Chapter 9: Forgotten Memories
My eyes widened as I was pushed back into the shadows. Instinctively, I grab the arm holding me, and with all of my strength, I flip my attacker over my head and slam them into the ground.
I took a step back to look at the body of Sebastian Michaelis lying in front of me.
"Fuck, that hurt like hell," he grumbled, slowly sitting up while rubbing his head. "I guess there really is more to you than what your appearance says."
I glared at him. "What do you want?"
Sebastian looked at me and I quickly averted my eyes. Don't look, don't look.
Taking the sudden movement of my head as something else, Sebastian smiled and started laughing. "Oh, what's wrong?"
Don't look, don't look.
"What happened to all of that sass a few seconds ago?"
Don't look, don't look.
"Was that bravery all for show? Are you actually a cry baby?"
Excuse me, but who just flipped you?
"Or, is it something else?'
I narrowed my eyes to the tone of his voice. It was no longer mocking, but rather something different. It was a tone of voice I knew very well and always used all of my power to stay away from.
"I have no idea what you are talking about," I sate, hoping to find a quick escape route without having to resort to violence.
"No need to be shy, Ciel." I shivered. Only once in the past have I heard my name spoken with such a disgusting tone, and I was determined to leave before what I was so sure was to happen next occurred. "You can confess to me now, no one's here to see or hear."
Wait, what?
What.
The.
Fucking.
Hell?
Ignoring my rule of not looking into his eyes, I stared out him with a horrified look on my face. "Say what now?"
Sebastian tilted his head and smirked at me. "Come on, it's no use to hide it now, I know you like me."
I continued to stare at him. "Like hell I do. Don't get so full of yourself bastard." I turned to walk back to class which unfortunately had started by now, when I was once again pushed against a wall. This time, Sebastian pinned my arms and legs with his own so that his face was inches away from mine.
"If you're so sure that you don't like me, let's test it hm? If you really don't like me, I will leave you alone."
I tried struggling against Sebastian's firm hold, but he was a whole lot stronger than what he was letting on. Never the less, I continued to push against him until he removed one of his arms that was pinning mine and grabbed my face to look at his.
Instantly, I felt my mind go numb as I stared into the red pools he had for eyes. One by one, I slowly forgot about the world and it took me a while to realize something soft was pressing against my lips. I stood there shocked, my mind on overdrive, and by accident, easily allowed him access to insert tongue. Still petrified, Sebastian leaned in closer and deepened the kiss.
He smelt like soap and cinnamon. I swear it was the randomness thought ever, but it just popped into my mind. I wasn't even aware I wasn't resisting. I just stared into space and let Sebastian slowly take control of my actions.
Unwillingly, I let out a small moan, which immediately pulled me out of my trance. My dazed eyes came back into focus, and I saw the one thing I was trying the hardest to forget.
I saw them.
The people who kidnapped my parents and me.
The people who left their irremovable stains on and in me.
The people who took away the two living beings I couldn't bear to live without.
At the time.
I quickly pushed Sebastian back with all the strength I could muster and quickly wiped my lips.
Sebastian stumbled back a bit before looking at me confused. "What was that for? We were both enjoying the moment there, don't deny it." It must've been the look on my face, because his playboy demeanor was quickly replaced with an emotion I couldn't name. It wasn't concern or worry, but it wasn't completely uncaringness.
I was still wiping my mouth, looking to the side when Sebastian walked up to me again but this time, instead of kissing me, he reached out his hand and grabbed my wig. Easily, it came off. I tripped on my feet and fell on my butt.
Sebastian looked at the red wig he was holding. "Huh, I thought so. Lemme ask you Ciel, why are yo-"
He turned to look at me and stopped speaking. The hair gel was weak by itself, so strands of my slate hair were falling out of place. I slowly stood back up, my legs shaking from the hallucination. I felt nauseous and needed fresh air.
Sebastian was staring at my face as if his head couldn't look in any other direction. He took a step forward, and I tried to take one back, but instead felt the cool surface of a wall behind me. My head was throbbing and I felt like puking.
Let me just tell you, I hate throwing up.
Then, just as Sebastian was about to take another step, there was a flash of black, and Rhea was prominently sitting on top of Sebastian, his chest and face slammed against the ground and her hand wrapped dangerously around his neck.
"Here you are Ciel, I was wondering where you went."
I felt too horrible to reply, so I just stood there, relief blooming in my chest.
Rhea turned her attention to the boy she was perched on top of. "So, you are Sebastian Michaelis, correct?'
Allowing him to speak, Rhea lifted his head from the floor. A small trickle of blood ran from his nose. "Yes, I am. May I help you bitch?"
"Yes you can actually,"
RHEA'S POV
I lowered the collar of Sebastian's shirt and struck a pressure point, causing his whole body to become paralyzed. Quickly, I stood back up and walked over to Ciel.
Damn, he looked awful. His skin was pale and pasty, sweating dripping from his brow. His breaths came out short and laboured and his eye looked clouded and full of fear.
Carefully, I make him sit down and start whispering soothing words. By the looks of it, he was going to blow chunks any second now, but he was still conscious.
I looked back at Sebastian's body, still paralyzed, and then back at Ciel.
I caressed Ciel's sweaty cheek with my hand. "Sssh, you're fine now Ciel, just take slow deep breaths. That's it, there you go, just keep on doing that. Everything is all right. You're safe now."
A minute after he calmed down a bit. Ciel suddenly got very pale and leaned forward, spilling all of his stomach's contents all over the floor. Moving to sit beside him, I gently rubbed his back and softly talked to him as he continued to hurl. Very slowly, I reached to a window behind us and slowly opened it, allowing the stench to air out, and to give Ciel some fresh air.
Once his stomach was empty, Ciel dry heaved until he finally collapsed against me, his body shivering and weak from the loss of vitamins. I take a tissue I had stored in my jacket pocket out and wiped his mouth.
"R-Rhea," he panted, "s-sorry for t-the mess."
Straddling him in my lap, I gently stroke his hair. "Ssh, it's okay, just rest now."
Very slowly, Ciel began to close his eyes, and soon, I heard soft snores. I picked him up and moved him away from the nasty puddle of puke. Gently laying him down on the floor I turn back to Sebastian and crouch in front of him.
"I will make this very clear and straight to the point. Stay away from Ciel. You will bring back memories that best remain dormant. It'd be the best for the both of you, even if neither of you know it yet. Sooner or later, Ciel will remember, and I don't recommended being around when that happens."
I then pressed against another pressure point, and Sebastian gasped as feeling came back to his body.
"Do you think I am afraid of you? I will find you and make sure to make you experience hell!"
I turned around to look at him, dead straight in the eyes. Removing my glasses, I let all of the feeling escape from my face and stared at Sebastian will the same expression I used to murder an endless number of innocent people
The face of Death itself.
"Don't talk to me about experiencing hell. I have already been to the fiery pits and back, and when I leave this world, it is that blazing abyss I will return to. I have no reason to try to repent. I have gone far beyond the point of forgiveness. I do not fear pain or death, for both are friends I have known for a long time. Heed my words Sebastian Michaelis. There is nothing in this world that will prevent me from destroying you. If you cherish your sanity and life, you will stay away."
Sebastian looked at me, and I knew he was scared. There was still that cocky pride that prevented any signs of fear to show on his face, but his eyes deceived him. I knew that look well.
I have seen it too many times.
"I don't recommend trying to move for now unless you want to permanently injure a ligament. After two hours, it should be safe to move around. I shall take my leave now."
I put my glasses back on and go to pick up Ciel, bridal style.
I go to the window and open it wide. Thankfully it was the type of window without screens. I climb onto the still and with a last fleeting look at the unmoving Sebastian and vomit, I smile. The teachers will most definitely get the wrong idea and judging from the smell of beer that was on Sebastian's breath when I was in front of him, they would conclude he was drunk.
I turned back to the open air in front of me and jumped.
From the Third floor.
Okay, that was a short chapter seeing how it was only 1,751 words. Well, at least for me that a short chapter. Mine are usually 2 or 3 thousand.
Anyways, I have a question. Obviously I will reveal Rhea's past, but how many of you want me to do it now or later? I'm fine with both because either way its fine with the plot, so it's up to you guys.
