crawled up the stairs like a wild cat about to pounce. In her peripherals she could see her friends' concerned faces turn to a sigh of relief. She crawled tugging one boy's cloak or nuzzling her head against the last one's leg.
Leaf and May did not like this one bit, their fear had gripped them. Gary's hands were unconsciously digging into the couch's back rest and Drew was gripping Ash's hand until it hurt.
As the music trailed on for a few seconds Dawn stood in front of the throne smirking at the boy who was lazily sitting with a glass of red wine, his mouth curled into a beautiful yet wicked smile.
You know that type of s**t just don't work on me,
Whistling and trying to flirt with me,
Don't take it personally 'cause we were never in love
Dawn stroked Silver's cheek and sat down on the arm rest of his throne. But it took only a second or two for Silver to pull her into his lap, as he ran his hand down from her waist to her thigh.
It was a wonder that the glass did not break under Paul's strong grip. His knuckles had turned white and his plum locks fell in his eyes giving him a sinister look. Gary's hands had almost ripped the back of the couch apart and Drew was now making Ash's arm go numb. Misty wore a stoic mask for face and May had squeezed her eyes shut. Leaf was gripping her long hair and looked like she would pull it out in her anger.
It doesn't really matter who you say you are,
Singing at the window of your car,
Find another girl across the bar 'cause L.O.V.E's not what this was,
Dawn's lips had stopped moving her eyes burned for staring him without blinking. She had completely frozen over, unable to see anything except those pools of rich silver, unable to feel anything except those warm muscled arms around her.
"I am your friend."
His eyes were burning a hole into her soul. He was by far the most fascinating being she had seen alive.
"My friend." She repeated giving him the angelic smile that melted anyone's heart.
Dawn was having a headache, and she knew that it would grow if she did not get out of his lap this instant. As the music continued to play she pushed him away and shot up, now standing behind his throne.
I think I should know,(oh ohh)
how,(oh ohh)to make love to something innocent without leaving my fingerprints out,(oh ohh)
Now,(oh ohh)L-O-V-E's just another word i never learned to pronounce,(oh ohh)
How,(oh ohh)do I say I'm sorry cause the word is never gonna come out,(oh ohh)
Now,(oh ohh)L.O.V.E's just another word I never learned to pronounce.
Her dance through the last few seconds was fast and wild, like she did not give a damn about her surroundings and would never stop. She had practically flipped down the stairs and cart-wheeled and spun and sprinted to the long bar table. At the last line of her song she rolled down behind the long table, going out of view of the hungry, predatory sight of the boys and jealous, murderous stares of the girls.
Every one howled and wolf whistled they clapped and most of them were now going crazy on the dance floor. Ash stood up helping Misty, who pulled Drew up along with her. May stood silently as Leaf patted her back and Gary offered a hand to Paul. He flinched a little under the intense look in Paul's eyes; he banged his empty glass down breaking it. He stood up and walked around his friends heading straight of the bar counter. May dusted away some glass shards from her dress and walked after Paul followed by everyone.
They all leapt over the counter and crouched down to the curled up human girl. Her eyes were devoid of any emotion staring off into space, she was curled up in a small vulnerable position shivering on the cold floor.
Misty held the trembling girl in her arms and everyone tried to comfort her and tried to snap her out of her little trauma. May gripped Dawn's shoulder and turned her to face them. "Are you okay?" she mumbled
"Are you really a brainless kid, huh March? Of course she is not okay!" Drew snapped. Leaf understood how Drew was feeling so she placed a hand on his arm and felt him relax under her touch. "Sorry!" he whispered and May nodded sympathetically.
A few seconds passed without a word uttered. "I am okay. Sorry guys, I made you worry." Dawn spoke in a small voice. Everyone offered her a smile and Gary hugged her as soon as she was out of Misty's arms. Everyone soon followed, joining the group hug, all except Paul. Dawn was being crushed in the centre but she looked up to meet the stoic boy's obsidian orbs, giving him a small smile she stretched out her hand. Paul looked down at the delicate, small and pale hand that she was offering him to take and that was when he felt all his anger and worry melt away as he placed his hand in hers. He raised his eyes to see her royal blue eyes sparkling and an angelic smile on her face, one he had never seen before.
"I am thirsty." Dawn croaked as everyone pulled away.
"Here, drink some of it. It will also help you calm your nerves." Ash offered Dawn a glass of scotch. She eyed the glass hesitantly but eventually took it gratefully gulping it all down in one go. To these eight friends this moment was a special and cherished one, but of course it had to be broken by loud bangs on the counter. Ash was about to say something but stopped when Leaf adjusted her hair and dress and stood up.
She was still looking down at her friends while she asked in a tired voice "How may I help you?"
Someone laughed and Leaf looked up only to find herself shocked out of her wits. Her eyes turned as big as saucers and her face drained of all color. Her hands shook as she recognized the eight people standing before her.
They were none other than the mightiest and the most feared team in hell, the Elite 8, but that was not what horrified her. The eight humans stood tall before her alright but they had their hoods down and those faces were what made a chill run down her spine.
Brendan and Barry were teasing Brianna, and Ursula, Melody and Bianca laughed their slutty asses off at the jokes that Tracy was cracking. Red leaned against the counter but none of them once faced Leaf because she was sure she would be DEAD if they found her out.
TADA! Phew such a long.. long … long chapter. Omg ! the elite eight sure gave our heroes a surprise. But why is Dawn scared? What was the little flashback about? How will they get out of the club alive? I loved the little intentional and unintentional flirting romance in this chapter. Sorry I took so long to update but it was worth it?
