Sage was still sitting in Kol's lap when they heard the main door opening. Dacia and Elijah had just returned; there was no reason to hold Kol back anymore. She merely picked up her book and abandoned the room. The following night, just before the shelling, they all went down Piccadilly to a fancy restaurant Sage had suggested. They were all wearing their finest clothes for the occasion, including Dacia. She was wearing no trousers, no boots and no boring skirts this time, Kol realized. Instead, she looked stunning with that long black silky dress and precious stones adorning her suggestive neckline. He hadn't taken his eyes off of her the entire time, how could he? Her smile lightened all the room and her eyes were especially green that day.
They were all gathered in the best table eating, or pretending, or trying to, their corresponding plates. Kol had monkfish, Elijah had frog legs, Sage was still waiting for her salad, and Dacia was not content about her soup at all, no matter how fine the ingredients were.
"Klaus will be catching a train on Monday morning and transporting the coffins to Liverpool," Dacia explained once all the plates had been served.
"Liverpool?" Kol choked on the tasty food.
"What's wrong with Liverpool?" Dacia asked, taking a sip of her chowder soup.
"It was a tasteless city that stank to urine back in the 18th century." Elijah responded behind a napkin.
"It's certainly very well communicated, though," Sage observed.
"So what's the plan?" Dacia insisted.
"I suggest talking to him first." Elijah said, after savouring the flavour of his Rioja wine.
"Bullshit!" Kol complained, fisting the table in disagreement.
Before Elijah would complain that 'they had already had this conversation', Dacia had an idea. They would try to be civil and understanding, and if that didn't work, Kol and she would fight Klaus. They were the most violent and rude of them four, after all... Judging by Kol's thoughtful stare, it seemed he was considering that option. If things got complicated, they would resist, and they would somehow manage to bring Finn and Rebekah back to life.
Once everyone agreed, they ordered a round of aguardiente and smoked cigars and cigarettes. When the alcohol went up his head, Kol placed a hand on Dacia's thigh, making her jump at the touch. Dacia cleared her throat and forced a plastic smile as Kol slid his fingertips under her dress.
"I feel like punching your face right now!" She half-muttered half-exclaimed, taking a gulp of her rosé. Kol chuckled. Her fierceness drove him crazy, and so did her rosy cheeks. At the third round of absinthe, they were all laughing at Kol's bad luck at that drinking game. They had written celebrity or character names in four cards, pass them to the person in their right, licked the back and stuck it to their foreheads. The idea was to give indications so that they would guess their corresponding celebrity names. Sage had already guessed she had Prime Minister Winston Churchill; Elijah, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Dacia, J. R. R. Tolkien.
"If you don't guess correctly in the following five minutes, I'll join Elijah and Sage in that goddamn dart game," Dacia promised, igniting the cigarette the waiter had placed in her lips, and breathing a puff of smoke out.
"Okay, so you said I'm a strange man..." Kol tried to recall all the clues he had been given before Elijah and Sage had replaced him for a round of darts. According to his companions, he was a strange and crazy man; he was a fictional character, and he was written nearly a century ago. He typically wore accessories, like a hat, and had a blonde friend... Honestly, the similarities with reality where shocking. Fortunately, Kol had known from the very beginning which his character was. He had seen Elijah write down The Hatter's name on the card.
"Why don't we go somewhere private?" Kol asked, making the card dance in his fingers. Dacia put out the fag-end of the stub of the cigarette in the ashtray.
"Thanks, but no, thanks. I said you and I was never going to happen again." Dacia said, surprised to realize not even she believed those words.
Kol had compelled a woman to feed Dacia. Somehow, they had ended up sharing the body. She had managed not to lose it over her thirst, and drained a total of one and only human while watching Kol feed beside her, too. At first, the only thing she had done was laugh. She couldn't take the hunt seriously with Kol staring at her lustfully and with hungry eyes.
Maybe that was the reason she was staring at the ceiling late at night, froze as a corpse in the morgue. Not moving, not breathing. She couldn't take Kol's staring eyes out of her mind. Besides, the bombs were falling in the neighbourhood stronger than ever before, and she was extremely worried a bomb would hit the place.
Dacia opened the bedroom door and tiptoed all through the corridor and to Kol's bedroom. She turned the doorknob and watched him as he laid there, his bare chest hardly moving up and down. She had never been to that bedroom after Kol made it his. It was as though that part of the house didn't belong to her anymore and had always been his.
She knelt beside him, shaking him delicately as she called his name. "Kol?" She quietly asked, burying her index finger somewhere in his ribs. It took a while to realize he was already awaken and violently grasping her elbow. His eyes were half-closed and groggy, but he was smirking pleasantly nonetheless.
"Well, well, isn't this a nice surprise? I knew you'd come to me someday. I'm irresistible! What do you want?" Kol kissed her hand erotically, just like the first time they met.
"I was wondering..." Dacia said hoarsely. "I couldn't sleep. The bombs are unsettling me. And I was thinking about that night in the amusement park, too... Why haven't we talked about it before?"
Kol seemed amused by seeing her stuttering. It was odd to see Dacia talk so timidly. Truth was, Kol had really feared Dacia had regretted the kiss they shared. He knew they had to talk about it eventually.
"You were right," Dacia began, covering their interlaced hands with the other one, and taking them all to her jaw line. "You truly are irresistible."
Kol raised his eyebrows in surprise. Not only he felt flattered, he was shocked! When Dacia sat on his stomach and took her shirt off, he was secretly panicking. Of course, he had seen a woman in her bra before! But he had never seen Dacia in her underwear, and her curvy figure was breathtaking. Dacia pressed her lips against his in a passionate and desperate kiss. He opened his mouth so that she could have access to his tongue. Holy crap, it felt so good! She was truly delectable.
Kol growled, fiercely grasping her waist this time and bringing her closer to enjoy every centimetre of her body. He stroked her nape and buried his fingers in her suave golden hair. Dacia moved her lips to his earlobe and bit it, and licked it, and Kol asked: "What's up with you?" And Dacia replied: "Wasn't this what you wanted all along?"
Kol chuckled, taking his hands to her flat belly and untying the lace of her pyjamas. She removed his underwear; countless of pieces of ripped clothes were now all over the floor.
He immediately switched places with her so that she was lying on the bed. She placed her legs around his waist, and Kol couldn't hide his intense erection as he met her inner thighs. He felt the urge to thrust her, but he wanted to completely strip her first. He had to undo the fastener of her brassiere first. Once he removed it, he threw it away and cupped her face, studying her bare body as though it was an exquisite art piece.
He would have started with the preliminaries, had Dacia let him. Although she quite enjoyed pre sex stimulation, she was so anxious that she wanted to get into action. Kol, however, thought that was all inappropriate. He had had meaningless sex with lots of women before and longed for a slow and passionate moment with Dacia. He didn't want to miss a bit of it.
She was kissing him again, this time visibly trying to silence him. Dacia turned into her vampire form the moment their mouths touched; she was eagerly biting his lips with his fangs... he was hard.
That's it, he couldn't take it anymore. His hands roamed her legs, urging her to stay wide open and raise them diagonally. Dacia let out a gasp when Kol pushed himself inside her, her face suddenly relaxed before even the greatest part had started. Feeling his manhood fit perfectly inside her was a brilliant sensation.
Their eyes met for a second before Kol started thrusting firmly but not roughly. They kept moving their bodies in sync; they both grinned in between moans and growls.
Sex had never been so amazing for Dacia. It had never meant anything to her, not with Leon, not with Ethan. Sometimes, she had even found it disgusting. She secretly thanked him by kissing him again, though this time, he even bled a bit. She pulled away instantly, covering her mouth as the two little blood dots healed. Sharing blood, even accidentally, was something to be taken seriously.
But Kol never minded. In fact, he was eager to try it. Still inside her, he flashed and changed to a better position so that their fangs could break the skin more easily. So she bit him, right in his carotid artery. And it was pleasing. The sexual intercourse reached its peak moment when Kol bit her, too, near her trachea. Biting someone there was not comfortable... but a vampire knew how to enjoy it.
They had exchanged blood. The mere idea overexcited them. An electric wave made them both shake. It was as though they could feel the other's emotions and mood, as though they had fused into the same being.
The pleasure took over Dacia. Her sight was turning blurry. Suddenly embarrassed, she hid her face in Kol's collarbone, gasping and moaning against it louder and louder. "Oh, my God!" She half-whispered half-exclaimed, and she had never used God's name in vain.
"You can call me Kol, darling!" He laughed. It didn't matter that Elijah would hear them. In fact, that was part of the fun.
He tried to learn Dacia's scent by heart so that he could never forget it. After all, it was likely that they were going to split apart in a few days time. In the meantime, Dacia grinned and laughed hysterically... when they climaxed, they let themselves fall somewhere between the bed sheets.
They were panting, her eyes closed and his staring at the void. They could still feel the other's energy without even touching. "This is outstanding..." He said, studying his hand. "I feel... different."
"I know!" She agreed, furtively approaching her little finger to his and feeling the electricity centimetres away from brushing. "I'm– I'm overwhelmed..." She frowned, confused. She was feeling a strange pressure in her stomach, like tiny little butterflies tickling inside her. She had never felt like that before, not even the first time she had shared blood with Ethan. This time was... magnificent and scary at the same time. She was so afraid, she felt like bursting into–
Kol glanced at her, cautious. Her eyelids were wet with teardrops, her cheeks had suddenly reddened, and her breathing was now irregular.
Was she crying? He had never seen her cry. That was definitely not the reaction he had expected after sex. He felt suddenly very uncomfortable. He could say... no, he could feel Dacia wasn't sad... those were tears of joy, tears of pure terror, too. At that point, Kol didn't know whether he was going nuts or not. He had no idea about human emotions and he typically tried to ignore those he didn't like. "Jesus Christ–"
"It's okay! It's okay!" Dacia said, and wiped her tears away. "I'm sorry! I think I know what's wrong with me. I think I'm high."
"I–" Kol was utterly confused. So freaking, horribly confused, he didn't even think about his following words, "I think I love you."
