"That's for getting me wet!" She yelled laughing as the demon lord came up sputtering, his white hair a wet mess. Ten minutes later everyone was swimming and playing games in the water and basically enjoying themselves as the sun shone down on them.
"So you don't remember anything?" Sango asked Kohaku as they sat together in the garden watching the sunset in the distance. Kohaku shook his head before looking at the ground sadly.
"I do remember something, but I'm not sure about it." Kohaku said simply as the sun finished setting and they sat in comfortable silence as the heat of the day slowly cooled down as stars began to appear one by one in the darkening sky.
"What is it?" Sango asked curiously just as she heard a call for dinner nearby. Kohaku smiled and rubbed her head playfully as he stood up and dusted off his tunic before walking back inside and towards the dining hall with Sango close behind him.
.
"Sesshoumaru and InuYasha stop fighting and eat." Inutaishou said for the fourth time stopping the half brothers before InuYasha jumped over the table to attack his eldest.
"Lucky butt head!" InuYasha growled lowly to the now fully grown demon sitting across from him as Kagome giggled softly while Sesshoumaru carefully fed Rin a small bite of food and ignored the angry five year old sitting across from him as a few others laughed into their hands.
"InuYasha, enough." Inutaishou growled losing patience before shooting a glare at Sesshoumaru as he caught the faint smirk on his face. "The same with you Sesshoumaru." The dog demon said just as threateningly.
"Lord Inutaishou, sir, I was wondering if I could work around the castle?" Kohaku spoke up nervously as Sango looked up at him with her chopsticks still in her mouth, her eyes filled with curiosity. Slowly Inutaishou set his food down and looked at the young boy in front of him making him bow his head and stare at his empty bowl intensely.
"You may help a few of the guards near the gate if they will allow it." Inutaishou said watching as the boy nodded before bowing, a look of relief on his face as he carefully drank his water. Scanning over the table he found Sakura watching as Shippo showed Kaoru and Miroku a game where you beat your hand on the palm of your other hand and made three different shapes.
"See? Rock beats scissors, and scissors beats paper, but paper beats rock." Shippo explained running through the motions as the two boys nodded before Kaoru turned to Kagome who watched them curiously.
"Hey 'Gome, wanna play?" Kaoru asked flashing a smile at her as she smiled back and nodded. Suddenly a soft growl could be heard and Inutaishou looked down to see a very red and angry InuYasha glaring at Kaoru as if simply looking at him would cause him to burst into dust. Inutaishou raised a single eyebrow before looking at his other son for an explanation.
"He likes her," Sesshoumaru said in his normal voice as he finished off his own food and absently rubbed a sleepy Rin's back as she cuddled against his chest, sucking her thumb and holding onto his top.
"I do not!" InuYasha yelled loudly as Inutaishou smiled and rubbed the young boy's head affectionately as Sesshoumaru and him glared daggers at each other.
"You don't what?" Kagome asked looking over at him curiously as he stuttered for an answer which in turn caused the three boys sitting across from them to look at them curiously waiting for the answer.
"No-nothing!" He yelled as Sakura and Inutaishou shared a look over the small group's heads.
...
"Naraku," Kagura said his name angrily as he sat in front of her staring into Kanna's mirror intently with a faint smile before turning his burning red eyes onto her making her frown slightly behind her fan.
"Kagura?" Naraku said with his signature evil smirk making the demoness squirm under his gaze.
"You wanted me for something did you not?" Kagura snaps her fan closed as she spoke staring at the man who kept her prisoner with her own heart. Unsurprisingly she received no response as he stared at her for a full minute quickly wearing against her nerves.
"Kagura...I want you to watch our...dear...little friends." Naraku said with a slight laugh that sent chills down Kagura's spine before he dismissed her allowing her to leave the cold palace he was currently residing in.
"Just what are you planning Naraku?" Kagura asked herself as she flew up above and away from the castle shooting one last look down at her ever silent sister.
...
"InuYasha! Where are we going?" Kagome yelled trying to catch up with the half-demon, who seemed as if something was bothering him.
"It's alright Kagome," Sango said to her.
"I know, but sometimes I just want him to stop and at least explain what's going on before running ahead of us. It almost makes me want to sit him." InuYasha heard as the beads around his neck glowed as he jumped right over an old well with ivy growing over it forcing him down into it, luckily he was able to destroy a small platform on the way down allowing him to escape getting stuck in the water but not getting soaked from the splash.
"KAGOME!" InuYasha yelled from inside a well up ahead as Sango and Shippo laughed while Miroku simply smiled. Kagome's face turned bright red as they came into a clearing and watched as InuYasha pulled himself out of a small stone well, dripping wet and very angry.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to S-I-T you." Kagome told the angry boy as he stomped towards her and stared at her angrily.
"InuYasha! You smell like wet dog!" Shippo said holding his nose and waving his hands, this caused the group to hide their smiles and laughs with coughing fits as the fox demon jumped down from Miroku's back and run towards a tree as InuYasha chased him around the well.
...
Slowly the small white haired boy opened his eyes and looked around curiously wondering what the dream was about before shrugging and yawning.
"I'm hungry!" InuYasha thought as he climbed out of the bed and moved to the door. Once open he sniffed the hallway carefully and began to make his way to the kitchen for a small snack. "Food! Food! Food!" He thought happily as he padded across the hallway in semi darkness and silence being careful to check his surrounding as he made his way to the kitchens.
"Shouldn't you be in bed?" A quiet voice asked making the small hanyo jump and turn around to see his older brother standing almost right above him. InuYasha gulped and put his hands behind his back as he stared up at the formidable figure towering over him with his ears pressed flat against his skull.
"Why do you care?" InuYasha snapped angrily before turning back to the door in front of him and trying to pull it open only to find he couldn't. "Stupid...door!" InuYasha grunted pulling on the door with all his might after a minute he gave up and kicked the door making his foot throb with pain. He hissed with pain and grabbed his foot hoping around on his other foot until he caught sight of the amused look on his older brother's face.
"What are you laughing at?!" InuYasha growled letting go of his foot and glaring at the now blank faced demon. After a minute Sesshoumaru raised his arm and flicked something on the top of the door creating a clicking sound before sliding the door open to reveal the kitchen. Without a word Sesshoumaru walked in and carefully opened a insulated box, pulling out what looked like some kind of pastry along with a bottle of milk which he carefully set on the counter.
After a moment of simply standing in the doorway InuYasha carefully made his way into the kitchen and began creeping along the wall looking for something he could eat as his brother watched him.
"What is wrong with me? I should have killed him by now...It must be because of Father. Yes, that is it." Sesshoumaru contemplated absently as he sipped at the now warm milk and nibbled on the pastry. Slowly he became aware of the furtive glances being shot at him until finally he couldn't stand it and stood up shooting his tail out at InuYasha making the boy yelp as he was lifted up and deposited roughly on the counter.
"Here," Sesshoumaru muttered setting another pastry, this one filled with strawberries instead of cherries, down along with a small glass of milk in front of the surprised hanyo. After sniffing the offered treat for a minute he cautiously took a bite, not taking his eyes off of Sesshoumaru, who simply ignored him and continued to eat his own pastry. After a few minutes Sesshoumaru looked over at his younger brother out of the corner of his eye and noticed his eyes drooping slightly and inwardly smirked before standing up, carefully cleaning all traces of their midnight snack within a few minutes. His keen ears picked up the yawn and movement behind him as he carefully closed the lid back on the insulated box before he turned around just in time to see a very drowsy white haired boy stumble over the edge of the door. On instinct Sesshoumaru's tail shot out and caught him and wrapped him up in a silky fluffiness that was similar to his father's own tail but slightly different.
"Damn Father!" Sesshoumaru cursed as he looked at the sleeping brat he had wrapped up in his tail and then at the ceiling before sighing and existing the room, locking the door on his way out as he did.
A/N
~Light~ Alright...I know...and I have a very bad excuse for the late chapter...you see I've been so busy with school and then homework that I've barely been on the computer for any fun stuff!
~Dark~ It's true! We've been mega busy! Plus it snowed recently and Light learned the hard way how much I weigh...
~Light~ Yeah she weighs a ton!
~Dark~ Why you! *Shakes with rage before taking a deep breath* Anyway...needless to say I passed out while we tried to shovel the walk...in my defense we were out there doing that instead of homework because we thought it'd be more fun...it wasn't...
~Light~ One more thing before we go back to working on chapters the insulated box is supposed to be a fridge and yes we know they didn't have those but hey! It's a fanfic not a history assignment! XD
~Both~ We love all our readers and the reviews they've left us! Keep reading and enjoy our work! We don't own InuYasha just the OCs!
~Light~ Feel the brotherly love! So kawaii!
