Chapter 9; The awkward after morning.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring It's Time by Imagine Dragons, a muscular arm around my torso and Four groaning due to the current time. "Tris, why the *explicit* would you willingly wake up at 5:15?"

I sat up and hit the OFF button while explaining we had bigger worries than my sleep schedule. "You wouldn't happen to have brought clean clothes or anything, would you?"

Four paled and swore jumping out of bed. He began to pace the floor, dragging a calloused hand through his messy dark hair. Seeing his post wake-up grogginess made me think two things; Damn Four's hot and Crap I'm only wearing a t-shirt and booty shorts! As you can imagine the second one was more pressing. "Okay I'll get you some of Caleb's clothes in a second but first let me change."

Four blushes then leaves the room firmly closing the door without actually making a disturbance. I let out a breath than turn towards my dresser, desperately hoping for an expectable outfit. I somehow manage to find a long flowy burgundy tank top and a pair of my favorite dark wash high-rise jeans. Then I go to the closet and dive around until I find my leather jacket and combat boots. Why do I suddenly care so much?

I quickly brush and pull back my blonde hair, along with completing the rest of my morning routine.

I exit my room and almost scream with shock as I see a half conscious Four sitting next to my door.

I laugh lightly as Four scrambles to his feet and I lead him to Caleb's room; a small space overpowered by books. Heck he even shoved books in the crevice in-between his dresser and wall.

I saunter over to his dresser and pull out a V-neck a size and a half too big for Caleb that served as a muscle shirt for Four.

He convinced me he could keep on the same jeans and no one would notice than shoos me away so he can change.

I copy his former position sitting next to the door until he appears grinning. "This means I get to make you breakfast! How do you feel about pancakes?"

I resist the urge to squeal as I explain my infatuation with pancakes.

Before I know it Four has swung me over his shoulder and runs down the stairs; hauling me like a sack of potatoes. I laugh and almost find myself sad when he places me down on the kitchen counter. "Tell me mortal," he says in a prestigious accent. "Where doth thou keep-ith thy ingredients?"

By now I'm full out screaming with laughter as I give him instructions as to where everything is. He proceeds to collect everything needed while full out singing a 'Smiths' song, Girlfriend in a Coma. Happy melody, really sad lyrics. I loved it. "You know," I said. "You have a great voice. Ever considered joining a band or something?"

He shakes his head. "I don't really get out that often. Me and my Uncle… We like to keep to ourselves, other than school of course."

I nod my head knowingly. After all the crap we've been through my family isn't exactly the go get 'em! Type.

We eat in a comfortable silence. Once we finish Four offers me ride which I gladly accept. On the way to the car Four suddenly stops, looking utterly serious. He's going to tell me it's too weird being around me, that I'm just too much of a loser. "Tris, will you go out with me?"

I am shocked than I smile so much my face hurts. "Of course! I was worried you'd tell me to get lost or-" but before I can continue Four envelopes me in a tight embrace.

Electricity ignites within me and something tells me that he will be special, no, that he already is.
