HeorieOtaku: Nice to see you guys all again. It's almost christmas and the last time I posted, it was almost halloween I think. Well, atleast I haven't given up on this thing (Actully, I have a whole load of ideas for this story now. :D) But as for me, I've been doing good. I hope you guys are doing okay as well. I honestly don't know what else to say. So I guess...enjoy the chapter.
P.S. I don't own any of the characters (besides some O.C. characters you will meet...sometime soon.)
Chapter 9
Just some more adorables...
Levy had gone through not even a fourth of the Fairy tail History book, when she read something about a book of ancient spells. So after she went and found it, to my surprise for sure, I found myself looking at the empty book while she read the ancient magic book.
It was getting late, and I knew the two Dragon-slayers would be walking in any minute now. "I've got something!" I jumped as Levy quickly ran over to my side and handed the book of she had been reading to me. "Its right here in the time magic. She pointed towards some part in the middle of the paper.
Quickly, I tried to figure out exactly what she was pointing. "So." I said. "We have more info." This is good. The more info, the better. I should probably read it.
I continued to read as she spoke to me. " Yeah. But the magic seems to have both some things that are not explained as well as some things that the magic can't do." As I finished the reading I looked up at her and nodded in agreement. "It also, as we can assume by some of it...side effects...it was banned of use because of it and lost in history."
There was confusion, but at the same time, everything was slightly piecing together. "Then somehow this spell called...um..." I looked at the book. "...avera! That's it!"
A small triumphing smile crossed my face for a second, followed by a almost non-existent laugh, before going back to the serious conversation. "Anyways, like I was saying...Avera can cause illusions from back in time. But from what it say's there is almost always minor mistakes because they have to have a very vivid picture of whatever time they want to came being said..."
Levy then interrupted and finished what was going on in my mind. "...unless they combed the area very much, there would be minor mistakes in the making. You would have to have a picture of it alone, and everything." I smiled in agreement. I was so happy at this moment. Now all we have find out is how they cast the spell on Natsu and the others, then stop whoever did it. We are so close to solving it!
"Let's go tell the Natsu and the others, Levy. I'm sure they would love to know this!" Levy and I both shrieked with joy and started jumping up and down with delight.
Quickly we both ran to out the door and towards the library. This could be our best break yet!
(Special prospective. :D)
"What do you mean that they are beginning to transform back!" The master barked at me. I felt scared, as always, but kept my ground.
"I-It's just as I said. The members we turned into Neko's from fairy tail are beginning to turn into their former self." My body shook slightly without my knowledge. It tended to do that when I was around the master.
He stroked his chin that was covered in strangely, dark brown hairs. "Well then. Guess that we should do something about it." A mischievous laugh came out of him. "There is no way Fairy Tail, the lowest of them all, can top my skills. Revolence!"
"Yes, your Highness?" Revolence ran up and bowed before him.
I watched as His Highness laughed. "Go cast 'The' spell."
Revolence jumped up in surprise. "But sir, if we cast it there will be catastrophic damage, and you know that-"
"Silence!" He was cut off. "Since you so kindly reminded me of this, I have decided that we shall instead wait it out. Let's see if they can learn their place." A smirk crossed his lips. "Now both of you, be gone!" Quickly we both went out of the chamber without hesitation.
Once we were outside, I looked over to Revolence. "Hey, don't you think that this is pointless since all we are doing is putting a bad reputation on our guild if we are caught?"
A nod of agreement came from him. "Yeah, I know. But honestly, what can we do about it, Triton. You know how powerful Master is. I love the guild, but I do agree with you. It's too far." He sighed. "Plus, not to mention the strain all this magic is putting on us."
Looking around the mountain, I saw some flowers blooming. "You know, I think that if we left now, we could possibly go to another guild. Normally people would think of one as a madman if they spoke of their own guild ill. But, in all reality I don't' care about that. I want a family to live with, but this is no family." There was silence.
Then he spoke. "I agree. If only we could go and be in Fairy Tail. Now that would be something."
"Yeah." I smiled as we both sat down in the soft grass. "It would be something."
(Back to Lucy and Levy)
When Levy and I stepped into the library that we had left recently, I saw Natsu (and also Gajeel to my surprise) Sleeping in their seats with a couple blank books under both their hands. Natsu is still so cute when he sleeps.
Levy, unlike me was not as enthused by the sleeping dragon slayers. So she walked right up to Gajeel and pulled on his ear. Gajeel snapped up and tried to hit the target that was pulling on his ear, only to be stopped by the ominous look Levy was giving him. "What are you two doing sleeping?" Levy tapped her foot on the ground.
"What? It's not our fault you guys took half the day reading." He grumbled, probably upset that he was awoken. A small finger was pointed at Natsu. "What about it?" Gajeel said.
"Lucy." I jumped a bit surprised at the mention of my name. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you, but could you wake him?"
I looked over at the sleeping Natsu. An image then popped in my head of an experience before with him sleeping. Well that was out of nowhere. I totally remember that, though. I smiled slightly, still a bit nervous to what might happen when he awakes.
Walking up to him i shook him a tiny bit. "un.." There was no response besides a slight moan. I shook him a bit more. "L-let me sleep...Luce...no...don't..." He jumped up suddenly out of his seat, sending the chair flying. "No Happy!" Natsu blinking a few times and looked around. "Wha-" After fixing the chair and a few glares his way, he stood back up making his eyes meet mine. "Lucy! When did you get here!"
Oh, Natsu. You will never change...Not that I want you to, or anything. I sighed. "I just got here and you were sleeping. What happened to looking, anyways?" I pouted a bit.
"I'm sorry Luce. I just was so..." He, funny enough, yawned mid-sentence and continued. "...tired. Did you find any thing in the book?" I followed his finger that pointed towards where the book Levy was holding.
I had almost forgot that Levy and Gajeel was here. Funny how that happens. "Oh, yeah!" I went over to Levy and we flipped the pages till we found the spell. "Here." I set it on the table, everyone gathering around. "It's called avera."
"What's called avera?" Natsu looked at us confused.
Levy gave him a slight stir of irritation for a second, then sighed. "Just wait a minute and let us explain." Taking a deep breath, she explained all the things that only added to our idea, thus making them just as excited to find this as Levy and I were.
"See what I was saying. This takes up, like, at least thirty percent of the mystery." Natsu and Gajeel looked both at Levy and I, then back to the book. No sound was limited for a moment.
Natsu was the one to break the silence."And you gathered that much from a measly book! What else could there be hidden that we don't' know about! Who was the one to find it, anyways?" I pointed to Levy. "Thank you so much Levy. And Lucy...hm..." He went around the table and gave me a huge grin before attacking me with a hug. He whispered in my ear. "I didn't get to give you this earlier for helping so much. Although, I will admit, this doesn't seem like what I was going to do earlier, but this will do for now."
Natsu...I really...I really...I hugged him back and began to whisper back in his ear. "Your welcome. Hey, Natsu. I think that I..."
"What are you talking about?" I jumped back, yet again because I forget that Levy and Gajeel were standing right there.
"N-nothing. He just was saying thank you. For helping so much." I could feel my whole face burning red and my heart beating like nothing i could describe. Dang that was close. If I confessed now...I don't know what I would do. He doesn't even remember everything and would think I am crazy. "So. Anyways. Now that we have gotten that out of the way..."
*Beep* "The library will be closing in ten minutes. Please go check out any books that you would like to." *Beep*
Yes! The perfect opportunity to get out of the awkward situation! "We should probably head home. The library is closing and it's getting dark out."
"I agree on that Levy. I know you want to search more, but we need our sleep and I don't want to walk home in the dark." Gajeel had a look of pure concern.
Levy frowned. "Fine." We all walked out the door, and with a 'goodbye' we departed our separate ways.
Unintentionally, I found myself holding Natsu's hand while we walked. I practically hear my heart pounding in the silent night. It was already beginning to get dark out. Stars were appearing. "What a beautiful sight. I smiled.
Natsu's eyes glanced down at me. "Yeah. I agree. You look very nice." W-what! Did he just compliment me? I should be used to it because other guys do it all the time. It's called flirting. But it's never on my side, and Natsu...
My cheeks reddened slightly. "Thanks."
"Oh, by the way, what were you about to say earlier before you were cut off? I didn't quite catch it." I stopped for a moment. Slowly, my mind began to panic. What should I say! I can't say it now! But I don't want to seem stupid...but then again, knowing Natsu...
Suddenly it popped in my head. Perfect. And it still hints at it if he isn't extremely thick scolled as I used to think. " I was just saying that i think I like being able to help you. It makes me happy."
Natsu smiled a sullen smile, then a few tears dropped. "I'm scared Lucy. I've been thinking about this lately. I want to make you happy, but something tells me that I might not be the same person you knew from before. And if that happens, I'm scared you will not like me anymore..." Another tear fell as he began to sob.
What? No! "Natsu, I will care about you no matter what. We will get Fairy Tail back. And what's more is I will get you back. Even if you don't get your memories completely back, which you will get them back, you will still be family. I will still love you as a part of my family. No matter...what..." I began to get teary-eyed as well. "Dang-it Natsu. Don't think those things." Walking over to him, we cried in eachothers arms silently for a few minutes.
After a while, Natsu pulled away and put his palms on my cheeks, wiping my tears away. I reached up and did a similar thing. "Thank you Lucy. I don't know what my life would be like without you." He smiled. This time for real. No tears. "Let's get home."
Holding out his hand, I took it and we intertwined our fingers."Yes." I said in almost a whisper. "Let's get home."
As soon as we both got home, we gazed at the stars through my bedroom window until we grew sleepy. Then we fell asleep, both having gone through a long, tough day. Of course, as everyone already knew, this was not one of our first long days. But also will not be our last.
HeorieOtaku: Well thanks for continuing to read my stories, guys. You all make me so happy. Especially reading the few reviews I've gotten. It seems that you all like it so far.
