A/N: So I am diverting attention back to Kaidan , its been awhile, no?
Kaidan's First Pokemon
Kaidan followed closely behind Whitney as she led him towards Bill's house. "Your first pokemon, Kaidan! Arent you excited?" She gave him a light smile as they continued to walk with Jennifer and Morgan in close pursuit.
"I am, I wonder what will be my first pokemon?" Whitney said as she accidently brushed against Kaidan. "Will it be a normal pokemon like Miltank… or a pokemon like…" She glanced at Jennifer. "A Ekanssss." She then proceeded to to move two of her fingers to make it look like she had fangs and let out a light hiss.
Jennifer got pale white and yelled, "why do you do that sometimes Whitney?"
"To change things up a bit. I can't be bubbly all the time."
"Oh yeah, speaking of that Whitney, Is it true that you get real… emotional when you lose?" Morgan asked.
"Where did you hear that? I did that when I first started this pokemon training thing. I grew out of it." Whitney replied, slightly embarrassed at the fact that she used to throw real bad temper tantrums not fit for a sixteen year old girl like her. She then stuck her tongue at the two of them and continued talking to Kaidan.
"You just admitted it!"
Jennifer than tugged on Morgan's arm in order to get attention from the taller girl.
"Hmm?" Morgan said as she leaned over for Jennifer to whisper in her ear.
"Those two sure are something. Do you think they like each other?" Jennifer whispered as Morgan giggled.
"They might. They sure are close." A small smile then appeared on her face, "I can always blirt it out."
"No don't do that." Jennifer replied as she looked at two supposed couple. "They are having a good time talking to each other."
"Alright. So is there anyone you like Jen?" Morgan asked, "I see you eye Kaidan once in a while."
"Well it's just the fact that he's very mysterious."
"So you do like him? I didn't think you were the type to be into mysterious guys."
"Well not exactly…." Then Kaidan and Whitney turned around out of curiousity. Apparently they both heard what was being said about them. With blank looks on their faces. Kaidan opened his mouth out of disbelief. While Whitney had a slight reddish tint to her face.
"What are you two talking about?" Whitney questioned eyeing the two blondes. "Jennifer Lilac and Morgan Gedeon? Tell me what are you talking about?"
"Nothing," they said in unison.
"Thought so." Whitney said before turning around, grabbing Kaidan by the arm and pulled him into following her again. "Lets run Kaidan."
"Alright."
Morgan and Jennifer then witnessed the two run away from them.
"Did you see and hear her response?" Morgan giggled, "she totally likes him."
"Yeah…"
Kaidan and Whitney then knocked on a door to a medium sized house. A man that appeared in his mid-twenties opened the door and welcomed the two in. There were numerous Ethernet cables then ran on the floor, connecting various computer to routers and other computers. "Sorry about the mess. Whitney."
"That's to be expected for Goldenrod's computer expert. Kaidan, this is Bill." Whitney said as she shook Bill's hand.
"Ah so this is the guy that ran into you in the Ilex forest? Nice to meet you Kaidan." Bill said as he shook hands with Kaidan.
The three then heard footsteps from upstairs. It must have been Hershel.
"How is he? We had stopped somewhere yesterday and he had to go to the bathroom like he was sick."
"He got home fine and didn't say anything about being sick. Ever since he moved in with me from the Hoenn region he has been acting… weird. Ever since my Aunt and Uncle found the Omega Stone under Mount Coronet, weird occurrences have been happening. Here is a picture that they took of the Omega Stone's resting place." Bill explained as he got ahold of a photo album and looked through it to find the picture that his Aunt and Uncle took. It was of a pedestal with the dark stone sitting on top of it with a upside down symbol of the trinity (A triangle with points that served as the centers of circles. One circle was on each point.) "The stone and the ruins that were around it are dated back one thousand years."
"One thousand years?" Kaidan asked, "wow."
"It's funny most of the ruins that dot Kanto, Johto, and Sinnoh all have a similar design. With that very same symbol. The mystery of the Ruins of Alph. I would love to visit them but I am too busy working on the Box system."
"The box system?" Kaidan asked, to him it sounded pretty darn cool.
"I have already implemented a alpha version in Kanto, which delivers a chosen pokemon from a Professor's Lab into the Indigo Plateau. Heck, it's part of the reason why people are told that the seventh pokemon they catch is sent to the regional Professor. But I'm trying to change that. One day every Pokemon center will have a perfected box system. Maybe even have a laptop variant that you can use while traveling to store and receive your pokemon during your adventure when your not even in town! That is my dream."
"I think you should have it as a pay to use service." Hershel said out of nowhere, apparently while Bill was talking, he walked down and overheard everything. Hershel was wearing a dark overcoat with his signature white top hat. He had his silver hair pulled back behind his shoulders. "I am leaving Cousin."
"Where to?" Bill asked, this shocked him as Hershel, especially after yesterday, was in no condition to travel. But he seemed to be in better health. What is with him?
He closed his green eyes. "I am… going to fulfill my destiny. Bye cousin." Then he pulled out the Omega Stone and let it hang from his own chest. "And Kaidan I look forward to seeing your career as a pokemon trainer develop. May our pathes cross again." He then smirked as he walked past Kaidan and Whitney.
"You to, Hershel." Kaidan said as he opened the door and turned to the left to walk away. "What is with him?"
"So I am sorry that he turned up like that." Bill said, "I also talked too much hahah. You want to catch a Pokemon?"
"Yeah I do." Kaidan said as Bill opened the back door. "I am not sure what I want for a partner yet."
"Well you will need one of these Kaidan." Whitney said as she pulled out a tiny red and white ball. Kaidan then picked the ball up and tapped it once to make it bigger. "Wow. Just, wow."
"What you want to do Kaidan is weaken the pokemon first." Whitney instructed, "then you get the pokeball and throw it at the dazed pokemon and wait three to five seconds and when the white button goes red, that means its caught or if the ball stops shaking."
Jennifer and Morgan then showed up, panting. "I can't believe you all took off and left us standing!"
"Haha, sorry you two. Bill those two blondes, well the blonde with green eyes is Morgan and the shorter blonde with brown eyes is Jennifer."
"Nice to meet you Bill!" Jennifer called out, "Kaidan is going to catch a Pokemon right?"
"Yeah! I can't wait. I hope I don't get friendly fired…" Kaidan said as he walked around the backyard cluelessly. "Shouldn't I go into a alley?"
"Naw." Morgan said, "Team Rocket members might be lurking in the alley!"
"Well that's a way to stereotype Team Rocket haha." Bill laughed at the idea. It was a good way to sterotype Team Rocket.
Kaidan continued to look around trees and through taller grass. Nothing. Then all of a sudden he heard something meow. "Meowth?"
"A Meowth?! Catch it Kaidan!" Whitney called out, "let your first type be a normal! Just like me! Here use Miltank!" She said, tossing her pokeball that contained Miltank at Kaidan. Kaidan then threw the pokeball yelling Go Miltank!
"Another thing for those two to have in common. " Morgan whispered in Jen's ear, "and one less thing you and Kaidan have in common."
Jen could feel her cheeks get warm after hearing that. "Be quiet. I want to watch."
"Mil!" Miltank called, Kaidan on the other hand, didn't have a clue as to what to do. What am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to direct the Pokemon or am I supposed to stand here and watch?
Whitney then went to Kaidan's side. "You order the Pokemon to use any attacks that you know it's learned. Sometimes Pokemon have attacks that the trainer is unaware of until they subconciously show it in battle. The moves I know Miltank has for sure is Rollout and I'm just fine using it."
"I see, thanks Whitney." He turned, "Miltank use Rollout!"
Miltank then proceede to curl up and started to roll circles around Meowth. The Meowth tried to dodge Miltank to no avail.
"You see Kaidan, the longer Miltank rolls, the faster and harder it hits." Whitney explained, "I win all my battles by doing that. It ticks people off to."
"Thanks again." He smiled at her and then yelled "Alright! Make contact Miltank!"
"Meowth!" the cat yelled as it did a couple of backflips before landing on it's belly.
"Hey Jen, you see how Miltank is following Kaidan's orders effectively? Usually Pokemon have a problem not listening to trainers other than their own. It's said that the Pokemon usually holds the same feelings as the trainer does."
"So you mean… Whitney feels the same about Kaidan?"
"And the other way around. Those two have something very special." Morgan said.
"It's dazed. Throw your pokeball, Kaidan." Bill said.
I told myself it would be a turnoff to ever be a Pokemon Trainer a couple of days ago. But even I am curious as to how it will go. I lost my memory for a reason. This may be my first step into something bigger. To find out where I came from and who I really am. Kaidan thought as he stared at the pokeball.
"Come on Kaidan throw the ball!" Morgan said, "quit hesitating!"
It may not be that bad. I got friends now, something I started out not having back in the Ilex forest. A home and… He looked at Whitney. She caught his gaze and smiled back. Her. That's right. Her, she and I met in a very funny way. Everyone is expecting me to throw this ball. Once I throw this ball everything will change. But you know what? I am open to it. He then looked up at the meowth. "GO pokeball!"
He then tossed the ball, and a red ray of light enveloped Meowth and sucked it in. The ball then started to shake as the pokemon desparately tried to break the ball. Then, giving up it's second battle, the ball stopped shaking.
"Way to go, Kaidan." Whitney said as she gave him another hug, "I am proud of you!"
"Thanks Whitney. First of many I guess?"
"Yeah you can carry around six. I wonder who else you will have on your team?" Morgan said, "Now your in the world of pokemon haha. Right Jen?"
"Yeah.." Jen said quietly, a tear falling down her cheek. "He is."
"What's wrong Jen?" Kaidan said.
"It's nothing. Tears of happiness." Jen said with a light smile. "I am glad you got a Pokemon."
"Let's meet him." Kaidan said as he threw the ball yelling, "Go Meowth!"
"Meowth!" the young cat said.
"Nice to meet you I am Kaidan. Hope we can become friends." he said as he stared into the Pokemon's eyes.
"Meow?" Meowth said as it looked back into Kaidan's brown eyes. Nodded 'yes.'
"I am glad Meowth." Kaidan then crouched down and Meowth jumped into his arms. This is not going to be bad after all. He thought as got up and said 'return' causing a red beam to shoot from the pokeball and returning Meowth back into it's ball.
"So are you going to nickname him?" Jennifer asked, "Most trainers do."
"No, Meowth is just fine." Kaidan replied, "Hey Whitney want to go back home now?"
"Yeah." Whitney smiled, "It's getting to be a bit late. First I need to go to the gym. Kaidan why don't you go to the Pokemon Center and get registered?"
That's right she's a Gym Leader, so no doubt she has to see if she has any challengers. What.. Gym Leader? That means if I do decide to compete in the Johto League, I have to face her!? He couldn't help but look down at the ground. She's so good.. But she just started. I don't even know if I do get strong enough I still may not be able to beat her.
Whitney then shook Bill's hand, thanking him for letting them come over and winked at Kaidan before leaving. "She left without saying bye to either of us.." Morgan stated, "She can be so ditzy sometimes. Oh well, we'll come with you Kaidan to the Pokemon Center."
"I have to go guys." Jennifer said, "I need to go home. I forgot that I have to do something for my mom."
"Looks like it will be you and me." Morgan said as she pulled Kaidan's arm.
