So here is the seventh chapter. Enjoy!

"Another reminder please. Why are we doing this again?"

It was Friday afternoon, and all of them were packing for the trip. Since Bevin proposed, or rather imposed, this trip on them they had been ignoring each other like the plague. They were going to spend 48 hours with them, alone, in the middle of freaking nowhere, might as well avoid them as often as they could. The idea wasn't more thrilling even with the days passing, they didn't get used to it, it was just more of a burden to them. Imagine spending 48hours locked in a house with your enemies, the ones who hurt you most, to try and get along again, to make truce, one that you didn't call for in the first place. A week-end is supposed to be fun, relaxing and spent with people you love. And the one they were going to have this week was none of the above.

"Brooke, for the millionth time, it's that or losing the cheerleading squad." Mandy sighed

"I know. But I need to be reminded every now and then or I'll lose my mind." She said while putting a different nail polish for the ninth time.

"A little too late for that." Mandy mumbled

"I heard that." She scolded. "Speaking of losing my mind, where is Haley?"

Of them all, Haley was the one who hated this idea the most. This war thing was hard on her when it started, she barely got used to it. Drew was kind of her brother. When Mandy and him got together, Haley and him got really close. He was her go to (other than Lucas) and she was his. When she wasn't with the girls, she was either with Lucas and Nathan or with him. She really didn't take it well that he chose Rachel and Nathan over them. Sure, Mandy was the most affected by the Drew thing, since she was head over heels, but that didn't mean that it didn't hurt Haley almost as much. And to top it all, she lost Nathan; or more specifically, he left her. He gave up on her. And this is when she hit the bottom. She and Nathan were pretty much inseparable before this thing started. Everyone knew that once you messed with Haley, you had to face Nathan. He was her better half, as Brooke used to say. And when he turned her back to her, all those emotions she felt blew up in her face. It took her time to trust anyone else, and it took her time to be herself and go back to the surface. And now that she got used to it, and almost over it, she had to spend 48 hours with them - with him. And go through it all, again.

"I don't know." Mandy answered "I didn't see her after the practice." She closed her suitcase. "Didn't she have tutoring today?"

"No." Brooke said "I mean yes. But she had to cancel it to pack her bags. And she wasn't home when I was packing my bags." She said trying another nail polish after removing the other.

"Ok Brooke." Mandy turned to her "Put that nail polish down and everything will be fine."

"Haha very funny Mandarin" Brooke said.

"You did NOT just use my full first name!" Mandy said jumping for her suitcase towards Brooke.

Brooke put the nail polish down and started getting up to get away before Mandy got to her. She started running in the house screaming for help. Not that anybody would hear. Mandy's parent were in Las Vegas for a month, and she didn't have siblings, so they were pretty much alone in the house.

"Ok." Brooke said stopping to take a breath putting her hands in front of her for defense "Ok." She repeated breathless. "Let me get back my breath first and…" She stopped for a minute. "I really need to take a breath."

"Oh please Drama Queen." Mandy rolled her eyes "You are the cheerleading captain, you workout like 24/7" She said "Anyways, let's go, or we're going to be late"

"What about Haley?" Brooke said as she heard her phone buzz. She took it from the table seeing it was a text from Haley "Oh wait. She just texted me." She said reading the text "She'll meet us at Bevin's before we leave."

oooooooo

"Where were you earlier?" Brooke whispered towards Haley.

They were in one of the two cars that was taking them to Bevin parent's cabin. Since it was her idea, Bevin decided that she will choose who will ride with who. And there they were, the two of them stuck in a car for the upcoming 3hours with Rachel Gatina and Nathan Scott. The ride has been silent for the past hour, which was weird since Rachel was there. Bevin was in the front seat since she was the one driving. In the back seat sat Rachel next to Nathan facing a very pissed off Brooke and a pensive Haley looking out the window.

"I needed sometime to myself." She said, not turning her head from the window. Brooke understood that her friend was in no mood to talk, so she let it go. She'll ask her later.

Nathan hasn't turned her eyes from her since the car ride started. But she was too much in her thought to notice, but that wasn't Brooke's case. She glared at him, but that didn't do any good. She was really starting to boil with anger. Luckily for Nathan, Rachel had other plans for him than ending up Brooke's ticket to prison. Turning his head towards her with her hand and putting her lips on his, Rachel took Nathan's attention from Haley. Nathan was taking aback by her action, but who was he to say no to her? After all she was his girlfriend, wasn't she? The kiss was passionate, it didn't take her long before Rachel ran the tip of her tongue along his bottom lip asking for entrance, which he granted, earning him a moan from Rachel. As their tongue started dueling for dominance, they heard a groan.

"Ugh I saw a tongue" Said a disgusted Brooke "Oh my God. My eyes!" She said blinking. "I'm scared for life."

That got Haley's attention, who until now hasn't turned her head from the window. Seeing the show going in front of her, she just rolled her eyes. Their lips had just unlocked, and they both turned their attention towards the girls.

"Is there a problem?" Rachel said, a little pissed that they were the reason they had to break their make out session.

Her question was clearly directed towards Haley, who choose not to answer, giving Brooke the opportunity.

"Yeah." Brooke said "We just had a snack, and I'd rather my food stays in my stomach rather than on the car seats, thank you very much"

Rachel just rolled her eyes before putting her hand on Nathan's knee and glaring at Brooke. They resumed doing what they were doing before, in silence until they reached their destination.

oooooooo

"No." Brooke said, more pissed off than ever.

They were sitting around the fireplace after settling down in their rooms. Bevin had giving them 2 hours before she asked them to join her in "the living room"; to break the ice, she asked them to play a truth game, gaining immediately a negative answer from Brooke.

"It's either that, or everyone will talk about the others, expressing their feelings." Bevin said

"Oh no. I'm sure as hell not doing that." Mandy said.

They all sat their in silence, agreeing silently with Mandy.

"Ok then." Bevin said "I'll ask the questions, and each of you will answer when it's their turn."

They all nodded, reluctantly . She started asking basic questions to make them feel at ease, and to see the truthful side of them. So far, everything was fine, no comment has been thrown, no mean glares, and no sighs. Everything was going well, that was before everything got complicated.

"Why so you think this little war of yours started?" Bevin said "And remember, honesty." She turned to Peyton. "You go."

"Honestly?" She began "I don't have any idea. One day we were all in talking terms, and out of the blue, groups were being formed."

"Lucas?"

"I think it has something to do with Nathan." He said, stopping a little beat, turning to his best friend "and Haley."

"Drew?"

"Same thing."

"Rachel?"

"As everybody already knows, Haley and Nathan, well they "grew apart" or whatever. And Nathan and I grew closer, and that drove Haley insane." She said in her bitchy voice.

"Bite me." Brooke mumbled, getting Bevin's attention.

"Brooke? You have an idea?"

"No comment." She said.

"Honesty, Brooke." Bevin commented.

"Well last time I checked, no comment was not a lie. It just states that I don't want to comment on that." She was being defensive.

"But you have to answer."

"It's not my place, so I won't."

"Brooke.." Bevin semi-warned.

Brooke turned towards Haley who nodded. The sooner they talk, the sooner they will get over with this. "It's okay." Haley mouthed.

"So? Brooke?" Bevin tried again.

"Fine, I know." She said sighing.

"You know?" Mandy said surprised.

"As you know the source of this war?" Peyton followed.

"Yes. I know." She said.

"Why then? Why are we in this war?" Drew said.

They all turned their attention towards Brooke, who looked at Haley for approval. Haley nodded again, giving her permission. This was it; this was the moment of truth. After she will open her mouth, when the words will leave her mouth, nothing will ever be the same again. Friendships will be tested, relationships will be questioned, rivals will be challenged, and everything will be turned upside down. This question has been in everyone mind for the past two years, and the answer was about to come out in a matter of seconds. The answer everyone was looking for. The answer that has it all.

"Nathan cheated on Haley." She said.

Hearing those three words would have been easy, that didn't surprise any of them, hearing them alone, was not a big deal. That didn't deserve two years of agony and hatred.

"With her sister." She continued. "In her bed."

And there it was; six words, six words that meant more than any others. Leaving everybody open mouthed, looking from Nathan to Haley, her, with her head down, and him, with a surprised and confused expression on his face. They all knew it. This week end has just taken a whole other turn.
