Chapter 8

"Are you sure this will go alright?" The raven-haired girl asked, worried about how the situation would work itself out. Which was kind of understandable for someone who had to reveal themselves to be a female after years of convincing others of the opposite.

"Of course it will! What's the worst thing that could happen? Sakura and Ino finally leaving you alone?" The blond answered as they approached the front gate to the Forest of Death, where they were to get their instructions.

Apparently, her words had effect, as the vision of a world without a pink-haired banshee and a blond flower diva following her around came to mind, immediately motivating the Uchiha to go ahead.

They walked into the clearing that stood before the entrance to the training ground, almost immediately receiving weird looks from every single student that managed to get a look at them. Naruko readied herself for what was to come.

"SASSUKE-KUN! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?" A horrible screech made itself heard above the voices of every single one of the many Genin that were to participate in the Second Phase. Yep, there it is. The blond thought to herself.

"OH MY GOD! WHAT IS THAT? ARE THOSE BREASTS? YOU BITCH, NARUKO, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SASUKE-KUN! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" The banshee screamed and yelled at her, running over and punching the jinchuuriki in her face.

Of course, since the right jab came from someone with Sakura's undeveloped and untrained fist caliber, the blond barely noticed it as her face was made to turn to the side.

She stood there for a moment before looking at the pink-haired kunoichi with an insane grin on her face, as if she had just snapped.

"Oi, Oi, do you want to get yourself killed?" Naruko asked, making Sakura's eyes widen with terror. She obviously had no idea that to the blond, her own punch was nothing more than a pet.

"Naruko had nothing to do with this Sakura. No one did." Sasuki explained, a slightly bored tone on her voice and an annoyed expression on her face. The pink fangirl, though, still hadn't gotten the message.

"But Sasuke-kun, you're a girl! You were a boy until now! What happened?" She asked again. This time, the raven-haired Uchiha sighed and looked at her teammate straight in the eyes.

"No. I've been a girl ever since I was born. What happened or how is none of your concern. If you got the wrong message and had me confused for a male, it's not my problem."

With that, the two girls walked off, leaving Sakura alone, dumbfounded, just standing there like an idiot. Naruko chuckled.

"Using your old personality, huh? Nice mindfuck you gave her there." She whispered, noticing the smirk on Sasuki's face.

"Thanks, I knew you'd like it."

Suddenly, Naruko stopped and turned around, as if she had forgotten something.

"Oh, Sakura, I actually forgot to tell you. I have a very, "An eye for an eye" perspective on life, you know? So, don't take this personally."

The pink-haired girl rose her tear-filled eyes and covered face just in time to hear the blond's last word as a right fist collided with her face, hard enough to actually lift her off her feet and push her back.

Sakura went tumbling through the ground, not able to stop the momentum that she had gained from the epic jab Naruko had delivered, until a tree saved the day, being there for her to crash against and release a moan of pain.

The girl's vision was blurry, but good enough for her to see Naruko turning around and walk off, waving goodbye.

"Hope it didn't hurt too much, Make-Believe Kunoichi!" She taunted, delivering a deep gash on Sakura's emotions and mind, a gash that would not heal soon, a gash that would drive her to completely change her personality and go on to cause some serious trouble.

But that wasn't for today, as the banshee finally was forced to give it a rest and drifted off into unconsciousness.

They approached the massive crowd that had been watching the whole show, and managed to go on undisturbed, as apparently, everyone had learned not to question anything odd that seemed to go around the blond Naruko, lest they receive a punch, a Storm Leg technique or even a detonating leg to the face.

Even Kiba, who was looking at both of them, especially at Sasuki with a frown of anger, but decided against doing anything aside running over to the teammate that was currently in Dreamland, ready to help.

"Well, now that that pleasant show is over, we can finally get this damned Phase started and I can finally eat my fucking dango." A voice declared. After a quick glance from Naruko, it was determined that the voice came from Mitarashi Anko, the Second Phase's Proctor.

Mitarashi Anko was, in Naruko's opinion, the closest you could get to a perfect girlfriend candidate. She had massive, beautiful breasts that were only covered by a very revealing mesh armor, which was pretty much the closest you could get to art, she had a delicious, god-like behind that the blodn felt like she could stick her face into and spend a few hours there.

She had violet hair that was shaped into a short, spiky, fanned-ponytail and light brown, pupil-less eyes. Over the mesh armor that so tightly concealed her body, she wore both a tan overcoat and a dark-orange mini skirt. Completing her outfit were the forehead protector tied around her forehead, the snake-fang pendant around her neck and metal shin guards.

Aside the goddess-like appearance, she also had a very dark side that she mostly kept revealed, which meant she would make dark jokes about murder half of the time, and spend the other half making rather obscene sexual jokes.

The last part that Naruko really liked was her appetite, which rivaled her own. The only con to this woman was that she didn't particularly like ramen. But she could easily ignore that for the sake of big boobs made for squishing.

Apparently, the woman had an interest in her too, since she sneaked various dirty glances at her, often licking her lips and winking at her.

"Why eat your "fucking dango" when you could eat a bowl of the best damn ramen in the world in Ichiraku's? The only reason I can find is you want to use the stick that they impale the dango with for other purposes." Naruko replied, dragging out a fit of laughter from her proctor, while making the other Genin uncomfortable. Where in the hell did a Genin speak to a Tokubetsu Jounin that way?

"You have no idea how right you are, blondie. And believe me, twenty sticks of dango are more than enough for such purposes. I'd ask you to join me, but apparently, you have things to do. Things that I will explain now."

She took out two scrolls from her coat's pockets, showing them to the "audience". One was brown and one was white.

"These are the scrolls of Heaven and Earth. Each team of three Genin will enter the Forest with one and have to acquire its counterpart before heading for the building precisely in the middle of this whole forest. You have to do this in a maximum of five days. If you arrive and do not have both scrolls, you will be denied entry. If you try to fool us with a fake scroll or a Henge, you will have special facial reconstruction from myself with my fists. If you open the scroll before you are inside the building, you are fucked. Any questions?"

Naruko had to refrain herself from laughing out loud as the jaws of most Genin dropped to the floor with shock and surprise. I definitely like this one. She thought to herself.

"B-But, if we only go in with one and have to get its counterpart, and there's no other way to get it, then we have to...we have to..." A wimpy Genin from Kumogakure started.

"We have to fight for them. Of course, it's going to be hard to only knock out someone in this forest, with everything going on and stuff. Which means we need to be certain they stay down. And even if they are only unconscious after the fight, I bet most of the predators and poisonous animals out there would finish the job. Which essentially means..." Shino followed with an especially sadistic smile on his face.

"Which means we definitely have to kill for them. Huh. I bet Zabuza would be having a Deja Vu if he was here..." Hinata finished the conclusion with a plain expression, as if it was nothing out of the ordinary.

Every single team of Genin except for the Iwa, Suna, and main Konoha teams like Gai's, Kakashi's and Kurenai's had their face falter. Even the Ino-Shika-Cho combo were shocked.

It had been established. If they wanted to become Chuunin, they couldn't afford to hesitate before a kill, and they had to grow up in order to do so. Only some could do that, which meant the rest would die off..

"You can get your scroll in the shack behind me. Remember, anybody who wants to quit and save their own lives, do it now. Because after you're inside, there's no way out."

Naruko smirked as she and her team walked by the rest, heading for the shack, but half-way, the blond had another idea.

"You two wait here, I'll get the scroll. Soru! (Apparently, you guys prefer the Japanese names)" She blurred before disappearing and reappearing inside the shack, shocking the three judges who were handing out the essential items.

"Team 8 from Konoha." Were Naruko's only words, and the three older men quickly checked their papers before handing her an Earth scroll and three paper sheets.

Naruko frowned at the sheets, but didn't protest before using the same technique to reappear by Anko's side. She immediately took out a kunai and stopped it as it touched the girl's neck.

"Watch out, blondie, I could have killed you there." She advised as Naruko yawned and disregarded it with a wave of her hand.

"Yeah, whatever. Listen, what are these papers?" The blond girl asked, shaking the three sheets in front of the proctor's face.

"Oh, thanks for reminding me. Everyone, listen up! With your scrolls, you will also receive a sheet of paper, one for each member of your team. These sheets are basically a Responsibility Contract. You have to sign them or you will not be allowed to step inside the Forest of Death."

"Responsibility Contract? What the fuck does that mean?" One of the Sunagakure ninja asked. Kankuro was his name. Anko smirked at him.

"It means that you take full responsibility if you die or are crippled for life in this Phase."

Her response made most Genin flinch again, and this time, Naruko only laughed more. It was pitiful, but still hilarious.

"Ok, you guys have to toughen up. Seriously? You are all Genin. You are ninja. That means you can't let your emotions sway you. Have no doubt, if you meet me and my team in that Forest, we will not hesitate to kill you. That means it's just one less team to worry about. You should do the same. Otherwise, just back off." She spoke, making the ones who flinch swallow in dry.

"Basically, go hard or go home." Hinata followed. Soon, half of those who flinched simply lowered their heads in shame, ripped the sheet of paper in two and walked away, out of the clearing.

"Huh. You got most of the fodder out. That means less screams for me to hear while eating dango. You bastards." Anko commented with a sad face. Naruko giggled as she leaned in and whispered in her ear.

"Don't worry, I'll make it up to you later."

The purple-haired woman laughed out loud before winking at her, as if saying "I'm going to cash in on that later."

"Alright, I've had enough of talking and waiting, just sign the fucking papers and get going!"

…...

Thirty Minutes Later

"Alright, so you guys ready?" Naruko asked as the gate they went in through was closed right behind them. Shino nodded and Hinata punched her left palm with her right fist, as if saying "Bring it on."

"Ok. Let's think for a bit. Right now, most teams will be wandering to the middle of the forest and searching for other teams or setting up traps in order to get the scrolls as fast as possible. But, some teams will head straight for the main building and set up traps there. What do you guys say?"

"I suggest we "fall" for a trap or two in the middle area. Most people will not know that we are all aware of it, and we can use that to take them down, retrieve our scroll and make a mad dash for the main building." Shino responded, but Hinata shook her head.

"Why should we hurry up so much? Why don't we thin out the numbers? There were no rules against getting more than two scrolls or killing extra enemies. This could help us out in the long run." She replied. Naruko smirked on the inside. Hinata really had grown to an emotionless girl. But still, she was wrong.

"No. Don't you remember that Kurenai-sensei made a bet? If we don't get there before anyone else, she's going to get screwed over."

"So? The only team that we know is going to be fast is that Sunagakure team, with the blond girl and that Kankuro guy. And the Iwagakure team looks like the type that they'd enjoy dragging things like these out. We only really have to worry about the Sand guys, the rest is going to take at least three days before getting to the finish line."

"Then what do you suggest?" Shino asked her. Hinata gave him one of the more sadistic grins he had ever seen in his life.

"We make a mad dash for them first, and then we have our fun."

Naruko smiled as well, and soon, Shino joined them. Their Chakra Cores brushed up against each other, and suddenly, power overwhelmed them.

"SORU!" Their three voices echoed.

…...

An Hour Later

"That was the fifth team. They had the Heaven scroll. We can now pass the Phase at least three times. Are you guys happy yet or what?" The Aburame heir asked with a slightly bored tone on his voice. Naruko seemed confused.

"Where the fuck are those sandy cunts?"

"I believe those would be us." A voice answered her question, making them snap their heads back, identifying the enemy.

In front of them stood Kankuro, Temari and Gaara, the three people that they had been looking for. The one that had called them out was Temari.

"Ask and you shall receive. Huh, I guess dad was right." Hinata commented as she dropped into a fighting stance.

"Wow, calm your tits there. We're here to make a deal with you guys. No need to harm each other." Kankuro pointed out, lifting his hands as a sign of submission.

"I don't think so."

They all turned their heads to Gaara, whose gourd had been popped open. Sand was coming out of it as a fluid substance. He was pointing at Naruko with his right arm.

"Mother wants her blood. NOW!"

"GAARA, NO!" Temari tried, but it was too late. The sand shot forward, eager to crush and devour the blond's flesh and skin.

Unfortunately for the redhead, it was intercepted by a torrent of Shino's bugs, coming out of his own gourd. Both forces tried to overwhelm each other to no end, but none could gain the upper hand.

"Temari, get ready for a fight! It's too late for negotiation now!" Kankuro yelled at his sister, unwrapping the puppet he had on his back. Temari snapped out of her surprise and opened her fan, ready to swing it at any moment.

"Hinata, you handle Temari, I'll go for Kankuro!" Naruko ordered as she ran for her target, receiving a nod from the Hyuuga as she herself headed for her own opponent.

"Bad decision, Naruko or whatever the fuck your name is. You'll never even get close to me." The boy's voice called out from nothingness. He's hiding. Too bad that won't do much for him.

The puppet came out at her, hidden knives pointing through its palms and feet, and a large blade coming out of it's mouth.

She ducked under a right swipe, managing to see trickles of purple poison move above her. Phew.

She grabbed the wooden apparatus' right leg, swinging it around and throwing it into a tree, taking her time to try and figure out where the puppeteer was hidden.

Luckily, she remembered that with the Chakra Cores connected in their way, she could feel any chakra signature that Hinata could. There were the signatures of herself, of Shino, of Hinata, of Gaara, Temari and finally, Kankuro, a mere twenty meters ahead, hiding in the bushes. I've got to keep this short and sweet. That sand guy is getting stronger every second. She thought to herself as she realized that Shino was having trouble with Gaara. Hinata was doing fine with Temari, but that could change at any given second.

Naruko was ready to make a dash for her target when she felt a volley of kunai coming from behind.

She ducked just in time to see three of the pointy, poison-covered knives fly over her, and stick to the ground where she had been mere seconds ago. She looked behind to see the puppet fly at her again. Didn't I just send that guy into a tree?

"Karasu is an armed puppet. Every single part of him has a hidden weapon. Besides, no matter how many times you destroy him, he'll always reconstruct himself as long as he's got the parts. Even if they're just splinters." Kankuro's voice echoed through the place. This fact annoyed Naruko.

She didn't have much time to complain, though, as Karasu came flying at her again, trying to slice her with its small knives.

"Kami-e." Naruko suddenly became as light as paper itself, being moved simply by the wind that Karasu was creating with its wild slashes and cuts. She wasn't being touched, which was probably angering the puppeteer.

A probability that was made fact as Karasu's right forearm kind of dislocated it's joint, showing a hole from where a smoke bomb came out, hitting the ground and exploding.

She had to be honest. She couldn't see a damn thing. And the worse was that it was a poisonous fog, not letting her even take a breath.

Hinata noticed this with her Byakugan, also taking notice of how Shino was close to being completely overrun by Gaara's sand, and so knew exactly what to do in order to save them both.

"Daikamaitachi no jutsu! (Great Scythe Weasel Technique)" Temari yelled as she batted the air with her fan, sending a torrent of slicing wind towards the Hyuuga.

"Hakkesho Kaiten! (Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven)" Hinata responded as she rotated as fast as she could, expelling chakra from every single chakra point in her system, creating a blue shield around her, a shield that repelled the blond's technique to the side, slicing and pushing through Gaara's sand, giving Shino an opening and completely blowing away the poison fog.

The Aburame wasted no time and dashed for Gaara as the sand tried to come back in time to save its master. But it was of no use, Shino was already in range.

"Jusshigan! (Ten Finger Guns)" He proclaimed the name of his technique as he effectively pierced the redhead with all ten of his fingers, making the boy cry out in pain as he blasted him back, making Gaara tumble through the ground and come to a stop when he crashed against a tree.

Naruko too took advantage of Hinata's help, as when Karasu came for another assault, she hit it with a right roundhouse right in the torso, readying herself for what was coming.

"Bakuton: Jiraiken!"

Her leg detonated against the puppet, exploding it to smithereens and nothingness, making Kankuro whimper. He had spent so much time on it...

However, she gave him no rest for it, as she continued her spinning motion with the force of the kick, jumping in the air and executing a tornado kick through the air itself.

"Rankyaku."

A blue blade of wind shot out of her attack, flying into the bushes that she knew Kankuro was hidden in.

Apparently, he hadn't been fast enough to dodge it as his scream of agony followed soon after, forcing a smile on the blond's face.

The other blond, however, had no smile on her face. She was shocked. Nobody had even touched Gaara, and this kid had just stricken him ten times in a row. Kankuro's puppet was absolutely destroyed, and Kankuro himself was probably in a bad shape. She was the last one standing, but she knew that if she didn't do something quickly, she'd go through the same fate.

Filled with shame, she dropped to her knees and raised her hands in the air.

"Please, don't kill me. Just let us go. I swear we will be of no more trouble to you." She begged, making Naruko smile.

"Leave your scrolls and you've got a deal." She replied, making Temari wince, but quickly agree, throwing over five scrolls at the other blond.

She went into the bushes for a few seconds, coming out with a conscious, yet beaten up Kankuro with an arm around him, helping him stand. His torso was diagonally slashed from the kick, and Naruko doubted he'd manage to remain conscious for long.

Temari then grabbed Gaara and threw him over her left shoulder, ready to carry him.

"Next time, we will not run. I promise."

And with that, she was gone.

The three just stood there for a moment, still processing what had happened in mere minutes, before Hinata spoke first.

"You think it was wise to let them go?"

"Our primary objective was to delay them. With both her brothers unfit for battle and no scrolls, I don't believe she'll reach the main building that soon. Besides, a cornered animal is dangerous. She could have seriously injured one or two of us. Thanks for the help, by the way."

"Yeah, I owe you one too." The Aburame followed. Hinata shrugged.

"We're a team, that's what we do. But anyways, what's our "Primary Objective" now?"

"Now, you die!" Another voice joined them as a small, white clay-made bird flapped its wings right in front of Naruko's face and begun to shine.

"KATSU!"
