-Trunks and Pan's love trial is based of the love trial in the anime 'Maid-Sama!'

9- Love Trial

The warm summer air rushed by Trunks and Pan as they walked down the bustling streets of West City. Many shops were getting ready for upcoming festivals and that's when Pan remembered that her school was hosting a festival. It was an annual summer festival that groups held to get students excited about coming back after he short summer break. Pan would have loved to be able to help, but dancing -although practice was only once a week this month- took up most of her free time.

"Senpai!" A first-year female student called when she saw Trunks and Pan.

"Hi!" Pan waved at her. "The school looks fabulous," she told her.

"Thank you!" The student blushed at the kind words. She noticed Trunks and Pan's conjoined hands and smiled. "You two would be perfect for the game my class is hosting!"

"What is it?" Trunks raised a curious eyebrow.

"It's a love trial!" The student beamed.

Trunks and Pan shared a look, both of them blushing slightly. They were holding hands, so they really shouldn't be surprised that someone assumed they were a couple.

"Please say you'll do it, Senpai!" The student poked her lip out slightly in a pout.

"I... I..." Pan sputtered for what to say. Like Trunks would want to do a love trail with her when they weren't even dating!

"We'll do it," Trunks said, surprising Pan. He glanced down at her just as she looked up. "It could be fun, right?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah," she smiled softly.

"Here," the student handed them two necklaces made out of cheap chain. It had a plastic pink heart dangling from them. "You have to wear these, they prove that you're playing the game."

After Trunks and Pan had on their necklaces the student lead them inside the building. She lead them to her homeroom with a smile. "Okay, now here are the rules. You have to go through several different rooms to complete the obstacles."

"Okay, what do you we have to do first?" Pan asked curiously.

"Room 1-5 is set up like Ramen shop, that's where you'll be doing some speed eating. The gym has the table tennis obstacle, and the art room is the final trial. You will be eliminated if you fail even once! If you succeed you get into the post-festival for free and a special gift!"

"Sounds easy enough," Trunks nodded thoughtfully.

"Great!" The girl chirped. "Your time starts now! Do you need a map?" She held up a piece of paper.

"Nah, I know where the rooms are," Pan told her with a smile as she grabbed Trunks' hand. "C'mon!"

"You're not going to get us lost, are you?" He teased. When she stuck her tongue out at him he couldn't help but chuckle back.

It only took them a few minute to get to the room, and Trunks could tell by how the male student's eyes lit up that he could tell who he and Pan were. "Hi!" He greeted brightly. "Welcome to year 1-A's Love Trial! This is your first obstacle. Please, conjoin your hand- oh," he grinned when he saw they were already holding hands. "Perfect then. Please hold them up."

Trunks and Pan did as they were told and they watched in curiosity as the student tied a long ribbon around their hands before he secured it.

"Okay, you goal for this obstacle is to finish a bowl of rice, but there's a catch. Only one of you can eat the bowl, and the one eating can't use their hands. Their partner has to feed it to them. Which one of you would like to eat the bowl?"

Trunks and Pan shared a look. "You," Pan told him. When he gave her a confused look, she smiled. "You have more of a Saiyan stomach than I do."

Trunks chuckled, knowing she was right. He could easily finish that bowl anyways. "Alright, I guess I'll eat it," he told he male student.

"Awesome," he grinned. "Please pick a seat."

Trunks and Pan picked a seat close to the corner of the room, hoping it would give them a bit of privacy since there were several students looking their way. As soon as they sat down, a bowl of rice was placed in front of Trunks. "Please begin," the student from earlier said with a smile.

Pan picked up the chopsticks, thankful that her right hand was free since that's what she was dominate with. She looked at Trunks with a small smirk, and he knitted his eyebrows, knowing that she was up to something... She inched the bite of rice close to him and when he opened his mouth to eat it, she pulled the chopsticks back with a laugh.

"Really?" He tried to give her a dull look but it turned into a laugh.

"Okay," Pan giggled. "I'll be serious. Are you ready?" She raised a brow.

Trunks smirked, "let's do this."

Less than two minutes later, Trunks and Pan were finish with their bowl. The student who was in charge of the obstacle, was a little surprised, but gave them a card with a stamp of completion and the time they finished it.

With cheeky smiles, they headed towards the gym, where they were greeted and placed at a table with two students from the tennis table club. Their goal was to make the other team lose five times.

"Shall we show them we can kick ass?" Trunks leaned over and whispered in Pan's ear.

She giggled, her face heating slight at him being so close so sudden before she nodded. "Let's dominate!" She yelled, clenching the paddle in her hand.

Needless to say, they kicked some serious table tennis ass.

They were in the lead as the fastest couple by the time they reached the art room for their final obstacle.

The entire floor was filled with hundreds of multi-colored balloons. Upon arriving, they had to draw a piece of paper with a word on it- theirs being cherish. It took them a few minutes, but Pan finally found their blue balloon with the word on it.

"How are we going to pop it?" She asked curiously as she held it in front of her.

"Simple," Trunks grabbed her waist, causing her to glance up in surprise. He pushed her against him, with the balloon in the middle of them. It let out a loud pop! As the remaining of it fell to the floor.

"Well I guess that's one way to do it," Pan spoke with a small smile as she glanced up at Trunks.

"It's the best way to do it," he told her lowly with a small wink.

"Congratulations!" The students who were running the obstacle told them.

Trunks removed his hands from Pan quickly, suddenly realizing that he was still very close to her.

"Here's your tickets to the post-festival," they handed two slips to Pan. "And if you'll follow us, we have a special treat for you two."

Fifteen minutes later, Trunks walked out of the hallway after being asked to change his clothes. They had given him a simple black summer yukata, which he really didn't mind. It was actually quite comfy. He figured Pan must have been putting on a kimono.

Another five minutes passed, and when she walked out, he almost forgot how to breath. She wasn't wearing a kimono, though the dress she had on did favor the style of one. It was a modest cut, the flowing sleeves falling over her small wrists. The front part of the skirt only came down to just a few inches above her knees, but the sides and the back of it fanned slightly, making it appear to be a robe that fell down to her feet. The dress was a beautiful bright blue, with red and white daisies decorating the sleeves and the end of the skirt. Even Pan's hair was done up with a beautiful daisy kanzashi.

"Does it look weird...?" She asked him softly.

"No," Trunks answered immediately. "You look beautiful," he told her honestly, holding out his hand towards her.

She took it with a light blush. "Thank you... you look really nice in a yukata."

He gave her a charming smile. "The fireworks are about to begin. Want to go watch them?"

"Yeah," she nodded, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. When he squeezed her back, she felt as if her heart just might burst.

It was nearing ten at night before Trunks and Pan made it back to his house. They had stopped to get a bite to eat after the post-festival, and although the day had been fun, they were both happy to be back.

Trunks fell down on the couch, and Pan landed right beside him. They shared a small smile before Pan pulled out her phone. "I need another picture of us," she told him.

"Another one?" He raised an amused eyebrow. She had already taken several.

"Yes!" She chirped, "I took the pictures of us dressed up but now that we're back into our normal clothes I want another one. I don't want to forget a second of this."

Trunks leaned forward as she got her camera ready, and just as she went to snap the picture, he turned her head and kissed her cheek. She dropped her phone in surprise, and Trunks let out a small snicker. Quickly, with her cheeks burning, she scrambled to pick up her phone. She looked at the picture, thankful that it wasn't blurry. She had captured it just as Trunks' lips brushed her cheek and right before she was surprised.

"Thank you," she told him softly. "For today. It was so much fun."

"I had fun too," he told her, reaching a hand out to tuck a piece of hair that had fallen down behind her ear.

She leaned into his touch as his hand lingered against her cheek. "Can I ask you a question?" She whispered.

"What?" His voice was just as quiet as hers as his thumb gently stroked her cheek.

"Why did you and Gia break up...?" She had been wondering about it all day. The woman was beautiful, although Pan could tell that she was annoying the short amount of time she was around her.

Trunks was slightly surprised by her question, but he didn't pull back. "We just didn't click. She was too busy focusing on her image and I just wasn't that interested in being in an eye-candy relationship. I guess she wasn't my type."

"What is your type?" Pan questioned, aware that Trunks had leaned in closer to her. She could feel his breath against her lips and she licked hers expectantly.

"My Panna," he whispered, his thumb still stroking her cheek. He glanced at her full lips, wondering if it would be so wrong just to taste them. Maybe he had already over-stepped his boundary? But there was no denying it after the day he had with her. He liked her, more so than any girl he had ever been with.

Her eyes widened in shock, and she could feel the tears gathering in them. He liked her? She was his type!? She could see the question in his eyes, the confusion in them.

"You can kiss me," it was barely above a whisper, but she knew he heard it. "I know you want to... I want you -"

Before she could even finish the sentence, Trunks' lips were on hers. She could feel the electric current that rushed through her veins as her lips tingled. Her eyes widened in shock for a split second before she sighed, closing them. She focused on the way Trunks' firm lips melted against hers. The way her bottom lip slowly slid between his lips.

He pulled back, and it took her a second to open her eyes. She was still in a complete daze, her lips tingling as if they fell asleep. Trunks was smiling at her softly, and she just knew that her cheeks were on fire. He reached his other hand up so he was cupping her face.

"I'm going to kiss you again," he told her softly.

"Please," she whispered, wanting -needing- more.

His lips were on hers again just a second later. She sighed, her eyes closing as she leaned into him. Her lips were buzzing as he moved against hers slowly. His tongue skidded across her lips and in her surprise, she gasped. Trunks used this to his advantage and deepened the kiss, one of his hands coming down to hold the back of her neck and the other to rest on her back.

Pan's mind was in a frenzy as she she raised a shaky hand to his shoulder and another one into his hair. He hummed against her, so she figured it was okay. She had kissed before, but never like this! Timidly, she brushed her tongue against his and he sighed in response, his grip on her tightening and his kisses accelerating.

Pan shifted slightly, trying to get in a better position so she wouldn't have to crane her neck. Only problem was, she leaned a little too far back. The kiss broke with a small yelp from Pan as she fell back onto the couch. The bigger problem was, she was still holding onto Trunks so he came with her.

He leaned over her with wide, glazed eyes, his breathing was strong and Pan herself was panting. She bit the bottom of her buzzing lip and his lips twitched slightly. He leaned down slowly, waiting for any sign that she didn't want it. When she showed none, his lips molded against hers once again.

It was different this time than the last one. Maybe it was because they were getting used to each other so it wasn't so awkward, or maybe it was because they were now pressed so closely together. Whatever the reason, Trunks liked it.

Pan's hands were running through his hair and now that she wasn't worried about doing anything wrong, every time he stroked her tongue a certain way, she would let out an adorable hum. Honestly, Trunks could spend the rest of his life kissing her like this.

But he wanted more of her.

With his hand on her waist, he started kissing her cheek. He could feel her lips twitch into a smile as she sighed and he couldn't help but smile back. His kisses began to go over more. To the spot behind her ear where he heard her gasp, and down her jaw, which she tilted so he could have a better access to it.

When his lips touched her neck, he could hear her gasp. He could feel her shiver run down her body, and he couldn't stop his small smile. He suckled her tender flesh as she gasped, her back arching slightly. As he moved his mouth lower he felt her stiffen slightly and he knew he was probably moving a little too fast for her. They had only just kissed, there was no need for him to get so excited, though he was very, very excited.

He leaned up, looking at her soft curious eyes. He smiled at her, and she smiled back. He had never had a kiss that made him feel as good as he did at the moment.

"It's getting pretty late," he told her gently, carefully getting off of her and holding out his hand for her.

She took it and stood up. "Yeah..." though she honestly didn't know if she would be able to sleep.

"I guess we should be heading to bed then," Trunks said softly. "You'll be heading out tomorrow."

Pan nodded slowly as she followed him up the stairs. Half of her wasn't wanting to leave... He stopped at her door, and rubbed the back of his head like he wasn't sure what to do next.

"I guess I'll see you in the morning?" He asked softly.

"Yeah," she gave a soft smile as she went to open her door. "Goodnight."

"Panna, wait," she heard him sigh. As she turned her head to look back over at him, he leaned down and brushed his lips against her. She felt herself sigh happily before he pulled away with a smirk.

"Goodnight," he winked before he turned to walk to his bedroom.

Pan was left grinning in the middle of the doorway.
