What A Little Blue Mouse Told Me: Goodnight, Dr. Blue Boy

By: M14Mouse

Summary: Fairuza has a strange way to say that it is time for bedtime. Strange enough…He listens.

Disclaimer: Don't own them.

"Fairuza, do not touch that button!" Hawk said as he turned around from his work to stare at the blue mouse. The little blue mouse stopped from touching the button and stared at him. He could see Fairuza's little paw twitching to touch the button again.

"Fairuza…"

She huffed then crawled over and jumped to another table. She curled up into a ball and gave him a look.

He chuckled softly.

He didn't know how Ororo does it. He didn't know how she did it. Fairuza seemed to be so…innocent when Ororo was around. Of course, he knew better. He has sworn that every time that he turned around she would have gone off and get into some sort of trouble. Although, he would have to say this, not out loud of course. Watching the little mouse work was quite amusing. One minute, she can be watching you and the next she could try to push buttons or pull plugs. He still isn't quite sure on how she learned at that one.

Perhaps, Bobby taught her. Those two were a terrible influence on each other. Scott is still complaining about the hair dye after a week. It was amusing but he wouldn't say that out loud.

Sometimes, she was content. She would find a perch and just curl up into a ball and watching you much like a cat or dog would do. Sometimes, she would sit next me and watch him as he worked.

But he remembered one time that he was working very late on an important project for the government. He was yawning and rubbing his eyes. No matter how much coffee that he drank, he felt his body start to crave sleep.

Fairuza…bless her must decided that he needed to go to sleep. She crawled over and sat on his keyboard. She would not even move when he threatened to get Ororo. He picked her several times and a moment later, she would crawl back into her place.

Finally, he got so frustrated that left the room. He didn't want to do anything to harm the mouse. He needed a break anyway and some food might help to achieve his goal on reminding awake. For some reason, he must have sat down on the bed in the medical ward. A few hours later, he woke up from the bed. He rubbed his eyes then went to check on my project. Fairuza was gone.

I checked over my project and to my surprise, there was a huge mistake. My lack of sleep could have cost months of work. Could she have known or she wanted me go to sleep? I don't know really know.

He glanced over at the mouse on her perch on the table.

"Are you going to stop me today, little one?"

She opened one of her blue eyes and gave him a look.

"No answer? No sitting on my keyboard?" He said with a grin.

She yawned at him and curled up into a ball again.

He chuckled softly.

Fairuza was truly a mouse who wasn't a mouse.
