"Nora," Patch broke the silence, "who the hell was that?"

Nora couldn't think straight. So much has just happened in so little time. Without realizing it, Nora let out a strangled sob. She had no idea that someone would of found her this early. Tears started to stream down her cheeks. "Why can't I have something normal for once? Why can't I have this one thing?" Nora thought to herself.

Patch remained silent. He couldn't tell if he was more frustrated or scared. Oh hell, why not both. He was scared that his Angel was going to be taken away from him. He was also frustrated because he didn't know who or what the hell Rixon was. Patch tightened his grip around the steering wheel as he glared though the windshield. Patch was also pissed off at the fact that this Rixon Character wanted to take Nora and examined Patch as if he was nothing. Patch snorted. This was fucking unbelievable. Nora looked as Patch. She knew that she needed to explain to Patch, but she couldn't find the right words to tell him..

"Oh what the hell..." She thought to herself, "here goes nothing."

"Patch.. that.. that was Rixon. He used to be an angel-"

"What do you mean by 'used to be'?" Patch cut her off. Nora let a sigh.

"He's fallen. That's what I mean by 'used to be'."

Another silence was drawn upon them. Patch mulled over the new information that Nora just given. Patch believed in Heaven and Hell, he also believed in Angels... but Fallen Angels? That was a completely different case in itself. This couldn't get anymore screwed up.

Patch started to ask himself questions. If this so called "Fallen Angel" was actually fallen, what did he go to fall and what the hell did he want with Nora?

"Do you know why he is fallen?" Patch asked Nora after several moments of asking himself questions. He kept his eyes on the road as the sun slowly started to rise higher into the sky.

"No.. I don't know very much about the fallen. But I do know that if someone upsets the Arch's enough they'll rip their wings out and banish them from heaven and at that point, you are considered fallen."

"So, do the fallen turn human?"

"No. They just stay fallen."

"Meaning?"

"Meaning that they never age, although, angels never age either, but the fallen may appear human, but they aren't. They're immortal. They roam the Earth for eternity causing as much mischief as they can."

"Mischief?" Patch asked. There were so many questions that he wanted to ask and his mind was turning with all the new information that he tried to maintain. The more that he knew the better. He wanted to protect Nora as much as he could. He didn't want to lose her again. Not ever.

Nora sighed. "Sometime in October or November, I can't remember when it starts, but somewhere in there is the beginning of Cheshvan or also known as the Hebrew month. During this time a fallen angel can posses a Nephilim body by making the Nephilim swear an oath."

"Why would they want to do that? What is the point of possessing another body when you have your own?" Patch asked in shock.

Nora smiled a sad smile. "Fallen angels can't feel anything. They can touch something but not actually feel it. So when they posses a Nephilim's body, they can feel. Let's say when the fallen angel is in its original body and it cuts itself on a piece of glass, it will feel no pain. None at all. But when they are in their vessels bod and cut themselves, they'll experience the stinging and pain that you get from the cut... does that make sense?"

"Yes. But besides that, what do they do with their vessels?"

"Well.. they can so some pretty awful stuff Patch.." Nora put some double meaning behind the word awful hoping that Patch would catch on. Patch caught onto the meaning right away.

This was way out of control... but one thing wasn't really adding up..

"So what does Rixon want with you?"

Nora's sad smile faded a little. She knew that what she was about to tell Patch was going to break him apart.

"Patch.. the reason why Rixon is after me is because... because he wants to become human. And I am the only way he can turn human.."

Patch was floored by this information. He took his eyes off the deserted to look at Nora. Now this didn't make any fucking sense. Nora hastily grabbed the panic bar and looked at Patch, fear was written on her face.

"Patch!" She squealed. She was trying to back herself into the seat. Patch brought his eyes back to road and immediately swerved back into the right lane, barely missing an oncoming car. Patch cursed to himself. He looked over his right shoulder and swiftly pulled over to the side of the road. He parked the jeep and turned it off. He looked at Nora. Her skin was pale, she was trying to calm her breathing as she still held the panic bar in a death grip.

"What do you mean that you're the only way Rixon can become human?" Patch asked, not giving Nora any time to recover. Nora let out an unamused laugh. She slowly collected herself and let go of the panic bar. She turned her body so that she was facing Patch. His face was impassive. He didn't want to show Nora that he was panicking. He wanted to be the strong one. But Nora knew better. She knew that Patch would pull something like this. He always did when he was feeling vulnerable. She reached over and placed both hands either side of his face. Although she was still trying to recover from being scared out of her mind from almost getting into an accident, she wanted to cry. She wanted to cry for Patch because of what she was about to tell him.

Patch leaned into her right hand but he kept his dark eyes on her gray ones. Patiently waiting for her explanation. Nora let out an exasperated sigh.

"Patch, promise me you'll hear me out? Promise me?"

It was quiet for a few minutes as Patch searched Nora's beautiful gray eyes. He closed his eyes and let out a sigh. He opened his eyes and answered. "I promise."
