Star's Keyblade4114: It could've been worse.
Enjoy the next chapter.
The Butterfly family and Marco sat at the table in the dining hall, eating in silence while Marco glared at Star's parents with narrowed eyes. The two rulers looked up at the unwelcomed guest and Moon cleared her throat, "You know, boy, it's quite rude to stare and-"
"And it's rude to orphan a kid for six years and you murder his parents in front of him," Marco smirked and shook his head, "So queenie, you are correct, it is rude to stare, but after killing my parents, you have no room to talk,"
"Now see here-"
"No, you see here, old man!" Marco snapped, slamming his hands on the surface of the table, "I'm going to prove to the entire kingdom that the Butterfly family consist of nothing but a bunch of yellowbelly cowards! You go around, acting all high and mighty, killing anyone you feeling like, thinking no one will stand up to you because you're the royal family, well you're wrong!"
"Marco-"
"What?" Marco snapped and looked at Star, causing her to jump, "You proved my point earlier, princess! You were going to kill me earlier because of a simple dispute between myself and your parents!"
"No…I wasn't," Marco narrowed his eyes and Star took a deep breath and shook her head, "Look…I wasn't going to kill you, not after helping me in the forest. I don't know rather you are telling the truth or what, but…I'm trying to be nice and I invited you to stay in the castle, to get you away from the forest and possibly get you a warm bed, but we can't have you argue with my parents and-"
"Whatever," Marco stood up and began walking away from the table, "I don't care if it's rude or what, but I'm turning in early." Star watched as he walked away and her parents glared at him with narrowed eyes.
Marco sat on the windowsill, staring out at the forest as the sun began to set. Hearing the door creak open, he looked back and saw Star stepping into the room, "We need to talk," Marco scuffed, rolled his eyes, crossed his arms and looked out at the forest again, "Listen, I don't know if what you said about my parents is true or not, but-"
"But what? You believe they wouldn't do something like that, that's fine, they're your parents, but that damned day burns in the back of my mind…I still remember what I was doing that led up to that execution,"
Star sighed and walked over to him, "I'm not apologizing, and I don't expect one. I know how the royal family acts,"
"And how do you know how we act? You've been in the Forest of Certain Death for two-"
"And I've been sneaking in and out of the kingdom during those two years. I've seen how people are treated, it's disgusting,"
"And I have no part of that, or your parents death," Marco growled and shook his head, "Maybe inviting you was a bad idea, but-"
"Like I said, I'm not apologizing."
"And I don't expect you to," Star stepped closer to the troubled teen, "I don't know what you're going through, I don't know what you've been through, but-"
"I can't go back to the forest, your mother already knows where I've been staying and she'll gladly leave the castle and come and kill me." Marco stood up and walked past Star, "I'm going to walk around the castle, and I'd like to be alone," Star frowned as Marco walked out of the room and closed the door behind him.
I have to cut this one here because I'm stuck babysitting for like the millionth time this week. Please enjoy everyone and please let me know what you all think.
