A/N

I'm so sorry that I couldn't get this chapter out by Mid-December as I had promised, I got really really sick and had to deal with midterm exams (I got five A's and one B+, and I didn't study extensively, just skimmed the stuff I had trouble with) and then my mother's parents and brother visited and then her dad's sister died on New Years sometime around the time the ball dropped so then together we had to visit her cousin to comfort and support her.

The whole month of December had been one huge mess.

But you know what, It was my birthday last week, so silver lining.

So yes, January 7, 2016... I am now 18... I can finally buy airsoft guns on my own! I am now a legal adult!

Woo!

... It's been officially and exactly 4 years since I posted the original Chapter 2, which was Friday January 12, 2013 (I remember that day vividly), now 4 years old on January 12, 2016.

4 years...my, has time flown...I might not be able to write when I'm in college, so I plan to finish what I started 4 years ago by mid-summer. As well as two other short stories I have in mind for RWBY.

Btw, I'm going to be hosting a screening of Rooster Teeth's first film "LAZER TEAM" on Feb. 8 at 5:30 pm at my local AMC theater in the Sunset Place (AKA Sunset Mall). If you live in Miami Florida and are a fan of Rooster Teeth, wish to see the movie, or want to meet me or something, then just PM me or leave a comment about it in a review and I will send you the link to the Event Page where you can find the only way and place to buy the movie tickets.

Anyway, enjoy Chapter 8.

Location: Chris's (Base of Operations); Unknown Italian Countryside

Time: 1425 (2:25 PM in 24 Hour Standard)

After having spent the entire morning traveling to Chris's base of operations, disguised to be a small vineyard, the Titans were happy to finally stop for good. Although, they were all infatuated and amazed by the Italian take on rest stops. A restaurant, a mini supermarket, a café, a gas station, and a winery make up one hell of a rest stop.

They were at Chris's to discuss how they will fight Deus and his forces.

Once again they were surrounding a conference table; however this one had some sort of semi-spherical projector. Chris had turned off the lights in the bare room and began fiddling with an extremely thin black laptop.

Danny, bored out of his cerebral cortex, wanted to get on with the planning.

"Soooooo... When are we going to start?"

Chris swiftly closed the laptop and turned to face the table.

"Now" Chris pulled a small, thin, silver cylinder out of his jacket pocket. "Ricordia, open encrypted file DEUS_MF_port_RECDATA16042 and display it up on the Photon Manipulator."

A holographic image of a gray humanoid robot appeared above the semi-sphere.

"Command received and completed...Fuckface" A disembodied female voice replied.

"Thanks my wonderful Bitch McCrabbyPants version of Siri – "

"I'M NOTHING LIKE THAT CHEAP ASS MOCKING JOKE OF A PERSONAL ASSISTANT THAT APPLE MADE! I AM AN ADVANCED SMART ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CAPABLE OF DOING AN HOUR WORTH OF PROCESSING AND RENDERING WORK OF TEN SUPERCOMPUTERS IN UNDER A MINUTE. I WAS MADE BY YOU TO – "

"SHUT UP ALREADY! I have things to do!"

"HMPH! If you need me, I will be talking to Microsoft Sam and Microsoft Mary."

A beep confirmed the fact that the AI Ricordia had indeed in fact retreating back into the hard drive she was stored in to discuss the faults of humanity with Microsoft Sam and Microsoft Mary.

Chris huffed, pouting slightly as he blew a few locks of his messy hair from his forehead, only for them to land back in place, unphased by the action.

"Finally. Sorry about that little interruption; come on, we got a lot of things to go over."

He pointed the cylinder he had taken out of his jacket at the hologram, and with a press of a button, revealed it to be a laser pointer.

"This here is a Viles, the model that serves as Deus's foot soldier, cannon fodder if you will. They are equipped with fairly accurate automatic rifles that fire 5.56x45 mm Armor Piercing (AP) rounds. They have moderate mobility, but are easily weakened or destroyed by a blow to the onboard power supply that is on their back. All the robots are directly connected to a network that is controlled and monitored by both Deus and his commanders. Anything the robots see or hear is reported to them. But, that is not something to concern yourselves with right now,"

Chris waved his hand over the hologram, causing it to change over to an image of eight different robots, each looking extremely menacing and capable of massive destruction. One of the robots had a red "X" over it.

"You should be worried about these guys, the commanders of his army. Their names are Silis, Dylos, Whithr, Yrthu, Aqclous, Hedat, Numri, and Fehyer. Fehyer (the robot with a red "x" over it) is the commander who I had managed to destroy, and I barely survived that fight. These commanders, they are unbelievably strong, almost unbeatable. One alone can most certainly kill a Titan and go toe to toe with a member of the Justice League. I would go into detail about the commanders, if I could that is." Chris dejectedly said.

"Unfortunately, I have zero intel on each of the commanders as the recon and intel gathering mission went to shit when Fehyer and one of Deus's messengers uncovered my spies. The only reason I fought Fehyer and the Messenger was because I tried to get my friends out of there and I had to buy them some time. They were supposed to get to a set rendezvous where I was going meet them and get them home, but they ran into a blockade of Viles led by Hedat. You know what happened to them. I only got out alive by pure luck. Anyway, I highly doubt we will have to fight any commanders anytime soon, we will most likely encounter them when we storm their facility. And on that note,"

Chris waved his hand over the hologram, which changed into a detailed multi layer floor plan of what appeared to a bunker and multiple rooms and halls.

"This is their facility. They had occupied an abandoned bunker system that is within a portion of the Swiss Alpine Mountain Range. These bunkers and tunnels were built back in WWII to fend off attacks from Italy and Germany and stretch a little over a hundred miles. Its a maze of confusion, and getting lost in these tunnels is a fate worse than death. Dark. Damp. Moldy. Rust. Unknown sounds. Rats. Potential enemies in every room, bunker, and bend. No way to tell how far from the surface you are, no way to tell if it is day or night, and no way to know what direction is north or south. You can't even tell if you are going deeper into the mountain, into the darkness. Death will not come quick to those who find themselves lost and alone in the tunnels. That is my warning. It's because of how dangerous traversing the facility is, that we will focus solely on striking Deus."

Chris's previously grim countenance was now replaced by a smirk.

"Luckily for us, he will always be found in the central control room, which is at the center of the tunnel system deep in a mountain. To get there, we will have to hike and climb up the side of the mountain until we reach the outcropping bunker entrance, that is also guarded by a bunch of Viles. Stealthily and quietly take out the Viles before entering the tunnel system. Once inside, you will have to walk for about a mile until you reach an intersection. Take the right one, it will take you down to an old munitions room if you walk it for the full three miles. Once you get inside the munitions room, you will see a boarded up section of the wall. Pull the boards off and there will be a sealed hatch. Open that and you will have access to the ventilation shaft, which will take you right to Deus if you take the first left and then the third right. Two things to know though: 1) avoid making any noise in the ventilation shaft, as that may cause the butterfly valves to close on you and block all the passages in the ventilation system; and 2) Deus will be guarded by five special units. These units are much more terrifying than the commanders, and will fuck up your shit. Attempt to avoid any contact with them at all costs."

Chris spared a look at his watch before turning off the Photon Manipulator and turning the lights back on.

"So, whose hungry? Celestia is almost done making the Cheese Enchiladas and Tampiquena steak. Come on, we'll discuss this some more over dinner."

Surprisingly, Danny stood up and stopped Chris. Danny lowered his head.

"Chris... When will we be attacking? What is your role in this? And what is this really?"

Chris didn't move. He was silent. Seconds passed.

"...In two days we attack. I will take you up to the entrance and I will then leave to keep watch over the other teenaged heroes. I will return to pick you guys up after you beat Deus."

Chris walked to the door but stopped once he had reached it, his hand on the doorknob. What he said next, though it was almost a whisper, shook the teens to their cores.

"This...This is war."

Chris threw the door open and quickly left the room.

"IT'S TIME TO STRIKE"

A/N

Once again, sorry for the delay. I tried to get it out in Mid-December and then on my Birthday. Both times I failed. But I hope you all enjoyed it. I will be rewriting the first chapter when I have a chance though.

Thanks and leave a review, they help me get creative!
