Sorry about the longest guys! I've had a bit of a block and this is sadly only a filler chapter, but it's something at least! XD I've going off the grid for the next week so don't expect any updates anytime in the next seven days XD hopefully I'll have time to write some more while I'm gone but no promises! By the way this is pretty short so I apologize in advance, hope you guys like it!

Riaru awoke to blindingly white hospital lights shining at her from above. The split minded girl groaned in protest.

"So you're finally awake, huh?" Yū's voice filtered in through their mind. Riaru's body shot up in mere seconds at the sound. Though when stars sparked across their vision, the 19-year-old was forced to flop back into the bed, which caused its legs to squeak. Both splits lay there dazed for a few moments..

"What happened to us?" Yū asked with a tired sigh.

Riaru rubbed their eyes with slow and sluggish movements. "Our second session with Dr. Mori..."

"Second?" Yū questioned sounding confused, exhaustion tainted her words.

The black haired girl could do nothing but nod as the multicolored star began retreating to the edges of their vision. "You've been gone for about two days," Riaru whispered to her split.

"Can I get a summery?"

"After you disappeared... I freaked out, I'd never felt so alone in my life. So, I bought a book..." Just as Yū had asked, Riaru gave her a summary, and it was a summary so detailed that Yū couldn't help but question Riaru's definition of the word. Yet, none the less Riaru had gotten her caught up on the events of the last two days, all the way up to Dr. Mori explaining that he was going to hypnotize her. She would have continued on past that if she had remembered what had happened afterwards, but that time gap was nothing but darkness. She couldn't even tell her as to why they lay in a hospital bed.

"Where were you?" Riaru whispered, her tone was not accusing, only fearful.

"Somewhere in the abyss of our mind, though where exactly I couldn't tell you," Yū sighed. For the split no apology was needed for her host's slip up, as it was obvious through her story that Riaru had suffered enough from her mistake, hopefully it was enough to prevent a second occurrence.

After a while of the two sitting in silence the room's door slid open to reveal a tired looking Dr. Mori. "Ah!" He clapped his large hands together as he approached their bed. "It's good to have you back with us Riaru."

Yū took over to sit them up. "Actually, it's Yū, nice to meet ya Doc." Yū was to tired to stop Riaru as she took over their body again to apologize to the doctor for her split's rudeness.

Dr. Mori let out a hearty laugh, "Pleased to make your acquaintance, but really it should be me who is apologizing. I'm afraid our hypnotism did not go quite as planned. Putting you under went well, but bringing you out was a completely different story. There were some... Complications... Which forced us to put you under with sedatives."

"Complications?" Yū asked, "sounds sketchy."

"It was just that your heart rate was reaching a dangerous level and I was having trouble pulling you out of the hypnotism," the doctor replied, he had a small smile on his face despite the circumstances. "But, as an apology I've had food delivered. Sadly the caterer was closing since it is such a late hour, and was only able to prepare the steak."

"Mmm... Sounds fancy," Yū stated as a nurse brought in the food. "Thank you for the meal!" The split smiled before digging in.

The most delicious flavor exploded into their mouth and Yū moaned in tastebud ecstasy, "This is... the best... steak... ever!" The split groaned between bites. She continued chewing the food as she reveled in its taste and texture. "It's so tender and juicy, best thing I've ever had in my life!" Yū grinned up at the doctor who sat patiently waiting for her to finish, a smile graced his lips and crows feet crinkled at his eyes.

Yū wiped any remaining food from the corners of her mouth before graciously thanking the doctor before asking what time it was and how long they had been out for. Mori shook out his wrist before he glanced down at his watch. "I'm afraid we over dosed you a bit, so you were out for around five hours, which makes it almost 10pm."

They choked on the water a nurse had offered them. "Mom." Both splits thought at the same time. Hurriedly they jumped off the bed, pulled on their shoes and jacket, grabbed their book and was bolting for the door when Mori stopped them.

"Ah, before you leave." He handed the 19-year-old a orange prescription bottle. "This is a new medication that I'm going to start putting you on for some of your schizophrenia symptoms, I drew the conclusion that some of them had begun to leak through the barrier that you're third split had put up. The dosage is printed on the bottle." Or perhaps the barrier the two of you put up against him, the Doctor couldn't help but think as he watched the girl rush around the room.

They snagged the pill bottle before running out the door. "Just a warning my dear! The side effects are going to alter your tastebuds for the time that you're on them! Hopefully we'll be able to take you off them soon!" Mori's voice echoed down the corridor as the split minded girl pounded down the hall, their footsteps rattling the ears of those they passed. They comprehended Mori's echoey words, but did not respond to what was being said as they had bigger things to worry about... Such as Riaru's mother and her overprotective nature for her mentally unstable daughter.

The splits took the stairs down to the lobby and bolted out the front doors. The receptionist could only stare after the girl as the glass doors shook from their departure. Unfortunately, the girls' rush of adrenaline was only able to carry them a few blocks before they were forced to stop as their previous exhaustion caught up with them. Riaru's stomach churned with Yū's partially digested meal as they slowed to a stop. A construction site loomed overhead.

The only sounds to be heard was the night's gentle breeze and the 19-year-old's harsh, panting breaths. "I don't think," Yū gasped out, "that we're not fully recovered from that event earlier today."

"I agree," Riaru panted. After a few minutes they began moving again, only this time is was at a slower pace. They continued with that pace for about another forty-five minutes until they had finally reached the end of their street. Blue lights that flashed ahead of them painted the neighborhood with their bold color.

"I don't care if I'm suppose to wait twenty-four hours! My daughter has problems mentally, something may have happened to her!" There was a pause as Mrs. Genji listened to the operator on the other end of the line. "No! I will not call back tomorrow morning!"

The called clicked dead leaving nothing but the dial tone to ring out into the ears of the concerned woman. "Hello?Hello!"

Riaru's mother scowled before redialing the emergency number. She lowered her voice to a mere whisper, "Hello?" Mrs. Genji choked out, "I think there's someone in my house..."

The grey eyed girl's feet pounded over the concrete, her breath was harsh, and their earlier exhaustion had been forgotten at the sight of police lights near their home. Riaru took over in their panic. "Mother!" She yelled, "Mom!" She could only pray that no one was dead. Her front door was hanging partially open, she burst through it, the handle banged into the wall behind it it causing a loud cracking noise to echo through the house. Riaru rushed across the thresh hold, she didn't take care to remove their shoes in her panic.

"Mother!" Riaru screamed again, her own voice hurt her ears as they ran for the living room. She was to filled with dread to remember the small step up into the room and tripped on the single stair before crashing to her knees. Riaru winced in pain as she attempted to stand up on the hardwood, but fell again as the twos' exhaustion began catching up with them again.

"Riaru!" Came her mother's familiar voice before something plowed into her side, taking all her oxygen with it.

The grey eyed girl felt like crying as her mother clutched her tightly to her chest. The last two days had been, both mentally and physically, rough and Riaru's mind and body was finally catching up with this fact. She just wanted to forever stay in her mother's embrace and sleep all her troubles away.

Unfortunately forever was a long time and time was never on Riaru's side. Their reunion had been cut short by an annoyed cough from one of the two police officers who stood in her living room. An unknown anger flared at their intrusion, she was quick to shake the feeling off. She pushed herself up from her kneeling position to greet the two men.

The girl glanced at her mother from the corner of her eyes. "I'm guessing this has something to do with us," she coughed to cover their slip up, "me." The officers held the girl and her split in a slightly cautious gaze.

"Good job, you creeped out the cops," Yū laughed within their head.

"Well it's not my fault, I picked up the habit from you," Riaru huffed back at the split.

"You're her daughter correct?" The officer to the right asked, annoyance lanced his words. Riaru merely nodded. "Well, your mother called us to report you as a missing person. When the operator told her to wait 24 hours and then ended the conversation she called back to report that someone had just broken in," he sent a pointed glare my mother's way as she stood up from the floor while dusting herself off.

Riaru looked incredulously at Mrs. Genji. Yū let out a hearty laugh after hearing this small story. "I think she's crazier then us!" Riaru could do nothing but gape at the woman.
