Eric and Melissa arrived at the mall easily. They then headed out to a restaurant for a quick dinner before making their way through the stores. Eric had made a point of always keeping an arm around Melissa's body, whether it was his hand on her lower back or on her arm, he made sure she was there all the time.
Melissa wasn't too happy about the new turn of events. Eric had always been very protective and possessive of her. Things felt even more complicated since she felt a constant pull towards him. As they passed through the clothing stores, she made sure to grab only the things she needed the most at the moment: a few pair of jeans, skirts, blouses and T-shirts. Much to both their chagrin Melissa thought it would be best to leave her lingerie shopping for last. Eric sighed when he noticed her hesitation upon entering the store.
-"Just go buy what you need. I won't look, I promise. Nor will I try to jump your bones while you're inside the dressing room. I made a promise and I keep my promises." He watched her head into the store, his mind going back to the last time before her departure when she had asked him to go shopping with her.
-"Eric? Can you please come here for a second? The zipper got stuck." Melissa opened the door to the dressing room, pointing to the dress she was wearing. It had a low cut cleavage and a tight skirt that barely covered her ass. Eric made his way inside the dressing room, noticing she had removed her shoes while trying on the dress. As his hands moved around her back to find the zipper he was surprised to notice there wasn't one.
Melissa grinned at him in the mirror before turning on her heels and pushing him down to sit on the small bench inside the dressing room. Making her way to him, she straddled him while his arms looped around her waist. Melissa's hands undid a few of his buttons before pressing her lips to his neck while his hand went beneath her skirt.
Eric pushed her thong aside, two of his fingers entering her womanhood, finding her wet already. He started working his hand, bringing Melissa to her peak quickly. She sucked on his neck, muffling her moans as she reached her release. Once she managed to calm down they tidied themselves up, exiting the dressing room. The sales adviser watched them, horror written on her face, before Melissa cheekily informed her that the dress' zipper had been stuck and Eric helped her unzip it. .
-"Penny for your thoughts?" Melissa walked away after paying for her stuff and made her way near Eric. He had seemed to be in a faraway land. When he raised his head to look at her she gulped. He was probably thinking of their last shopping session they did together. "Never mind. I'm done. We can go home now."
Eric nodded his head, taking away her bags in one hand and taking her hand in his other one. Melissa remained quiet, thinking of all the times that they had actually managed to get a quiet evening or day out for themselves. Those had been a rare treat. Eric was constantly busy with his club and she worked a lot, but yet they had managed to make things work out. Or that's what Melissa had thought.
Eric had taken her to a few of the club's parties when they had started dating. He had been honest about those parties being a part of his world. Melissa had been shocked by them initially, but had eventually learned to accept them. She and Bunny would spend time talking through the parties. Caleb or Wren would come over and keep them company if other clubs were visiting.
Melissa always wondered why until Bunny mentioned that if a member of another club hit on either of them things would turn to shit fast. Apparently, the boys considered the two of them as being their club's old ladies and as such they were not to be touched by anyone. Melissa wondered who Caleb's girl could possibly be.
The man had always liked to keep a cool head and she didn't remember seeing him frequenting the club slags very often. Whoever the girl was she must've been someone special for him to be interested in her. Melissa only hoped that things would work out better for them than they did for Jake and Samara.
As they reached the car, Eric placed the shopping bags in the backseat before sitting down behind the wheel. The silence that fell between Melissa and him was covered up by the radio. As they passed one of the town's churches, Melissa turned her head to look at him. .
-"Do you still go to the church?" Eric's grip on the steering wheel tightened before he answered her question. Melissa was the only other person besides Caleb to know one of his biggest secrets. And she learned it by accidentally stumbling upon it.
-"I do. It's still my way of leaving behind my worries and troubles." Melissa nodded her head at his words. She had been involved in a few of the town's charity organizations before she had left. While doing an errand on one of them she had walked in on Eric handing the pastor a sum of money that would have been used for the orphan children in town.
It was that side of Eric that made her fall for him. Sure, he was an ass and a downright jerk. But at the end of the day, he had his own way of trying to make the world a better place. Who would've guessed that one of the most dangerous men in town was trying to do the right thing for those in need? Melissa had learned a lesson of never judging people by appearances that day. There was always more than meets the eye.
Once they reached the house Melissa took the bags inside her bedroom while Eric headed to his office. Removing her shoes and putting on a pair of slippers, she headed down the stairs to get a glass of water. Melissa studied her house through the kitchen window. Eric then entered the kitchen as well. He had removed his shirt and shoes.
-"Eric? Tell me about Caleb's girl. What's she like? In fact, do you guys have any more old ladies now that Bunny's gone?" Eric grinned when he heard her question. Leave it to Melisa to be interested in details such as this.
-"Well we now have Miranda, Wren's girl, Sydney who is dating Alex, and Hanna, Caleb's girl. They're the ones no one is allowed to touch or mess around with. Miranda and Wren are going to become parents. They are both thrilled by the idea. Sidney and Alex are going steady as well and the newest in the group would be Hanna. She's only been around for a couple of months. Caleb hired her to work at the garage as our account person." .
Melissa raised her eyebrow, hearing the news. Though she supposed news like that were to be expected. Wren, Alex, and Caleb had always struck her as being both easy going, but also family oriented. While she was happy to hear that Wren was about to become a daddy, Melissa also had a fleeting thought that the Hanna Eric mentioned might actually be her sister's best friend. Melissa shook her head at the idea.
If she knew anything about Hanna and Spencer's friendship it was that neither of them would really ever consider a Phantom as a possible candidate for dating. The Hanna that she knew of would run for it. After all she did date a minister's son in high school.
-"I see. Well, I'm happy for them. I have some depositions to finish so I'll head to my room. Goodnight, Eric." Melissa moved aside him, making her way out of her kitchen while Eric's eyes followed her. He watched her until she got to the top floor before he headed back to his office.
Hy guys,
I'm sad to inform you that due to lack of feedback on the stories I'm currently working on I've decided to stop wrting once I finish the fics I'm currently working on. It has been one hell of a rde that I've experienced ever since I joined this world but now it must come to an end. I've seen a lot of peopl complain about the lack of good writers and fanfictions existing on the internet. Guess what the lack of reviews is a big factor for that. I ersonally have always been motivated by your thoughts. For some reason you guys just won't review. So I'm sad to inform you that unless things change I ill stop writing.
Thank you for all of your attention.
Nico
