"Haha, yep. Ok, see ya later Pacifica! Bye." Dipper said as he hung up the phone.

His sister Mabel entered the room after hearing him hang up the phone. "I just heard you talking to Pacifica, Dipper." She started. "You two have been talking to each other every day for almost a week now. I think you're ready to ask her on a date!"

"Wha- no, no, I can't do that! She won't even say yes!" Dipper said, suddenly on edge.

"Oh come on Dip! Give yourself some credit!" Mabel said cheerfully.

"I know how she feels about me, Mabel. In pretty sure this is a friends-only deal. I don't think she wants to be more than that."

Little did Dipper know that Pacifica was having a similar dilemma.

After Pacifica was done talking to Dipper that day, she collapsed on her bed. They had been talking for nearly an hour and a half today, not even about anything important. Just talking and laughing. She had never been able to share moments like that with anyone, except Dipper. Her feelings for him were now more mixed up than ever. She suspected she felt different about him after the party, and her suspicions had grown ever since. She tried to stop herself from thinking about him, but he just kept coming back. "Ugh, dumb brain," she muttered to herself "He's just Dipper. Just a guy. A wonderful, funny, cute..." She stopped, and blushed.

What had made her say that? Why did I say that? What is it about Dipper that makes him so amazing? Pacifica wanted to know the answers.

"All you have to do is pick up the phone, call Pacifica, and ask if she wants to meet you somewhere." Mabel said, trying to sway her brother to ask Pacifica on a date.

"Ugh, Mabel, it's not gonna work. I can feel it." Dipper said unenthusiastic.

"Can you just try? For your big sister Mabel?" Mabel said, using puppy-dog eyes.

"Hey! You're only five minutes older! Plus, I have no idea how to ask a girl on a date."

"Well, I've asked plenty of boys on dates, and I can tell you that having a pelican deliver it is NOT the answer. Maybe we should ask someone else. A love EXPERT..."

"Oh, hey dudes, what's up?" Soos said as Mabel and Dipper approached him.

"Dipper needs your advice." Mabel said. "About asking someone out on a date."

"Oh, hey, you and Wendy got together huh? Good job dude!" Soos said.

"Oh, uh, no that's not who it is." Dipper said.

"But anyways, can you give Dipper some advice? He really needs it."

"Well, what you need to do is ask 'wanna meet me somewhere on whenever?' That's really all there is to it dude. It worked for Melody and me."

"All I have to do is do that? That doesn't seem too hard I guess... Maybe I'll give it a shot." Dipper said.

"Yay! Thanks Soos!" Mabel said happily as she pulled Dipper to the phone.

"Don't mention it dudes!" Soos called after them.

"Ok, you ready Dip?" Mabel asked.

Dipper took a deep breath. "I think so." He said.

Dipper picked up the phone and dialed. This was all that mattered right now. No worries about Bill coming back. No worries about the impending apocalypse. Just this solitary phone call. "Hello?" The voice on the other end answered.

"Hey, Pacifica. Can I ask you something?" Dipper said.

"Sure Dipper. What is it?" She said.

"Do you... do you want to... m-meet me at the p-park tomorrow?" Dipper asked, very nervous.

There was a pause on the other end. "You mean, like a date?" Pacifica asked.

"Uhh, yes. Very much like a date. I think." Dipper said.

There was no answer. "I understand if you don't..." He was cut off.

"Of course I do!" Pacifica said loudly. "That sounds really fun."

"R-really? Wow! Ok, so how does noon sound?" Dipper asked.

"Noon's perfect. See you then Dipper!" She said.

Dipper turned to his sister, who was smiling ear to ear at him. "You did it Dipper! You did it!" Mabel said, extremely excited.

"Hehe, yeah." Dipper said.

On the other end of town, Pacifica couldn't believe it. Dipper Pines, a boy she couldn't STAND at the beginning of the summer had asked her on a date. And she said yes! But this led to her realizing something. She had a crush on him. And judging from how he constantly acted around her, he felt the same way.
