Alice tossed the last little piece of the deer heart into her mouth with a content sigh escaping her lips as she savoured the last of the blood on the tip of her tongue.

Ever since she had been experimented on with the T-Virus, Alice had random cravings for blood, similar to a smoker's addiction to niccotine. But the only difference was that Alice's body and mind suffered severely when she didn't keep up with it. She had started having hot and cold flashes about half an hour before she killed the deer, so she knew to get blood into her system.

A sudden twig snapping behind her made her whirl around and raise her blood covered kukri.

"Funny thing, death. Isn't it?" A voice said as they appeared from behind a tree with a broken stick piece in each hand and an MP5k hanging from a shoulder strap.

"You!" Alice snarled as she recognized the voice. "You died in that train car! I saw you die!"

"You were lucky. The Anti-Virus revived me since the T-Virus was bonding with me." Rain Ocampo smiled evilly as she tossed the broken stick aside and gripped her submachine gun.

"I see you still have that piece of crap SMG." Alice taunted as she focused on her heightened blood to try to find where Ben was. She could only sense Rain's T-Virus.

"Better than whatever the fuck that toothpick is." Rain sneered, indicating Alice's raised kukri.

"It's a kukri. I am well aware of your dislike of bladed weapons." Alice momentarily frowned at Rain, who's body language showed that Rain was actually calm for once in Alice's memory of her.

"Cock what? Speaking of which, how's Ben?" Rain sneered. She didn't particularily like Ben since the grenade incident.

"He was with me a few minutes ago. He went to catch a deer for us to eat in our camp." Alice said after she realized that her quiver was partially emptied. What the hell? She used her kukri to kill the first deer... She didn't even bring her crossbow into the woods? Didn't she?

"That's quite surprising. He actually weft your side to go catch a wittle deer for din-din?" Rain said in a childish taunting tone. She ran her thumb over the safety of her gun absent mindedly.

Before Alice could even respond, there was a whoosh very close to her head and Rain screamed in pain, clutching her right knee with both hands. A crossbow bolt was impaled right through the kneecap.

"Run, Alice! Back to camp!" Ben's voice called in her head. He must obviously be speaking to her with Telepathy, so she turned on her heel and sprinted back to camp.

Rain wrenched the crossbow bolt out of her kneecap and glared angrily in the direction it came from. ""I'll admit... it was a nice shot Sergeant."" She yelled as she glimpsed the tell tale blue glow of Ben's eyes high up in the branches of a tree.

Ben smirked as he reloaded Alice's crossbow with another bolt from the bunch he had pickpocketed from her quiver when they ate the first deer. He heard Rain's angry yell as he jumped down from the tree and followed Alice's faint trail back to camp.

Rain was right, he thought. It was a very nice shot.

A/N: My apologies for the short chapter, but this entire fanfic (all three Parts) was originally written on my phone, so this WAS longer in length when I wrote it.
