Chapter 9 Quincy and tours
Ishida household, Karakura
"Father? You wished to see me?" Uryuu asked, curious about the abrupt summons. It was a rare occasion that he was summoned to meet his father, even more so when the man sounded excited.
His father looked up from the work he had brought home and smirked at his son. "Yes, an old friend is in the process of moving into Karakura. Do you have any plans for tomorrow?"
Uryuu shook his head and frowned, not seeing where this was going.
His father smirked again and Uryuu started to get a bad feeling. "My friend has also brought his apprentice with him. He is around your age and has the weekend free, for the most part. I would like for you to show him around Karakura, and make sure to introduce him to the Kurosaki boy. I will want to know how they react to each other when you get home. They will be reopening the apothecary next to Urahara Shoten." With that, Ryuuken went back to his work and Uryuu left pondering what he had been told, specifically why he'd been told to introduce the boy to the Kurosaki boy.
Then he shrugged and dismissed the matter. He'd figure it out later, perhaps when they met. His father was friends with the boys' teacher; maybe they knew the elder Kurosaki. This might have possibilites…as long as the boy was not like Kurosaki.
--Urahara Shoten, Karakura--
"KISUKE!! SEVERUS!! Just what have you two reprobates been up to while koneko-chan and I have been training, hm?" Yoruichi mock-scolded as she found the two (thoroughly) drunk men on the porch. They both started and looked up at her guiltily. "Ugh. You two probably have been here all night, haven't you?" she asked, and was graced with sheepish expressions from both of them.
"Yoruichi-sensei, maybe you could lower your voice and have some sympathy on them, after all, they haven't seen each other in years," Harry offered quietly, instantly earning both men's gratitude, especially when he produced two sobering potions.
"Hmph. Fine, I'll give them a break this time, koneko-chan. Now shouldn't the two of you be heading home?" Yoruichi looked distinctly unhappy about this situation. She didn't want her kitten to leave!! She pouted at the unfairness. Snape was such a hog.
"Yes we should, and I'll be seeing you later, Yoruichi-sensei," Harry soothed as he helped his master up and over to their house.
Yoruichi sniffled and collapsed once the two were out of sight, then her eyes narrowed and she looked over at Urahara.
He looked at her warily.
She smiled charmingly.
He paled alarmingly.
"Y'know, we could be nice and offer to let them stay here, it's not like we're lacking in space," Yoruichi started casually, absently picking dirt out from underneath her nails.
Urahara gave her a blank stare, not fooled by her act for a minute. "You just want to monopolize his time, Yoruichi."
She winced, guilty as charged there.
She shook her head. "Partly. It would definitely produce in better food if they lived here, though. Koneko-chan is quite the cook," she recalled, licking her lips in remembrance of the dinner that her kitten had made them before they dropped in on the men. "We'd just have to make it worth their while."
Urahara looked intrigued. "Edible, homemade food? I'll have to think about this," he said, and wandered off.
Yoruichi grinned and gave herself a mental pat on the back for thinking of this. She was such a genius! Now, to sneak into koneko-chan's room without getting caught by Snape…
She grinned and moved.
5th Division, Captain's office
"Eh? Aizen-taicho still busy wit' ya paperwork?" he heard Gin ask. Looking up at the other captain, he smiled.
"Gin, please come in," Aizen invited, curious as to what Gin may have found out about the boy's appearance.
"Eh, sure ya not to busy, Aizen-taicho?" Gin asked, smiling. Momo's not here?
No, this office is secure. Aizen discreetly rolled his eyes. "For this information, I'll make time," he stated, remembering a certain pair of green eyes and with them, the usual wave of possessiveness that came with it.
Gin tilted his head curiously. "Green eyes, black hair, lightning bolt scar on the left side of his forehead."
Aizen hissed inwardly. He might not have remembered all the details, but he remembered the eyes vividly, the scar vaguely.
"It's 'im, then?" Gin asked.
Aizen nodded absently. "I'm almost positive that his godson is the person I must have encountered."
"Actually, my godson is the person who healed your wound, Aizen-taicho." Sirius drawled from the doorway.
Both men looked at him in shock and disbelief. He smirked. "What? I'm a Marauder, through and through. That should explain everything satisfactorily."
Aizen narrowed his eyes. "How long-"
"-have you been there listening? Slipped in right after Ichimaru-taicho, actually." He stated. "If you want to keep people out, you need to do better on your security." That said, he arched up and away from the door and stalked closer to the two captains. "Now, mind explaining how you remember him? He was quite convinced that he'd erased your memory thoroughly." Sirius stated, looking proud. "And just what it is that the two of you have planned for him."
Aizen looked amused. "Really now? Why should I?"
Aizen blinked as he was suddenly pinned to the wall by a furious Black. "Listen, Aizen, and listen well. I'm only saying this once: Harry. Is. My. Godson. I will always follow him and protect him. No matter what he does, or where he goes, he will always have my support and trust. He won't trust you ever if I tell him not to. The opposite is also true. Now. Tell. Me. What. The. Fuck. You. Have. Planned."
Both Aizen and Gin stared at him and then Aizen asked, "What do you know of Hueco Mundo?"
-next day-
Karakura Apothecary, Karakura
Uryuu looked up once he reached the apothecary his father had directed him to. It was quite obvious that it had been closed for a while, and just recently opened. Sighing to himself, he went up and opened the door, looking inside curiously.
"Sorry, we're not open yet, we should be up and running by Monday though," a softly accented voice told him. Uryuu turned to look at the boy and blinked. Long, probably mid-back length black hair, pale skin, intense green eyes…that looked haunted.
"I was looking for Snape Severus, or his apprentice, Potter Harry?" Uryuu asked. He then blinked at the blinding smile the boy gave him.
"Oh! You must be Ishida Uryuu! Shishou told me to expect you, he said that if you came, you could be talked into giving a newcomer a tour of Karakura." The boy said.
Uryuu nodded. "Was there anything in particular you wanted to see or do?"
The boy shook his head. "Shishou just wants me to pick some things up from Kurosaki Clinic on my way home."
Uryuu's lips twitched. "Very well. That coincides with my fathers' instructions to introduce you to Kurosaki Ichigo."
"Kurosaki Isshin's child, your age, I presume?" the boy called out as he went to inform his shishou that he'd be leaving now.
"His eldest son. He has three children; Ichigo - who's 16, Karin and Yuzu - they're nine and are twins." Ishida explained as the two left the shop.
