"You mean to tell us you've been doing seventh grade over?!" Siddeley was practically rolling on the floor laughing with this newly acquired information.
"Yes, Siddeley." Finn rolled his eyes. "I wanted to see if I could find someone I could trust… Which I did." Finn smiled back at Alexis, who grinned. "Two people, actually."
"Speaking of school…" Alexis spoke up. "That second person, then… How the heck do you know Mr. Thomas?"
"Mr. Thomas?" Siddeley echoed.
"Mm, about that." Finn smiled. "Siddeley, I found out what happened to Agent Jordan Thomas."
"Who's Jordan Thomas?" Holley asked.
"A good desk agent who disappeared a little before the World Grand Prix scandal." Finn answered. "I know he was onto something like this…"
"Wait, wait, so you found one of the best desk agents in CHROME history who disappeared, and is probably one of the greatest CHROME legends… And didn't tell me yet?!" Siddeley crossed his arms.
"Want to go see him?" Finn asked, rolling his eyes.
"Yes." Siddeley said a bit too quickly.
…
"I appreciate the offer." Mr. Thomas smiled at the kids. "And it's great to see ya. But I've kinda grown accustomed to this place… Time moves differently here. I was a much younger man when I came here," Mr. Thomas chuckled. "Got a job as a math teacher. And I've had that job for many years, now."
"We understand." Finn smiled and shook hands with Alexis's teacher.
"So, you mean to tell me that this whole time… My math teacher has been an ex-CHROME agent?!" Alexis crossed her arms. "You've caught me drawing Cars things in class!" Alexis pointed an accusing finger at Mr. Thomas. "Why didn't you say something?" She tried to be angry, but she couldn't help smiling.
Mr. Thomas laughed, and said no more.
…
"So, now what?" Siddeley asked. "And does it involve cake?"
Finn rolled his eyes, and answered, "Now, Alexis and I are going to finish the school year and you're going to stay out of trouble."
"Me? In trouble? What about Mater? He gets in trouble!" Siddeley exclaimed, spinning to point an accusing finger at Mater.
Mater looked around the room innocently. "What?"
Holley giggled while Siddeley pouted.

Alexis' POV
Summer vacation finally arrived, and I began looking for babysitting jobs just like I planned.
"How's the job-searching going?" Dad asked.
I let out a loud sigh that sounded more like a groan. "Fantastic." I replied sarcastically.
"That good, huh?" He asked as he washed a pot.
The door to the kitchen opened and Siddeley walked in. He had obviously just woken up, no doubt woken by Finn. His hair was messy and he had an annoyed sneer on his face as he sulked through the doorway.
"Good morning, Sunshine." Dad laughed. "Or… Afternoon." He looked at the clock, remembering it was nearly noon.
Siddeley mumbled good morning to Dad and went to the pantry to get a bowl of cereal.
A minute later Holley strolled in with a smile on her face.
"What have you been up to?" I asked Holley.
Holley smiled the smile she wore whenever she did something clever.
"What did you do to the computer this time?" Dad asked.
"Oh," Holley beamed. "All I did was download some tracking software on there. Also, you had a virus. Took about half an hour to get rid of."
"Say what, now?" I asked.
"Oh, and I think I found what you were looking for." She turned to me. "There's someone pretty close by who's desperate for a babysitter."
I jumped to my feet. "Really?" I asked with a smile. "Holley, you're the best!" I leaned forward to hug her. She grinned and hugged back.
"What?" she asked when I laughed.
"It's like you're my little sister. It's pretty funny." I grinned.
Holley shrugged. "Well, if you're technically the same age as Finn, now, I guess you could say that."
"But you're technically older than me. Aren't you, like, twenty?"
"Twenty-two, yeah." Holley nodded. "No idea how old Finn is. I assume he's close to Sid, though."
I was about to ask how old Siddeley was, but Dad spoke up, changing the subject. "Siddeley, do you know where Finn and Mater are?"
"I haven't seen Finn since he woke me up with his theme song." Siddeley answered, frowning at the memory. "That's your fault, you know." He glared at me.
I grinned sheepishly. "Sorry." I wasn't really, though. That sounded fantastic.
"Anyway, I hope you don't mind, but when Holley's not hogging the computer, I found this game called Flight Simulator in the basement. It's a great way to pass the time." Siddeley smiled for the first time that morning.
"Ah, my old Flight Simulator game…" Dad sighed. "I crashed every five minutes or so."
"And I think Mater's discovered that video camera I saw in the basement the other day. I believe he's been spending most of his time in your treehouse." Holley contributed to the conversation.
"I wonder if Finn goes up there sometimes. I mean, the last time we were this age, he had a treehouse, you know. It was… It was nice. We spent a lot of time in that thing." Siddeley smiled again, but his eyes had a certain sadness to them.
"Let's go check." I announced, and slid open the back door. "Holley, come with me." I suggested. She followed without question.
"I feel like I wanna startle them," I quietly admitted to her.
She grinned. "I know just the way."
We snuck up under the treehouse, and Holley whispered her idea into my ear. I grinned and nodded. Taking a deep breath, I hollered, "It's the Ghost Light!"
"Where?!" Mater cried, and nearly fell out of the wooden fort. Holley and I laughed. Finn poked his head out of a window and quietly laughed along with us.
"What have you guys been up to?" I asked.
"Nothing much." Finn smiled.
"Alexis," Holley turned her attention back to me once she was sure Mater was alright. "Do you want to go see about that babysitting job later? I'll go with you."
"Sure." I answered. "That'd be great."
I'm sorry for the short chapter. I stayed up until 2 finishing this… I'm sorry if it sucks. I just knew I had to get something written. XD
