Daphne had been working for most of the morning and figured she needed to check in on Brody and she sent him a text message not knowing if he would answer her or not. She didn't know how smart it was to leave him alone.

Daphne: Hey bro, you doing okay?

She got back to what she had been doing for Nora, and waited for her brother to reply to her text message.

Brody: Hey don't text, they could follow my messages.

Daphne: Geeze sorry.

Brody: You didn't know.

Daphne rolled her eyes, and would have to go home for lunch to check on him anyway to make sure he didn't destroy the place.

" I want to meet Marty," Melissa said to Todd, who was sitting by her bed in the hospital room. She had finished her food a little while ago.

"What?" Todd said shocked.

"I said I want to meet Marty," Melissa replied as she looked at him.

"Why would you want to do that?" he asked.

"She's my sister. That's why I came to town to meet her," she replied.

"You aren't expecting me to introduce you to her are you?" he wanted to know.

"Well you know her and I can't very well just show up on her doorstep," she said logically, even though Marty obviously knew about her. She had visited her and it had been clear she had known about her.

"Oh fine," Todd said with a sigh," I will set up a meeting for you two to meet," he said.

"Oh thank you! Thank you!" she said excitedly.

Inside Rodi's Victor went to find the manager and get an application for Arielle who was sitting at a table now. The manager told Victor that Arielle could fill out the application right now and he would interview her after the application was filled out. So Victor brought a pen and the application to the table that Arielle was sitting at.

"Are we sure that this is a good idea?" she wanted to know as she picked up the pen, looking at the application in front of her.

"Yes. I'm sure you'll learn really quick how to wait on tables," Victor said," Besides you need a job."

"Well yes its true I need a job," Arielle said as she started to fill out the application in front of her, taking her time. She was hoping that the interview would go really well then she'd feel a lot better, especially if she got the job.

"You'll be great," Victor said smiling.

Sharon and John had finished most of their pie as they were talking, well mostly flirting with each other.

"Okay. I should probably go before my dad checks in," Sharon said closing the lid to her half eaten pie piece.

"Yeah," John said, not wanting her to leave.

"Don't worry I'll be back," she said with a smile as she picked up the fork and the pie container, and put her purse over her shoulder. John smiled at her as she got up to leave his desk.

"So I'll be seeing you again?" he asked.

"Oh you'll definitely be seeing me again," she promised and then she walked away from his desk. She had no idea that he was watching her walk away, but he was.

XOXOXOXOX

At lunch time Daphne stepped into Nora's office," Hey Nora. I'm going to head home for lunch. I won't be gone long," she said to her boss.

"Take as much time as you need," Nora said," I don't want you to starve," she joked.

"Thanks," Daphne said with a smile," I'll see you when I get back." With her purse over her shoulder and keys in hand she left the office to head to the elevators to go down to the parking lot. She hoped that her brother hadn't turned the hotel room upside down, she didn't need to be paying for any sort of damages.

By the time Daphne made it back to her hotel room, Brody was laying lazily on the couch channel surfing.

"Is that what you've been doing all day?" Daphne demanded when she saw him.

"Hey I need to do something to take my mind off this mess," Brody replied.

"The mess you got yourself into," Daphne reminded annoyed with him.

"How was I supposed to know they'd be after me?" he demanded.

"Well clearly they want their money!" Daphne said.

XOXOXOXOX

" What's Marty like?" Melissa asked Todd.

"Well she looks like you," Todd said confused.

"Obviously," Melissa said with a smirk," I meant her personality though."

"Oh," Todd said," Well she is the most expressive person I know. She is open and honest. She's not afraid of anything. She's bold and brave," he continued.

"She sounds amazing," Melissa said.

Todd wished he could tell Melissa the truth about her twin sister, but he didn't want to burst her bubble. She seemed so excited to meet Marty, he didn't have the heart to tell her what he knew.

"Did she have any kids?" Melissa asked.

"She had one son, Cole. But he died in a car accident when he moved away from Llanview. He was headed towards New York to live there with his girlfriend and daughter."

"Oh no," Melissa said sadly," What happened to his girlfriend and daughter?"

"His daughter died in the same car accident as him. The girlfriend was the only one who got out of the car before it fell off a cliff."

"She doesn't live in Llanview any longer?"

"No my daughter doesn't live in Llanview any longer,'" Todd said softly.

"Cole had a baby with your daughter?" Melissa asked surprised.

"Yes," Todd said," I had a beautiful granddaughter named Hope. "

"Oh Todd, I'm so sorry you lost a grandchild. That must be so painful," she said sympathetically.

He hadn't spoken to anyone about little Hope in years, it still hurt his heart to think he'd never see her grow up.
