Hmm, one more chapter then. Pie anyone?

Crystal had managed to return just in time for dinner meaning, not only had she spent at least five hours with the older Weasley, she also had not eaten anything for the entirety of the day. Both these conclusions dawned on her and she finally remembered her hunger from the morning and she hurried to the great hall for food while wondering how she'd managed to survive with only the words of someone she'd only known for a few weeks. But as she entered the great hall and the smell of food came to her nose, she pushed those thoughts away and quickly sat down opposite the twins whose faces were already stuffed full of food in a less than attractive manner.

She grinned at the two redheads in front of her "So, what did you two do without me?" she asked casually taking a slice of chicken pie from in front of her and cutting out a small piece from the pastry.

"Weeph been plannighh our revenph" said Fred with his mouth still full of some unknown food substance.

"On Bagman?" asked Crystal, deciphering the ill pronounced words with ease.

George had managed to swallow the lump in his mouth and continued for his brother "Yeah! I heard he was going to show up for the first task- if we can't get it peacefully, we'll give him hell."

"Sounds like fun" Crystal took the bite from her neatly cut up corner of pie, as per usual it was perfectly spiced just the way she liked it. "Want to borrow the dragons? I'm sure I could convince Charlie."

Fred swallowed "I think our toffees would do. We could tell 'im we won't return his tongue to normal if he doesn't give us our hard earned savings."

"Or you could guilt trip him into it; you could pass off a being almost cute." replied Crystal, knowing full well that that idea could lead to brushing with the law.

"Anyway." George continued changing the subject as he and Fred shared the same mischievous grin. "Speaking of cute..."

"You've been spending a lot of time with our big bro lately, huh, Crys?" Fred continued."You two look cute together"

"Yeah, well, he's my supervisor" retaliated the girl hiding her slight blush by looking down onto her pie and cutting a bigger piece from the slice, then she processed the second phrase and her face went even redder "p-plus, he needs to make sure I'm safe around the dragons!"

"You've been spending a lot of time not with the dragons too" George interjected in a sing-song voice. "

"Well, he's like a friend, you know" she replied defiantly, then after a pause, she added "and by your logic, I'd be having threesomes with the two of you all the time." Crystal interjected, her face getting hot and flustered.

"We could if you want." Fred joked, wiggling his eyebrows.

"I think I'm good" replied Crystal laughing at the thought as she shoved another piece of pie in her mouth "If ffink of you assh jusshh ffriendsh."

That just set off a trigger in the twins and they switched to full-on melodrama mode.

"You mean, you don't feel the same way?" said Fred, doing a good job of tearing up an sounding heartbroken.

Crystal held in a snigger and decided to play along, happy to let the former topic slide "Its...just that I love you as a friend, that's all" she blurted out with her best act at sincerity.

"It still doesn't mean we'll give up" said George with an equally serious face.

"We'll be waiting for you to return out feelings" Fred continued with the same expression.

The three stared at each other with intensity until something snapped and they all burst into laughter, causing those around them to give them weird looks."So let's just be friends?" Crystal offered between her giggles.

"yeah." They both agreed trying to catch their breath.

Crystal focused her attention once more on the, now, half-eaten slice of pie in front of her, cutting yet another small piece from the slice with her cutlery. George stared at her in awe as he had, once more, stuffed another piece of food into his mouth, this time it was a giant chicken leg, bitten into pieces as though a wolf had managed to lay its eyes upon that unfortunate piece of meat.

"Whah are yoof doing wiff ffat pie?" he said, ripping the meat bone from his mouth and chewing on the remaining meat. He swallowed "you'll be eating crumbs by the end of all this cutting!"

Crystal placed the piece of pie into her mouth, chewed and swallowed "Will not!" she said defiantly, cutting out an extra large piece to prove her point albeit no bigger than a relatively ripe grape."I've almost finished half of it!"

This time Fred joined in, his plate, however, unlike his brother's, was empty. "And I'll take the other half, you ought to be done with that pie" he said, taking the rather small piece and swallowing it in one gulp, he flicked his wand and summoned some mash onto his friend's plate "try this instead; you need more variety in your food"

"Hey!" she shouted, as she made an attempt to look angry but upon tasting her , pathetically tiny, spoonful of mash her face lit up "This is pretty good."

"'course it is" said Fred with a grin.

"We know our food" completed George who now had a pile of chips on his plate, conveniently proving the point.

Fred took one of those chips and tossed it into his mouth "Do see what you found so appetising 'bout that pie, though" Fred added casually between his bites. "It's not as good as the apple one"

"I like savoury pies" she replied casually, actually enjoying the mash more than she really ought to.

This conversation on food lasted throughout the night, and when it finally dawned on Crystal that she still had yet to do her charms essay, she mentally facepalmed and took her leave, digging out the single sentence she wrote as preparation and scribbling frantically on the parchment, trading her valuable hours of sleep for safety from the wrath of a relatively angry short man.

Oh, how I just love random crack conversations. There was some development here, I think. Or at least I tried to add some, anyway.

The next chapter may or may not be up eventually.
