A kid...at Stark Industries?

"Ok, what color?" Tony asked, holding up two different ties to his chest.

Jenny thought for a minute. "That one." she pointed at the green tie.

"My thoughts exactly." Tony quickly put in on. He grabbed his jacket and took one last look in the mirror.

"Ready?" he asked as he picked up Jenny. She nodded eagerly. Tony chuckled at kissed her cheek. Pepper dressed her in a little green dress and tied her hair back with a bright red ribbon tied in a bow. Not very business-like but at the same time, she was only four, it wasn't like anyone expected her to actually look like a businesswoman.

Tony carried her down to the car and strapped her in before climbing into the front seat and starting the engine.

"Remember, when you walk into the room with the people in black suits-" he started

"I keep quiet." Jenny finished.

Tony smirked. He knew she would be good but he didn't know how the board of directors would react. Tess had called the night before to inform him that she couldn't babysit Jenny today so she was coming to work with him.

When they arrived, he noticed Jenny looking very edgy. He shrugged it off and led her inside.

Jenny was immediately the center of attention. Nearly everyone stopped to say hi, or comment on how adorable she was, someone even offered to baby-sit.

He said nothing but quickly walked into his office. He sat down at his desk and pulled out his paper work, Jenny climbed into his lap. He didn't care, it wasn't like she was in the way.

There was a knock at the door.

"Come in." he said, not bothering to look to see who it was.

"Wow. You're actually doing work for a change."

"I always do my work, Pepper."

"Yeah right." she mumbled with a smirk.

"I heard that."

Pepper shook her head. "So, where's Jenny?"

"Right here." he turned in his deak chair to reveal Jenny sitting on his lap.

"Hi Pepper." Jenny said.

"Hi Jenny. Can you give me and your daddy a minute to talk?"

She jumped down from Tony's lap and walked away.

"Tony, we have a meeting in about an hour. And not a lot of people are uncomfortable with the fact that Jenny may have to attend."

"She's a little kid. What are they afraid of?"

"Their not afraid of anything. They just don't want her there."

"Well tell them that's too bad. I can't just leave her on my office. She'll get scared."

"Tell that to the board of directors." Pepper said as she turned to leave

"Maybe I will. They have no right to tell me I can't bring my kid. It's my company."

"Ok. But don't make this any worse than it already is." she left his office.

Tony went back to work. Jenny was sitting on the sofa watching t.v. It would keep her occupied so he could get some work done. He only wished she could stay here until the meeting was over. He knew that wasn't an option.

He walked into the room where the board of directors were waiting with Jenny in his arms. They looked with disapproval as he set her down in one of the leather chairs and gave her his Stark phone to play with.

Jenny seemed completely unfazed by their stares and whispers. Tony tried his best to ignore it while Pepper went on with her presentation. A smirk grew on his lips when he saw her fumbling with her laptop. He forgot to tell her that Jenny had gotten a hold of it and pretty much deleted her whole presentation. He wondered how long it would take her to realize it.

When the meeting was over, Tony led Jenny back to his office and laid her on the couch for a nap. He pulled out his sketchbook and started on a new design for his robots when he heard the rapid clicking of heels in the hallway. The door flew open and Pepper stormed in, slamming the door shut behind her.

"You want to explain yourself?"

Tony didn't look up. "What are you talking about Pepper?"

"I'm talking about my laptop. I couldn't find anything on it! Do you have any idea how embarrassing that was!?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. Jenny got a hold of it." Tony said simply.

"Oh" Pepper's expression softened. She shrugged and turned to leave.

"You're letting her off that easy?"

"Tony, she is four. I would expect her to do something like this." with that, she left.

A few days later, Pepper saw what Tony was talking about. She was chatting on the phone when she felt Jenny pulling on her skirt. Assuming she wanted to be held, Pepper reached down and pulled her onto her lap. Now with easy access, Jenny reached for Pepper's laptop.

Pepper, now seeing where this was going, simply pushed it out of reach. Jenny gave her a glare and tried to lean over to reach it. Pepper pulled her back and set her down on the floor, causing Jenny to complain.

Pepper rolled her eyes. She needed peace and quiet before she made another phone call. She picked up Jenny and carried her down to the garage to be with Tony.

He immediately dropped what he was working on and whirled around when he heard Jenny's screams.

"What'd you do to her?" Tony asked as he took Jenny.

"She wanted to mess up my laptop again. But I didn't let her." Pepper said simply.

Tony chuckled. "Might want to keep it out of her reach."

"Thanks. I'll keep that in mind." Pepper walked out of the garage leaving Tony with his screaming four-year-old.

"Jenny, what is the matter?" Tony said as he set her down on the couch.

"Pepper's mean!" she spat.

"Why? Because she wouldn't let you play on her computer?"

Jenny nodded.

Tony chuckled and wiped away her tears. "Well, Pepper needs her computer right now. Maybe you can play on it later? Ok?"

Jenny sighed. "Ok."

"That's my girl." Tony walked back to his workshop and Jenny kept herself occupied by watching t.v.

Tony was working on a new missle. He wanted to make something that the army would need. Guns and grenades were a thing of the past. He needed something bigger.

He was shaken from his thoughts by the sound of Jenny squealing.

"Daddy! Daddy! Look, I'm on t.v.!" Jenny said excitedly.

Tony rushed over to see what she was talking about.

It was from that morning, Tony was taking Jenny to work with him. Now, the media was going crazy! He should have known better that to take her out. He was surprised that no one had shown up at the house yet. He was sure Pepper had some part in that.

Jenny was excited to see herself on t.v. Tony decided to let her have her fun. She obviously loved the attention
