I didn't know what I expected when I went home that summer at first it was fine but for some odd reason I thought that people even though they didn't know I was a witch would treat me with more respect. But in actuality they actually treated me worse.

Uncle Robert left a week after I came home I told dad all about everything there was to know about Hogwarts. Sadly I wasn't allowed to show him my magic but I told him that as soon as I was allowed to I would show him and it would be awesome.

My and Oliver owled a lot over the summer and arranged that I would go over to his house to go shopping with them and I would stay with them until September 1st and go with his family to the platform.

Sometimes dad had bad days and had to stay in bed those days so I was on my own and I would usually stay home during the summer. Until dad almost physically pushed me out of the house. And then I would take a sketchbook and notebook to the small forest that was near our house. I would find that one little creak that ran through the center of it and sit on a branch dangling my feet just inches above the water.

I would draw or write just about everything once and I while I had to quickly run away when I heard other kids approaching. They always would tease me about being mute because I didn't like talking.

I didn't tell Oliver that kids would tease me and push me around I knew he would just get all worked up about it and probably try to wrap Percy up in some messed up scheme to get back at them. Plus it was only a summer not like it was a whole school year and the only time I had to worry Is when I went outside.

As the day fast approached when Oliver would pick me up. Their family was apparating here and to pick me up I finished my homework over the hours I would spend in my room. I think I worried my dad but I didn't have any need to go outside. No friends just me and my thoughts. Which sometimes was good and other times was like a torture device it's self.

My alarm went off blinking I looked at the time. Why did I set my alarm for six-thirty? I thought sleepily hitting snooze then switching it off. Suddenly I remembered. Oliver was coming today! Hopping out of my bed I ignored the cold flooring and opening my closet doors searching for the best clothes. I had packed my trunk yesterday in anticipation.

Choosing jeans and a simple shirt was actually a lot harder than you would think it would be. But it was and it was already seven by the time I was ready to go get breakfast.

As soon as I opened the door all I could smell was pancakes. Suddenly even more hungry then I was before I jumped down the remaining stairs. Smiling brightly as I entered the kitchen I grabbed a plate from the counter standing impatiently next to my dad.

"Doing everything faster doesn't mean that he's going to get here any faster." Dad said putting a few pancakes on my plate. I make a face and he laughs.

"Do you have your trunk packed?" He asks like he doesn't already know. I was running around the house yesterday making sure I had everything.

"Yes dad."

"Homework done?"

"Yes dad."

"Ready to go back to school?"

"Yes!"

"That's my girl!" He says with a smile and I smile back.

"You going to be okay on your own until winter break?" I ask him worried because Uncle Robert weren't taking care of him this year.

"Don't worry about it I'll be fine sweetheart." He says kissing me on top of the head as he sits down with his own pancakes.

The rest of the meal is passed mostly with jokes and teasing and I keep getting more and more anxious waiting for Oliver. I was excited to see his home and where he grew up. But mostly I was excited to see him. I wondered how much he had grown over the summer. Maybe he had shoot up a whole foot!

The clock slowly moved towards nine when they were to arrive. As eight fifty came I was sitting on my trunk in the living room tapping my food waiting to get out of here. Just as the clock hit nine the doorbell rang. I literally couldn't open the door fast enough. There he stood his mom and dad on either side of him. He hugged me literally lifting me off the ground. I was right he had grown pretty tall. Not quite a foot but still plenty much and I had look up to talk to him.

His parents and my dad talked for a while as we sat down.

"So, how was your summer?" He asked I knew that he already knew because we had owled so much but I answered anyway.

"Fine, boring though compared to Hogwarts of course." He nodded.

"Same." He opened to his mouth for what seemed like another question but his mom cut him off.

"Well we should be off. It was nice meeting you John." She said turning to us I grabbed misty and Oliver grabbed my trunk hauling it out to the driveway. After making sure that nobody was watching Mrs. Wood grabbed my arm.

"Hold on tight." She says and I feel like I'm being squeezed through a toothpaste tube. And all I can do is hold on to misty as hard as I can until we finally stop and I fall to the ground coughing.

After a few minutes Oliver and Mr. Wood appear as well and Oliver laughs at me as I shakily stand up glaring at him. And soon we begin bickering and I truthfully don't ever remember arguing with somebody with such a large smile on my face before.
