Charlie had been pacing ever since Bella left with Edward. He was livid. Bella was a vampire because of Edward and she had been in danger since the first moment she met him. Why could she not see that he was no good for her. Charlie knew that no matter what he said to his daughter that she would not listen to reason. It was like he no longer had any control of her. That whatever he said absolutely held no weight whatsoever. When they came back, Charlie was going to sit down with Bella and tell her how things were going to be.

"I don't think so, Charlie," Alice replied to no one in particular.

"What? How could you know what will happen?" Charlie scowled.

"I see the future, Charlie, and I see Bella and Edward married. And I see you eventually accepting it."

"Like hell I will!"

"Charlie, you are going to be living this life for all eternity. Do you honestly want to spend it being mad and aggravated at your daughter?"

"Why is she so hell bent on being with him? He is the reason that she and I are like this. I can't even do my old job anymore. I can't even be around Billy for God sakes!"

"Actually, you could if you really wanted to," Jacob answered.

"But aren't we enemies now or something?"

"Not anymore. Since I imprinted on Bree, that whole treaty and mortal enemy thing is a moot point."

"What do you mean 'imprinted'? What does that even mean?"

"Well, you see, Charlie, we wolves have imprints. That is the one person that you find that makes everything else in the world seem meaningless. It's like she is what tethers you to the world. She is your whole existence and you would do everything in your power to make sure that she is always happy and loved. That's what Bree is to me."

"What about what you felt for Bella? Is that gone now?"

"Charlie, I'll always love her, like she is my sister. Nothing more and she no longer feels like my enemy because now I am in love with a vampire too. And because Bree is my imprint, none of my wolf brothers can ever harm her. That is one of our main laws that you never harm another persons imprint."

"I suppose that makes sense but I don't understand Edward and Bella. Why can she not move on from him or him from her for that matter?"

"I can explain that one, Charlie," Carlisle said as he entered the room.

Everyone turned and looked at him as he settled on the couch beside Esme. Jacob and Bree snuggled closer together, Emmett and Rosalie looked up from their magazine, Alice and Jasper sat in an over sized chair while Charlie sat up in one of the straight back kitchen chairs near an open window with his elbows on his knees as he waited for Carlisle's explanation of Bella and Edward.

"Bella and Edward are mated," Carlisle simply stated.

If fire could have come out of the top of Charlie's head he would have caught the drapes behind him on fire. He jumped up and Alice could see that Carlisle had not chosen the right words to explain things to Charlie.

"WHAT!" Charlie screamed and lunged for the door.

Some how Jasper and Emmett managed to grab him before he fled. Alice rolled her eyes.

"Way to go, Dad. You probably could have had a better explanation than that one. Charlie, calm down," Alice said.

"Like hell I will! How dare he lay one hand on her! She's my baby girl! He had no right to touch her!"

"Charlie, Edward has not 'mated' with Bella in the physical sense. Bella is his mate and he is hers. It is sort of like a wolf when they imprint. Actually it is more like how penguins mate for life. They will forever be in love and will only have eyes for each other. Is that a better description?" Carlisle asked.

"It is but it doesn't make me feel any better."

"Why? What is wrong with Edward? He has never done anything but love your daughter," Esme stated.

"What about the time that he left her? Left her in a total and complete catatonic state. It was horrible. I tried to send her to Florida with her mother and we even thought about institutionalize her. Edward left her utterly broken! He has no right to her!"

"Charlie Swan! I beg to differ," Bella yelled as she came through the front door.

"Don't you talk to me like that! You are still my daughter and you will still listen to me!"

"Actually . . ." Carlisle began.

"Not the right time, Carlisle," Alice stated.

"What? Not the right time for what," Charlie demanded.

"It's not important now, Charlie. What is important is that you see that Bella and Edward are going to get married. They are both old enough to make this decision and there is really not much you can do about it," Alice explained.

"I can make her now marry him!"

"How do you expect to do that, Dad? I love him and he loves me and this is what we want. I will never want another person. I will always love him and want no one else but him," Bella replied.

"And I love your daughter more than anything else in existence. There will never be another person for me. I will always love her and take care of her. Can you not see that we belong together? Can you not see that we will make each other happy for all eternity? Do you not want happiness for you daughter?" Edward asked.

"Don't think you can waltz in here and think you know what is best for my daughter. She is still my daughter!"

"But I am eighteen!"

"And how old is Edward?"

"I am over one hundred years old. I am perfectly legal to marry Bella. I really would like to have your blessing."

"And I told you to go to hell!"

"DAD . . . you can't talk to him that way," Bella yelled as she jumped in between the two men. "I will not let you fight with Edward again. You're going to have to get over this or so help me we will go some place else. I'll not spend my eternity fighting with you over something that is a moot point. Edward is my destiny. Get over this now!"

Edward pulled Bella closer to him and kissed the top of her head. That put Charlie into orbit. No way were the two of them going to be together, not while he was around.

"Isabella Marie Swan, don't you dare speak to me that way! I'm still your dad and you will not marry him. I absolutely forbid it! You're not running off with him and I'll see to it that you two are no longer together. I refuse to allow you to be with him and if I have to move us away from her I will. I'm not about to spend eternity with this bastard who left you without a second thought. I can't believe you would want to be with someone who threw you away like garbage. He doesn't want you and you are just too blind and snowed over to see it! Get over here now because we are moving out!"

The Cullens including Edward were completely silent, too shocked to speak. Jacob, Seth and Bree sat staring with their mouths hanging open. Charlie was serious about every word he said, Edward could see that much in his mind and even though part of it was true, there was no way that Edward was going to be able to ever be away from Bella. He looked at her and she had started to vibrate and then the whole room froze. He tried to move but could not. Edward heard the rest of his family as they tried in vain to escape their bonds. The other three were also affected and could not more get away than they could.

Bella not only saw red but she could see flames. Charlie may be her father but he absolutely no right to tell her who she could and could not love. Her anger was bubbling over and it was oozing out of her. She saw the fear in Charlie's eyes as she paced over to him. He backed towards the back wall of the house that was all glass. The flames of her anger flamed out and encircled Charlie and all of her rage was honed in on him. The back wall behind him began to shake and quake. Then Bella let out an ear splitting scream that sent Charlie flying backwards and straight into the windows. The glasses had shattered into nothing more than powder and the wood splintered into toothpicks. Charlie landed on his back and turned up about fifty feet of dirt before smashing into a large oak tree in the back yard. He was not knocked out but more like stunned. Bella collapsed and Edward was suddenly unfrozen and he ran to catch her before she hit the floor.

"What the hell was that," Jacob yelled as he jumped off the floor followed by Bree and Seth.

The others were at the back window quickly and looked out at Charlie who had sat up and shook his head. Edward still held a dazed Bella. He worried about her. She had never done anything like this before and he did not know that he had ever witnessed a power like hers. In Carlisle's mind he heard that he had never either. She was a mystery to them all and a powerful one at that.

"Oh no," Edward said aloud.

"What," Emmett asked as he came over to where Edward and Bella sat.

"We are about to have company."

Alice had been blinded to everything now that the wolves had taken up residence in their house. With Bree and Jacob together there was always a wolf presence in their home. It wasn't unwelcome per say but it was a major hindrance to her gift plus they gave her a headache.

"I called and told Eleazar about what happened to Bella and they all wanted to see how she turned out," Carlisle replied.

"All of them," Edward asked.

"Yes, Edward, Tanya is coming too."

"No, I was thinking more along the lines of Irina. Considering we now have wolves as part of our family and her history with Laurent and the fact that they did not come to our aid while facing Victoria, I did not know if she would come with them."

"She is. Irina wanted to come and apologize for her actions. I did not realize they would come so soon. Can you see how far away they are?"

"No, not with the two of them here," Alice sighed.

"They have to be within a few miles from here since I can hear them. They should be here soon. But what about Bella? Alice, I really wished you could see what the future holds."

"You know the thing is and I am not complaining but we really have nowhere to go. Well Seth does," Jacob said.

"I had not really thought about that," Esme said sadly.

"You know you could come to my house," Seth said.

"That would go over like a lead brick with Leah I am sure."

"Jake, I'm sorry that I have alienated you from your friends. But I thought the treaty was void," Bree asked.

"It is but some of the guys are not as open minded as Seth is. Most want to run me out on a rail for my choice."

"I thought you dogs really didn't have a choice when it came to an imprint," Rosalie spat.

"We don't. But they thought I would have a little restraint. But when it happens it happens. And honestly would not change a thing. I love you, Bree."

"And I love you, Jake."

They kissed and the others just smiled at them. Edward understood how they felt. He knew he should probably go check on Charlie but he could not leave Bella. He could not figure out figure out why she had not come back around. Maybe Eleazar could give them and answer. Fortunately Edward could see them coming through the back trees.

"They are coming through the trees," Edward replied.

"I think Eleazar could explain Bella. I have never seen anything like what she did just now. Maybe her immobile state has something to do with all the power she exhibited." Carlisle announced.

"Hello, anyone home. My oh my, are you redecorating," Eleazar asked.

"Eleazar, my friend. It has been too long since our last visit." Carlisle said as he embraced his friend.

"It is good to see you too, friend Carlisle. So where is lovely Bella?"

"She is with Edward."

"The others are outside looking at the man sitting in a whole in your hard against a broken tree. His covered in dust and splinters. What happened?"

"Maybe you should go see Bella. That might help you out."

They walked back through the house and found Edward still cradling Bella. Eleazar leaned down to where he was on the same level as Edward and Bella. He looked at Bella in her dazed state and looked deep into her. He was a little puzzled and then Eleazar knew.

"Oh my goodness, I am amazed," Eleazar gasped.

"What is it? Have you figured it out," Carlisle asked.

"I could tell you now but would you rather I told you when Bella comes to herself?"

"Yes, Eleazar, I would rather wait til Bella wakes up," Edward answered.

"I wished I could tell you," Alice said.

"Okay, I can take a hint. Bree and I will go out for a bit. That way you can see what's going on." Jacob said.

"Thank you Jake really. This means a lot. Come back in a few hours."

"A few hours? Jesus, Alice! How much do you need to see?"

"I haven't see anything in a over three days and I need to see what is going on with Bella. So thanks for agreeing to living for a while and also that way my head will stop hurting."

"See you all later," Jacob said and Bree and Seth left with him.

"You are friend with wolves?" Irina said as he finally came in the house.

"Yes. They helped us during the fight with Victoria and the newborn army." Jasper explained.

"I am sorry about that. I got so upset about what happened with Laurent and the wolves that I could not see straight."

"You do know that Laurent cane here to kill Bella. Victoria had sent him to check on her but he decided that she smelled too delicious to let live," Edward explained.

"But he loved me. He was going to become a vegetarian for me."

"No he was going to kill her and I am glad the wolves killed him." Edward spat out.

"Edward!" Esme hissed.

"No, he is right. Bella was his mate and he has every right to want him dead. I guess I was wrong about him."

"Everyone make mistakes, Irina." Rosalie said.

"So who is the man sitting outside?" Kate asked as she walked through the broken window followed by Tanya and Carmen.

"That is Charlie Swan, Bella's father." Esme replied.

"But why is he outside in such a mess?" Carmen asked.

"Bella got a little pissed." Emmett answered.

"Emmett McCarty, young man we do not talk that way in this house!" Emmett fussed.

"Ha ha, Emmett got busted again." Alice laughed.

"How did Bella do that?" Tanya asked.

Alice suddenly got still as a statue. The vision came to her quick. She saw it all: Jacob and Bree moving away to start a life away from their family and the pack, Charlie falling for Irina and moving to live with the Denali's, Bella's gift as a shield and as phoenix type power where she channeled her rage into a more focused gift and finally Edward and Bella's wedding. From what she saw there was no more drama to be had in the Cullen's future. Just as Alice was about to say what Bella was, Bella woke up with a large intake of breath. She shot bolt straight out of Edward's arms and looked at everyone around her. She had never laid eyes on any of these people and Bella jumped into a crouch in front of Edward to protect him.
