So ironically enough, this next chapter has been ready for a few days but its actually pretty long. I've been trying to upload it but my computer just freezes and I was getting really frustrated. It wasn't until tonight that I decided to try dividing the chapter into 3 parts and it worked! Well, every part except that last part but I promise to get that out soon.

Olivia Pope and Associates

Quinn tried her best to work on her research but found herself getting more and more irritated. It was 11:45 and the others still hadn't returned and Douglass insisted on coming in and bothering her every 30 minutes or so. At some point she went down to a little cafe on the corner and got them both sandwiches and drinks, hoping that a full stomach would keep him quiet.

It didn't work but at least she had tried.

When noon came, as if on cue, Harrison and Abbey came into the conference room laughing with Huck following close behind them. Quinn looked up when she heard them walk through the door.

'Where have you guys been?'

Harrison was smiling before he saw the glare on Quinn's face. Even though Olivia had not formally left him in charge, he had been there the longest and felt responsible in her absence. He straightened his face and then tightened his tie up a bit.

'We went to go and get the security footage from around the block. After that was over we just stopped to get a quick bite to eat. I'm sorry we forgot to call.' he said apologetically. During their little trip out, Harrison had almost forgotten Huck was with them. Being with Abbey made him lose sense of time and he knew that wasn't good but he just couldn't help himself.

Rolling her eyes, she sat back in her chair and crossed her arms. 'While you were out, Douglass revealed the reason he stared at me so much is because he's once seen my photo in a file at Jennifer's house. I've been trying to find what type of connection I had with them.'

Although Abbey understood the seriousness of the situation, she couldn't help but take this opportunity to tease Quinn just a little.

'Is it that or are you trying to cover up the fact that you and Douglass did frequent business.' Abbey remarked with a smirk.

Harrison delivered a quick pinch to the back of Abbey's thigh, a signal for her to lay off. With a slight smile, he grabbed a camera sitting on the conference room table and took a picture of Quinn's face, nearly blinding her. The photo almost immediately printed from a printer that sat in the room and he placed it on the window with the other gathered evidence.

'You've officially become another piece that needs to be placed into the puzzle.'

He smiled as he and Abbey walked past her to get their laptops from their offices.

Huck, who hadn't said a word since they had returned, approached the spot where she was sitting at the table. He placed a togo box beside her computer.

'I didn't forget. We went that little place Harrison likes. T.D. Burger. I remembered you like the Washington without onions.' Without another word, Huck walked out of the conference room and into the small closet he has claimed as office space.

11:55pm The White House

After Fitz saw that there was no way to get Olivia's mind off of work, he had given in and sat beside her to read over some emails and paperwork that had been sent to him. It had been mostly silently for the past few hours except Olivia's phone occasionally buzzing with emails and texts. She had put on her half rimmed glasses and she had her legs crossed, dangling her right shoe on her toes.

Fitz looked at the clock and noticed that lunch time was approaching and he knew that they both needed a break. He scooted closer to her but Olivia's eyes never left the iPad she was tapping away on.

'Fitz' she said in a scolding tone.

'I wasn't going to try anything. I was just being a bit curious. What exactly are you working on?'

'Well if you must know, I'm working on your schedule for next week.'

'That's not your job. They should pay you more.' a grin crept on his face.

'You're right, I wish you would tell my boss that.' Olivia never looked up from the tablet. While they did have bigger problems than his schedule to handle, she knew she needed to take care of this herself. She quietly rearranged all of his appointments for the next week, leaving him enough time to have a private lunch with her everyday. She smiled deviously to herself, thoroughly satisfied.

Fitz picked up the cordless phone from the table and put in a call to the main kitchen. While the phone rang, he picked Olivia's feet up from the floor and placed them in his lap, removing her Jimmy Choo pumps. Olivia looked up from her iPad and gave him a nasty look but he just smiled back at her. She tried snatching her feet away but was unable due to his strength. After fidgeting for a few more seconds she sighed and stopped and allowed him to continue.

Fitz smiled victoriously, and continued making circles with his thumbs on her left foot. Olivia let out an involuntary moan but quickly covered her mouth, causing Fitz to chuckle.

After placing the lunch order, Fitz hung the phone up and scooted closer to her. He pressed the button on the top of her tablet, making it go into sleep mode, and placed it on the table.

'Some of us are trying to get work done.'

Fitz holds up his watch 'Legally, we must take a lunch break. Labor laws and such.' he grinned.

'So I figure we have at least 10 minutes before they come with our food. Is there any way I could maybe get a kiss during that time?' he smiled at her, still gently rubbing her feet.

Olivia tapped her index finger to her lips as if she was thinking about her answer but she already had it.

'I don't think there is any way you could maybe get a kiss during this time.'

'And may I ask why?'

'Well as your 'girlfriend'', she put the word in air quotes. It sounded so juvenile but she liked it a lot better than calling herself his mistress. 'I would love to kiss you. But as your employee, I must decline the offer. 8-5 are standard business hours so I'm the clock, Mr. President. These are President and Fixer hours.' she said matter of factly and tried snatching her foot back again but he wouldn't let her.

'Well if I fired you, I wouldn't have this issue anymore.'

'You couldn't find anyone better even if you searched the universe.' she scoffed.

'Well, there is one small place in here where the cameras cant see.' he gently removed her feet from his lap, placing them back on the floor and stood up, offering her his hand.

Olivia took off her glasses and placed them on the table and looked up at him. 'We cant do this in here. We already took it too far this morning.' She hated having to always be the rational one who had to cut their kisses and hugs short.

'Livvie, you have to trust me. Please? A few more little kisses wont hurt.' his lip was slightly poked out.

Olivia sighed but smiled and took his hand. She was amazed at how he managed to draw her back in whenever she tried to resist. He lead her to a small corner of the office and shut the curtains then placed his hands on her sides and pulled her against his body. As he went in to take her lips she turned her head so he'd miss.

'Fitz, you just ordered food. Somebody may come in and see us.'

'Any intern knows to knock before coming into the President's office.' Before she could get another word out, Fitz began placing kisses on her neck, his favorite area to exploit.

Olivia found herself weak in the knees and wrapped her arms around him tightly, her whimpers begin to fill the air and he began gently sucking at her skin, intent on leaving his mark on her. As her whimpers began to turn into moans, Fitz's hands moved down to her backside, causing her to gasp as he squeezed it in his hands.

If they had been sitting and doing work, they would've heard the sound of shoes rapidly coming their way and the door swinging open. They didn't look up until they heard a gasp. Olivia quickly snatched herself away, only to see Cyrus standing in the doorway.

Her face reddened and her body heated up, she glanced at Fitz then looked away and walked towards the couch where her things were.

'Olivia..' Cyrus whispered lowly in shock. How could he have been so blind? How did Hollis find out before he did?

True enough, Cyrus loved Fitz but Olivia felt as much like a daughter as Ella. His mind began racing and all he could see was the headline 'President's Mistress' with her name plastered on it. It made him almost want to throw up.

'Olivia, wait..' Fitz tried to protest she quickly put on her shoes and walked past Cyrus and out the door, not even bothering to put her blazer back on.

Fitz sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. He decided to give her time to cool down then call later.

'The polite thing would've been to knock, Cy.' he walked away from their little secret hiding spot and sat on the couch and gestured to the couch across from him. 'Come and sit before you have another heart attack.'

Fitz originally had no intentions on forgiving Cyrus for what he had done but Olivia had convinced him to see things differently. If it wasn't for her, Cryus, Mellie, Hollis, and Hitchinson would all be on their way to an extended stay at a federal prison.

Cyrus sat down at the couch across from Fitz, his hands shaking.

'Cyrus. I know happened.' Cyrus didn't even hear him at first, his mind still racing.

'Did you say something, sir?'

'I said, I know what happened.'

Cyrus sighed, running his fingers through his gray hair.

'She told you?'

'Yes. She told me. Why didn't you tell me?'

'Fitz.. I.. It had been a long race for everybody. We were on the bus, headed to New Jersey and Hollis said he knew an easy way out. Initially nobody agreed, but once the race continued and we saw how tight it had gotten, we knew we had to do something.' Cyrus said honestly.

'Well I want you to know that the only thing that saved your asses was Olivia. She was the only reason I didn't get rid of all of you.'

'She's actually the reason I came to talk to you, Fitz.'

'What about her?'

'It's Hollis, sir. Hollis knows about you all's "relationship". I saw him today and he said he wanted to use Olivia as leverage against you to get what he wants.'

Fitz eyebrows furrowed with anger and he leaned forward. 'And how does he plan on doing this? Does he plan on hurting her?'

'I'm not sure sir but that wouldn't be anything extreme for Hollis. I want to suggest that we remove Olivia all together. It's too dangerous for her here. I don't mean not using her ideas, but just relocating her out of DC and out of Hollis' reach.'

'Cy, I know you're worried about her, but Olivia and work together as a team. I'm not going to send her away unless she wants to leave. I will personally get a few more people to follow her closely.'

Cyrus sighed, knowing that he couldn't argue with him. He stood up to leave, still somewhat shaky.

'I'll be in my office, sir.'

'Get some fresh air, Cyrus. You're turning purple.'

Cyrus made it to the door but then turned around. 'May I ask you something?'

Fitz raised his eyebrows but nodded. 'Of course.'

'Do you love her?'

'Do I what?'

'Do you love her? Do you love Olivia Carolyn Pope? Because I saw the way she looked at you before she left and I know she loves you and if this all tears apart and she headlines as 'America's Whore', I need to know that love destroyed her and not some affair. Do you love her?' Cyrus knew he was speaking out of term but he needed to know. He would kidnap Olivia himself if it meant keeping her safe.

'Yes, Cyrus, I do love her.'

'More than the White House?'

'Way more than the White House.' Fitz stood up and walked over to the older man and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

'I'm going to take care of her. She'll be fine.'

Cyrus smiled but obviously wasn't convinced. He walked out the Oval and back to his office.

Fitz sighed and sat behind his desk and called to the kitchen, changing his lunch for two to a lunch for one then called Tom into his office. It took him a few minutes but he walked in soon.

'Yes, sir?'

'I want you to contact the two agents with Ms. Pope and see to it that she got home safe. Then I want you to get the 5 best agents on surveillance of her apartment. Someone is to be watching at all times. Understand?'

'Yes sir.' Tom saluted and walked out of the office. He had only laid eyes on Olivia a few times but he had seen Fitz's face light up when she came around or when her name was mentioned. He had been by his side for almost 4 years and had never seen him so happy.

Olivia had ordered some Chinese takeout for lunch and ate it while she worked on her computer in her living room. She knew she shouldn't be but she was too embarrassed to call Fitz and tell him she was alright. She needed a little bit of breathing room. It frustrated her that Fitz made her so reckless when they were together. She knew better than to let a few kisses take her guard down but she couldn't help herself.

A weekend apart would be good for them. She would have time to calm herself down and start avoiding him at work. She knew she had her own office but she spent so much time with Fitz, she hadn't even seen it yet.
