Chapter 7:

Percy smiled at himself in the mirror located in the Poseidon Cabin, the nice outfit he was wearing looking quite good on him, at least in his opinion. He turned away from the mirror and looked at the young son of Hades sitting on one of the cabin's beds, a bored look on his face. "Well," Percy asked "How do I look?"

Nico looked him over for a moment before shrugging. "Whipped."

Percy frowned. "I'm not whipped." He insisted.

"That's just what a whipped guy would say." Nico said, smirking. "A few kisses and Calypso's already got you taking her out on expensive dates in the city."

"Nico," Percy said "we're only going to the movies, that's not very expensive, and it was my idea."

"Ah, that's just what she wants you to think, she was able to put the idea in your head somehow, it's just something women can do." Nico said. Percy raised an eyebrow.

"How would you know? You've never had a girlfriend." Percy said. Nico's eyes widened.

The son of Hades silently sat there for a few moments before nodding in defeat. "Fair point." He conceded.

Percy smirked in victory before moving away from the mirror and walking over to the desk beside his bed, grabbing his wallet and checking how much money was inside. Nico's eyes widened as he saw Percy open the wallet, he saw a few hundred dollar bills at least, along with quite a lot of twenties.

"How did you get so rich?" Nico asked in disbelief. Percy glanced to his cousin and smiled.

"You'd be surprised how many gifts of drachma a person gets when they're one of the most famous demigods of our time." Percy explained "So I just asked Chiron to take the drachma and give me what it would be equal to in normal money."

"I see."

Percy quickly pocketed his wallet and walked toward the door. "Alright Nico, we need to head over to the Aphrodite Cabin, Piper said she and the rest of the girls are giving Calypso a makeover."

"Gods protect her." Nico said, causing Percy to laugh as he left his cabin and began his walk to the Aphrodite Cabin, the son of Hades following close behind.

Percy turned to the younger demigod as they walked through the camp. "Alright, you remember the plan Nico?"

Nico nodded. "Yeah, it is pretty simple after all. I just shadow-travel you and Calypso to the city, then leave so I don't ruin your date."

Percy nodded. "And don't forget to come and pick us up a few hours from then." He reminded.

"Yeah, I would hate to leave my rich friend in a city full of cabs, how would you ever get home?" Nico teased. Percy just rolled his eyes.

"Why would I take a normal cab when I have Nico's Shadow-Travel Cabs, they're so much quicker."

"You're just lucky I don't charge you like a normal cabby would." Nico said, then stopped when both he and Percy reached the Aphrodite Cabin.

Percy quietly walked up to the door, knocking on it. "Hey Piper, I'm here! Is Calypso ready?" He called, then frowned when he heard a chorus of giggles and squels from inside the cabin. He glanced back at Nico, who just shrugged.

The two waited another moment before the door opened, revealing a smirking Piper. She looked Percy over for a moment before nodding. "You'll be amazed at how great she looks." Piper said confidently before she waved for someone to step forward from inside the cabin.

Percy's eyes widened as Calypso stood before him, even he had to admit the Aphrodite cabin had did an amazing job with the makeover. Calypso now wore a black strapless dress that reached just above her knees, along with matching black heels. Her hair was completely undone and reached a decent ways down her back, though still looked quite amazing to Percy. With all of her beauty, Percy could still tell she wore no makeup, which still amazed him

Calypso looked down at the ground shyly. "How do I look?" She asked quietly.

Percy continued to stare at her in awe for a moment before coming to his senses. "You look amazing." He said, causing Calypso's cheeks to flush.

Piper smiled at the sight and lightly pushed Calypso down the steps and towards Percy. She glanced over to the son of Hades. "Alright Nico, get them outta here and on their date." She said.

Nico nodded, thankful that he would be able to Shadow-Travel from their current position. Percy lightly took Calypso's hand and placed his other hand on Nico's shoulder. "Hold on tight." Nico warned Calypso "First time Shadow Travel can make you feel a bit woozy afterwards."

Calypso's grip tightened on Percy's hand, causing the son of Poseidon to give her a comforting smile. Calypso smiled back and closed her eyes, preparing for some odd experience, but all she felt was a few seconds of cold air before hearing Nico's voice. "We're here."

Her eyes opened and she was shocked to see all three of them were standing in a large alley just off of one of New York's many streets. She glanced at the end of the alley and saw many people walking by on one of the streets, not a single person noticing their sudden appearance.

"Thanks Nico." Percy said, smiling. The son of Hades nodded in return.

"I'll be back once your movie is over." Nico said before silently disappearing back into the shadows. Percy watched his friend disappear then looked at Calypso, a large smile on his face.

"Shall we?" He asked, offering her his hand. Calypso smiled and took it gratefully. The two quickly left the alley and began to walk down the busy street toward the movie theater that Percy had picked as their destination.

The two soon reached the movie theater, Percy opening the door for Calypso. Her eyes widened as she stepped in, Percy smiled at her reaction. Calypso looked around the room in amazement at the various people that crowded in the large room, and the dozens of posters showing new films.

"First time in a theater?" Percy asked, already knowing the answer. Calypso nodded as she looked back to Percy.

"Yes, it's very interesting. It's different from how I thouhgt it would be when you described it." She admitted. Percy nodded and gently pulled her over to the ticket line. Soon enough, it was Percy's turn to buy his tickets. He bought two tickets for a romantic-comedy, as Piper suggested, and popcorn and drinks for Calypso and himself. They then made their way to the room where their movie would be shown, and quickly took their seats.

The commercials started soon after, the large screen once again shocking Calypso, and soon after that, the film started.

About halfway through the film, Percy noticed that Calypso reall didn't understand the jokes, as she didn't know the references that the characters were making, though she did seem to understand the romantic part of the movie, as Percy would often glance over and notice that her emotions seemed to mirror the movie, whenever something bad happened with the couple in the film, Calypso would seem quite depressed, and whenever something good happened, she seemed extremely happy.

Eventually, the film was over and the couple left the theater and began their walk towards the alley where Nico would hopefully be waiting on them. Calypso's grip tightened on Percy's hand and she affectionately rested her head on his shoulder. Percy glanced down at her and smiled. "Enjoy the movie?" He asked. Calypso smiled and nodded.

"I did, thank you for taking me." She said happily. Percy smiled and nodded. "You and I will be together forever, right Percy, like the couple at the end of the movie?"

Percy nodded. "Yeah, though hopefully we don't have to go through all of that drama they had to go through."

"We've had enough drama already." Calypso pointed out, making Percy nod in agreement.

The two soon reached the alley and saw the son of Hades waiting on them. "Took you long enough." Nico muttered. Percy chuckled and both he and his girlfriend touched one of Nico's shoulders, and they quickly traveled back to the camp.

As soon as they reached camp, Nico quickly departed toward his cabin, wanting to give the couple some more time alone. "Piper mmentioned you were going to be staying at Aphrodite Cabin tonight." Percy pointed out, making Calypso nod.

"Yes, she and the other Aphrodite campers wanted to have a sleepover." Calypso said as the two began the walk to the Aphrodite Cabin. "Will we be going anywhere next weekend?" She asked. Percy smiled and shrugged.

"I can probably think of somewhere to go." He said with a smug smile, causing Calypso to giggle.

The two stopped as they reached the Aphrodite Cabin, Calypso smiled as she looked at Percy. The two leaned toward the other and their lips met in a soft kiss, and after a few moments, they pulled apart.

"I love you." Percy said softly. Calypso smiled and nodded.

"And I love you, my hero." She said. She quickly gave him one more kiss on the cheek then turned and entered the Aphrodite Cabin, a series of giggles coming fro within the Cabin.

Percy smiled and began the walk back to his cabin, silently wondering how he got so lucky to have Calypso in his life.
