Code Lyoko Season 5 Episode 5 – Hot Water – Part 3/3
Jeremie folded his hands over one another, observing the digital reading of the layout in Lyoko. Aelita's life points had not decreased in the slightest, but this Tarantula was proving to be a real problem. Standing next to him, Gohann was staring at the screen not having the slightest clue what was going on. He'd scratch his head occasionally.
"Hmm..." Jeremie narrowed his eyes upon seeing the girl's retreat. "Aelita, we don't have much time."
"Hey..." Gohann spoke up. Jeremie's eyes cast towards him. "This may be rude to ask, but how is playing this game supposed to help anyone back at the school? I should be over there trying to get the others out of that place."
Jeremie just looked at him before turning back to the screen. "Fine, go then. No one is keeping you here." Gohann's eyebrows raised.
"Really?"
"Yeah, really." Jeremie smirked at him. "I have an idea about how you're like. Go on and do what you can to give her more time." The boy looked down then. "I'm sorry you won't remember any of this though."
Gohann gave a hmph. "Sure." Running to the elevator, he then wore a grin and waved at him. "See you later."
Jeremie just looked at him as the elevator closed. Turning back to the screen, the genius put a hand to his chin. "Aelita... You have to work faster, if you don't, all of our friends will be killed."
The marker representing Aelita began moving again. Jeremie sighed.
"Without them, we won't be able to fight XANA off, and we can't afford to trust anyone else. Please, you guys are the only people in the world capable of fighting him." He gripped his other fist hard, his hands beginning to shake. "If we lose, XANA will take complete control of this world."

Aelita flew fast through the trees, practically circling the entire battle field, looking for any chance to surprise the monster. Narrowing her eyes, Aelita growled before charging towards the beast again. Taking aim, it began to rapidly fire upon her. Screaming out, Aelita increased her speed, lasers flying past her and hitting the front of the Overwing. As it quickly closed in on her enemy, Aelita leaped off the vehicle. With a loud cry, the Tarantula prepared to jump out of the way of the crashing vehicle, but was too slow to even have a chance at dodging it.
An explosion covered the base of the tower, wind blowing away from the area. Aelita lifted her arms to cover her eyes as small rocks and pebble flew past her. As the impact died down, Aelita looked up to see not a monster in sight. With a smile, Aelita began making a dash towards the tower.
Approaching the structure's base, she opened herself and entered.
With a slight shake, the pink-haired girl began to walk towards the center of the platform.

At the school's pool building, the water level was now rising to the top of the first level of lockers. With only two levels to stand on, it wouldn't be that long before they were engulfed in it.
Yumi pushed many of the students back and away from the water.
Meanwhile, outside of the building, the authorities along with the principal, Pierre Delmas and the Student Discipline Chief, Hunter, were making mad attempts at getting inside, unknowing of the danger awaiting when those doors opened.

Aelita landed on the second story of the tower, giving a pleasant sigh before walking forward to a floating interface. Placing her hand on it, it scanned her identity.

She smiled to herself. "Tower... Deactivated."
Turning her gaze downward, many of the floating interfaces aligning the walls started to drop and fly down into the void.

Jeremie smiled to himself. She had done it, all without the help of her companions. If it had been anything but Kankrelots and one Tarantula, she may not have made it through. Smiling, Jeremie lifted his hand over a certain key, ready to launch the protocol he already had prepared. Pressing the key, he smirked upwards towards the screen, as if XANA himself could see it.
"Return to the past now!"
And on cue, a bright beam of white shot into the sky, beginning to take over all it could devour. And before he knew it, he was now leaving the classroom of Ms. Hertz.
Turning to see his friends looking around before giving big grins toward him, Jeremie approached them and shared a clap of the hands.
"Way to go, Aelita!"
She could only close her eyes and blush. "Aw... I didn't do much, really. It was just a bunch of Kankrelots and one tarantula, there's been worse."
"Still though." Odd placed a hand onto her back. "You saved us again. And all on your own too."
"Well." She chuckled. Looking up to the lockers, she saw the familiar spiky-haired blond now closing his locker before casting his own set of green eyes at them with raising eyebrows. "If he wasn't so cooperative, I might not have made it in time." She waved at him only for him to meekly smile back and wave before turning around to head home.
Jeremie, Odd, and Ulrich turned towards him, the smartest one's smile vanishing. "Remember Aelita, he doesn't remember anything." They watched as he casually headed outside of the door. "He won't ever remember."
"I know..." Aelita said, lowering her head and smiling. "And it's better that way, I just hate how we can't thank him properly."
Ulrich folded his arms over his chest. "He's crazy. I've never seen anyone climb to the top of the pool building before and actually manage to get someone out from the window."
"What!" Jeremie cried, shocked. "He did that?"
"Yeah." Odd gave a nod. "I'll tell ya something, that kid is something else." He then smiled his way. "He's one heck of a guy."
"Yeah. Come on." Ulrich motioned for them to follow him. "William and Yumi will be waiting for us at the pool."
Jeremie was stooped. "You guys are still going to go there, after everything that happened today?"
"Yeah, why not?" Ulrich said while jogging backwards. "You coming this time?"
He shook his head. "Nah, see you guys later."
Outside, the group ran across the campus once again, avoiding the Discipline Chief this time around and quickly came in contact with the area Yumi and William were long ago.
"What the?" Odd said. The group came to a stop, looking around for the two 10th graders, but finding no evidence of them nearby. "Where'd Yumi and William go?"
Aelita chuckled before pointing a finger to the side. "Over there."
Looking towards the far entrance, they could see Yumi and William standing there with Hiroke, Johnny, and Gohann. Nodding his head, Hiroke and Johnny set off outside of the school with William trailing after them, his hands stuffed into his jean's pockets. Yumi then began to tug Gohann away from the entrance and towards the group by his arm.
"Hey guys." she greeted as they approached. "You don't mind if my cousin joins us for a swim, do you?"
The group shared wide smiled. "Sure, why not." Ulrich said. "Will William be coming back?"
Yumi nodded. "Yeah, he'll be on his way once he's dropped off my brat brother and his friend at home."
Aelita just smiled before turning to Gohann. "Can you swim?"
"Uh, yeah." He then bowed. "Thanks for having me."
She only chuckled. "You're so polite." Looking towards the side, she then began to walk towards the open doors leading into the pool building.
"Hey." Odd said with a laugh. "Gohann, if something were to happen, like all of us getting stuck inside this building with those doors being sealed, what would you do?"
"Me?" Gohann's eyebrows rose in surprise. "Um, I guess I'd try crawling through the window?" The group began to laugh, much to the boy's confusion. Patting him on the back, Ulrich began to lead him inside.
Author's Note:
Sorry this episode is so short. Next one will be full of more action.
Otherwise, I'm glad a majority of you are liking the story so far. Please continue to stick with me in the long haul and continue to review. All of your feedback is appreciated. If you can't tell by now, Gohann is pretty much a very inspired character from Gohan in Dragon Ball Z. His appearance is largely based off of how he was during the arc before the Cell Games. I wouldn't even go as far as to call him an original character to be honest. Anyway, keep reviewing and sending love, it is well received.
