Chapter 9

"She's trouble" Ginny's words stayed with Hagrid after he met Dolores Umbridge because he knew they were right on the mark the woman was evil, not Voldemort evil, but evil enough. She was trying to tear the school apart and she was succeeding. That's why everyone was walking on glass, he had told everyone not to risk sneaking down to his cabin even Ginny, and it was killing him. He hadn't seen her outside his class, he hadn't held her, and the longer their separation lasted the more he missed her.

"She misses you too" thought Hagrid seeing her longing in her eyes every time their eyes met, and that longing was why he didn't send her away when she did appear at his door.

She appeared at his door as he was sitting by the fire Fang at his feet. She just happened to be on his mind when that knock came, but not at the front door. It came from the backdoor making him instantly suspicious; no one ever knocked on that door they usually just snuck out of it.

"Ginny!" exclaimed Hagrid when he opened the door to see her standing there her name leaving his lips louder then he meant it to his heart clenching as she stood there waiting for him to invite her in rushing in when he finally nodded his head for him to her.

"Ginny—" began Hagrid before she stopped him.

"I know…I shouldn't be here—I had to risk it" whispered Ginny her eyes raking over him both filled with worry and longing.

Hagrid smiled gently at her. He had missed her too, had been missing her before and since his return, and touching her face he hesitated. Their eyes met and after a moment of silence Ginny gasped as he pulled her forward their bodies colliding. He felt her sigh as he embraced her and sighing too, Hagrid felt something akin to the peace he had been hoping for. She was willing to risk it all for him and Hagrid was willing to do the same for her.

"I love you, Ginny—I've missed this, missed you" whispered Hagrid holding her face in his hands basking in having her so close again. Ginny responded immediately seeking out his lips to kiss him. Hagrid found himself leaning in close to her kiss realizing something he had known all this time. He had missed kissing her. Wanted to kiss her more then anything in had ever longed to do, but then her hand touched his face. Right there, where a new bruise was making itself known, and groaning, Hagrid found himself suddenly leaning away from the touch he had longed for.

That was when Ginny let her eyes truly look at him, he was covered in bruises, some healed from when he had been away, others very new.

"Hagrid—what—who did this. These can't all be from when you were away" said Ginny her voice rising louder then either of them wanted as she moved to touch his face again only to have him shush her and lean away. He didn't just lean away though, he turned away altogether, and that alone broke Ginny's heart. That was why she grabbed his arm turning him with all her strength to face her. He could turn away from a lot of people, but not her. He had to know that, and he did as he stood there staring at her.

"Hagrid—who did this—these are too new to be from your trip" said Ginny making him look at her. Hagrid wanted to tell her the truth in that moment, he wanted to take her to the woods to show her the truth, but something stopped him. That being that he didn't want to put her in danger and he really didn't know how she'd react. Looking at her though, he saw her love for him as well as her concern. It warmed him even as it made him feel guilt for hiding something from her.

He wanted to take her to the woods and show her but stopped himself. Hagrid only stepped closer to her taking her into his arms again. They joined hands and looking into the worried gaze that was her eyes, Hagrid drew her close to gently kiss her. Her lips were warm and smooth just like warm honey just like he loved them to be.

"Stop worrying about me—I'd tell you if I wasn't fine, but I am" whispered Hagrid seeing the flames in her eyes ignite as she moved to argue. Hagrid tugged her into silence though his lips covering hers almost in a conspiracy that Ginny found she enjoyed. She hadn't come here to argue or worry, there was enough of that in the world, and leaning close Ginny decided to let him win.

"We can argue later" said Hagrid as if reading her thoughts making her soften more before she smiled. Hagrid still held her hands in his and using them he pulled her to sit with him in his chair groaning as she straddled him. He had missed seeing in there too. Ginny sat straddling him her hands on his chest as she covered him in kisses.

"I didn't mean to start an argument—I was just…I was worried" whispered Ginny feeling as if she needed to explain herself. She stopped though seeing immediately that with him she didn't need to. Hagrid would never need an explanation and it warmed her as she leaned close to kiss him. Hagrid felt as she intertwined their fingers her face mere inches from his and looking into her eyes, he saw something, a heavy emotion that she had been carrying around with her.

"Madame Maxine came back, but you didn't. People kept saying you were dead…I didn't know…I couldn't know" exclaimed Ginny her eyes becoming misty as she spoke making him stop her.

"Ginny" Hagrid said her name softly as he brought his hand to touch her face holding it in the palm of his hand. He thought about those weeks when he had been gone, he had thought about her, but he hadn't thought about what his disappearance would do to her.

He was supposed to be on the platform when she got off that train. Hagrid felt guilty, he had said to her before he left that he would be on the platform, but he hadn't been. He had let her down. He couldn't imagine the worry, the tears and pain, she had experienced in his absence. Thinking of it only made him draw her closer. Hagrid felt overwhelmed by the guilt and emotions running through his heart, so much so that he kissed her so urgently, Ginny thought she would stop breathing. His lips crashed against hers, they moved slowly yet fast as they seemed to sob into her mouth as the kiss deepened, and Ginny found herself responding in kind. Ginny felt as if she was home as she wrapped herself around him. She couldn't deny him, nor did she want to as she moaned her fingers curling into his beard. They slowly moved to his shoulders as she ground her sex against his feeling as he hardened beneath her making their kiss more desperate. As her hands moved over him, Hagrid's were not idle, but moving as well. They started at the back of her legs using their hold there to spread her legs wider. They then rose higher until grabbing her ass he hiked her up on his lap making her gasp. He was as hard as he could get, Ginny knew that as she ground into him more then grabbing his erection from inside his pants suddenly making him growl. They wanted the same thing, to go to his bed, and make love. They both knew that if they kept this up that would be where they were going.

However, she wasn't expecting him to stand with her still in his arms; it made their lips part and their eyes meet.

"Ginny—I need you—I have needed you since I got back" growled Hagrid hoisting her higher around his waist. Their eyes stared desperately, and Ginny nodded needing him the same way he needed her. They had been deprived of each other and now was the time for that to come to an end.

"Take me to that bed before that woman knocks on the door like last time" whispered Ginny her breathing heavy as he captured her lips taking her away.
