(A/N: You guys are the best! You really are. Your reviews left me reduced to happy tears. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this chapter. I don't own any song titles or lyrics, just as I don't own Ouran. Enjoy the chapter!)
Chapter 6: Check Yes, Juliet
Sam realized later, when she checked her phone that her parents hadn't called her once. It was odd. She decided to send them a text so that they'd know that she'd been shot, but was fine.
A couple of days ago, I was shot in the side. I'm on my way to recovery, though. So no need to worry.
A couple of minutes later, her phone started ringing. Big surprise, it was her father.
"Yes, father dearest?" Sam replied in her usual sarcastic tone she took up with him.
"HOW DARE YOU LET YOURSELF GET SHOT! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US SOONER?!" Her sweet tempered father lovingly screamed.
"I'M SORRY! I JUST GOT HOME FROM THE FUCKING HOSPITAL! I SHOULD HAVE JUST CALLED YOU WHILE BLOOD WAS GUSHING FROM MY SIDE!" She wasn't going to take this bullshit; plus, wasn't a parent supposed to care more that their kid was hurt rather than the kid telling them immediately via cell phone? Speaking of, this yelling was making her side twinge quite insistently.
"YOU WENT TO THE DAMN HOSPITAL?!" THAT'S what he got from that?!
"I HAD A FUCKING BULLET-WOUND! OOTORI PULLED SOME STRINGS SO NO ONE KNOWS THAT I'M A GIRL! WHAT'S THE BIG FUCKING DEAL?!" Sam was coughing and quivering with rage.
"OOTORI KNOWS?!"
"YES, HE DOES! AND WE HAVE EVIDENCE THAT HE TRIED TO HACK INTO OUR COMPANY'S MAINFRAME! I DON'T THINK HE'S IN A POSITION TO TELL ANYONE!" Sam's side really couldn't take more of this yelling, but damn if she could stop herself!
"…that's right. Well, try not to get shot again like a dumbass." Her father's abrupt change in tone and then hang up left her pissed and uneasy.
So she did the only thing that made sense to her. She turned to her bed, pulled her right leg back, and kicked the mattress with all her might screaming, "FUCK YOU, TOO!"
The mattress flew off of the frame quite spectacularly, her side hurt, and it was then she heard a delicate cough behind her. Sam turned quickly and saw Haruhi standing behind her looking equal parts concerned and embarrassed.
"Um, Sempai? I just came over to ask if you would like to eat dinner with my father and I since you are still recovering and need to be resting instead of cooking. I didn't mean to hear whatever argument you were having." Haruhi was looking at her sheepishly.
Sam blushed, coughed, and then responded, "That sounds nice, Haruhi-chan! I'm sorry you had to see that! My dad was just being an asshole. Should I bring anything?"
"Just yourself." Haruhi smiled.
####
Dinner with Haruhi and her father was an experience. It also showed Sam how Haruhi was able to handle Tamaki's dramatics with such ease. Ranka also was pretty much one of her favorite people with how incredibly accepting he is. He would be, considering that he is a cross-dresser as well.
Speaking of, Sam was having an interesting time getting ready for class this morning. She had grabbed an apple to eat so that she could take her pain meds (she had nearly gagged on some of those pills), washed her hair in the sink and given herself a sponge bath with a wash cloth that had some of her body wash and warm water dousing it, gingerly donned her uniform, braided her hair loosely, and grabbed her bag (and her guitar case) to wait for whoever was giving her and Haruhi a ride to school today.
A bunch of loud and persistent knocks told her that it was either Tamaki or Honey. Or the twins could be trying to piss her off. She opened the door and sighed with relief. It was Mori and Honey. Haruhi was standing behind them with a slight smile at Sam's change in expression.
"Hello Honey-sempai, Mori-sempai, Haruhi-chan!" She was glad to see them again.
Her good side was promptly glomped by her pint-sized sempai and Mori took her bag as they headed towards the limo waiting at the front of the complex.
####
Sam should have known that the customers of the host club would be in a full-frenzy at her return (and that damn Renge was still here!), their squeals were giving her a bit of a headache. But her customers' genuine concern touched her.
"So, I promised that I'd play something for you all once I had a guitar again…..what would you ladies like to hear?" Sam offered with a genuine smile. Her customers were really kind and since she wouldn't be able to participate in cosplaying until her stitches were out, she decided she'd provide some music.
They blushed and then began speaking over each other in an attempt to get their request heard.
"Whoa! One at a time; I'm going to bring my guitar back with me for quite some time!" She was smiling even wider.
"What about "Für Elise" by Beethoven?" Megumi suggested. Ah, the classical music lover.
"Sure, it's one of my favorites." Sam tuned her guitar to the proper key and let the song flow from her fingers. She got lost in the music and didn't notice that she had stolen the attention from all of the other hosts. Her customers had hearts in their eyes. And a certain glasses-wearing Host was looking at her in undisguised entrancement.
## Kyoya POV##
She was glowing. That look of utter bliss and contentment on her face was spell-binding. And then there was the beautiful music she produced with an ease that could only be natural talent. Tamaki was watching with a small smile that music always brought to his face, though Kyoya could tell that he was itching to accompany her on the piano. The twins were looking at her in shock. Mori and Honey were listening with closed eyes and slight smiles. Haruhi also had a small smile on her face.
This settled it, he was going to make Sam his girlfriend; damn the consequences!
##Sam POV##
As she finished the piece, she realized that it was entirely too quiet in the room. She looked up and noticed that the entire room was staring at her. And then she jolted as they burst out into applause and fan-girlish shrieks. She winced as that irritated her side. Rubbing her side in what she hoped was a discrete manner; she turned back to her distinctly red customers.
"So, what did you all think? It's been a while since I've played that one." She really didn't understand what all the hubbub was about her playing a song that she had learned years ago.
"It was beautiful!" Megumi.
"Spell-binding!" Akane.
"Could you play something else, too?" Yuri.
"What do you want to hear?" She asked, flattered.
"Why don't you play something that is one of your favorites?" Akane asked.
Sam thought about it for a moment, and the perfect song came to her. She played "The Only Exception" by Paramore. Her thoughts and eyes kept drifting over towards the object of her affections as she played from her heart and forced herself not to sing along. At the climax of the song, their eyes met and Sam knew she was going to make him her boyfriend; damn the consequences. She finished playing the song, and to her shock, her dandelions had tears in their eyes.
"That was even more beautiful, what was the name of that song?" Megumi asked, dabbing her eyes.
"It is called "The Only Exception" and it is by an American band called Paramore." Sam smiled wistfully at the thought of her and Kyoya together.
At that point the dandelions fainted from the expression on her face, and Kyoya walked over with an ice-pack.
"Don't think I didn't notice that wince after your first song." He said with a slight smirk that was overshadowed by worry. "Stay after club today, we need to talk."
Her heart skipped a beat when he whispered the second sentence in her ear. She gave a slight nod while putting on an impatient look on her face and quipping, "Yeah, yeah. I know. The Shadow King sees all."
She winked almost unnoticibley at him and a slight smirk crossed his face. "And don't you forget it."
####
While Sam waited, she decided to actually sing this time whilst playing "The Only Exception" since she was completely alone. (Kyoya had some business to attend to before he could come back to talk.)
"When I was younger I saw my daddy cry
And curse at the wind.
He broke his own heart and I watched
As he tried to reassemble it.
And my momma swore
That she would never let herself forget.
And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love if it does not exist.
But darling,
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
Maybe I know somewhere deep in my soul
That love never lasts.
And we've got to find other ways to make it alone.
Or keep a straight face.
And I've always lived like this
Keeping a comfortable distance.
And up until now I have sworn to myself
That I'm content with loneliness.
Because none of it was ever worth the risk.
Well you are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
I've got a tight grip on reality,
But I can't let go of what's in front of me here.
I know you're leaving in the morning when you wake up.
Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream.
Oh-oh-oh-ohhh.
You are the only exception. [4x]
You are the only exception. [4x]
And I'm on my way to believing.
Oh, and I'm on my way to believing. "
Unbeknownst to her, Kyoya had walked in somewhere towards the beginning of the song and was blushing profusely at the meaning behind the lyrics.
She looked up, and then saw him standing there with such an irresistible expression on his face that she decided to throw caution to the winds. She set down the guitar, ran over to him, and kissed him with all of her might. Almost instantly, he responded with equal fervor and wrapping his arms around her waist. She was euphoric, and her brain was short-circuiting at the intensity of the kiss.
Eventually, they both needed air so they parted. Both were flushed and panting slightly.
Kyoya smiled the brightest smile that Sam had ever seen on his face and he asked, "So, I suppose that you would be unopposed to being my girlfriend?"
Sam was pretty sure that she couldn't be fervent enough with words, so she just kissed him again with the widest grin on her face.
When they broke apart again, she said, "In case that was unclear, yes."
He smirked, his eyes dancing with barely concealed joy, "I think I gathered that much. By the way, did you even notice that you were singing that song in Japanese?"
Sam flushed slightly and rested her forehead on his chest, "No, I didn't. I guess Japanese has become more of a native language to me than English."
She felt him chuckle slightly. "That's rather adorable."
She looked back up into his eyes as a thought struck her, "What are we going to tell the others? And how will this affect the club?"
He thought for a moment and then responded, "We'll tell them privately at one of our homes. As for the club, I don' think our guests would mind subtle amounts of 'yaoi' between the 'cool host' and the 'rebel host.' It might even raise our profits."
Sam snickered as the typical Kyoya sentence at the end and her eyes were shining at the thought of not having to hide their relationship. "Why don't we invite them to my apartment? I know it's not very well furnished, but there is room for all of us to sit in a circle which would make for a good way to discuss this. And it is going to take some getting used to, to have people thinking us to be a gay couple. It might prove to be amusing."
Kyoya smirked, "Well, now that we have that settled; there's only one question left. When do you want our first date to be?"
Sam was smiling so much that she could hardly form a response. "How about Friday? I don't care where it is or what we're doing as long as we're together."
This time, it was Kyoya that initiated a kiss.
####
After we were able to pull ourselves together, Kyoya sent the others a text.
Please come to Sam's apartment now.
After Sam read that, she lightly smacked his shoulder with a slight grin. He just looked up at her with his "innocent" grin.
"Oh don't give me that look! Your grins are almost never completely innocent." She smirked, as she unlocked her apartment and let them both in. She set her bag and guitar case against the far wall next to the corner where she normally did her homework. Kyoya sat with his legs crisscrossed and held his arms out to her expectantly. She smiled and sat on his lap with a content grin. She felt remarkably safe and at home in his embrace.
Haruhi was the first to arrive, naturally. She raised one eyebrow at their position, but decided not to comment. Next was Tamaki, who was in a panic and had thought she was in trouble. He was about to make some dramatic comment when Kyoya silenced him with a look. Sam once again lightly smacked his shoulder with a grin. Then the twins came, and cracked devilish grins at their Sempais' position; and lastly the cousins arrived and looked wholly unsurprised.
"Everyone, please sit in a circle. We have something to tell you." Sam softly commanded. It was her apartment, so she had the right to use that tone. Unlike her sometimes cocky boyfriend. Squee!
The hosts repositioned themselves. Haruhi was to their right, then there was Honey, Mori, Kaoru, Hikaru, and Tamaki was on their left.
Sam looked at Kyoya questioningly, she didn't know if he wanted to be the one to tell them or if she had the honor. He spoke, "Sam and I are a couple now."
Hearing him say that, just made her incredibly happy.
The hosts, to their surprise, just smiled and the twins called out, "About time!"
Haruhi said, "I'm happy for you two."
Sam awkwardly hugged her friend from her spot on Kyoya's lap. Tamaki was making some weird sort of whimpering noise, so Sam turned to him and said, "Sorry, it appears as though I'm stealing your wife."
Tamaki froze and went to the emo corner and Kyoya was looking at her with a mixture of amusement and slight annoyance. She kissed him on the cheek with her own "innocent" grin. The twins were laughing at her remark, Mori smiled, Honey was raiding her pocky stash, and Haruhi was trying to prevent Tamaki from growing mushrooms in her apartment.
Sam was content.
####
When Kyoya told Sam that today's theme was Arabian, the most devious idea struck her mind. She gave her wary boyfriend a kiss on the cheek and went to tune her guitar excitedly. She was still on cloud nine, which meant she was feeling extremely playful.
As each of her friends came out of the dressing room, her devious grin just got larger. This was perfect. As Tamaki took his place in a throne like chair, Sam started playing "Prince Ali" from Aladdin with a smirk fully showing on her face. The others started and then were all trying to hide their amusement. Apparently Disney is universal. She then blended into "Arabian Nights" as her base song, still smirking. Her Kyoya was shaking his head in amusement and looking at her with a fond expression.
Just then, the doors opened. "Welcome!" they all greeted. She was still playing, but more quietly.
It was a little boy. He only had eyes for Tamaki, "You're the king of this host club, right?"
Sam subtly bridged back to "Prince Ali" in the background. "Why yes, young man. I am the Arabian king of these lands and the ladies' hearts."
The boy took on a determined expression, "I would like to apprentice under you, King!"
Tamaki's head seemed to be swelling, so Sam subtly started crescendo-ing the song. (The twins were barely refraining from laughter at this point.) "It would be an honor to teach such a wonderful young student."
It was agreed that the kid would come back tomorrow, so he could grasp the basics first.
Sam slipped back into playing "Arabian Nights" whilst wandering the room with a devious grin. She didn't have any appointments that day, because she couldn't participate in the cosplay. Whenever she got particularly close to the hosts, she would start playing songs that she felt were appropriate. Or that amused her.
When she passed Mori and Honey, she started playing "You Ain't Never Had a Friend Like Me" with a teasing grin on her face. Mori looked at her with amusement in his eyes and Honey bounced to the beat. She bridged back to "Arabian Nights" and wandered over to the twins. They were having an incest-y moment so she played "A Whole New World" very sweetly with and innocent expression on her face. They blushed and played along, but sent her a look that promised pay-back. Passing Tamaki, she once again played "Prince Ali" loudly with a smirk. Making her way to Haruhi, she winked and started playing "One Jump Ahead." Haruhi just rolled her eyes and grinned at her Sempai's antics.
Finally, she made her way to Kyoya. He had been watching all of her antics with amusement dancing in his grey eyes. She made her way over to him and started earnestly playing the last verse of "A Whole New World," after which she planted a small kiss on his cheek and sat down on his lap. She was exhausted from teasing the whole club for about an hour. Fan girl shrieks and nose-bleeds abounded.
He wrapped his arms around her and whispered into her ear, "So much for subtle."
She just smirked and whispered back, "With me, that's about as subtle as I could make it. I was very tempted to just make out with you right at the beginning of club hours."
He coughed, blushed and said. "Point taken."
The fan girls all shrieked, "MOE!" (Renge was leading the charge,… bother.)
####
"Okay, that is just creepy." Sam commented as she stood next to Kyoya observing the Kid (she knew his name, but he was being such a brat she was only going to call him "Kid") sit obscenely close to watch Tamaki host this one girl.
"I have to agree with Sempai here, Kyoya-sempai." Haruhi was as weirded out as she was at the display. (She had stopped, forgetting that she was getting tea for one of the other hosts that were currently hosting.)
Kyoya smirked slightly and responded, "Tamaki operates by the theory that beauty is magnified by closeness."
Haruhi sighed and started to walk off as the Kid started to de-rail and de-suave Tamaki. Sam had to place a hand over her mouth to muffle the entirely too girly giggles that were trying their damndest to escape her. Kyoya pulled her into his arms so that they could both discretely muffle their amusement. (Him, by muffling his chuckles in her hair; her, by muffling her giggles in his chest.) The fan girls shrieked at this, but the Kid turned to the twins and called them "homos" in a very mean way. Amusement, gone.
Sam whipped around and stalked toward the kid with a dark aura about her. "Do you have a problem with someone loving someone of the same gender, kid? Because my boyfriend and I are very happy together."
The kid paled at the expression on her face, and turned away almost crashing into Honey. Honey sweetly offered the Kid some cake, to which the Kid accused him of being a grade schooler. The look of hurt in Honey's eyes enraged Sam further. Mori stepped in, and the Kid ran his mouth again about Honey's size. Haruhi tried to smooth out the situation, but immediately got called "queer."
Kyoya wrapped his arms around her waist and whispered into her ear, "Tamaki's got this."
Sam relaxed into his embrace, and barely paid attention as a cage rather suddenly dropped down on the Kid and Tamaki made a heartfelt speech.
Kyoya led her to one of the couches, as she laid her head against his shoulder and relaxed into a light nap.
##Kyoya POV##
Kyoya smiled one of his genuine smiles; it just felt right to have Sam resting against his side. He was worried that she was over-exerting herself by still involving herself in the antics that the host club found its way into with almost clockwork regularity. He also knew that she wouldn't stand by and let others do things for her very often. He sighed. He'd talk about that with her later.
He heard the rumbling of machinery and knew that the Lady Manager was about to make an appearance so he called out in his most calm and shadowy voice, "Please keep the noise level down, Sam is still recovering from his injuries and needs all the rest he can get."
The hosts and Renge froze in place, and then proceeded to whisper their dramatics.
He'd interrogate the others on the happenings later; right now he just wanted to rest with his girlfriend.
##Sam POV##
Loud whispering woke her up.
"-should wake them up, club hours are over." That was Haruhi.
"Are you crazy?! Both of them are blood type AB!" There go the twins and Tamaki.
Sam discretely opened her eyes and looked up at Kyoya, whom she was somehow now facing and communicated with a look that said, 'Shall you or shall I?' He nodded imperceptibly at her.
She turned toward them with the coldest expression on her face and stated in an equally icy tone, "We're already awake, idiots."
She could feel the stifled rumble of chuckles in Kyoya's chest, but knew he was giving them his best Shadow King look.
They all paled except for the observant Haruhi, Mori, and Honey. This proved too much for Sam.
She burst out laughing, and Kyoya joined in moments later. His laughter was beautiful and so care-free. Sam vowed to herself to make him laugh more often. Coming back to herself, she remembered something she had to tell them.
"I'll be missing tomorrow's club activities. My boss really needs me back and I really need to start working again." Sam stated to the other club members, and then turned to whisper to Kyoya. "Plus, if I want Friday night off….I need to have those hours tomorrow. And I don't plan on missing our date."
He nodded with the barest hint of a grin, "I have no objections."
"Hey lovebirds, stop with the sweet-nothings! You're giving us toothaches!" The twins, of course had to ruin the moment.
So Sam put on her most dangerously sweet smile, "If both of your teeth are aching so much, why don't I just remove all of them?"
She then sprang up with surprising agility for an injured person and started chasing them around the club room.
Kyoya was smirking and wondering just how lucky he was to have her. Mori and Honey were smiling. Haruhi was shaking her head and Tamaki was still in his emo corner because one of his daughter's would be missing tomorrow's club hours.
####
"Hey Boss! Long time, no see!" Was Sam's way of greeting Mr. Honda after her days she missed recovering.
"You got that right, brat! You'll be manning the register, so you don't go hurting yourself again." said in a surly way that didn't reach his eyes.
"Thanks, Boss!" Sam had a real smile on her face instead of a smirk. Was this what it was like to have an adult actually care about her?
"No need to get mushy on me, brat!" Her boss commented with just the slightest of grins on his usually passive face.
And that was that.
####
Sam walked to the club room and heard music. Beautiful music. She knew that song. She ran into the room, pulled out her guitar, and started playing the guitar accompaniment to the French piece that Tamaki was so magnificently playing. They both synced up flawlessly, and became lost in the music.
##Kyoya POV##
Kyoya was a little miffed when Sam just blurred past him, but then she started playing with Tamaki and all anger was forgotten. The two vastly different blondes were only adding to each other's playing. It was beautiful. She looked like an angel in that moment and not even young Shiro could resist their playing. He was inching towards them unconsciously throughout the song.
##Sam POV##
When the piece came to a close, she shared a small smile with Tamaki and they both nodded in admiration of their performances.
"That was so cool!" the Kid exclaimed.
Tamaki turned toward him with a serious expression, "You came to us under false pretenses. You said you wanted to become a full-fledged Host, when you really wanted to become a full-fledged man! For one must come to the woman they love as a man, and not a host! You will practice with me at every break and then you will put on a recital for Hina-chan so that she can know how you really feel!"
Sam looked at Tamaki in a whole new light; maybe he did have a serious side to him. She felt Kyoya's arms wrap around her (this seemed to be becoming a habit of his), and as he chuckled he whispered, "What, not so much as a hello to your boyfriend?"
She turned, pecked him on the cheek and whispered back cheekily, "Sorry, when the music trance hits me not even my own foot being on fire could faze me."
####
She was wearing a white tux. Why the fuck was she wearing a white tux? Kyoya, sensing her irritability at wearing something so light with no black to temper it whispered into her ear, "You'll see."
She shivered a little at the warm breath hitting her ear and then nodded.
And she did see. And what she saw was adorable.
She cornered the twins after their part was done and asked a favor.
####
She sneakily let the twins into her apartment with their 'make-over' bags.
When she saw the size of them she felt the need to remind them, "Please don't do anything over the top or frilly. Or pink. If you put me in pink, I will maim you."
"Relax, Sempai. We know just what to do with-" Kaoru began.
"-that punk look of yours." Hikaru finished.
They threw clothes at her for her to put on in private. She had to admit that she loved what they picked out. Then they sat her down on the bed and proceeded to put a wig on her and apply make-up to suit the look. Then they handed her some of the most glorious shoes she had ever seen.
She looked at them with the biggest smile on her face, "Thanks, you guys! You got everything just right." And before they could protest, she dragged them both into a hug.
"No problem, Sempai! Now could you release us, we can't breathe!" They gasped out simultaneously.
"Sorry, now why don't you go bug Haruhi? She lives in 201." She replied with a smirk. It was almost seven.
They smirked, and then scurried off to carry out their Sempai's whims.
Not two minutes later, there was a knock on her door.
He is here.
##Kyoya POV##
She opened the door and he was speechless. She was glorious. (Even with that black and neon green streaked wig hiding her much more beautiful blonde and blue hair) She was wearing a bright green, silky, strapless dress that had black corset-like detailing and the full skirt that went to her knees had some black tulle peeking out from underneath it and she was wearing stiletto peep-toe combat boots. But all of those things couldn't distract him from her.
Her blue eyes were glittering with happiness and were almost electric from the smoky eye shadow that surrounded them. Her glossed lips looked damn kissable. And that dress accentuated her figure in a way that made him want to be less of a gentleman.
"Are you just going to stand there ogling me, or are you going to hand me that lovely black calla lily you brought me?" Sam's voice brought him back to reality and he blushed. Her eyes were once again glittering, but this time with fond amusement.
She led him inside (damn if the back of her dress didn't look as thought-scrambling as the front!) and he handed her the flower for her to put in a glass of water on her counter top.
##Sam POV##
"You sure clean up nice, yourself!" Sam just had to quip, because she was slightly flustered still by the burning look she got from him at the door and he did look damn fine in his black dress shirt and dark wash jeans.
Kyoya seemed to recover his composure and took her hand to kiss. Then he murmured, "You do look very beautiful, Sam. Like always."
And she once again couldn't help herself. She kissed him as thoroughly as she could before innocently releasing him and asking, "So, where are we going?"
Kyoya shook his head for a moment and then he smirked, "It's a surprise. And don't think I won't be paying you back for that later."
She smirked back as they laced hands. "I'm counting on it…..by the way, you've got a little of my lip gloss on your face."
####
Their first stop was at a swanky American themed restaurant. (This seemed like an oxymoron to Sam, until she tasted the most amazing burger she had ever eaten.) They had just talked while they were there and it was amazing.
Sam learned that Kyoya was the youngest of four children and he only had one sister. She noticed that he spoke more fondly of his sister than his brothers. She learned that in his spare time, he enjoys swimming. She also learned just how much all of his friends meant to him. She had known that he was more caring than he let on, but not to this extent. She felt herself falling even more for him.
In turn, she told him what it was like growing up as an only child. She told him that her greatest fear was silence and being alone. That music had saved her from insanity. That being in his class in Ouran was the best thing that had ever happened to her. She felt so safe and excited to tell him all of this, because he genuinely seemed to be interested in what she had to say.
After they finished desert (apple pie that could make anyone melt), Kyoya started to get his smirk back.
Sam felt her own creep onto her face, "I know that look, where are we going next?"
His smirk widened, "You'll see."
####
We had VIP tickets to a freaking Black Veil Brides concert! As soon as Kyoya opened the door for her, she pushed him back against the car and kissed him harder than she ever had before.
This time, he had to break away. "As much as I love kissing you, if we don't stop now…we may never make it to that concert. And we have back stage passes, too!"
She gasped, pecked him one more time, and then dragged him towards the entrance to the venue. She could distinctly hear his chuckling, but couldn't bring herself to care.
They were led directly to the front of the seating, and she couldn't stop vibrating in excitement or stop turning and kissing Kyoya on the cheek.
Then the band came on stage. Sam rose to her feet and started cheering.
"Hello Tokyo! I'm sorry, but that's all the Japanese I know… but rock and music know no language boundaries! Let's rock this!" Andy Biersack yelled into the mic so that the he could be heard over the cheers. The music started.
"Last night a little dancer, came dancin' through my door
Last night a little angel, came pumping on my floor…"
Sam immediately began dancing along to the music.
##Kyoya's POV##
He did rather like the music, even if he couldn't understand a word of it. But what he couldn't keep his eyes off of were the swaying hips of his girlfriend. He now knew what she meant about only knowing "rock concert" moves. Looking around him, he saw other men eyeing HIS girl. So to hell with his dignity, he was going to join her. He grabbed her waist and began swaying with her, before twirling her around to face him. Her smile was radiant and they continued to dance to the music throughout the entire concert. He could get used to this sort of dancing.
##Sam POV##
"Is my wig still in place?" Sam asked. She was freaking out. She was going to meet some of her musical idols.
"Yes it is. Your make up is still perfect, and your dress is still in place. You're still the most beautiful girl I've ever seen." Kyoya responded calmly. The security guard that was leading them to the band's green room wore an amused expression.
Sam took a deep breath and then finally said, "Let's do this. Are they ready for us?"
The guard nodded and opened the door.
Andy was the first one to try and greet us, "Hello-shit, I mean, Hello!"
At that, Sam instantly felt more comfortable, "I speak fluent English, I'm from the states as well. You all were amazing, by the way."
The whole band smiled in relief and Ashley exclaimed, "Thank fuck, I thought this was going to be hella awkward!"
Sam and the band burst out into laughter, whilst Kyoya just politely smiled. "This is my amazingly awesome boyfriend, Kyoya Ootori. Unfortunately, he doesn't speak a word of English. He was the one who got us these tickets."
"Damn, he paid for 2 tickets to a concert he wouldn't understand a word of?!" Andy looked at Kyoya with a different look in his eyes. Like respect.
Sam smirked, "I did say that he is amazingly awesome, right? And he did tell me that he enjoys y'all's music. I do as well; you guys are some of my top role models musically."
Jake spoke up, "You want to be a musician? Do you play and instrument or sing?"
Sam blushed slightly before answering, "I play guitar and I do happen to write my own songs to sing."
Andy swiped Jakes guitar ("You ass!") and handed it to her. She was looking at it in awe (this was Jake freaking Pitts' guitar) for a couple minutes before Andy said, "C'mon, let's see what you got!"
Kyoya clearly understood what was going on and whispered, "You can do this, Sam."
Sam took a deep breath, and said, "Okay, I'll give it a try. But this is my first time singing this song, because of shit hitting the fan. Since it's mostly directed towards this guy who got me here, I thought it would be appropriate." The band all nodded and looked completely concentrated on her.
She started to play, and lost herself in the music. She sang,
"Sometimes I get so weird
I even freak myself out
I laugh myself to sleep
It's my lullaby
Sometimes I drive so fast
Just to feel the danger
I wanna scream
It makes me feel alive
Is it enough to love?
Is it enough to breathe?
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed
Is it enough to die?
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please
To walk within the lines
Would make my life so boring
I want to know that I
Have been to the extreme
So knock me off my feet
Come on now give in to me
Anything to make me feel alive
Is it enough to love?
Is it enough to breathe?
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed
Is it enough to die?
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please.
Let down your defences
Use no common sense
If you look you will see
that this world is a beautiful
accident turbulent suculent
opulent permanent, no way
I wanna taste it
Don't wanna waste it away
Sometimes I get so weird
I even freak myself out
I laugh myself to sleep
It's my lullaby
Is it enough?
Is it enough?
Is it enough to breathe?
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed
Is it enough to die?
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please
Is it enough?
Is it enough to die?
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please. "
Kyoya was looking entirely proud of her, which made her smile.
Then she looked at the band, they looked dumbstruck.
"Okay, I'm going to be real here….when I handed you that guitar, I didn't expect that. What's your name again?" Andy asked a thoughtful look on his face.
"Sam. I'd tell you my last name, but my parents are pretty influential and dislike my "musical hobby" as they call it. I can't have them finding out that I have no intentions of following their footsteps as their heiress until I have enough of a career to tell them to fuck off." Sam responded sadly, wishing that she could be more honest with them.
"Well Sam, all I can say is that you have some genuine talent and I hope that someday I can be the one to buy YOUR records. Isn't that right guys?" Andy said completely seriously.
They all answered in affirmative.
"That means more to me than I can say. But enough of this mushy stuff! If it's not too much to ask, I'd like to have a guitar battle with the guys!" Her smirk was back and she was practically glowing.
Andy started laughing, "Guys, the gauntlet has been thrown down! Will you rise to the challenge?"
And with that, the night continued on with laughter, trash talk, and some truly insane guitar riffs.

"Have I told you how awesome you are?" She had to clarify this. Kyoya needed to know how fucking awesome he is.
He chuckled, a smile on his face, "Enough times to dangerously swell my ego."
"Kyoya, I ended up getting every single one of Black Veil Bride's member's cell numbers. You are the best boyfriend ever, hands down! I would have been happy with a movie and a dinner, but you went and created the best night of my life!" Sam could honestly say that this is the happiest she'd ever been.
Kyoya's grin at her statements was truly beautiful to Sam.
When they reached her apartment, Sam had a plan. She dragged him to her apartment, unlocked it at lightning speed, opened the door, pushed him in, slammed him into the closed door, and proceeded to kiss his breath away.
His driver honked, and they both broke apart laughing slightly.
Kyoya smiled at her, "So I take it that I have a second date to look forward to?"
Sam smiled right back, "Oh, you have MANY dates to look forward to, Kyoya Ootori."

(A/N: I would once again like to clarify that I don't own ANY SONG LYRICS. This chapter was indeed a lot of fun to write! I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! Let me know!)
