A/N: Filler chapter! There's a bit too much angst and drama here. So to lighten the mood, I'm doing this from the perspective of Pixelated Maiden. Right now, the two characters I know the best are Pixel and Yoko so why not? And just because this is filler, doesn't mean it didn't happen, btw; it did, and it's just not important at all to be written about but is being written about anyway.
I woke up on a couple of mounds of flesh and stretched, clawing the left mound. They were squishy and caused pained sounds from the owner, my slave's little pet, Yoko. I did not approve of the pet he had but oh well, it's not like he understood my angry remarks about her. Where was Kagemori anyway? I thought I sent him out to get me more food? It never takes him this long. Oh well.
I jumped off the bed Yoko was on and proceeded to lick myself very thoroughly, feeling dirty after sleeping on her. She had the guts to sit up and glare at me for it, she should feel honored I decided to sleep on her and not the over-sized dog. I glared at her when I was finished then headed downstairs to look for my litter box.
Oh come on! She was following me now. I felt I should take my sweet time, to teach her a lesson about following me. Every time she tried to step on me for it I darted ahead a bit and any attempts to walk around me were foiled. She sounded annoyed which served her right. Stupid human.
I found my litter box and did my business and did a lot more scratching than necessary and it tired me out. I went searching for a spot to lie down.
Hotels are supposed to be comfy, right? So where are the cardboard boxes? And the scratching posts? I sighed, not finding what I wanted.
I found a semi-open door and peeked in to see one of the guys who took me here. What was his name… well, he seemed to get along with Yoko, maybe that was her mate? He looked like a good sturdy mate for someone like her, she'd be lucky to get his seed really considering how bad her genetics seemed to be, the least she could manage is offspring that'd be perfectly fine to repay nature for all the oxygen she stole from it.
I hopped into his lap and he seemed happy about it and so I started purring as he patted me. He clearly understood that I am a queen. He started scratching my chin and I purred louder, tilting my head up so he could get to it easier and my tail swayed in delight as he did so.
Then there was a knock at the door. "Come in," the male said.
And so the source of the knocking came in. Yoko. I glared challengingly at her.
"Kyousuke, I was thinking… can we cut Alejandro up for zombie bait?" she asked.
Kyousuke! That was what the annoying brat's ideal mate's name!
"No, we can't," Kyousuke said sternly to the female human.
Yoko started pouting and I heard a growl of some sort.
I was now bored so I hopped off Kyousuke's lap and went elsewhere.
I soon found myself near a body of water in a very warm room and Picard was swimming in it and seemed to be having a blast. He also looked happy to see me, as always.
He soon climbed clumsily out of the water and shook his fur off before running towards me with that goofy smile of his. He licked me a couple of times before I started batting at him. I didn't like being licked by others.
This sadly, started a fight that ended with me in the water, hissing angrily. As if to add to my anger, Picard jumped back in, splashing me with the water as he did so. At least it was warm. I slowly swam to the best of my abilities to the side before scrambling to climb out, only to fall back in. I hissed when I my head was above water again.
I tried again, this time trying to use my claws against the slippery material only to fail again, going farther under the water. I determined this was how I was going to die but I was not giving up. I survived many fights, I outran cars that by all means should have squashed me, I've fought Picard on serious terms and completely dominated him, and I could get the fuck out of this water.
Picard laughed in his own way, mocking me. He got out of the water, as if to show off, and then jumped back in, splashing me again. He seemed to think it was funny. He swam over and nudged me away from the wall and splashed at me again before barking in a playful tone.
He wanted to play. I was so not in the mood to play with this jerk. I swam back over and tried to climb out again only for the same result, failure. I kept trying.
I was getting tired. I kept trying and trying. Picard had left by now. He was the only one who even knew of my predicament. I then figured out the plan. Yoko had hired Picard to get rid of me and somehow made Kagemori disappear so that she could get away with it! Of course! It made perfect sense and it made my blood boil just at the thought. I tried to climb out using all the strength I had and using my rage to fuel it. I failed again.
I heard female giggling in the hall leading to the water along with a male voice.
Soon the sources of what I was hearing entered. The man looked to be middle-aged and the woman looked like she could be Yoko's sister. I mewed helplessly, having given up getting out on my own.
The woman ran over to the water with a bit of a limp and a pained look. She knelt carefully and picked me up out of the water.
"Yuki, get me a towel, now," she ordered the male.
The male grumbled something about stupid cats or something as he complied. I assumed that in this situation, the woman was the dominant one. He dropped a towel on her head before sliding into the water and let out a relaxed sigh. How could anyone relax in water? I didn't understand humans at all sometimes.
The woman let out a light-hearted giggle at the male's antics before gently drying me off. "You ok?" she asked me in a high-pitched tone.
I glared at her. I wished to be let go now.
She seemed to take that as a yes as she put me down.
I walked closer to the water and stared at my reflection then decided to teach the water who's boss by splashing at it with my right paw only to lose my footing and fall back in. I splashed about for a bit, panicking. I didn't think the woman would show such kindness again and it worried me. It was clear I was not the water's boss at all.
The woman chuckled a bit and calmly slid into the water to get me then placed me back on dry land before getting out and drying me off again. "You should probably stay away from the edge," she advised with an amused chuckle.
Once I was let go of again, I walked away. I was so done with that room. I made a mental note never to go back in there. I found a nice place to nap on the kitchen counter and went into a deep sleep.
A/N: I think I've been mean enough to Pixel. I would add more anyway, but I DO have the next chapter already started. And apparently Pixel ships Kyousuke and Yoko… for all the wrong reasons though, lol.
