Hey guys I'm back with another chapter! Sorry this one is kinda just a filler chapter but ya know. At least I got something up XD. So anyway, this is a random thing but it is really bothering me, I need a name for you guys! Pleeease suggest something! I don't know why but I really want one. Sigh, I'm so random like that.
I stood up and looked around, my eyes latching onto every little detail, trying to see something I recognised, but I saw nothing familiar. I desperately pulled out my phone and dialled Cake's number.
"Cake?" I said.
"Fi? Where are you hon I thought you'd have been home hours ago!"
"Cake, I'm kinda lost."
"What?"
"I'm lost Cake. I'm in a part of town that I've never seen before and I…Cake?" I pulled the phone away from my ear and groaned. Of course today would be the day when I forgot to charge it.
I shoved the phone back in my bag, and walked out of the alley. I hurried down the streets, trying to see something I recognised…a street name, a shop, anything. I was so focussed on the signs and posters at the side of the road, that I wasn't looking where I was going and crashed straight into someone.
I fell to the ground, and glared up at the person who I crashed into, as if it was all their fault for being so rock solid and making me fall over. The person had shoulder length black and silver hair, with olive skin and dark eyes. He turned around and saw me.
"Watch where you're going, seriously," I scowled at him, and he raised his hands in mock surrender. "Need a hand?" He offered me his hand, only to have me swat it away and stand up myself.
"I'm perfectly fine by myself, thanks." I said.
"Hey, no need to be feisty, I was just trying to help," He looked curious. "You look a little lost, need some help?" I almost accepted his offer, before I stiffened up again. What if this guy was some kind of a murderer?
"I said I'm perfectly fine by myself."
"Yo, Mochro, who ya talking to?" I heard a female voice and saw Mochro turn around.
"No idea, she hasn't told me her name." Two people walked up beside the guy. A girl with bright blue hair chewing a large wad of gum, and…
"Marsh?" I said. I saw Marshall's eyes open wide.
"Fionna? What the heck are you doing here?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa slow down," The girl said. "You two know each other?"
"Yeah," Marshall said. "We go to school together so…" Mochro, I think that's his name, laughed.
"Aw, little Marshie's still at school." He ruffed Marshall's hair, who pushed him away scowling.
"So Marshall," The blue haired girl said. "Gonna introduce us to your little friend?"
"Right," He said. "Fionna, this is Lynne," He gestured to the blue haired girl who grinned and nodded to me. "And this is Mochro. Guys, this is Fionna."
"Nice to meet you, Fionna." Said Lynne.
"So, uh, how do you two know Marshall?" I asked.
"Um…family friends." Mochro said. I nodded.
"Anyway, Fi, what're you even doing out here?"
"I got lost. I tried calling Cake but my phone ran out of battery."
"Wait, Cake?" Mochro looked confused.
"My sister, Catherine. I call her Cake."
"Hey," Marshall said. "Do you want us to take you home? Mochro can drive the truck." He pointed to an old looking black, silver, red and blue truck.
"Um…sure," I said. "I don't know the way, though." Marshall laughed slightly.
"Mochro knows this town like the back of his hand. He practically lived in the alleyways and streets when he was younger, and has them memorised. Just tell him your address."
"Um…34 Grange Street…" I was about to tell him the rest but he interrupted.
"Right. Hop in the van, guys."
Marshall opened the door for me, and I sat in the back in-between Marshall and Lynne. We didn't talk much on the drive home, and before long Mochro stopped the van right outside my apartment building. Cake was standing outside, and when I got out of the van she ran forward and hugged me.
"Fi, honey I was so worried I thought something terrible had happened to you," She stood back with her hands on my shoulders. "Where were you?"
"I got lost," I said, deciding to tell her the whole story later. "Marshall, Mochro and Lynne brought me home." Cake turned to Marshall who was getting out of the van.
"So you're the Marshall I've heard so much about," She looked mildly interested before turning to the others. "Lynne and Mochro, is that right?" My gaze travelled to Mochro and I realised he was staring dumbstruck at my sister. Ok, now that is just weird.
"Yeah," Lynne said, stepping forward. "We're friends of Marshall's and thought we should bring her home."
"Thank you so much," Cake said. Mochro nodded, still staring fixedly at her. "I don't know what I'd do without my little Fi." I rolled my eyes, but was relieved to be back home.
"Well," Marshall said. He seemed to have noticed Mochro as well. "We'd better be going. See you later Miss…"
"Just call me Cake."
They drove off, leaving me with Cake. She wrapped me in a massive hug again.
"I'm so glad you're home, hon." She said.
"Me too." I murmured. She put her arm around my shoulder and we walked back upstairs to our apartment.
Yeah, like I said, just a filler. But I hope you liked it, I'll try to have more happen in future chapters, can't have you guys getting bored ;).
Anyways, 2x out!
