Chapter 9: Street Spirit.

Edward still couldn't see straight, his eyes are always constantly scanning his entire surroundings, hurriedly he whips his head in every direction when he caught even the slightest hint of movement, his senses are on high alert relentlessly, and he didn't want to give them a break.

The only time he did, was when he ran into a nearby alley way and puked out every single contents he had residing inside his stomach.

And the coke, as he recently learned, was spiked and therefore, he was drunk.

So drunk.

He didn't know what he's doing, or where he's going, maybe he got left behind, maybe he left someone else behind, and maybe he was going to throw up again, but the only thing he does remember is throwing up, at the very least.

But he can't remember where it was he's heading to, or where he lived, or what that disgusting feeling was in the back of his head that is nagging at him constantly.

And for the life of him, he still had idea what that constant shrill ringing was, and what that ticklish feeling he felt on his left ass cheek. It tickled, like someone was fondling his ass. Suddenly terrified, he turns around and quickly looks down, to find that his ass was glowing.

"Wha'tha fuck?" He slurs, squinting his golden eyes down to his left ass cheek, it was glowing. "My celler-ma-phone!" He rejoices, he slaps a hand to his cheek as he clumsily pulls out his cell from his back pocket.

Once he grabs hold of the cell and pulls it out, he whips the cell to his face, only to find that his eyes weren't going to let him read the caller I.D on the front of his cell phone any time soon.

Sighing in disdain at having drunk eyes, because he is still unable to see straight, he pushes the button without having the slightest knowledge of who it was that is calling him.

"What?" He snaps. Then smirks lazily. "I'm sorry…I meant…What is it…?" He asks, a little more sheepishly, as if to prove that he was being innocent. He even shuffles his feet together and puts on an innocent looking grin.

Which would fool no one if someone was even around to witness the fake smile and fake polite tone of voice.

"Brat! Where the fuck did you go?! You suddenly ditch me? And you left your fucking sweater idiot! Where are you so I can yell at your stupid looking face!?"

"Envy…?" Edward blinks at the easily recognizable voice on the other end of his cell. "What are you doing in my ass?" He asks innocently.

"….What?" came the gruff reply.

"You called my ass! It vibrated for you!" Edward smiles, throwing his hands in the air for emphasis.

"Where are you?" Envy growls in frustration.

Edward looks around, and realizes that he was still walking without even having the slightest knowledge of where it was he was heading to, he also realizes, he is lost. And on top of that, it was extremely dark out, save for the flashing streetlight currently hanging over his bright blonde head. He knew he's in L.A, but in which part of the city, it was confusing. And scary.

So where did he go? And where was he?

"Hello? Runt? Are you even there!?"

"E-Envy…" Edward—if he was sober at the moment would've swore at himself and regret ever answering the damn question Envy asked of him, cause the moment he answered—in his drunk idled mind—everything didn't make sense and he didn't care, and the way he answered Envy's question, his voice shook, and he choked on his own sob that had managed to escape his cold and chapped lips.

"Envy…I-I'm sho' schared and c-cold. I'm far away…" Edward didn't know what he meant by that, and he didn't even know what he was going to say afterwards. But his mouth and head just formed those words and out they came.

"Far away...? You're lost aren't you? GOD!" Shouted Envy, almost blowing off Edward's ear-drum.

Envy sounded pissed, and Edward felt that it was his fault, now feeling scared, cold, and bad, Edward sniffled and choked on another sob.

"I'm sorry!" He apologizes, and he meant that apology. It was his fault that he was lost, why he ran away in the first place he didn't even remember, he couldn't remember, but he just knew that everything this night had to offer, was his own damn fault.

He heard a sigh on the other end of the line and he flinched at the exhale of breath, he actually forgot he was still on the phone with Envy.

"I'm going to find you…So don't go anywhere! I swear to God that if I find you the next day dead, then I'll be the one you're going to haunt I just know it!"

Edward couldn't help it, but he laughs, giggles madly, and snorts after he was done his laughing fit.

On the other end of the line, he hears a small breezy chuckle as if Envy couldn't hold back his own laughter as well.

"Whatever. I'll find you. And I'll take you back home, then you'll be—"

Home.

Hohenhiem.

He couldn't be seen with Envy by Hohenhiem.

"NO!" Edward shouts into the cell phone, hearing Envy curse loudly on the other end. "Don' take me home! Hohenhiem will bitch! An' Al 'ill be mad!" He slurs uncontrollably.

"Well then, where the fuck are you gonna go?"

"With you! Take me back to your place!" Edward shouts furiously.

Then he smiles and starts laughing loudly into the cell.

"Tha' sounds dirty…Envy is takin' me back to his place! Hee hee!" He giggles, holding his side with his free arm and starts to giggle madly into his cell phone.

Hearing on the other end a snort and a muttered. "Shut up."

"I'm going to find you, so stay where ever you are and stay in the light! I'll find you. Don't go anywhere squirt!"

"Am not small! I is simply…Still growing!" Edward hiccups into the cell before he hangs up with a loud growl, he then stomps his way to a random light post and presses his back against the streetlight, and holds himself with his arms and hangs his head in defeat.

Call done.

Now he felt a tad bit better.

Envy…He sounded so sure that he was going to find him. And he believed that Envy WAS going to find him. Then he'll be warm again, and not drunk, and not be alone anymore.

Alone…

Looking up, Edward noticed for the first time in a long time—even if he was drunk at the moment—that he has always been alone, and it had mostly always been his fault because of it. Alphonse was always there, thank God he still had his brother there to keep him alive, and sane for that matter.

But he still didn't feel right, inside he felt as though a big chunk of his life suddenly disappeared and had never really existed, maybe he started to feel truly and utterly alone when his mother got ill and suddenly she passed away without a warning…Maybe it was then that he started to feel empty…

Or maybe it all started when his mother did leave, but then someone else just as important came into the picture.

Yeah…Maybe…And it was probably then that he started realizing that he could trust people again because of that person. And he was starting to smile from the bottom of his heart again, and realized that maybe he didn't have to hurt anymore, although the pain of his mother was still there rearing it's ugly, depressing head every now and again, but as long as that person was there in his life, he didn't have to think of the unbearable pain and emptiness anymore. It was then, in his past, that he started to notice that he had a true best friend to actually call him "best friend" but then...He suddenly left...Without a word, and without a good-bye.

And just like his mother.

The next day, he was gone.

Just like her.

It was at that time, that he started to feel even more empty that he had felt before, so alone, so petrified of others. But now, as time passed, as people came and gone, he truly started to realize that he WAS alone again, and maybe that's how it was supposed to be for him, right? Him always being alone? Wasn't it always supposed to stay that way? Because if people came and gone from his life, it was always his fault they left him, right?

So how exactly is Envy so special to be the one to suddenly change all that? And Ling for that matter? Why those two? What suddenly made him change his mind, and actually make him start to think, and feel again?

Edward looks down at his sneakers, as though they suddenly became the most interesting things alive on earth.

His heart still felt the same as it always been, cold, like ice and un-thawing, but somewhere deep inside his head, he felt a throbbing—maybe it was the alcohol in his system doing that to him—or maybe it was the fact that suddenly two people just waltzed into his life, and were doing everything in their power to just be his "Friends". And because of those two individuals, he suddenly felt...Not so lonely anymore, but he was as sure as hell, wasn't quite THERE and READY to have another normal friendly relationship with someone. Friends that he could actually trust.

Because in the back of his mind, there was a voice telling him that no one could be trusted.

Like Ling and Envy.

He couldn't trust those two as far as he could throw them.

"At least not yet", is what another voice inside his head kept repeating and screaming at him stubbornly.

Edward doesn't have a clue on how long he had his back pressed flush against the cold steel streetlamp, his skin was freezing, but he couldn't feel it, and he didn't even know how long he's been zoning out on his sneakers for, but when he suddenly looks up, he sees one single bright light in the distance, and from the loud and obnoxious rumbling and screeching it made, he knew it was Envy's motorcycle.

And before he knew it, he's now sitting behind Envy, on his bike, and clinging onto the long-haired teenager for dear life as they zigzagged and sped around many corners and alleyways.

He hadn't even realized that he was breathing in Envy's scent, but he knew that he was started to feel calm, almost sleepy, Envy smelt of alcohol, and motorcycle exhaust, it stunk in a way, but somehow and in someway, Envy has made the scent feel comfortable. And soothing.

And that was all Edward could remember, before he fell asleep, holding onto Envy with both his arms, and resting his head against the soft, yet muscular, back of Envy. With the teenager's long green hair constantly tickling his nose every now and then.

0.o.0.o.0.

"Envy..." Edward states groggily as his head continues to sway back and forth in a disgusting nauseating rhythm.

Envy huffs loudly and pulls Edward's half-dead body closer to the center of the bed inside the brat's room, and flicks the blonde-haired teenager in the center of his forehead with a scowl. "Shut up, you'll wake up your family." Envy hisses quietly. He starts to cover up Edward inside his own blankets and sighs heavily in frustration as he finally manages to get the brat comfortable in bed.

The long-haired teen scratches idly at his head and looks around the room. Edward's room was fairly big, save for the clutter of papers and books that littered the entire floor, but either than that, it was a big bedroom, not as big as his, but still big.

He looks down at the already sleeping teenager and sighs heavily under his breath. 'Now what am I gonna do?' He thought about going home, but he was dead tired from hauling the teenager here and there where ever he went, and he was pissed that Edward got drunk fast. But he couldn't blame the kid, because Ed didn't even know he was drinking something with alcohol in it, and that was probably the first time he ever got drunk too.

And he was still pissed at Greed for doing something to him that made him leave the Devil's Nest in a hurry. Whatever Greed had done, had scared the living shit out of the brat.

Envy looks out the balcony doors with a scowl. He would get Greed back for this, but for now, he was too tired to give a shit and raise some hell, so he decided to just spend the night here, and leave early in the morning before anyone woke up to find him there.

He starts pulling loose his black leather belt, then un-zips his pants and pulls them down from his waist and down to his ankles, where he then kicks his legs out of the jeans and climbs into bed wearing just his boxers and a t-shirt.

He sighs in pure bliss at having to sleep in a warm and comfortable bed and pulls the blankets over his shoulders and lays on his side, facing the sleeping, drunk, teenager beside him.

"Envy..." Moans the brat beside him groggily.

Envy sighs and opens his eyes, to see Edward sleepily looking at him in curiosity. Envy scowls at the dumb look the teenager had and pokes him in the nose. "What?" He whispers his reply.

Edward smiles and wiggles closer towards the long-haired teen. "What're you...?"

Envy narrows his eyes in confusion. "What're you...? What brat?" he growls lazily.

Edward smiles again and wraps his arm around the teenager's waist. "Give me your shirt." He whispers in determination.

Envy's eyes widen in surprise at the random request and shakes his head. "No." He easily answers.

"C'mon..." Whines Edward.

Envy rolls his eyes. "You're whining now?"

"Shaddup and gimme yer shirt, I'm cold." Edward states, tugging on the fabric of Envy's shirt.

Envy sighs in frustration, but does as he's told. Edward must be cold, because he drove the kid all the way back to his apartment without his shirt being on. Envy still had Edward's sweater, it's now in a pile of clothes that are in the center of the room, but Edward was adamant on sleeping, not being warm during the whole ride back to his apartment. So Envy sits up in bed, slips out of his t-shirt, and hands it to Edward with displeasure evident in his expression. "Better?" he grumbles.

Edward's face practically lights up in pure joy as he slips into Envy's shirt and sleepily falls back into bed without another word as he closes his drunken bloodshot eyes.

Envy only smirks at the teenager's reaction and lays back down in bed as well. 'He won't remember squat of what happened last night, might as well enjoy this.' Envy states inside his head as he closes his eyes once again and tries to fall into pleasant slumber.

That is, until Edward hugs him closer inside the bed and sighs into his chest, practically laying on top of him in bed. Envy squirms underneath the teenager, but gives up when it seems as though Edward wasn't going to let go any time soon. So the long-haired teenager gets more comfortable from underneath Edward, and wraps his arm around Edward's shoulders.

And soon, after he's finally comfortable and has his eyes closed for sleep, a startled gasp escapes his lips as he feel something wet lick the center of his chest. He quickly looks down, to see Edward smiling, eyes closed, and tongue out. He bites his bottom lip from screaming out in disgust as he watches Edward lick his chest again, and with that God damn smile on his face.

Envy quickly pushes the teenager's head away with a growl. "What the hell are you doing? Are you cleaning me?!" Envy nearly shouts.

Edward merely rolls over and starts to sleep.

Envy looks at the back of Edward's head with a scowl as he rolls onto his other side, peeks over his shoulder at the teen again, before finally turning around and wills his mind to fall asleep.

'His tongue felt good...' Envy thought with startling realization. He shivers at the memory and holds back the over-whelming urge to just flip the teenager over and get him back by licking every inch of his skin.

Don't know what good that'll do him, but it was just a stupid urge to do so.

Instead of following along with those ridiculous thoughts, he closes his eyes and finally falls asleep.

0.o.0.o.0

It's the morning after, and Edward, for the life of him, couldn't seem to quite remember what he had done last night.

He remembers leaving his apartment—God what a stupid decision that was—with Envy. Then they had went into town, drove everywhere on a motorcycle, and from there, that's all his hurting, throbbing, hung-over mind could conjure up.

So he continues to lay in bed, covers thrown over his head as he softly groans to himself. His head seriously did hurt, like he'd been hit in the head by a hammer.

'Experienced that waaay too many times in the past…' Edward thought to himself, a childhood memory starts floating back to his mind.

The first time he got hit in the head by a hammer, was when he and Alphonse were playing in their garage back in Phoenix. Alphonse had pushed him a little too roughly, while they were pretending to be "Super-Ninja's" and he banged into a nearby shelf with his back, where a hammer then fell from above the shelf and had clocked him in the head, and good Goddamn did that ever hurt.

Then the second time he got hit in the head by a hammer was when he—

"Hey brat, push over, and quit hogging all the damn covers!" He hears a lithe voice hiss from beside him.

So he screams in fright, like a girl, and scrambles away from the bed in haste.

He falls on his ass with a loud "thump" on the floor, where he screams once more, for the fact that the noise he made had startle a half-naked Alphonse from his sleep, where the younger Elric then proceeded to shout along with him.

Anf from there on, Edward's life seems to flash before his eyes—and by 'life' he meant all that had happened last night—he and Envy went to a bar called "The Devil's Nest", they started to drink, he remembers walking to the bathroom, and then he remembers Greed, pushing his tongue into his mouth like a savage, pushing their bodies together and grinding, and hearing confused, yet slightly excited, sounding moans coming out of his own mouth, as Greed continued to push his disgusting erection into his own crotch as he starts to pull his sweater off of his head, and leaving him half-naked on the dirty bathroom floor. And that's when the fear started to sink in, Greed almost did it with him on the bathroom floor, Greed almost managed to pull his pants off.

And dear God, he remembers running after that.

Edward holds his head painfully inside his hands and groans louder than before. Screaming certainly didn't help at all with his headache, but it did manage to express his bewilderment and fright at finding Envy sleeping in the exact same bed with him.

"Will you brats shut the hell up? It's only 7 in the morning!" Envy hisses in irritation as he holds a pillow to his head and curses under the blankets thrown haphazardly over his messy bed head in frustration.

"Envy? What the hell are you doing here?" Alphonse shouts from his side of the room as he tries shielding his naked torso from the leering eyes of Envy, that have long been covered by Edward's blankets.

Edward shoots up from the floor at that shocked and bewildered shout from Alphonse—he knew that if his brother was pissed off enough, or scared for that matter, Al would swear, and loud—and a shout from Alphonse would only wake up Hohenhiem, and they would all be graced to see a grouchy morning father, storming into the bedroom, and demanding what the fuck is up with this household.

And Edward definitely didn't want that happening, not now of all times, so shooting up from the floor, he quietly sushed Alphonse by holding a finger to his lips with a glare seen in his golden eyes.

"Not now Alphonse…" Edward whispers, then glares at the mound of blankets, which Envy had placed himself under, as he stalks over to the bed and throws the blankets off in haste.

And he squeaks—or maybe it was a squeal?—at the sight he found underneath his very own blankets.

Envy is seen, only in his dark purple boxers, with his naked back is turned upwards towards Edward's face, with his—surprisingly breath taking legs—revealed.

"Wha'tha fuck brat? It's fucking freezing! Gimme the blankets!" Envy roars as he flips himself over and sits up with a fast lurch with a sour look to his pissed off expression as he grabs hold of the blankets Edward has in his hands.

Edward, still shielding his eyes, shakes his head rapidly as he holds the blankets tighter in his hands, he points towards the door—but it was actually the closet—as he shouts a shaky sounding demand. "Get out of my house before Hohenhiem sees you! And—God I can't believe I'm gotta say this but!—put some damn clothes on first!"

Envy smirks at the shaky sounding demand and lays himself more comfortably on top of Edward's sheets as he props his arm up on the bed, holds his head inside his hand, and lays his free arm over his slender waist. "And why would I do that? I like it here..." He purrs as he smiles sweetly at the blushing Edward.

And the only thing Alphonse did at that statement, was roll his eyes, and passionately at that. "Ed is right, please put on some clothes." Alphonse mutters, ignoring the glare that Envy shot to him and carries on in his sentence. "And can I ask something?" Al pauses, and watches as Edward nods at his request, then continues. "What the flying fuck are you doing here?" Alphonse nearly shouts as he knits his eyebrows together in pure confusion.

The Envy part was confusing, but seeing Edward with his shirt on, but with his pants off, and seeing Envy almost completely naked, is what is getting his mind racing with insufferable, gross, and perplexing thoughts and images, was his brother gay? And gay for Envy at that?

"Alphonse, I know what you're thinking, and seriously? That's disgusting." Edward says from behind his hand as he peeks through two of his fingers to glare at his brother. "But this is not what it looks like, if you really want to know why he's here..." Edward slowly trails off, sighing heavily in disdain as he drops his hands to his sides. "I...Went drinking last night..." He mumbles, averting his eyes to the floor and scratching behind his head uncomfortably.

Then he blinks as he finally notices something different in his clothing. "This isn't my shirt..." He says with realization, he pinches the dark colored fabric between his fingers as he peers curiously at it.

"It's mine, you wouldn't shut up unless I gave it to you last-night." Envy pipes up from inspecting his nails on the bed.

"Why are you even here?!" Edward raises his voice and clenches his hands tightly.

Envy hums under his breath at the question. "I was too tired to drive all the way to the other side of town back to my place, so I just crashed here." He says calmly with a casual shrug of his shoulder as he puts up his hands in the air and sighs heavily in bliss as he stretches out on the bed with a smirk. "Pretty comfortable bed, but you hogged most of the room, and kicked me in the back, twice, with your damn knee." Envy says with a growl and purse of his lips.

Edward bristles at the annoyingly casual façade and points directly at Envy. "Will you shut up? You are NOT making this any better! In fact!" Edward snaps from behind his clenched teeth. "Will you put your pants on and get out of my house before Hohenhiem—"

The door to the Elric brother's room bursts open with a loud slam as a frazzled Hohenhiem comes bounding into the room, bat held tightly in both his hands as he looks furiously around the room. "What's the matter? I heard Alphonse yelling and then I heard you screaming and—" Hohenhiem cuts himself short of that sentence, and stops swishing his bat back and forth through the air as he finally notices a third occupant inside his son's room.

At that exact moment, Edward and Alphonse's back stiffens in fear as they both turn their incredulous expressions to their father's shocked facial expression as they notice their father had locked eyes with Envy.

For the fact that he was almost completely naked, and laying on his older son's bed.

"Not you again." Hohenhiem grumbles as he finally lowers his bat and slings it over his shoulder as he narrows his eyes accusingly at the long-haired boy's face—the same boy who he thought was a girl the first time he met him—so now he can clearly see that he was wrong, because the long-haired teenagers almost entire body was revealed, and he was wearing only his boxers.

He turns his glaring eyes back to his short blonde-haired son.

Who quickly narrows his shocked golden eyes at him, with blazing determination seen scorching his eyes. And Hohenhiem had to give his son credit for not backing down at the obvious displeased glare, and for not turning tail and leaving the first chance he got, but he had to sigh in exasperation at Edward's determination for an argument.

"Son…Edward. What were you doing out so late last night?" Hohenhiem asks, voice calm and steady as he folds his arms over his chest.

Edward flinches at the serious tone of voice his father had, but looks back up to Hohenhiem with shock filling his once determined glare. "How'd you know I snuck out last night?" Edward asks in surprise.

Envy scoffs aloud and rolls over in bed to plant his bare feet onto the floor boards of the bedroom. "You aren't exactly 'stealthy' pipsqueak, your loud, especially that mouth of yours." Envy says with a sneer directed at the red-faced blonde-haired teen. "You were practically yelling last night when I wouldn't give you my shirt." Envy sniffs in defiance as he looks towards Alphonse with a smirk. "I'm just surprised you slept through all the noise brat number 2." Envy says with a dark chuckle.

Alphonse glowers silently and turns his head away with a grumble.

Hohenhiem puts up his hand to silence the on-coming arguments that would most likely, come out of his elder son's mouth, as he pinches the bridge of his nose with his hand and sighs more heavily in exasperation. "Look, Envy—"

Edward and Alphonse both hold their breath, because Envy was just about to get bitched out the door by their father.

"—I'm glad your friends with Edward." Hoheniem says, completely serious.

Making Envy's eyes widen, and Edward's mouth drop.

"But I just gotta make some ground rules here, since this rightfully MY house hold…I have to say that you can't come here, at almost 1 o'clock in the morning for Edward." Hohenhiem starts as he lifts his head and looks at both his son and Envy in determination, as if challenging either of them to pipe up. "And bringing him back home early in the morning, you definitely need to know how to respect both of my son's, and me for that matter. While you're visiting here." Hohenhiem states, looking between three of the teenager, before carrying on. "And secondly, if you plan on staying a night, please sleep on the couch, its big enough to fit five people on it." Hohenhiem states as he thumbs behind his shoulder.

Then with a small reassuring smile stretching across his bearded face as he looks at his puzzled looking son's expressions. "I'm not going to question why he's in your bed." And Hohenhiem almost laughs at Edward's blushing face. "Or the fact that he's almost naked." He mutters, quirking an eyebrow at Envy, who only sticks his tongue out at him as he finishes buckling his belt.

Hohenhiem merely rolls his eyes and looks back to Edward. "But it's good to see you finally made a friend, next time though, if you sneak out again at night," His voice addresses, anger once again hear inside his voice. "You're going to be grounded, for two whole weeks, maybe amonth. And Envy won't be coming here again until I say so. That goes for you too Alphonse, when you make a friend, same rules apply." He announces, his voice and eyes hard.

And Hohenhiem almost daces in a happy little circle when he sees both of his son's nod their head in unison at his speech.

Edward's nod was more reluctant and he was scowling the entire time he talked, but it's good to know that he understands the rules now, before it got too out of hand. And that's all Hohenhiem needed to know that they agreed to his terms and rules.

So Hohenhiem nods his head at his two son's and makes a move towards the door. "I can admit, I'm terrible at cooking, never cooked a damn thing in my life before…" He says with a nervous chuckle as he scratches his mess blonde head. "So for future warning today, I'm going to make an attempt at whipping up some pancakes, if you lot are interested in eating breakfast before going to school then come to the kitchen and eat." He announces with a smile as he grabs and steadies his bat in his hand before turning to look over his shoulder. "Oh! And to pile a warning on top of another one, it wreaks like alcohol in here, I suggest you take a shower, then let Envy use the shower after you, if you both don't want to be kicked out of school for the stench you two are creating.\'

Edward's face heats up in embarrassment and shame.

Envy merely smirks and sniffs idly at his hair.

Hohenhiem shakes his head in exasperation. "And next time, don't go out drinking, especially in L.A Edward." Hohenhiem says, his voice drops to a warning tone as he narrows his eyes at the two older teenagers in the room. "Because I won't hesitate to harm anyone who threatens you boys. Not while I'm here and still alive." And with that little tid-bit of threatening information first thing in the early morning, Hohenhiem closes the door as he exits out the bedroom to make breakfast for his trouble making boys.

Hohenhiem shakes his head with a quiet chuckle slipping past his lips.'He's exactly like me when I was his age.' Hohenhiem smiles at the thought, then scratches his bearded chin. "Hopefully he has more brains than I ever did at that age." He says, pursing his lips sourly at the fresh thought.

Back in the Elric brother's room, they all stare at the door in silence.

"Did your dad just threaten me?" Envy pipes up as he glares at the door with malice, he hopes that if he stares long and hard enough, the door would burst into flames and hit Hohenhiem right in his head.

Edward sighs and puts a hand to his hip. "He did…What makes him think I'll listen to him?" He grumbles.

Alphonse scowls at his brother's statement. "You heard him Edward, we are the ones that live in this apartment with him, he is our dad, and he has a good reason to be protective…He made a good point too…This is L.A Ed, more people in this city than our last home in Phoenix." Alphonse states, slowly he plants both his feet on the cold floor boards and hops out of bed to crack his back. "Besides, he needs our help, he can't cook, so I'll teach him." He says with a smile as he slips into his baggy sweat shirt and walks towards the door.

Only to wrinkle his nose at the sudden repulsive smell he caught lingering in the air and gags at the familiar scent. "Dad's right, you guys stink like alcohol, please do me a favor and bathe." He says over his shoulder with a smirk.

"Shut up you damn know it all!" Edward snaps.

Envy tosses him a pillow, which Edward catches in mid-flight as he throws it at his brother, who only dodges the pillow with a mad laugh as he dashes out the door and slams it behind him.

Envy sniffs in offence and buckles his pants, finally satisfied with his jeans. "Both of your family members talk too much." He mumbles. "I never get this kind of shit at my place, usually I wake up with arguing and shouting from my foster parents, as my little brother Wrath throws shit around in my room, and Greed bitching at me inside my own room...Tch! Should've just took you to my place, just so you can see first-hand what I'm talking about." Envy states, glaring at the floor in disdain.

Edward raises an eyebrow at the suddenly chatty sounding Envy, but says nothing after that, instead he peels out of Envy's shirt and hands it back to the long-haired teenager as he plucks his own shirt from the headboard of his black bed frame.

But then he heard something interesting out of that sentence.

"You have a little brother? Didn't know that…" Edward mumbles with a small hidden smile. "And your house sounds delightful." he announces more sarcastically. "Such a beautiful family bond happening there." Edward halfheartedly jokes, but he couldn't help but feel slightly bad about Envy's home-life, and he had to continue living in that crazy house until he's the legal age to move out.

And that fact that he has to live with someone like Greed.

That guy just thoroughly creep's him the hell out…And that just went up ten-fold from what he remembered from last night…Oh God he just realized something…That was his first kiss!

Now suddenly embarrassed, and disgusted.

Edward holds his face in his hands after successfully pulling on his shirt and starts to whine loudly into both his hands. "Fuuuuuck...It's gonna be fucking shitty going to school..." He groans loudly as he slaps both his hands to his sides and growls lowly inside his throat. "Damn it." He mumbles.

Envy raises an eyebrow as he pulls his own shirt over his head. "What's eatin' you shrimp?"

"I'm not a shrimp! And it's nothing!" Edward snaps defensively, he glares directly at Envy and turns on his heel to exit his room. "You can have the shower, there's already clean towels in the bathroom, just don't take half and hour!" He shouts his warning over his shoulder. "Other smelly people have to use it too!" Edward informs with a scowl pressed firm on his facial expression as he opens his bedroom door and leaves it open wide as he stomps his way down the hallway and heads straight for the kitchen, grumbling like an old man the entire time.

'I have to keep that kiss…Thing…A secret…' Edward thought with a light blush dusting across his cheeks. 'No one should EVER find out about that…So that means I have to do something about it before word gets out…And...Oh fuck me...' Edward bemoans inside his head at the thought. 'I have to talk to Greed today…He probably won't talk to me after what did, or at least, what I think I did to him...Did I sack him? Or was that just a delightfully satisfying dream?' Edward thought, then shrugs uncaring. 'Oh well…Greed probably won't forgive me easily after that though, but I should bribe him anyways, and try to convince him to NOT tell other people about what happened at the Devil's Nest... Yeah, I could do that, I just have to get over the embarrassment, and face him like a man.' Now suddenly determined for the day, he cracks his knuckles and storms into the kitchen with a blazing determination seen raging wildly inside his smoldering golden eyes.

Behind him, Envy could only roll his eyes passionately at the angry short teenager as he looks back behind him and out towards the balcony door's. He watches in slight interest as the last of the sun's rays peeks out from behind the tallest building before him, and bathes the entire room with a warm orange glow.

"Wonder what their thinking about, they probably don't even notice me not home." Envy says with a scowl as he glares heatedly at the sun, as though it was the suns fault for his family being major pricks. He turns on his heel and heads straight for the bedroom door. His family never gave two shits about him, so what could possibly change that? He knew the answer. Nothing could change them. That's why he stopped caring a long time ago.

So yeah...I saw some mistakes and went through most of them, so...yeah lol I tried!
