Thank you to Wisterian Princess, More than stars in the sky, Kelly Herondale, Guest, Doclover, awesomekittycat, twilight1006, and Ydissbooksogood for reviewing last chapter where the answer was: Will and Gabriel in Clockwork Princess!
Clary opened up her eyes and glanced at the time. 7:30 AM, the analog clock blinked. She got up and picked out her clothes for her scheduled training with Sebastian this morning. She put on black track pants, a neon orange hoodie, and her favourite green Sketchers before twisting her hair up into a ponytail. She smiled when she looked at herself in the mirror. She felt happy.
Until she remembered Jace.
He came into her mind then, him and his tawny hair and eyes. She never thought she would miss him so much.
Simon walked into Taki's and sat in the booth Isabelle was in. When he sat down, she pushed over a mug. Looking inside, he found a scarlet liquid.
"Ordered you some blood," she explained.
"Thanks." He took a sip. "So, what's the big emergency?"
"It's Clary. Jace showed up last night."
Simon started choking on the blood. "What?! You're joking."
"Why would I lie about something like this?" Isabelle yell whispered. "I am not lying to you about Jace. Just like how I'm not lying to you when I say that Clary kinda made out with him last night."
Simon had to clap a hand over his mouth to prevent a spit take from happening. "What the hell? I thought she didn't remember him."
"She didn't. Until I kind of...accidentally told her about Jace."
"Izzy!" He shouted, receiving some angry glares from the other people in the restaurant.
"What? Calm down, Simon. Ease down a bit, will you?"
"Coming from the freak-out queen herself," Simon counteracted.
Isabelle opened her mouth in a half smile, half gasp formation and slapped Simon's arm from across the table. "Shut up!" she laughingly yelled, receiving the same angry glances that Simon had gotten earlier.
Magnus woke up to Chairman Meow scratching his leg.
"What do you want?" Magnus grumbled. He never truly could be a morning person.
His cat meowed and looked at Magnus' bedside table. He glanced over and saw that someone was calling him. He reached over and grabbed it. He answered the phone and put it to his ear.
"Why do you feel the absolute necessity to call me at," Magnus looked over at the clock, "7:40 in the morning?"
"I need your help, Bane."
"First of all, never call me Bane. I have an actual name. Second of all, what do you want?"
"I need you to erase a certain memory. Clary's to be exact."
"Why do you want me to do this again?" Magnus asked.
"I love her, okay? If I can ever hope to be with her again, this needs to happen."
"It amazes me what great extent you're going to for love. The love for a girl that will never be with you if you make me do this again!"
"Please, Magnus. I'm begging you. Just do it. I will go over there and not leave until you do."
Magnus sighed. Shadowhunters were always so stubborn. Whether it was Will Herondale or this Shadowhunter on the phone with him. "Fine, I'll do it, but it'll cost you a lot."
"Thanks. What do you need me to do?"
"Well for starters, you can get my dry cleaning," Magnus said with a smirk.
Clary walked into the forest clearing and found Sebastian waiting for her on a log.
"You're late," he said angrily.
"Sorry. Couldn't catch a cab and when I did, traffic was a mess," she responded.
"Oh." Sebastian got up and approached her carefully. Then, he slapped her.
Clary yelped in pain. Then, she put a hand over her throbbing cheek.
"Did you really think I wouldn't find out?!" he yelled.
"Find out about what?" she timidly replied.
"You and Jace! I saw you two making out yesterday."
Clary looked down at her feet. "I was going to tell you but-"
"But what?! Answer me!"
Clary looked up at him again. Then she grabbed her bag and ran despite the fact that Sebastian was calling after her. He caught up with her shortly after though.
"Come on," he said. He grabbed her arms and forced her to walk forward.
"Let go! Sebastian! Let go!" she begged.
"This is for your own good, Clary."
He held onto her until they reached Magnus' apartment.
"What are you doing? Why are we here?!"
He didn't answer.
Isabelle began picking out clothes for her dinner with Simon later. She didn't really have to dress up, after all it was only Simon, but she picked out dressy clothes anyway. She was torn between two outfits: a black mini dress with lace sleeves or a sleeveless silver sequined dress. She picked up the two outfits and went to Clary's room so that Isabelle could ask for her input. Except Clary wasn't there.
Strange.
Isabelle set the dresses down on the bed and pulled out her phone sending a quick text message to Clary that read: Where r u?! :O
Clary's phone buzzed in her sweater's pocket. She struggled to get out of Sebastian's hold, but instead he tightened his grip.
"What do you think you're doing?" he asked.
"Getting my phone. Someone texted me," she timidly responded. She never felt so small.
He sighed before delving into her pocket and pulling out her white phone. He typed something in.
Isabelle's phone buzzed, signaling a text message. It was from Clary.
I'm at training with Sebastian. Talk 2 u later! :*
That text was...weird. Clary never wrote with when she could just write w/. She never put in emoticons, and if she did, it was never a kissing face. She never wrote at, but always just . And most importantly, she never used 2 or u instead of to and you.
This text was not from Clary.
Something was wrong.
The next thing Clary realized was that Sebastian had strapped her in a chair in Magnus' apartment.
"Don't worry. It'll be over before you know it. I promise," Sebastian whispered as if he were talking to her as a lover.
She glared at him and bared her teeth. "Go to Hell."
"Been there, done that." Then he sloppily kissed her.
She tried pushing him away, but her hands were strapped against her sides.
"Tic toc! I don't have all day!" Magnus shouted.
Sebastian parted away from her and stood behind her, holding her shoulders down.
Magnus turned around and looked at Clary with sad eyes.
"Please, Magnus. Whatever he told you to do, please don't," she pleaded.
"I'm really sorry Clary."
Then everything turned black.
Sorry if it's short!
