Before you all kill me, I KNOW I KNOW. It's been over a year D:

I have no excuse other than I had a lot going on. I started university, moved away from home, made NO friends at uni which sucked, dropped out of uni, moved back home, got a job, got diagnosed with a foot problem, quit my job, and just started my new job.

Phew.

And I also fell in love with my best friend (yippeee), so I can relate to writing this more now ;D

Anyways, here's the next chapter and I promise to update more often from now on. Thank you so much for all of the reviews I've recieved. I do appreciate all of you :)

Blushing

James came stumbling downstairs looking very green in the face, and ran towards Remus as soon as he spotted him. Remus felt a little confused as James stopped right in front of him and grimaced.

"Sirius didn't know-" he panted, clutching at his side to catch his breath. "He didn't know I was in the room, when he-"

Remus raised his eyebrows, wondering if this conversation was going where he thought it was going. The disgusted look on James's face told him that Sirius had indeed gone upstairs to cool off, and poor James had been witness to it.

Merlin, lucky James, Remus thought guiltily.

"It was so disturbing," James whined, looking as though he wanted to puke. "What did you do to him to get him like that? Merlin, I'll never be able to get that out of my head."

"I was being irresistible," Remus said with an innocent shrug. "Like you told me to. Didn't know it would have that effect on him." Remus grinned at the fact that he had turned Sirius on. And he didn't just turn him on, he turned him on big time.

James whacked his arm and narrowed his eyes. "Stop grinning. I just saw my best mate wanking to the thought of my other best mate. Ewww."

"Lucky you," Remus said before he could stop himself. He blushed and looked at the floor. "I er, didn't mean that-"

"-Who would have guessed that Remus Lupin was a pervert?" James said, looking amused. "He looks so innocent, but he's dying to watch Sirius Black lying in bed-"

"-SHUT UP!" Remus hissed, looking around to make sure nobody had heard. "Merlin, keep your voice down if you're going to mention anything about my you-know-what on Sirius."

"Your you-know-what?" James asked.

Remus rolled his eyes and leaned closer to James, whispering, "my crush."

James snorted and shook his head. "Fine," he said. "By the way, did you get my cloak back?"

Remus bit his lip. "Oh, I completely forgot. I'll go get it now."

He walked towards the other side of the room, where he could see Lily reading a book on the sofa in front of the fire. He cleared his throat and sat down next to her. She put her book down and turned her attention to Remus.

"What's up with you?" Lily asked, looking at Remus's messy hair and clothes. He quickly buttoned his shirt back up and tried to fix his hair.

"I was turning Sirius on," he whispered, going red again. Oh, how he hated his blush. Lily laughed a little and smiled.

"I'm glad you're coming to terms with it more," she said. "Though I don't know if you've heard-" she said, looking uncomfortable.

"-He's going out with Marlene," Remus finished, his heart dropping. "Yeah, I know. I'm trying to make him realise he loves me."

"Do you think he does?"

"I have my suspicions," Remus said, thinking back to the almost-kisses. "He tried to kiss me twice."

Lily's eyes widened and she grinned. "That's wonderful! Why's he with Marlene?"

"James thinks it's because he's in denial, and he's trying to convince himself that he's not into me," Remus said, smiling.

"Potter knows?" Lily asked, looking impressed. "He knows and he's not being mean about it?"

"James isn't like that. He's a really good person, and an amazing friend. I know you may think otherwise, but he really is. And I also know that if you gave him a chance, you would realise how much you've been underestimating him all this time," Remus said. He watched Lily's expression change as she thought about this.

"You think I should give Potter a chance?" she asked, raising her eyebrows doubtfully.

"I'm not telling you that you should," Remus said quickly. "But I'm friends with both of you, and I can honestly say that I think you'd make each other happy."

Lily glanced at James and then smiled a little. "He's not bad looking," she admitted. "And I suppose I don't know him properly, so I should give him a chance."

Remus grinned. "Ask him out for Valentine's Day," he said.

"I don't know, Remus."

"Please?"

"If I do, you must promise to make Sirius realise he loves you," Lily said. "Because I want you to be happy too."

Remus nodded quickly. He was dying to see James's reaction when Lily asked him out. He felt proud of himself.

"Oh," he said. "Can I have James's cloak back, please?"

Lily shook her head. "I'll give it to him when I ask him out," she said, standing up and heading towards him. When James saw her, he straightened up immediately and ruffled his hair up, a grin plastered on his face.

Remus smiled at the soon-to-be couple and decided to go upstairs to see Sirius. He really hoped that Sirius wasn't finished with his... a hem...

He tried to put the idea out of his mind. He cautiously opened the door to the dormitory and peered inside, seeing Sirius slouched on the edge of his bed with his head in his hands.

Remus quietly stepped into the room, and closed the door behind him, glancing at Sirius and walking towards him hesitantly.

Sirius looked up at the sound of Remus's footsteps and smiled weakly at him.

"You okay?" Remus asked, taking a seat next to him.

Sirius frowned again and looked down at his hands. "I don't know," he said. "I honestly don't know."

"Is this about James seeing you cool off?"

Sirius's eyes widened and he stared at Remus in alarm. "WHAT?"

Remus bit his lip and tried not to laugh. "Nothing," he said quickly.

Sirius narrowed his eyes. "Tell me..."

"Well," Remus said awkwardly. "Er, when you rushed upstairs to... you know... er, James was in here."

Sirius's face turned a very bright red and he put his face in his hands again. "Merlin."

"It's okay, he'll forget about it," Remus said, grinning. "I've got Lily to ask him out."

Sirius sat up straight, looking flabbergasted. "You're joking."

Remus's grin got bigger. "Nope," he said proudly.

"You're a bloody god," Sirius said, clapping Remus on the back. "He'll be over the moon."

"Yeah, he will," Remus replied, sighing. Why couldn't he be over the moon?

"Remus, I'm sorry," Sirius said, his voice serious again. He stared into Remus's eyes with sadness. "The things I said to you earlier were horrible, and they probably made you feel like crap."

Remus decided not to nod.

"I'm finding it difficult," Sirius admitted. "I'm having all of these feelings for you right now and I just don't understand them."

"It's okay," Remus said softly, trying to hide his excitement. "Take as much time as you need."

Sirius rolled his eyes at Remus and placed his hand on his knee, making Remus's breath catch in his throat. Sirius was touching him. Touching him. He really hoped that the touch wouldn't have a physical effect on him.

"Why are you so damned sexy?" Sirius breathed, laughing slightly. Remus blushed.

"I'm not."

"You are!" Sirius insisted. "Look at you sitting there, looking all irresistible."

"I'm not," Remus repeated with a shy smile. It was impossible not to smile when Sirius was calling him sexy.

"Remus," Sirius whispered, leaning closer to him. "I don't want to be with McKinnon."

"I don't want you to be with her either," Remus admitted, not feeling one bit guilty. Sirius smiled.

"I guessed so," he said. "How did you, you know? Come to terms with it?"

"With what?"

"Being gay," Sirius said, looking ashamed. "I don't understand it."

"You don't know you are gay," Remus said quietly.

"I know I'm having all these crazy feelings for you, and that right now I'm using every bit of strength to stop myself from attacking you because you look so fuckable," Sirius said with wide eyes.

Remus's blush was back once again, but this time to a new level. He felt like his face was on fire. Fuckable? Remus grinned and put his hands on his cheeks to try and make the blush disappear.

"Jeez," Sirius said. "I'm gay."

"It's okay," Remus said.

"Why does my stomach feel like it's full of butterflies when I look at you?" Sirius asked.

Remus's heart was hammering. "Mine does when I look at you," he said.

Sirius cleared his throat and stood up. He smiled down at Remus and then went down on one knee. Remus tried not to grin as Sirius took his hand and stared up into his eyes.

"Remus Lupin," Sirius said.

"Yes?"

"Will you go to Hogsmeade with me tomorrow as my date?"

Remus felt like his world was spinning and spinning, and it was such a good feeling. It didn't feel real, but Sirius was right there. Remus could see him, hear him, feel him. He was right there in front of him asking him out and it was completely real.

Remus sighed and pulled Sirius's hand up to his face. "Yes", he said, planting a kiss on Sirius's hand.
