Wow how long has it been right? Oh gosh yeah I'm sooooooooooo sorry! I didn't have internet or a computer for ages plus assignments and urgh it's been stressful to say the least (this is all excluding family and stuff). Thank you so much to the people that reviewed this. I know I've let you guys down. My lateness is appalling! I'm going to be quiet this instant and let's get on with this story shall we

ZERO

The room I'm sitting in is dark. That's the only word to describe it. The shadows are threatening t consume me in their gloom. Although, I may already be there... The car ride was done in a painful silence. The cuffs on my wrists rub against my skin making it raw. I haven't said a single word since being shoved in the back of a car. They won't get anything out f me. The interrogation will be starting soon. They're watching me, from behind the one glass and they want me to know they are. I roll my eyes and stare right back at them. I'll tell them a bit, but only the bare minimum. Will the others come for me? Could they even get in here? What about Mr. Soper is he trying to free me?

My thoughts are interrupted as Vin's parents, June and Robert enter. Their faces are blank of course. I sigh and lean back in my seat. I'm going to have a headache after this.

"Zero. I'm guessing you know how this goes. We'll ask questions and you will answer them. Simple do you agree?" June, Vin's mum says.

"Yes," I grumble.

"Okay let's get this over with. Is your name really Zero?" Robert asks.

I tense up. How in hell did they discover that? Sure they're CIA offices but…no wait that explains a lot of things. I avert their eyes. There's no way they're going to get that out of me. Obviously sensing this Robert shifts slightly in his seat.

"Zero, we need you to corporate, please,"

"Why won't you let Vin see me anymore?" I snap.

Where the hell did that come from? Idiot!

"It's not you personally; it's your relations with others. Your father to be more specific."

My head jolts up. Oh god they know. My fingers instantly move to my pocket, where the gold coin is concealed. That was yet again another stupid move on my part. June springs into action at an alarming pace. She's on top of me, pegging me to the ground. I fight back instinctively. The only difference is that she's a trained CIA field officer who's twice my height. I kick her legs and elbow her in the gut a few times but if it affected her she doesn't show any sign that it did what so ever. When the pressure from June's body lifts I scramble to my feet only to be shoved back into the chair opened mouthed. They've got the coin. Oh god, oh god! My dad is going to kill me, literally!

"No, please, please, don't give it back, PLEASE!"

I sound pathetic, but if I have to degrade myself to protect my friends and myself then I'm willing to do anything.

"This is from your father isn't it?" June asks.

"Why is it so important?" Robert says his voice rising.

"Have you been helping him as an accomplice?"

"Come on answer us this is serious!"

"You're father is dangerous."

"We need him behind bars."

"Where did the coin come from?"

"Is this part of the stash?"

"Which country did it come from?"

My head hurts. The questions are coming to fast. They're yelling at me again. Dad is yelling at me again. I can't take it.

"Look at us!"

"This isn't a game you know?"

I know, I know! I'm not a child. He's never understood that. Why can't he ever just be quiet? He's going to bash me again. It's coming. I've got to brace myself.

"When did he give you the coin?"

"Was there anyone else with him?"

"Do you know where he is living?"

"When was the last time you saw your father?"

"Can you give us a description?"

"Come on, you need to focus."

"A lot is at stake."

"Listen to us."

"You haven't answered a single question yet."

"Zero!"

"NO!" I scream.

Then finally there's silence as I land on the floor on my knees.

VIN

I'm in a panic. I'm not denying anything. We have to find Zero. That's why we are currently standing in my parents study. Trixie is rummaging through the filing cabinet while Newton is trying to hack into the laptop. I've got the desk and all it's jumble of papers.

"Hey Vin, what's the password?" Newton calls.

"I don't know. It's their work laptop."

"Well then we have a problem. If I try to over right it the laptop will instantly shut down and wont reboot for another five hours."

"Try Vin," Trixie says.

"What? I'm terrible at computers how-"

"No I'm mean your name as the password,"

"Oh good idea Trix,"

We wait as Newton hits the enter button. The words incorrect password flash on the screen.

"How many attempts do we have?" I ask.

"Five, by the looks of it. Ok let's try your birthday then."

Newton hits the enter button for a second time and this time it goes straight to the desk top.

"Alright, sweet. Now we just have to find out where the CIA is located." I say.

We wait and wait and wait. I'm soon going to create a hole in the floor from all my pacing. It's been only five minutes but I can't stand still. I lean over Newton's shoulder. I can't understand what I'm looking at. It's just a bunch of number ands file. What I can tell is the look on his face means that he hasn't found anything yet.

"Anything?" I whisper, dreading the answer.

"No, there's nothing here. Well that's not correct. There are probably loads of files I just cant get into them. I'm sorry Vin. We're going to have to find Zero another way…"

"Wait!" Trixie yells, standing up straight her eyes gleaming, "Vin, call your parents."

"Huh?"

"We can trace the call! They have a machine that can do that I just found it. Then we can find their location and hopefully Zero too,"

I run up to Trixie and hug her, "Have I ever told you that I love your brilliant mind?"

"Mention it a bit more and I will through in a chocolate too," She smirks.

I punch in the numbers of my dad's phone then hold it up to my ear. Trixie and Newton begin to trace the call. I cross my fingers and squeeze my eyes closed tight.

"Hello?"

I gulp; this was going to be the most awkwardness conversation ever.

ZERO

I can't take it anymore. My head is throbbing, the cut on the back of it not properly healed. I'm on my knees clutching at my head with both hands. I'm weak, I'm weak. I'm no good my dad was right. Isn't he always? They've stopped the voices that were yelling at me. I know it was June and Robert, but in my mind it was my father. Beep, beep, beep.

I look up startled along with both of Vin's parents. June cocks an eyebrow at her husband as he answers the phone without taking his eyes off me.

"Hello?"

Pause. He faces morphs into one of surprise.

"Vin! What are you doing? This isn't the best time son."

I strain my ears and I can faintly make out the boy I love voice.

"I know I just…I just wanted to say sorry. I know I'm not the best son it's just that…Oh I'm sorry,"

Alarmed, Robert's face softens and he beckons towards his wife to come over.

"Of course you're a brilliant son, we couldn't ask for a better one,"

"You don't like my friends though," Vin whimpers.

I've got to hand it to him he's a fabulous actor.

"Vin, is this about Zero?" June asks into the phone.

"Yeah…it is. She's my best friend mum and dad. Why don't you like her?"

"We're doing this for your protection. It's not Zero herself. It's more the people she's been and still is associated with," Robert sighs pinching the bridge of his nose.

"When will I be able to see her again?"

"It all depends, sweetie," June whispers, shooting a glance at me.

"Right, whatever then. I can tell you're busy. I will let you go then…just don't do anything bad to her okay? Bye,"

With that he hangs up. Robert looks at June for a long moment before putting his phone away after it's switched off and returns to his seat. I too climb back into my seat, the concrete floor having been uncomfortable. Then the questions start up again. I refuse all of them. Minutes seem to go by in cement. I'm cracking. I don't know how but I am. I've given up. What's the point now? Maybe if I tell these people then they will protect Trixie, Newton and Vin fro, my father. I know they won't protect me though. No one ever does. I can just take care of myself, that's what everyone thinks because that's what I want them to.

It's back to the beginning now. They're asking about my name again. You know what, I don't give a damn anymore. I just want it to end. I stand up abruptly drawing with me silence.

"Nothing! My name is Nothing!"

I look up panting and freeze as dread sucks the energy from me. My three best friends are standing in the doorway, mouths gaping open. What have I done?

Yay cliff hanger and then...the big reveal is up next so stay tuned! Once again so so so so ect sorry for my rude lateness won't happen again (maybe) and thanks for sticking with me and this story I know it must have been hard. See yo all again another time :D
