"It was 6:00 A.M, not a minute sooner or later, when Raven felt the cold floor beneath her bare feet. She slowly stood up, stretching her hands above her head with a satisfying yawn. She took a brisk shower and dressed herself in a simple set of black sweatpants and purple tank-top. Her violet hair was still damp and its wild frizziness rivaled that of Edward Scissorhands, but she had no intention of impressing anyone. Her black Chuck Taylor's made a rhythmic clip-clap against the stairs as she made her way to the tower's roof. As she made her way outside she looked over the ocean side, taking in all the usual scents and sounds. She could hear the faint cry of distant seagulls and the less subtle crash of waves against the tower's base. The familiar scent of salty sea reached her and she inhaled deeply, beginning to relax. This is when she noticed another familiar, yet out of place scent. It smelled...mapley? As she turned around a table came into view. Well, at least of what she could see of the table, the majority of it being obscured by stacks upon stacks of waffles smothered in maple syrupy goodness. "Sorry if I startled ya," said Beast Boy. Raven wanted to thank him, but was nearly to distracted by the decadence before her to behold. "Guh..Guh..Garfield, I d..d..don't know what to say." "You don't have to say anything, Rae," said Beast Boy as he handed her a full plate of deliciously golden brown waffles drenched in maple syrup. He pulled out a chair for her and the two sat across from each other smiling intently at the other while enjoying their bounty. Raven, having eaten nearly three pounds of waffles in the matter of only a few minutes, stood up and walked towards Beast Boy. "Thank you," she whispered as she pulled him into the warmest hug he'd ever experienced in his young life.
