Chapter 9

Thanks so much for Reviewing! I really hope you guys like this chapter!:) Please review!

"Okay, everybody tomorrow is Ororo's birthday so we really want to make it one for her to remember," the red head mimicked her husband as she gave out the command. She held a tiny note pad with the list of the planning and the things to be done. "Scott, cake. Kitty, Rogue, balloons and other party decorations. Jubilee, music, Bobby, Remy, help the girls, Beast and Megan, make sure all the presents are hidden away good in the Professor's office. Logan, keep Ororo busy."

Logan nodded, 'keep Ororo busy, I'm sure I can do that.'

Jubilee sat on the living room couch making a list of songs to play for Ororo's party. She was so caught up in her deep thought that she didn't hear her roommate and friend come in.

"Oh Call me maybe better be on there," Kitty looked over the Asian girl's shoulder at the list.

"It's at the top of my list," Jubilee stated.

"What other songs do you have on there?" Rogue asked.

"Domino, Back in Time, Give me all your luvin', Somebody that I used to know, Just the way you are, Saving all my love for you, Wild ones, Whistle, We are young, and don't worry, Rogue. I'm putting some One Direction on here," Jubilee teased. "But I'm still adding more."

In the Xavier's office, Hank and Megan inspected the entire room to make sure the presents were well hidden away from the weather witch. The blue creature's ocean blue eyes looked at the pictures that the Professor had hanging on his wall. Many of the pictures were the students; Scott and Jean when they were teens, Rogue and Kitty, Jubilee laughing at Remy, Emma posing with Jean and Ororo, and then next to that picture was Hank with Ororo. He remembered that day, it was the day she said that Scott liked Jean and Jean told her that she liked Scott. The memory brought a small smile to the blue creature's face. Back then Ororo used to tell him everything, and he did the same. He told her his dreams and his secrets; this led him to see her as more than just a friend, and he had hoped someday her feelings would be mutual.

But all that changed when Forge came along….

In the Greenhouse the snow haired beauty struggled to lift her heavy soil bag, "Oh my!"

"Need a hand," Logan asked.

Ororo nodded 'yes' and in one swift motion Logan picked up the heavy soil bag like nothing, as if it had been filled with air.

"Well, aren't you strong," Ororo commented as she kneeled down next to her mini rose garden. While she busied herself with inspecting the roses, she didn't notice that Logan's gray eyes were fascinated by the beauty all around him. The variety of colorful flowers and the exotic beauty that grew them was sight that left him nearly breathless.

"You grow all these by yourself?" he asked without taking his grey colored eyes off the roses.

"Yes, I do," she answered as she struggled once again with a stubborn root. The mighty Wolverine noticed.

"Need a hand?" he asked again as he kneeled down next to her.

"Two to be exact," she smiled.

"Well, Beautiful, my hands can do wondrous," he said in a suggestive tone that involved more than just helping her garden. Ororo blushed at his comment.

"I'm missing some of my gardening tools," she looked over her shoulder at her gardening kit where most of her tools were usually in, Logan did the same and picked up the scent of Bobby. 'Maybe it's part of her birthday surprise tomorrow,' he thought. "So right now I'm kind of forced to pull the weeds by hand."

Megan observed Hank's body language as he placed his gift in the hiding spot. "Are you okay?"

"Why do ask," Hank turned to the pixie mutant with a confused expression.

"It's just you look a little pissed off," Megan honestly said.

"I kind of am," he said.

Megan thought for a moment about telling him about what she heard Ororo tell Jean about her incident with Wolverine in the Danger Room, but the pain she sensed from him prevented Megan from doing so.

Logan assisted Ororo with the weeds, but a question sparked in his mind as he watched the beautiful woman before him. "Beautiful, why do you grow all these plants?'

Jubilee had told him that she practically lived in the Greenhouse. Ororo looked up at the feral man, "It's just a hobby I picked up when I first came here. I just," she paused, "I liked the idea of planting anything I want and helping it grow. You know it's kind of like life." The weather witch reached in a small bag and pulled out a small seed and placed it in a small hole. Logan placed his hand so close to hers that it sent a tingling feeling through his body. Together they covered the hole with soil as she continued, "In life you plan and think about what's next for you, but all you can do is be patient. Let yourself grow as the kind of person you want to be."

When the hold was finally covered neither of them bothered to move away from the other. They were so close that their noses were almost touching. Once again his gray eyes locked with her sky blue eyes. Their closeness was spoiled by yet another interruption by a certain red head.

Jean cleared her throat causing the two to separate, "Am I interrupting?"

Tonight the professor had intended to leave tonight to discuss about the rights in the mutants media. According to him what better way to have support than with a student he had helped with their abilities, Warren Worthington also known as Angel. But he promised he would be back in time for his daughter's birthday. Before Hank departed with the professor to leave, he had finally come to the conclusion that he had indeed fixed the security cameras. The X-men leader let out a breath of relief that the cameras were finally fixed the night his loving wife and devoted sister were going to be on night patrol.

At 11:45 P.M everyone was sound asleep while the weather goddess roamed the clearing circling the institute while the telepath stood on the balcony scanning the area below. The two were having a back-and-forth conversation that could possibly last all night.

"For the last time, Jean, I was not looking at him like that," Ororo stated as she passed the fountain.

"As if, Ororo. If I hadn't came into the greenhouse when I did you would have been all over him," Jean teased her friend. Ororo blushed at her friend's comment. "Come on, Ro, you guys looked pretty cute together."

Ororo stopped for a second believing she heard something, but looked down and saw a small divided twig beneath her left foot and continued to walk down the path.

"Jean, we'll talk about this later, I feel a headache coming on," Ororo said rubbing the side of her head. Little did she know that beyond the bushes stood the predator that had murdered the deer, but was now stalking the African beauty, his prey.

Her scent was alluring to him, like a siren calling Odysseus to come to her.

Her scent aroused him.

Her scent was something that he wanted all over him.

But more importantly he wanted his scent all over her. To claim her, but he had orders, but they meant nothing to him. The only thing that mattered was the beautiful creature before him.

Jean decided to stay out of her friend's head and give her space. 'Boy, this is boring,' she thought.

The security cameras each startled to turn off automatically one by one. That's when the creature decided to strike.

"Going somewhere," came a whisper from a deep alarming voice that would haunt her to no end.

Before she could respond the man's arm threw her across the clearing causing her back to meet the sharp bark of a tree. Nearly knocking the wind right out of her; Ororo groaned and tried to find words to communicate to her friend on the other side of her communicator, but the communicator stopped working. It had been disabled just like the security cameras. "Jean," Ororo attempted to talk through the communicator, but only heard static. Her action earned her fragile feminine body to be pinned against the prickly tree leaving bruises. "AAAAAAAAHHHHH," she let out a piercing scream.

Logan's ears picked up Ororo's scream and his blood began to boil at the scent he had picked up.

"Ororo!" Jean called through the communicator thus becoming shocked when she heard only static. Then the redhead tried to communicate with Ororo with her mind, she sensed nothing but a scattered mind that meant something was wrong. Using her telepathy she woke everyone up in the mansion.

'This is no man,' Ororo thought, 'This is a creature!'

The creature sank his canine sharp teeth into her neck, but his heavy hand covered her soft wet mouth that 'just begged to be kissed.' Replacing the hand that was covering her mouth with his mouth swallowing the rest of her screams, but his face instantly moved from hers as she used her finger nails to scratch across his animal like face.

He slightly winced, but a sneaky grin spread across his face, "Oh, you wanna play that way do ya?"

His claws raked down her curvy sides tearing her uniform, starting from her hips up to her breasts. Leaving bloody scars on her body. Ororo struggled, but his massive body was too heavy for her. She flinched as her attacker's long tongue slid down her smooth face. His right hand cupped her chin while his left hand grabbed her throat squeezing her. The tips of his claws cutting her throat. Her eyes closed from the pain wishing it would all end, she prayed for strength for arms to be released so she could use the power of the wind to throw her attacker off.

Her prayers were answered. Suddenly her attacker was thrown off of her leaving her gasping for air. She opened her eyes to see Logan with his admantium claws out stabbing the creature against the same tree that her attacker had pinned her against. Her attacker let out a loud roar as he tried to throw Wolverine, but Wolverine didn't budge but tackled the creature.

The mocha skinned woman watched the scene; she could feel her life leaving her delicate body as she laid on the ground covered with blood. Everything became dark and her eyes closed, and her breathing started to stop.

The End.
