Neal's P.O.V

I carefully made my way to the warehouse where I knew Mozzie was currently living. "What are you doing here Neal" Mozzie asked. "I wouldn't usually follow you but by now, I know when you're up to something" I answered. "I trust you weren't followed" Mozzie said, looking at me suspiciously. I raised my left pant leg revealing no tracker and with that, he led me to table filled with thousands of jewels. "How many years of jewels in this collection" I asked, scanning the pieces.

"Many years Neal; you aren't wearing a wire either, are you" Moz asked in reply. "No" I told him, looking over the jewels and making mental notes to tell Peter. I hated the thought of betraying Mozzie but these really needed to go back to the proper owners. I finally spotted the necklace and asked "Could you tell me about this necklace?" "Yeah, I've held on to this for a long time, actually since before I left Detroit. I lifted it from a family, last name was Christenson" Mozzie replied. "Why have you held on to this particular necklace" I asked, still looking at it.

"Do you know how hard it is to score Victorian style necklaces especially with emeralds? That is bound to bring in the bids" Mozzie replied. I nodded and continued looking around as Mozzie excused himself to the bathroom. Right then, I took the chance to switch the necklaces. I put the fake just as the real one had been, hid the real one in the pouch and hid that in my jacket before hurrying out of the warehouse and called a cab.

Once in the cab and a good distance away, I called Ana. "Are you alright" she asked. "I'm safe Ana. I have the necklace and am on my way back. We'll need to hide it though until we can return it to your friend" I answered. "Good, I've been wearing your tracker just to keep Peter from suspecting anything" she told me. "Good work beautiful and I'll be there soon" I replied. Minutes later, I got back to the house and paid the fare before going inside and back to my room where Ana was waiting. "Good work handsome" she said, taking my hand. I showed her the necklace and she smiled softly. "You are still an amazing snitch" she whispered. I kissed her deeply and then went to store it in a safe until we would travel to Virginia in the morning and put my tracker back on me. I had also changed the combination so that only Ana and I would know it.

Once I had hidden the necklace; we made sure we were ready for tomorrow and Ana put my tracker back in its usual place. When she had done that, I looked at my phone and turned to Ana. "Time for us to go take Satchmo for his walk" I told her. We grabbed our jackets and set off for Peter and Elizabeth's house. Maybe this move to New York would fully help Ana and I become much closer.

Ana's P.O.V

Neal and I left the house and set off toward the Burke's house. It was mid rush hour as we kept walking, arriving at the house around 6:30pm. When Neal knocked on the door, I immediately heard excited barking. "Let me guess, that must be Satchmo" I said, looking at him. "Yeah, be ready for him to jump on you" Neal answered as the door opened.

El invited us in and I got acquainted with Satchmo as Peter and Elizabeth left for their evening out. Neal had told Peter that he could pick Satchmo up at our place later. After they had gone, Neal got Satchmo's leash and the roll of baggies in case Satchmo did any business and we locked up the house and set the alarm.

We made our way down the street and towards the park. Neal held Satch with one hand and had his left arm around me. So, what do you think of these New York nights" Neal asked as we continued our walk. "It's nice to have a view that I can enjoy night after night. When I traveled with the BAU for cases, the views from the hotels were never as memorable as this" I answered as we stopped for Satchmo to sniff a bush and to relieve himself. "Want me to hold Satchmo while you pick up the mess" I asked.

He handed me the leash and then opened a baggie to get the mess. I secretly stared but tried to look away. "See something you like back there Miss Garcia" he asked, now standing as I scratched Satchmo's back. "Who says I was watching you" I asked, teasing slightly. "Cause I felt that intensity that only staring into your beautiful baby blue eyes gives off" he answered, throwing the baggie into the trashcan and taking a wipe out of his jacket and cleaning his hands off before throwing it out too.

We had just resumed walking and were now halfway through the park and starting back toward his place when I heard a female voice call "Neal!" I saw a woman with red hair stand up from a bench. "Neal, who is she" I asked. "Stand close by, she's an ex I let go of a long time ago" he whispered before he turned to the other woman and asked "Sara, why you are here? I though you made it clear you were staying in London permanently."

The woman called Sara strolled over seductively and replied "You don't have to know all the details. Sterling Bosh called me back to help with a problem and then I'll head back but as long as I'm in town, want to get together for old time's sake?" I saw Neal roll his eyes and he replied "I can't because one: you made it clear before you left that we were through and you were quite cold about it that I couldn't forgive you."

"What's two" Sara asked. That when I finally cleared my throat and Neal smiled at me as I replied "I'm reason two and I'm Agent Anastasia Garcia and yes, I'm his girlfriend. I think Neal has made it clear you're the past and I have his heart. Now, if you'll excuse us Sara, Neal and I will be off." Neal smiled that Cheshire cat grin of his as he took my hand and I gently nudged Satchmo, who had been sitting at my ankles, and we continued our walk back to his place.

It was around 9pm when we got back to the house and we took Satchmo upstairs. He plopped down on the floor and I sat on the couch. "Ana, I'm really sorry about Sara showing up like that" Neal said, handing me a glass of sparkling ginger ale. "It's fine and she's the one who should be sorry. She lost a real jewel" I told him as he sat beside me and I took my glass. He smiled warmly and asked "What time are we leaving?"

"Our flight leaves around 6am but we have to be there around 5am so I'll say we get up at 4am. I'll give you the new tracker before we leave" I answered, taking a sip. At that second, my phone rang and I saw it was Penelope. "Could I have a sister moment" I asked. "Sure and I'll fix us a couple of sandwiches" he answered, getting up. I answered my phone and talked to my sister awhile.

"Hey sis, what time does your plane land" Penelope asked. "Around 8am maybe 8:30am if it takes a little while. I still have my key and can let myself in" I told her. "Great, everyone is also coming over to help you pack. Maybe before you leave, we could do a group dinner" Penelope suggested. "That'd be nice and I hope maybe I'll see you all if you all happen to be in New York" I told her. "You will" she assured me as Neal came back with a plate of sandwiches for us to share. "Alright, I have to go now. Neal made dinner and then we need to make sure we're ready to leave" I told her. "Alright, see you in the morning or afternoon. Later sis" Penelope answered before we hung up. "Your sister excited about you coming" Neal asked, sitting the plate on the table. "Yeah and she can't wait to officially meet you and neither can everyone else" I told him, taking a sandwich. "I really hope they like me" he replied, eating his own sandwich.

"I'm sure they will if they see the same sweet guy that I see" I replied, taking a sip of ginger ale and giving him a reassuring smile. "Ana, you're the sweetest and you have no clue how much I love you and how I look forward to having you here permanently" Neal said, now holding my hands. "Hmm, can you give me a clue as to how much" I asked. "It would be my pleasure Ana" he replied with that cute smirk of his. He leaned in and was about to kiss me when Satchmo got up and jumped between us, licking Neal in the face. I couldn't help but have a fit of giggles. "Okay Satch, we love you too but that really wasn't necessary" Neal commented as he got up and washed his face as Satch sat and wagged his tail.

I gave Satchmo a treat and he calmed down until we heard footsteps and a knock at the door that caused Satchmo to bark once. "Why don't I show you in a moment" Neal asked as we got up again. He went to answer the door while I put Satchmo back on his leash. "I trust Satchmo was no trouble" Peter asked as I brought Satchmo over. "Not at all, he was well behaved" Neal answered as I gave Peter the leash back.

"What time are you two leaving" Peter asked. "About 4 am to get to the airport and we'll land about noon or so since we're using June's jet" I answered. "Alright, have a safe trip and Ana, keep him out of trouble" Peter told us as he walked out with Satchmo. "That won't be a problem since he won't be leaving my sight" I replied and we closed the door.

I yawned and was about to retire to my room but he took my hand and said "Join me tonight and that way, we'll be able to get the other up so we don't miss our flight." "Hmm, tempting offer Neal. Can I change first" I asked. "Alright, I'll be waiting" he told me, kissing my cheek. I left and hurried to change into my pajamas.

Once ready, I walked out onto the patio and across to his bedroom. "Kept me waiting darling" Neal whispered playfully, patting the spot on bed beside him. "Awe, how can I make it up to you" I asked, playing along as I sat beside him. "How about a good night kiss" he asked, leaning closer and kissing me softly. I kissed back as we got under the blankets and I set my phone's alarm clock. We both relaxed and I soon fell asleep in his arms. I couldn't wait for what our visit to Virginia would hold.
